Then Maverick took over and, in a move that still defies logic, scrapped poker entirely. What's left now is a hollowed-out shell--depressing, empty, and visibly run down. It's the kind of place that makes you wonder not just what happened, but how it's still operating at all. The only reason it doesn't get a better review is because I only had lunch at the bar, I did not partake of the rest of the casino offerings. The casino itself was kind of depressing, not busy, no "vibe". I was suffering from a cold so I wanted a bowl of pho. Hey, if you read my reviews, you know that I really don't need an excuse for a bowl of pho, but that's my story. I sat at the bar and the waitress was friendly and quick with the order. The pho itself was quite good, very hot, very tasty. The pour quantity of the wine was ok. Silver Dollar is a nice change of pace from the big casinos like Tulalip and Snoqualmie. It may be small, but it's fun, close to home, the people are great, and there's always plenty of parking. I usually go for the $3 Spanish 21 table- it's always $3 and doesn't go up based on the time of day or day of the week. All of the dealers are super friendly and funny. They have a good selection of beers on tap for a decent price while you're playing. My boyfriend and I weren't there to gamble, we actually drove by and decided to stop in cause we were looking to get into some trouble. This used to be a pretty cool place to hang out. Decent drinks, decent food prices; well, not anymore. Everything on the menu is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive now. This is not a Las Vegas casino, or even in the ranks of any other WA Gold Casino. We used to come here 4-5 nights a week to play pull tabs, have a couple beers and some food. Items on the menu that were once $5.95 are now $7.00! A basic burger costs upwards of $12.00 now. A steak for $23.00!? Get a clue. Management here needs a SERIOUS wake up call. I was sad to hear from the staff that some giant Casino conglomerate has purchased several PNW casinos including this one and are super greedy. What I mean by this, is, we usually go to this one because they guaranteed a free play for members- last time we went, we were told we had to play for at least 2 hours to even be considered. My wife was at a table and I walked to the bartender to get her another glass of wine... the bartender told me I was not ALLOWED to order from her then bring the wine 10 feet away; that I had to order separately from the cocktail server.. seemed a little odd since we had a tab with the bartender. My favorite casino in the area! I live right next to another similar casino that you get treated like crap at.. So I stopped going there and started driving out to silver dollar. The dealers are absolutely amazing. Maybe only 1 that I dont care for ;) they are so fun and easy going and I am always in their laughing. They treat everyone equally wether you go everyday or its your first time. (Unlike other casinos that only care for their regulars). Even if I lose all my money I walk out of there happy because of the way I'm treated. The waitresses are just as nice as the dealers :) The food is always really good especially for the price! Kinda dingy and rough on the edges but the breakfast they served me at 10pm was better than most restaurants that specializes in bacon, eggs and hash browns. Prices for breakfast is great. Cooked to my liking and service was pretty fast. My fountain soda tasted kinda flat but that's probably because I'm a coke drinker when I drink it on occasion. $3 Beers $6 Waffles. This is the spot! Plenty of poker tables for group games if that's your thing. Well paying tables games. Most times we go someone in our group leaves up. And once the dealers get to know you a little better they're really playful and helpful. If gambling is not your thing they have two pool tables out back and since they're main clientel gamble the sticks are actually in really good shape. Decent food, great staff, and cheap beer. This is the place for cheap beer and decent food that wont hurt your wallet. The day shift bartender is awesome and remembers your orders. I like this place and often find myself here for a couple beverages and a bite to eat.
