The first line to start the tour.

Let's start with this wasn't an event I planned. I normally don't think dangling from a cable 80' in the air is a good idea. However, it was a dear friend's birthday request to go zip lining, so I paid my dues and stepped up to the harness. We were in a group of eight (max size) and I'm glad that's the max. There's only so much room on those platforms! While there were a couple seasoned pros, there was also a few like myself. The guides were fantastic. Shout out to Tanner and Laura. They would be part orangutan, only on that they swung around the trees with complete ease and helped me feel more comfortable. They cracked jokes, told us little nuggets of information, and kept us secure and moving along. After 6.5 zips (it makes sense when you do the course), the bridges were the hardest part. They each knew every line so well they gave tips for dismount and tricks to try if you felt so inclined, and also gave me the assurance of 'it only takes about xx seconds to cross this one" when I was scared. Kudos. I did it and don't think I hated it. That says a lot. Definitely a good option if you are looking for something different to do or some place to take an out-of-towner. While I wouldn't recommend this for kids, teenagers may enjoy it.

I am a regular climber somewhere around V5 and 5.10, and I found the rope course very engaging. Pro tip: I booked my session using GetOutPass, where I get access to multiple local venues similar to GoCity. Use coupon code: sale1 for an extra $5 discount on top of existing promotions, if you end up getting the pass to explore more of Seattle.

They have a laser tag area, rock climbing and even gem stone mining for the littles. But the main reason everyone comes here is the elevated obstacle course in air. Everyone starts out with about 30 minutes of instruction on how to navigate the course safely. This mainly due to the fact that you have two tethers and only one can be up clipped at a time. Once you are up in the obstacle course you will find green(easy), blue(intermediate) and black(oh heck no). The option for you to personalize your adventure is always in your control. The staff watches very attentively over their guests. I did see them in action a couple times sprint out to check on a potential issue, that did not materialize, but they were there. The coming down from the upper levels is the best part, zip lines. There are multiple zip lines and multiple places to exit the course. This is a fun places for the kids and adults to play and experience. The pricing was very reasonable for the time we had on the course.

This is the best and pretty much the only gym in the area to train at if you are looking for a ninja warrior type experience. The place is small and in its infancy, but they have large aspirations and are adding new obstacles weekly. David (the person who runs the gym) is great and has been building obstacles upon request for ninjas preparing for the upcoming American Ninja competition in a couple weeks. They have the essentials here. A warped wall, a salmon ladder and a lot of hanging grips to work on. I also bring my son here during kids classes and he has a blast. The adult open gym is affordable and what I normally go to. The kids classes are pricey IMO though and you have to commit to a tuition with an initial fee. They follow the same model as the attached gymnastics gym (which owns Sumner Ninja). A drop in kids rate would be nice. Looking forward to training here a lot more!!!

He gave us tips on how to succeed on the obstacles and encouraged us to try everything. The gym itself had all the remnants of American Ninja Warrior (scaled down of course). We booked it for 90 minutes, but David let us stay over a few minutes to flip the tire and try a few more obstacles. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an awesome group activity or if you're a fan of the show. If you're booking a party, I would recommend keeping the group small (maybe no more than 15) so everybody has a chance to do the obstacles multiple times. With the ten of us, we never felt like we were waiting around too much and got adequate rush between each obstacle.
