This place is a hidden gem! I highly recommend this place! Their staff is really friendly and genuine, they were super grateful that we were doing an experience with them and they seemed genuinely surprised that we were there. We did a walk in because we were in the area and we were so glad that they could take us. We tried their Limitless VR and Cook'd Up. We all loved it because it was a really fun version of laser tag, the alternate reality made it all the more fun! I would definitely come back to do their Cook'd Up again, it really got us fired up at each other (I'm a really bad cook and didn't want to listen to my teammates lol).

This still is from a video. Gives you a sense of what the interior of Dimension VR.

This was my first foray into the world of virtual reality gaming. We tried it for a friend's birthday. It reminded me a lot of laser tag...except that instead of real walls to hide behind, there are virtual walls. Instead of real laser tag guns that go "pew pew," there are fake laser tag guns, Instead of real obstacles...you get the picture. Dimension XR is located in a combination office/warehouse space in the outskirts of Southcenter Mall. The "arena" is basically a large empty, open, and cold space. (But, don't worry, you heat up quite a lot during each of the games.) We were there for about an hour and participated in two "experiences." The Dimension XR host gives you a brief orientation and then you strap on the helmet with goggles and headphones and place the hand controller straps around your wrists. The most disorienting thing about the orientation is experiencing the VR for the first time. We all were quite surprised by how easy it was to adapt. I did have an issue with the blurriness of the VR projected from the goggles. It was only later when one of the hosts mentioned a button that I can adjust for the focus. Part of the orientation also included a target practice and positioning yourself in assigned areas of the arena. The first half of our hour was the "Cops vs Robbers" game, which only allows a maximum of 6 players, so two of our party had to watch. But they both reportedly had an amusing time witnessing us fumbling around the wide open space, bumping clumsily into each other. The game is pretty simple. You are randomly assigned to two teams and then...you shoot at each other. When you die, you have to go back to your beacon to respawn. The really disorienting aspect of this experience is that there are two "floors" and a VR "elevator," which means that you have to figure out how to virtually operate it, get in the elevator, and then take it to the next "floor." It is quite easy to lose your bearings when the elevator "moves." From the top floor, you can shoot at the other team who are on the bottom floor. For all the games, you can "die" if you go through a wall or through the railing to "fall" to the bottom floor. At the end of each round, you can see team stats, like accuracy, kill rate, etc. While this game was fun, the second game was much more entertaining. Next was "Limitless VR," a "battle royale" type game, which all 8 of us were able to participate in. We had to go back to the lobby to choose our avatars, which included furries, robots, and humans and watch a short orientation video. Then we return to the arena (thankfully just one floor, but a larger arena than the Cops vs Robbers" game), and it is every furry for themselves! I made the mistake of waiting for players to come to me and ambush them. But it is better and more fun to venture forth in the virtual maze and find players to eliminate. The stats favor the bold! A few more tips: as you are playing, you will get really, really sweaty, especially your hands holding the controllers and the upper part of your face covered by the googles. They told us that the "guns" have a mode that allows for multiple bursts when you pull the trigger, but we did not find that was the case. So, a quick repetitive trigger finger is helpful. Overall, I would recommend Dimension VR as a pretty good introduction to a virtual reality gaming experience. I knocked off one star because the hosts seemed a bit disinterested or distracted. Our orientations were a bit lackluster. But the games were relatively easy to figure out and most of all, a wonderful time was had by all!

This place is a hidden gem! Not much from the outside and when you enter it is a whole experience! The VR play is awesome. The coolest part os the conference area for work functions along with catering options!!! Highly recommend! Fun and great experience!

You should have a little bit of patience when you come because it takes time to get things up and running. I brought my son here for his 10th birthday and he had a great time! I recommend about an hour visit. It's just enough stimulation and not too bad on the pockets. It's $40 for an hour of VR gaming. Then if you want you can do game consuls which are about $30 an hour. And if you wanna blast to the past you can play one of the old nostalgic gaming consuls for about $10 an hour. I think it's a cool place to come for a date if you're into gaming and want to do something different as well. Or maybe just switch up your week routine and come here and play some old school video games and take your mind off of things.

You can actually feel some of the impacts and it's SO fun experiencing virtual reality with friends or family. Something that can't be duplicated yet at home. The games are only 30-40 minutes (about 10 minutes for the tutorials) and I was initially worried it was too short but you'll be moving around for that entire time, either laughing or screaming depending on which game you picked. And when it's over you'll feel like you played through a complete experience. The only thing stopping this from being a five star review for me comes down to the price. They should offer a discount if you come with a group of four or more players or if you want to play more than one game in a row.

When we arrived, we used the kiosks to check in, sign the waiver and input our contact information. This becomes important later in order to receive your post-game video highlights via email & text. After this, a staff member took us to the back and guided us on how to suit up. Each person must wear a vest and a total of four sensors that strap on to each wrist and ankle. We then entered our game room and the employee assisted us with strapping on the headsets which launched us into the virtual world! It's so cool to look around what was previously just an empty room and see your teammates in their animated state. After a quick tutorial, we were handed the weapons we selected and the game began. Without going into too much detail, we were "transported" into a city that has been overrun with zombies, zombified dogs, birds and other monstrous creatures. The game lasted about 30 minutes and took place across three different stages. You are truly immersed in the environment. When the zombies attack, it appears as if they are right in your face and your vest vibrates upon their contact. When you're shooting, keep in mind that accuracy counts! For attire, wear light clothing as you'll be moving the entire time, equivalent to a bit of a workout. The gear itself is pretty lightweight, but the headset is not super comfortable. Understandably, it needs to be strapped on tightly, but it felt like my cheeks were being pulled down and about halfway through, it seemed like the headset was slightly clouding up. Four of us played the Deadwood Valley game and the rest of our group played Unbound Fighting League. For UFL, only two players can play at a time, so you will spend some time sitting on the sidelines. The 30 minutes of gameplay went by quickly and then one of the employees showed us our video highlights on a large screen, which were entertaining to say the least! The videos are immediately sent via email / text as well. This virtual reality experience was super fun and very unique, however it was $60 per person for 30 minutes of a single game. To me, that seems fairly steep. For that price, it would have been nice if they allowed you to play two games (or offered some type of package deal to do that), however I'm sure that's all part of their strategy to get customers to return.

Would be more enjoyable if adults weren't charged entry, not to mention fever charges an additional $5 processing fee per person for booking. The bathroom is so unkept and dirty. You walk through room to room; each with a unique, fun theme, although nothing was exciting enough to keep my kids wanting to stay there long enough to make feeling like the amount we spent was worth it. We went mid week, so the price was cheaper than going on weekends or peak days. I would be disappointed had we spent more than we did, but still a disappointment nonetheless. My biggest issue was how rude an older gentleman staff was to my daughter. I'm aware we were told the rules, but kids are kids and forget sometimes. He could have told me and I could have told my daughter or he could have spoken to her much nicer, but he was straight up rude and disrespectful to her in the way that he spoke. Staff should have no business working at a family oriented space if they don't know how to interact properly with children (and no, my kids are no overly sensitive people). It's merely a matter of respect. This place is definitely a one and done.

As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're about to be walk into a space station. We waited about 10-15 minutes after our scheduled time to actual get into the experience. I really felt like I was in the shoes of an astronaut. We did have difficulty finding the entrance at first, but there was no issue getting through even though we were a bit late for our time slot. There is a quick briefing while you're in line & then you go into a room where you get to hear astronauts talk about their experiences. The VR portion is next and there is another briefing where the person walks you through how to use the VR headset. If you wear glasses, but have the option to do contacts, I would recommend wearing your contact to make it easier to wear the headset. In hindsight, I wish I wouldn't have worn my glasses. My other observation, which the venue doesn't have much control over, is- I was In a group where a woman brought about 5 kids (not all looked like they were the required age for the venue). As a mother, I have nothing against kids, but this particular group of kids were talking very loudly the WHOLE time & it made it difficult to hear some of the audio portions of the headset. Really wish the adult would have asked them to keep it down so as not to ruin the experience for others. Luckily, they were slightly ahead of us, so they exited a few minutes before us. The last part of the experience is in a chair, but with VR headset & then there are some cool photo op areas as you walk out. Overall, would highly recommended, especially if you're a space lover.
