Pretty pricey for such a short amount of Kart time but still had a good time. My kids loved it and had a good time.

My son recently celebrated his 11th birthday at K1 Speed in Redmond with six of his friends. I was honestly a little hesitant to come here because of several bad reviews. However, I'm glad I gave K1 a chance because we all had such a fun and memorable time. I can see how someone can get turned off by interacting with some unfriendly or unpolished employees since I was greeted by one which could have set the tone for our experience but it did not because fortunately, all the other employees there that we interacted with were very helpful, accommodating, and welcoming. Thank you to the guy who talked our kid's through the safety rules, the helpful guy manning the flags on the track, and the one who had cool nails that I admired and complimented. I'm sorry I did not get your names but you all rocked and helped to make our experience brighter. I hope you give this place a chance. Their cars looked updated and safe by appearance and feedback from our kids who had a blast racing. Looking forward to coming back here with my son to give him another go and, perhaps, give it a try myself!

Lol, look how 'exciting' this is.

My karting experience tonight was by far...BOTH the worst and most expensive karting trip. I took my family of 5 for 2 races, costing approx $330 with ($250 for 2 races, $80 for taxes, membership, and headsock) Of the two races, BOTH races were extremely governed. We spent over 50% of time at 10%throttle, approx 25% at half speed. And only about 2-3 mins of each race at full speed. $350 for that?! Aweful aweful aweful. I asked for my money back, but was denied. I have a better experience driving my car in bumper-to-bumper traffic. I WILL BE DISPUTING THESE CHARGES WITH MY CREDIT CARD since I was denied a refund. Here's a video showing how slow the carts operated even without an accident on the track. https://imgur.com/a/vUiRYER

Came here on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy at all. Celebrated my wife's birthday here and it was amazing. Staff were friendly patient with us the whole time. Would definitely come back again

Horrible always slowing down the carts. Never again. Do not recommend. Gas powered over electric powered 7 days a week

Really tight and technical track, karts are fast and I didn't find bumping or passing to be a problem.

I honestly can't recommend this place enough. I was completely blown away…read more From the moment we walked in, the level of professionalism and cleanliness stood out, especially for a kids' arcade and activity center. Everything felt well run and thoughtfully managed. One thing that really impressed me as a parent was the staff member monitoring the entrance and exit. He was incredibly attentive. He recognized us, noticed our child, and was clearly keeping track of who was coming and going. Of course, you should always watch your own kids, but having someone that alert adds a huge layer of peace of mind. We used a Groupon, and if you have ever used one, you know it can sometimes be a hassle, but not here. The process was seamless. A staff member radioed ahead for us, and by the time we got to the snack counter, they already knew what to do. No waiting, no confusion. We were set up immediately and on our way. That level of coordination was impressive. Every game we tried was working perfectly, including VR games, which is rare in most arcades. Even smaller details, like all the basketballs being available at the Papa Shot machines, did not go unnoticed. The kids' drop ride was a huge hit with my daughter, and the claw machines, which guarantee a prize, were a fun bonus, especially as a way to end the visit on a high note. The prize center was also well balanced, with reasonable ticket costs and fun options. They had some great games too, like rhythm games and classics, that made it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The real surprise was the food. We ordered pizza expecting typical arcade food, but it exceeded expectations by a mile. It was soft, fresh, and genuinely delicious, easily better than what you would find at places like Chuck E. Cheese. The entire dining area was spotless, which is almost unheard of in venues like this. Tables were clean. Floors were clean. Everything felt cared for. The service continued to impress throughout. Our food came out quickly, and when we finished, the staff handled all the cleanup. We actually went out of our way to find cash just to leave a tip because the service deserved it. We originally came for the full experience, including batting cages, laser tag, go karts, and mini golf, but honestly, even before doing any of that, I can confidently say this place is incredibly well run. Based on everything we experienced, I have no doubt the rest will be just as great. If you are a parent looking for a fun, safe, and well managed place for your kids that you will actually enjoy too, this is it.

There is a dining option available on site and the food/concessions is good for what it is. The age range of kids we saw is all over the place which is good if you have a mixed age group but also, if you're looking for something for a specific age group, you may be out of luck. This place gives Dave and Buster vibes but has both and indoor and outdoor component. You can earn tickets to redeem for items and I was quite surprised about how big of a venue was here. It was rainy and we stay indoors so I can't really comment on the outdoor components. Overall, I'd come back but it's not my "go-to" for indoor gaming/food activity.

Another parent mentioned it during an Easter egg hunt, and I figured we'd check it out so my kids could compare before deciding where to have their birthday party. We came in this morning, filled out the waiver, and the staff walked us through the pricing and membership options. Then, out of nowhere, they told us not to worry about paying for today (thanks Claire) --just grab the grip socks. That honestly caught me off guard. You don't really see that kind of approach much anymore. It felt like they were confident enough in what they offer to just let the experience speak for itself. My kids had a great time and ended up choosing this as their birthday spot. So while they let us try it out for free today, they probably just locked in a party that'll cost me over $1k. Customer service was great all around. Only small downside--it was a little cold inside.

Very much mixed reviews here…read more Positive: First of all, the place is wildly and almost endlessly entertaining for children of all ages. There are times when my kids drag me here 4-5 times a week, and that's still not enough! The space is clean: very clean, and the staff does a fantastic job of maintaining the cleanliness throughout the day. As for said staff, although young (high school age mostly), they are all incredibly helpful and friendly. The price is unbeatable; it almost seems unfair to the franchisee. It can get pricey if you pay the daily rates, but you can't go wrong with a membership. Just two trips a month and you're ahead. That being said, we do always end up spending at least $50 every time between new socks (you can buy and reuse, however we forget to bring them 9, times out of 10). Then food, ice cream, arcade. But even with those, it's still a bargain. Neutral: The food is, sub-par. It's very limited (chicken tenders, nachos, pizza, pretzels, fries) and everything always tastes.....off. we've had everything multiple times, and it's consistent, so it wasn't a one off. Kind of tastes like they bake their fried foods. Which given the inexperience of the staff, understand. The food is fine for kids, but anyone with a palate over 17 should temper their expectations. There are signs everywhere saying no outside food or drinks, but we seem to be the only ones that respects it. Do with that information what you will. Challenges/opportunities: While the staff is super friendly and helpful, they don't seem to enforce any of the rules. Older kids are running over little kids everywhere, other parents set up shop like they own the place, a whole family even took over the balcony to set up their own private birthday party because they didn't want to pay the birthday party costs, which made it so I couldn't go up and watch my kids from there. I've seen fast food bags from every chain in western Washington in the building. My favorite is when people bring a cooler full of Tupperware filled with food from home. Then there's the other "guests": we spent a good 4 hours there the other day, and I don't think I heard English spoken by a single person, which is fine, but again, do with that information what you will. It's challenging sometimes, though, for my children and any of my children's friends we bring to play here to understand the play style of kids who might be brought up with a different set of values. While understanding and respecting other traditions of cultures is valuable, when they're there, I just want them to play and be kids. Then there's the chairs. Those f****ng massage chairs. They have 4 massage chairs you can pay to use, but other parents are constantly using them as lounge chairs while their kids play, which would be fine if they didn't let out the loudest, most obnoxious, smoke alarm- rivaling beep if you sit in them without paying for it. Not a day has gone by without some absolutely clueless guardian sitting there, either oblivious or ignorant to the fact that they're making everyone else borderline homicidal with that beeping. That beep can be heard from every corner of the building, and it's bad. Really, really bad. Maybe if the employees were empowered, or motivated to ask people not to sit in them without paying? Or better yet, they could put up a gentle sign asking people not to sit in them without using them for their intended use? Although we've already addressed how well the other signs work. Better yet, they put up a sign, as well as ammending all the other signs, translating them into multiple languages, starting with Spanish and Amharic.....

Definitely the best coaster in the park! The day I went I was surprised that the line for it was…read morereally short compared to the Wild Thing steel coaster that is located up front. Probably because it is kind of hidden all the way back in the park. Wooden coasters are designed to be shaky and give that going off the rails feeling. It's sad that this one is a lot smoother than the steel one because those are supposed to be much smoother. Some tips. As with any coaster, the best seats are usually all the way in the back where you can feel the full G forces when you go down drops and sharp turns. For this ride, you are not allowed to ride it without shoes. No, there is no camera that takes your pic for you to purchase. There is a small shack at the exit that wasn't open so I assume that would of been it. There are no storage bins to put your loose articles in like glasses, hats, etc. You can just put on the ground next to the wall and pick it up as soon as you get off the ride. Minimum height requirement is 48 inches. Overall, The price of admission is not worth it for the whole park. Even if you chose to swim the water park part of it, I think it is still overpriced for most of the park is not maintained properly. Refer to my Wild Waves theme park review. I salute you Timber Hawk! You are the only great ride worth mentioning for the ride part of the park. Yelp 2015 Review #45 545 overall
