Highly recommend! It was the perfect place for my son's birthday. I would definitely return there. We loved the arcade games and the fact that they used real money and they weren't expensive to play. It it easy to observe the games going on which is very entertaining. It took a bit for some of his friends to get the hang of driving but the staff member helped out. The kids were talking about it nonstop. They enjoyed the snacks sold there and teasing each other as they competed. I wish I would have thought to bring medals for the winning team! Lol! We had our company outing at Whirlyball. I didn't expect to like it but WOW! It was amazing and fun and I forgot about the world. The food was excellent. We had the BBQ buffet with the juiciest brisket I've every had. The smoked chicken was also excellent. Now about the staff. If there is such thing as a perfect hangout venue for a group of friends, Whirlyball comes very close to fit that description. It has beer, pizza, bumper car, basketball, lacrosse, and arcade games all wrapped up in a single establishment that offers immense fun for reasonable per-person cost. It is always a blast to have a game of whirlyball with your friends, drink beer in between the games, and get back into your bumper car and play the lacrosse/basketball. It is strangely addicting and just fun. And the beer prices are reasonable as well. Booking the court requires a phone call but staff are very friendly and they really work with you to get the right amount of court and time for your group and event. I was skeptical. I said I wouldn't like it and..... I had a an absolutely wonderful time. We laughed so hard some of us nearly peed our pants. The employees were all very helpful, encouraging and all around chill, while also regulating on my friend's whirlyball madness/excitement. Ethan was a great referee and even started cracking jokes with us which we very much appreciated as we are a catty and goofy bunch of people. Will was also very helpful and kind to all of us. Great fun for larger groups. I've been here probably 5 times now. Once for work team building, others with family, and with a local church group. The staff are really incredible. Particularly Will, but basically all of them work hard to create a fun experience for everyone. They MC the games like football announcers, play by play. They also referee to keep things fair. Their food is actually really good. I really enjoyed their pizzas last time, made completely fresh each order (not just reheated from a frozen pizza). The facility has other games to do while waiting in between games if you have more people than can play at the same time. Including air hockey and darts. Encourage your group to come early for the training briefing. Otherwise, it will eat through your play time. Takes about 10-15 minutes. But it's good stuff to know. Whirlyball is really fun! I went with a group a while ago for a friend's birthday and we all had a great time.

We went here for our annual friends meetup, and it was such a fun sport and I definitely would suggest everyone to give it a try. It is a mix of multiple sports combined into one, I would say it was a mix of playing tennis + basketball while driving a bumper car! It was a very unique game and if you have a large group of people it is definitely a must try. Since most of us were new to the game they had areas outside of the arena where you could practice with the ball and targets, before you sit in a bumper car and try it. The place was well maintained and the staff were very friendly, we went in on Christmas Eve and they were very open to accommodate us during their holiday hours. Just one thing is that, we got a 2 hour slot which means we had 8 games each 15 mins. But they stopped us right after 6 and after enquiring, gave us one more (mentioning it was extra). We also took a group picture there but never got our pictures emailed even after being promised to do so. Which is pretty disappointing given we had so much fun there. Tried emailing them twice but no luck. UPDATE: After this review, the owner contacted me to send our pictures and they also promised to give us 30mins extra play time the next time we visit them. Honestly wasn't expecting this to be as much fun as it was! This whirlyball is one of I believe 5 whirlyball areas in the U.S which is pretty neat! I came here for a corporate event and there were tables outside the game area where you could set your belongings as well as some older arcade machines that requires coins to play. Rules were explained and the game starts shortly after. The game is easy to learn and requires no athletic ability. It was surprisingly filled with adrenaline and a great way for corporate team bonding. I appreciated how we had a commentator/referee which made the game feel more legit. We have done business with this establishment 3 times! The last time, I brought a party of 60 people and everyone had a wonderful time! Referees Ethan and Bryan were amazing and the manager, Thomas, was the center of the spotlight for exemplary services. Thomas went above and beyond and was a joy to work with. This is an incredibly fun group activity. Get ready to come for some good laughs and trash talking! I originally emailed to ask questions since I had never been and the crew was really responsive. Once I was ready to book, I called in and the lady who helped me was super helpful and friendly. We booked this for 2hours and had 12 people in our group of friends. Each game was 5v5 so it allowed 2 people to rotate out after every game, which was really nice so that folks could sit out for a quick break. You get shockingly sweaty and hot doing this! All that adrenaline and competitiveness comes out! The staff was really friendly and fun to work with during our session. They definitely added to the great time here. If it's your first time, I'd recommend going a little early so you can practice using the scooper and throwing the ball. Highly recommend this as a fun group activity! When the first office team building night I went to was whirlyball, I was like what on earth is a whirlyball and is this going to require any athletic talent cause I iz fresh out. So, I convinced the husband to go with me and we showed up a little late only to see my officemates driving around in multi-color bumper cars with lacrosse nets. Well let's start with the answer to my question, does it require athletic talent? Not so much. The husband who detests sports suddenly became the star player everyone wanted on their team, I was like wait..is that MY husband? He always made sure to be on the team opposite of me and steal the ball from under my nose whenever he had the chance..or pin my car against the wall..or block my throws..you get the idea. It was, I must admit, much more fun than I was anticipating it being and it did in fact do some team building, tho I'm not so sure about my marriage. I also loved that you had a referee announcing throughout the entire game making it much more exciting. They additionally have a few other table games to keep you occupied if you're waiting for your turn to whirlyball, as well as a properly stocked snack station. A cross between lacrosse, bumper cars, and basketball you steer your own cart and challenge your enemies to a round... or 5! Each round is 12 minutes and in our allotted time we played five games mixing up our teams each time. They have a practice goal in the lobby where you can try your aim before the match. They also serve a large selection of bottled beer and Jones soda. You can bring in outside food and beverage too. The game itself is very fun, but be sure to mix up the group and be wary that it's still a team sport! I got a little competitive because sometimes your bumper cart is sandwiched between a hoard of enemies and you're left remember there's only so much one person can do when it's 5v5. What the heck is whirlyball? It's basically lacrosse meets basketball, on bumper cars. SO MUCH FUN. 9 of us went when we were in the area for a long weekend and had a blast. The group was coed and we just split into two teams of 4 and 5. When we checked in for our reso, there was another group just finishing up so they let us practice on the wall so we got the hang of the racquet. The employee explained how to play, how to score points, what are the penalties (basically don't ram other people, don't break the equipment) and how to steer the cars. The employee is the referree as well. We played for two hours. At the end one of the other employees joined us so we played 5 on 5. I highly recommend. Bring runners. The two times I've gone to Whirlyball was for work related team building. I'm not usually the gaming or sportive type, but after some practice, it was fun. Think bumper cars, lacrosse, and basketball combined hijinks! First time was enjoyable due to its novelty and there was pizza, refreshments, and gag prizes. Second time was to put an appearance for our group, after having lunch at home and before a doctor's appointment. I couldn't actively participate since I was still rehabbing my shoulder after months of PT. It was fun to see folks outside of the work setting though being competitive. But they also showed teamwork and camraderie. Too bad the afternoon of this event was the day it hit nearly 90F (9/28/17, got pretty hot indoors, no AC). One of our QC managers actually made a rare scoring bonanza by hitting the target from the furthest opposite end of the court...impressive! Even astounded the referee scoring all of the games. Great entertaining diversion from the usual day-to-day. Conveniently located off of Hwy 99 past the Shoreline-Edmonds border. read more
