Probably because it is kind of hidden all the way back in the park. Wooden coasters are designed to be shaky and give that going off the rails feeling. It's sad that this one is a lot smoother than the steel one because those are supposed to be much smoother. Some tips. As with any coaster, the best seats are usually all the way in the back where you can feel the full G forces when you go down drops and sharp turns. For this ride, you are not allowed to ride it without shoes. No, there is no camera that takes your pic for you to purchase. There is a small shack at the exit that wasn't open so I assume that would of been it. There are no storage bins to put your loose articles in like glasses, hats, etc. You can just put on the ground next to the wall and pick it up as soon as you get off the ride. Minimum height requirement is 48 inches. Overall, The price of admission is not worth it for the whole park. Even if you chose to swim the water park part of it, I think it is still overpriced for most of the park is not maintained properly. Refer to my Wild Waves theme park review. I salute you Timber Hawk! You are the only great ride worth mentioning for the ride part of the park. Yelp 2015 Review #45 545 overall

WILD WAVES CLOSES FOREVER ON 11/1/2026!!!…read more This is the parks 50th season as well as their last season ever as they are closing to make way for a warehouse............. The park is what it is and what that is a positive experience for the community it's a place generations have gathered to enjoy a beautiful day outside riding roller coasters and sliding on water slides it's a fun place to spend a day or the season it's a place that will be missed by all those who have passed through its gates! I've been here a few times over the years and every time has been a fun one I don't even live in this state and I've came here over the years because they have some fun roller coasters and slides like with that how can you go wrong! With that said I hope the community comes together to try to save the park because it truly is a Washington landmark! Overall I've had nothing but good times here and I hope to have one more before the end of the season!

Was once great, but it appears they aren't keeping up with the park since it's closing soon…read more Just recently went one last time before it closes for some childhood nostalgia and was pretty disappointed. There are very limited hours, the coasters don't open until an hour after the park opens (??), and when they are open, the lines are horrendous. I'm not sure if they ever had 2 trains going on the rides but we stood in line for an hour to get on the Timber hawk... that is Disneyland level wait times for a quarter of the amount of people. It was expensive! The tickets are $70 for a day, which is about 7 hours, but the coasters are only open from 12-5:30. I will say the chicken basket had a lot of chicken but it was also $25. The waters were nearly $7, and alcoholic beverages were almost $20 a drink. The elephant ear was $18. There was trash around all the rides that looked like it had been there for more than one day, and no one enforcing any rules. Fences were broken and leaning, rides were shutdown. I understand that they are closing this year but it's a shame that they are going out and seemingly just giving up on the last season. Would've been a great opportunity to make some great memories for Washington residents and leave on a high note.

I paid for my ticket at a nearby ticket booth. There was a short line at the door, a short pre-show presentation in a separate room and then I was seated and strapped into a seat in a relatively small four row (?) theater. At first, I was concerned that I couldn't see the full screen from my seat. Then my seat lifted as the experience began for a breathtaking view. I was flying behind an eagle over many of the various natural highlights of Washington with a couple of scary and fun close encounters with other flying objects. I also experienced the mist of a waterfall and the smell of a field of flowers. It was a great experience!

The…read moreonly "Wild" thing about this ride is just how shaky it is based on how wildly you are thrown about even though you are securely held down by an overhead shoulder steel bar. Good thing that this ride is short (I would say about a minute total from beginning to end) that whatever headache that you experience should be minimum. In fact, since the ride time is so short they give you the option of going another round when you get back into the station! You have a first drop that transitions into a loop and then a sharp turn into a couple of corkscrews, then you're done. Why this ride has longer lines than the wooden coaster Timber Hawk is beyond me. Maybe its because Timber Hawk is at the back of the park and this one is at the front and probably has easy access. Minimum height requirement is 48 inches. In closing, this ride is only gonna get worse over time. Maintaining it will not make it any smoother. If you guys are not gonna tear it down, at least add more coasters that are worth the admission you guys are charging for. Yelp 2015 Review #46 "Tone Loc does not approve of this ride" 546 overall

Over the years the technology they use doesn't seem to be keeping up, where things will glitch causing lots of time and effort to get the tickets earned reflected on your card. Luckily we took a picture of the ticket rings that were won at the claw machine prior to adding them onto the card, but even after that, it was still a big hassle where management seemed suspicious that we were trying to dupe them out of tickets that were earned properly. What was surprising is that they didn't even bring the staff member over that scanned the ticket rings initially to confirm she had added the tickets. After adjusting the tickets, my card account was still active on the board, so I went back and checked to make sure it was closed out properly to avoid any further ticket issues. I asked the original staff member if she remembers adding my tickets, and she said she did but we should be good now as this was a system glitch. I accepted the explanation and took that as issue closure. Later when we went to pick prizes, another "lead" employee approached me (wish I would've taken her name), and immediately accused me of being rude and aggressive towards the staff member that added my original tickets. As a lead, I would have expected her to ask me if there was any issues with the employee, instead of outright accusing the customer. I asked her to clarify what was taken as rude or threatening, as I never raised my voice or said anything out of line even though this issue took some time to resolve. She wouldn't give me any specifics but just warned me to not be rude. Instead of getting into any further back and forth with her, I decided to just pick a few prizes and leave. I found it very unprofessional for the lead to approach me in that manner, while the Manager Tabitha didn't step in, even being close by. If something was said that was perceived as rude, let's bring everyone together and hash it out. I can guarantee *God as my witness* that I never said anything offensive, threatening, or rude to any of the staff members. All I did was provide details and proof that there was a system glitch and the tickets that had previously been added were not on the card. At no point did I ever blame or fault anyone at FFC for this issue. Rich Yee, if you'd like to discuss this matter with me directly please reach out.

I rode this once. ONCE…read more Never again will I ride it. Maybe a long time from now if I am really bored and forgot how crappy it was. I see this ride at all the fairs. Why people would ride it is a mystery to me. Let me explain. It does one thing and one thing only. Goes in a loop. To me there is nothing appealing about it. Yes, people say don't knock it til you try it. Well, it was as crappy as assumed. I don't know if its just this particular ride in comparison to the same rides in other parks but this one makes a really loud moaning noise as soon as it starts. Like a poor tortured soul is getting run over repeatedly. Originally I was gonna give it 2 stars for I have been on even worse rides. The main thing that annoyed me was that the big space that is in front of the ride was designated as a smokers area. Great, not only do I have the potential of throwing up, but I also have the increased chances of getting lung cancer. What a bad decision to do that. Is it because the ride is so bad that you are trying to give it the illusion that there really is fire because of all the smoke in front of it coming from the smokers? SMH. So now you have been informed. Might as well smoke one while you are on the ride. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if the ride operator smokes while operating it.
