Visited Cognition from out of town. This was one of the escape rooms close to our hotel. We did the Experiment room. I really felt like this was more of a 4 than a 3/5 difficulty room. The room design was pretty simple. Production was simple. But... puzzles were a good mix. Really had to think outside the box for some of them which I appreciate. Overall good experience, would have loved to try the rooms if we had time. read more

Great puzzles! Not too overly challenging but Not too easy either. They have a cool puzzle for you to solve in the waiting area as well (get your brain warmed up and ready lol). We tried it as a team building outing for fun (we only met each other within that week and are all in leadership roles). If we could do it barely knowing each other, trust that if you've got a group of friends or family you have known for a while, you'll be able to do these missions together nicely knowing each other's strengths and areas of opportunity. We had a lot of fun and the game master who monitored our group was helpful when we needed the help. He was also witty and had a good sense of humor (This adds to the experience honestly). Enjoy and have fun and remember things aren't always what they seem or are that obvious (but also don't break anything unnecessarily lol if they say it's not a prop don't touch it or use it lol). read more

Had a great time at Cognition Escapes. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did the 4 Rooms one and it was really cool. Had lots of different settings and cool decor and technology built in! The challenges were hard and I do wish we got just a it more time but wasn't too hard where it was impossible. A good challenge. My only gripe was that there was a lot of AI art integrated into the place. Lots of AI generated imagery that personally bothered me a bit. Not a fan of that. read more

So fun! We did "The Heist" and the setting was well decorated. The hints were really helpful and not too hard to decipher. It was cleverly made without giving away too much of how to solve the clues. We did their newest 4 doors room. This one had a different format. It was 4 rooms with you getting 20 minutes in each room so the experience is a little longer than the standard escape room. We had a party of 5 people do this room and we completed it just in time! There was only one puzzle we weren't able to solve but everything else we got. It was a fun room but overall I like the format of escape rooms opening up different things with fun locks, etc..a bit more than this format. Some of the rooms didn't have too much for us or we thought it fell a bit short but overall we had a fun time. read more

This is my group's third time coming back to Cognition Escapes and as usual, this place delivers a great escape experience! Our GM Chris and the rest of the staff were great. The rooms are always beautifully decorated and truly immersive. They also do a great job with making non-linear puzzles (puzzles that can be worked on simultaneously by different people). This time, we tried out their newest room 'The Fourth Door.' The process for this one was very different from a typical room experience---there were four 'mini' escape rooms tied together by a single narrative, and you had 20 minutes to solve each room (instead of progressing through them at your own pace). I'm not sure I was a fan of the format, but I always appreciate a place that is willing to try something new! This room also had a really nice mix of puzzle types. Though I think the overall challenge rating for the room is more of a 2 or 2.5 out of 5 than the listed 3/5 ranking. As a new room, there also seemed to be some electrical/wiring issues with some of the puzzles which added a little chaos to the experience. I'm sure they will be resolved soon, but if you're looking for a room right now (around 4.21.25 at the time of this posting), I'd recommend perhaps waiting a few more weeks before booking this one. read more

My 15year old and I did the "Experiment" escape room and had a great time! We got to meet and work with an escape room designer and loved the insights and information that they shared with us. The clues were given on upside down slips of paper under the door to the room so that we could use them if we wanted to or not if we changed our minds. The room was very clever and a lot of fun! We went here with a group of six, and we did the Heist room. We were nailing the first half and then got a little bogged down in the second half and barely made it out in time. The puzzles are well thought out and a good amount of challenge for our group of three adults and three kids ranging from 9-14 (the kids did awesome). We had to ask Shaz multiple times for a clue and it felt like he wasn't paying attention to us since there was always a long delay before he gave the clue and sometimes he ignored us all together. At the end we weren't even 50% finished with the puzzles. I have done other escape rooms that I really enjoyed but definitely not this one. I'll try a different location next time. read more

Great escape room place! My group and I did The Experiment. It's a single room with 60 minutes to get out. Unlimited hints and the host drops some hints if they see you're not on the right track. Our group used one hint and was able to get out for with ~20 minutes left on the clock! The puzzles were quite interesting with a lot of science involved (hence The Experiment). Everything played very well into that theme. Overall, a great place for an escape room! read more

Update: don't do The Heist. We finally made it back to do the final room and were really frustrated with this room. The room is very linear and also doesn't provide any sort of guidance of what to look for...so much that our first ten miniature we're full of head scratching and lot is standing around. They indicate they will not allow only 2 to do this room, however there is not enough to keep 4 busy. We had hoped this would be a good experience for a couple of first time escape room people but it was just the opposite. A real disappointment after the good experience in the other two rooms. read more

Did the Dark Room and the Heist with a group of 5, it was really fun! We made it out of both (with 7.5 minutes to spare on the Heist so it's definitely very doable). Chuck was a fun GM and definitely a kind soul. I actually really liked the theming of the Dark Room, and the little details they added in for the theming(no spoilers). The Heist was nothing unique but still a decently put together room. If they get more difficult rooms added, I would definitely come back and try them out! read more

Fun times had by all!! They definitely get an A+ for creativity and it was for sure challenging. We did the Heist which was the first escape room I've ever experienced. I have to say, I personally am not the person who would do this type of activity again, however, I highly would recommend that everyone try it at least once. I love puzzles and I love to be challenged but this wasn't my style. Still fun and exciting and they really did an outstanding job with the room but I probably wouldn't go again. I went with another 4 friends to escape THE EXPERIMENT room and we did! We had a great time! The building was a little difficult to find but our host was very friendly and helpful when we got in. None of us was absolute beginner nor expert, we asked for about 5-6 tips and were able to escape in 44 minutes, we probably would have been able to ask for less help but it would have taken way longer to get out. It was a really fun game and well designed. I would come back here for other games! The online booking process was also seamless, price was very reasonable. read more

I went with my co-workers (8 total) and we did "The dark room". It was a very fun escape room. The puzzles are not very challenging but definitely not easy compared to the other escape rooms I have been to. I guess it will be perfect for the beginner or someone who prefers something fun over hardcore thinking. (I am not an escape room expert nor passionating in puzzles, probably just because the puzzles in the escape rooms I have been to were more complicated than Room 5280's or because I went with a big group and all of them are smart :) ) We all worked well together and had a blast! I love our GM Chuck, he is super super nice and sweet, and he made our experience the best! It's not as large and expansive as other escape rooms, but makes up for it with fun puzzles that are a perfect balance between difficult and accessible. That is, there was no outside knowledge required (but it does help if you know a certain someone), and everything you need is within the room. it's been 3 days since i decided to take on 5280's world renowned escape rooms. I settled on "the experiment", and walked with my lovely girlfriend to the establishment. a friendly guy named Chris walked us through the process, the basics he called them, and told us we'd be let out in one hour time. I haven't had any food, water, outside communication... i've started seeing things. my mother calls to me. she died several months ago. why do i hear it so vividly? i was told i could have a sip of Chris' water he keeps with him. all i had to do was rate five stars and name drop him. god help me if he lies to me again. read more

My two friends and I went Room 5280 for our first ever escape room experience and it far exceeded our expectations. We could not stop talking about the room and friendly staff the entire car ride home. We did the Experiment room, one of their three options. I highly recommend for groups of 3-4. It's challenging yet fun and immersive. We completed the room but apparently it only has a 25% completion rate - which made us feel amazing! The staff are so kind, funny and care about their role in your experience. The experience itself, the customer service and the value are EXCEPTIONAL. Well, other than we didn't escape, we had a great time!! We arrived 15 min prior to our appointed time and were given very clear instructions on the room. We did In The Dark, so I feel like darkness added a level of complexity for sure. We were offered the ability to get unlimited hints, but we never asked for even one. Afterwards, when our host came back in, he gave us an additional 5 min (maybe they didn't have another appt scheduled after us??) and we were able to escape. I know, it didn't really count. We were also given a very detailed history of the story behind the room and he answered any and all questions we had. Very thorough. Very friendly. We enjoyed the puzzles and logic of the room. I would recommend this escape room & I hope to come back to try another one soon. read more
