Will (AKA Dark Overload) deserves a WHOLE LOAF of bread for our group of 5's experience on the 13th floor. We deeply appreciated his compliment of 400% better than the best and will cherish our time with Claudia and Elizabeth for many years. PS: where can I send a replacement poster read more

We did Shimmer Reef, which was nicely appointed and decorated and had lots of puzzles to complete of many different varieties. We all worked on different elements and escaped! The theme was good and our game master Alya was great. Very entertaining. Will definitely come back for other rooms. Ample parking and clean bathrooms. read more

Wonderful experience here. I came here last year for my birthday and had a great time. This time I had family visiting, and for some it was their first escape room. Anya (hope I'm spelling that right) was a terrific hostess. We did the Abandoned Mineshaft room and everyone had a total blast! The puzzles were creative and fun, and we were all able to contribute. We finished with 20+ minutes to spare, with I think one hint. Last time I dinged them 1 star only because their prices were quite a bit higher than other rooms in the area. This time, for our group size of 6, the price was in line with other rooms in the area (~$40/person). Would very highly recommend! read more

This was my first time ever doing an escape room and it was a BLAST! The decor, music, and attention to every little detail made the atmosphere so wonderfully immersive. Kenzie was a wonderful host who gave us the perfect amount of hints/help and explained everything well ahead of time so I knew enough of what to expect to feel comfortable, but not too much so it was still a fun challenge! Will definitely return to Sure Lock Escapes again, especially since they're opening a limited-time Christmas themed room for this season. read more

Had the best time in "The Abandoned Mine Shaft"! The decor, design, aesthetics, and ambiance were top notch! Our escape game master, Tehoot, was beyond remarkable and beyond patient with our fun group! She made the whole experience even better! We definitely will be back!!! read more

Had a great time here. Took a group of first timers here and we got out of the guardians grove with 20 minutes to spare. I have done a lot of rooms in the past so was wondering how this place would be with a new set of people and I'd say it's a great place to take someone for their first time if you're looking for that. We had a group of five and the game master was definitely there to nudge us when we needed it. The room itself was a bit too dark for us old people but they brighten the room if you ask. Would definitely come back and try some of their other rooms. read more

I was very impressed that Sure Lock read my review and contacted me. They are very serious about wanting their customers to have a great time and took my feedback seriously. Based on this, I would definitely try them again. read more

I have done many escape rooms with sure locks at every location and they are always in character and so engaging. They are so helpful when youre needing help. The rooms are always well kept and they are always asking for input on everything. Each location has its own location theme and I think that really pulls it all together. read more

Guardians Grove Review (no spoilers) The greatest pro is their dedication to theme. The walls, floor, props, and even boxes are all on theme with the jungle and it helps to add to the experience greatly. Their amenities are standard: lockers for your belongings, plenty of parking, water fountain, even some free candy. The puzzles itself were plentiful and really tested many different logic areas. There was plenty to go around for our large group of 8 but we found ourselves at multiple time crowding around a single puzzle so despite the room being non linear it still felt linear. The service was nice and present but has some room for improvement. The one who checked us in was new so we'll give her the benefit of the doubt but there was multiple issues with payment and a confusing discount system that added to their complex sliding pay scale that changes based on number of players and time of day. Please get that figured out because I had to give my credit card info 4 times! To me the puzzles were pretty easy and most of our time was spent doing busy work to solve it or bumping shoulders in the cramped spaces. Yep for their 'largest escape room in seattle' it still felt tight. I think the maximum for this room is 6. Overall i would say this room was tailored for families or first time escape roomers who want a memorable visual experience. I think it was too pricey for what it offered and I was left wanting more mental stimulation. read more

Sure Lock Escapes - 75 min completion Guardians Grove - Escape Games Near Me - Renton, Washington

I went to Sure Lock with 6 others. 4 of them have never done an escape room before. We did the Pirate escape room. It was challenging and part of the reason may be because half our group has never done it before. Our host was Avery and he was very nice and gave us some hints on how we should go about our adventure but without giving away anything. He was also helpful in giving us hints whenever we needed help. What was also nice about this adventure was that we could ask for hints whenever we needed it. Some places only limit you to a few. Sure the goal is to figure it out yourself, but if I am running out of time and completing the task would be impossible with the little time left then I will take the hints to speed up the process and finish the task. Is it a fail? Yes. But I would rather know the solution to the puzzles and riddles than wondering what was the answer and what were the other tasks that I didn't get to. The people in my group said they enjoyed it. This place is located kind of in a neighborhood older strip mall. But don't let that deter you. read more

I recently visited Sure Lock Escapes for the first time. This was not my first escape room, but I had my mom and dad with who had never done one. We chose the Abandoned Mine based both on previous reviews as well as scheduling. Overall we really enjoyed the experience. The theming was great and you can tell a lot of effort went into it. The one criticism I have is that there were a few too many padlocks for my liking, however the riddles and puzzles required to decipher the codes were wide ranging and creative. We were able to escape (2 mins late). My parents had a lot of trouble figuring out what to do at first which kind of held us back. It was fun and intellectually stimulating. I felt it was a tad pricey, but nonetheless will definitely be back to try their other rooms. read more

I booked Dungeon of Doom escape room for 4 people. I was trying to think of something different to celebrate my husband's birthday and surprise him. We had two people experienced and two with no experience in escape rooms. Our host was Ben and he explained everything and got us started, I happened to choose the longer and hardest escape room. There were so many cool puzzles and things to find, you really become immersed in the room and working as a team. Our host was funny and would give us hints when we would get stuck, he did a great job making our experience fun. This was so much fun, we want to go back and do their other escape rooms. read more

Absolutely fantastic. The host was incredible, the detail, the craft- cannot recommend enough. Seriously so much fun. Already looking forward to the next one. What a fabulous experience! Made the trek to Renton as where we hoped to go, in Seattle, was sold out and they happily recommended Sure Lock. For those of you wondering... IT WAS WORTH THE DRIVE! Great concepts, beautifully immersive, excellent variety of puzzles, super nice staff. Definitely planning to try the other 3 rooms! We were a group of 4 and did the Grove. We are not new to escape rooms but appreciated the variety of difficulty and types of challenges that really suited our group as a whole. Some of us were challenged more than others but we all got to experience some "wins" and together we were unstoppable! Would highly recommend! Thanks SL for a great night! read more

Sure Lock Escapes - Our group in the lobby after completing our room - Escape Games Near Me - Renton, Washington

We had a really great time! The room was challenging, but the hints were clever and fun.

UPDATE: Sure Lock Escapes wants everyone to have a valued experience. Immediately after I left my review stating how disappointed we were with the fact that one of the clues in our escape room was missing (which caused us to fail our mission), Sure Lock Escapes reached out to us and was eager to make things right. Sure Lock Escapes requested more details, agreed that our experience was unfair, and righted the wrong with excellent customer service. If you don't mind rooms that are "lock" abundant, there are a lot of fun experiences that can't be found in other escape rooms. For example, the room we booked had a clever puzzle that could only be solved using negative space. There was also a puzzle that required the use of different sound tones, which was actually one of my favorite puzzles that I had ever solved throughout all the escape rooms we have ever experienced. And the customer service? Some of the best in the business! read more

My family has been here a couple times now and we've loved our experience every time. The rooms are very detailed and fun; it really brings the story to life! I would highly recommend coming here with friends and/ or family. It's such a bonding experience and if you have a competitive family like mine you get to really test your teamwork. It'll be bittersweet when we solve the last room because this location and the team are great. Hopefully they make more rooms cause we can't get enough! read more

I had a great time with my two grandsons! They were so clever. I wasn't. But I loved "trying" to be helpful. The Abandoned Mineshaft escape was intriguing and challenging and I couldn't have been happier about how much enjoyment my grandson's had solving the many puzzles to help us escape. And, a huge thank you to Ruby. She was great! read more

My husband and I decided to do their "family friendly" room (The Magical Menagerie) because it was just going to be the two of us and a regular room usually needs at least 4 people. The holiday theme looked fun, and it did not disappoint. We had a blast and were really impressed with the decor of the entire facility. The puzzles had a lot of variety too, which isn't always the case. We plan to come back with friends to try the other 2 rooms. Jay was our game master and he was awesome. Highly recommend. read more

Great time! Very immersive and fun puzzles. The host did a great job with the scenario

We loved our Christmas Menagerie experience with Jay!! Everyone had a fantastic time! We had lots of joking around and prizes along the way!! For some of us, it was our first successful escape room!! We all enjoyed the escape!! read more

What an absolute fantastic time! Our group of 11 were split up into two groups, we took the shipwreck and the other team the mineshaft. The crypt keepers were great, sorry we violated the 2 finger rule. But the puzzles were challenging, the props and clues were of top notch quality. Especially firing the cannon. We lost to the other team by about 6 minutes, but this was my first room to escape from in the allotted time. Now I have to go back and and do the mineshaft. Absolutely great entertainment for groups like ours, team building, bachelor and bachelorette parties or even on date night. After all you want see how your life partner will react under the pressures of the escape room. Thanks again to the facility and the facilitators for your direction and your passion. Made an experience to remember. read more

Great Ambience and perfect for large groups No spoilers. The staff here are very helpful and committed to the bit! They will go above and beyond to make sure everyone is having a good time. Rooms are decorated amazingly and are full of little details and surprises. Great for large groups, events, birthdays. I would put the overall challenge of these room at moderate for advanced escapees, but will prove challenging for newcomers. read more

First and foremost we have to thank Eddie for being such a great host! We had such an incredible time! This escape room was so beautifully done. The puzzles were so much fun! I had a lot of fun here with my friends a while ago, it was my first escape room, and I really enjoyed it. Staff were really cool :)

This place was excellent! I came here with two friends who love escape rooms and do them in any new city they go to. They loved it too. We did the pirate room. The puzzles were intuitive but took thinking and hints weren't too much. Honestly felt so accomplished afterwards! We got really detailed instructions beforehand and I got a good idea of what to expect. Our room master (not sure that's the title) was excellent! He was so helpful and had genuine enthusiasm for the game and for the place. And he was very careful with hints, making sure we wanted them, and paid close attention to what we were doing. The effort taken to design it so well is obvious. It sounds like they're still adding more to the place to spruce it up, not that it needs it, so I'm looking forward to seeing it when the vision is complete. My first escape room was eight years ago and I was scarred haha, but coming here made me want to do more now. Can't wait to come back and try the other room! read more

TL;DR definitely suggest! We did the shimmer room and had a lot of fun. Friendly staff that was very accommodating with a nice story line for the room and puzzles that tested us but weren't impossible. We will definitely go back! They have two single person bathrooms that were nice and clean and one of them had a changing table in it for those with little ones. We went to do the shimmer room and the entry room is nicely decorated with the entrances to the rooms. If you go towards the back they have some bathrooms and one of them has a changing table. There's a nice waiting area there with some tables, chairs, and some items based on the different escape rooms. The person facilitating our game room was great and took us back towards the front and explained that there was a time limit but there were unlimited hints. They asked about how we felt about hints as they normally will give hints if you get too stuck. We normally like to ask for hints rather having them provided to us which helped set us up for a good time. All the puzzles were pretty straight forward and led to others but all lead up to the final answer. Definitely would suggest doing one of these! read more

Sure Lock Escapes - Hunting for clues! - Escape Games Near Me - Renton, Washington

Last night we went to Sure Lock Escapes for a birthday celebration. I cannot say enough about the quality of the game room that we played. The game Shimmer Reef was able to accommodate our group of 11 (but is able to hold 12). Ruby was our game moderator and she was awesome! She was able to give us clear instructions about how to play and was able to give us clues when needed as we got stuck on some puzzles. The place is clean and well decorated. Our room was very challenging. We were able to escape with 43 seconds left to spare! The game developers do a great job with the details. Check out this place for a fun activity and something different to challenge your problem solving skills! It helps to have a group with variety of skill sets. There are other rooms that would be fun to try. Hope to go back soon! read more

Great staff. Rooms well set up and challenging. 3 generations of us had a great time.
