Dimension XR is always a very fun experience. I've been there a few times now and it never…read moredisappoints! The environment: Dim lighting, but lots of fun cooler-toned lights. There are lots of spacious rooms to do the virtual reality in, however you can run into the wall or fall The staff: The employees are always so nice, helpful, and informative. They always help you with the virtual reality gear (two hand things (apparently I'm not cool or trendy enough to actually figure out what the hand controls are called ) and the virtual reality headset). Also, we finished our escape room early and the employee there let us try five minutes of another virtual reality simulation because we hadn't used up our full hour with the other one. I was very impressed by their integrity with that, especially since we just had five minutes left and certainly wouldn't have noticed. Extra details: Half hour activities are $25 per person. One hour activities are $40 per person. They have options like laser tag, active shooter simulations (like shooting zombies and stuff), a few random simulations like cooking, and lots of virtual reality escape rooms. They have a lot of options, and the virtual reality gear is always clean. I've only done the escape rooms and they're actually pretty challenging. You can get hints within the simulation if you need them, and there's a constant timer as to how much time you have left. Final thoughts: It's a little spendy and virtual reality itself is always a little disorienting, but it's a very fun activity and team building exercise to do with friends or family!

We walked in…read morefor a group of 4 adults and 3 kids and they really nice, welcomed us and got us all set up right away. They have many games to choose from so I suggest going to their website prior to visiting to check out which games you are interested in, so you can make the most of your gaming time. $25 for 30 min and $40 for 1 hour, if possible go for the full hour. It is your choice which games you want to play. Escape room type games take much longer and will eat up your time sometimes can take the full hour They have team games, versus shooting games, escape room games etc. Our favorites: Cook'd Up (work as a team, hilarious and lots of laughs, similar to the game overcooked) Plush Rush (work as a team, set up is like you are in the movie Toy Story and it's like a defend your base type of thing) Arrow song (similar type of shooting game but with arrows and a fantasy setting) *They have a hunting animals game and experiences where you can shoot each other too. We can't wait to go back and try the other games. Maybe next time without younger kids so we can try the zombie and "scarier" themed lol! *Wonderful customer service! *I easily get motion sickness but I was good throughout *Ideal for 8 years old and older *Lots of parking space available *They take walk-in's but highly suggest you call incase they are booked for a private event *Sandbox VR in Seattle & Kirkland charged $50-60 for only half the game play time(30 min) Dimension XR it's $40 for a full hour. Much more reasonable price and the reason we will be back.

Disclaimer: our party used a Groupon and even with the Groupon it was around $130. I'm not sure…read morethat this experience, particularly the Ice Walker room was worth the money, even with the Groupon. This review is specifically for the Ice Walker room and in no way reflects the staff. They were nice. When our time started, I think we were able to complete one or two of the puzzles in the first room fairly easily. However there was one puzzle on the wall that when you solve it, a box should open. We completed that puzzle multiple times but the box did not open and we finally had to ask for a hint. The staff confirmed that we had completed the puzzle correctly and manually opened the box for us. They also added back a couple of minutes into our overall time. Where my issue lies is that I see that a month ago, there is a yelp review with the exact same complaint. Why hasn't the issue been fixed if that complaint was made a month ago? Other than the malfunctioning puzzle, our group had to use all three of our hints. Usually when you get a hint you understand where you might've gone wrong or you understand the reasoning behind the puzzle. However for this room in particular, we felt that there were a lot of things that just didn't make sense. The puzzles and the low quality equipment really took the fun out of the experience and we're not sure if we would return. A side note: a couple of people in my party have done two other escape rooms at Flee and they have had fine experiences with those. I believe both of those escape rooms were also five out of five difficulty. It seems that with our experience, combined with the other low reviews specifically for this room, that the Ice Walker room is to be avoided.

Game selected: Deadwood Valley…read more While I'm familiar with the whole concept of virtual reality, I had never tried it out until my first visit to Sandbox VR. When we arrived, we used the kiosks to check in, sign the waiver and input our contact information. This becomes important later in order to receive your post-game video highlights via email & text. After this, a staff member took us to the back and guided us on how to suit up. Each person must wear a vest and a total of four sensors that strap on to each wrist and ankle. We then entered our game room and the employee assisted us with strapping on the headsets which launched us into the virtual world! It's so cool to look around what was previously just an empty room and see your teammates in their animated state. After a quick tutorial, we were handed the weapons we selected and the game began. Without going into too much detail, we were "transported" into a city that has been overrun with zombies, zombified dogs, birds and other monstrous creatures. The game lasted about 30 minutes and took place across three different stages. You are truly immersed in the environment. When the zombies attack, it appears as if they are right in your face and your vest vibrates upon their contact. When you're shooting, keep in mind that accuracy counts! For attire, wear light clothing as you'll be moving the entire time, equivalent to a bit of a workout. The gear itself is pretty lightweight, but the headset is not super comfortable. Understandably, it needs to be strapped on tightly, but it felt like my cheeks were being pulled down and about halfway through, it seemed like the headset was slightly clouding up. Four of us played the Deadwood Valley game and the rest of our group played Unbound Fighting League. For UFL, only two players can play at a time, so you will spend some time sitting on the sidelines. The 30 minutes of gameplay went by quickly and then one of the employees showed us our video highlights on a large screen, which were entertaining to say the least! The videos are immediately sent via email / text as well. This virtual reality experience was super fun and very unique, however it was $60 per person for 30 minutes of a single game. To me, that seems fairly steep. For that price, it would have been nice if they allowed you to play two games (or offered some type of package deal to do that), however I'm sure that's all part of their strategy to get customers to return.

The experience alone was worth it! It was a 40min game and it was a great experience for me as a first time player. Pulled up to a large parking lot/warehouse area within an hour of them opening and was greeted by 3 staff right at the door. They explained the games and programmed the headsets for each of us and we immediately began playing for the next hour and we all had a blast. The staff was very receptive to feedback and gave us extra time when my son's headset stopped working during the race. Pros: great price, very fun, friendly staff. Cons: holding the headset to your face and running around gets heavy and sweaty, more explanation to beat the boss in the boat would be helpful, the track for the race should be in a larger area, and the biggest bummer, they don't track your points so if you don't look at your virtual watch before times out they don't tell you who won out of your group. Again, the staff asked for feedback and took notes, I'm sure by next summer they will have more game options and updates but we really had fun and you can't beat the price: $20 for the game $10 for the race

It's literally an empty warehouse but a smart idea of how to utilize empty spaces in the area. My 5 year old son absolutely loved it. He can't participate in most other AR/VR experiences due to his age so it was great this is something he could too. I also found it super fun and our family had a solid hour of fun. Like others have noted it is a little buggy still, it's all still so new, but ultimately super fun and I heard the founder is the son of the founder of Atari. I heard they are releasing a few more games next month, and we will come back and try the bicycle VR.
