THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU MICK!…read more My husband and I only ever saw one venue because as soon as we saw Hidden Meadows we knew it was everything we had talked about. Our ceremony was in November so we had an indoor ceremony in the chapel area and loved the reception area. We had such a beautiful ceremony! The bridal suite was perfect and had plenty of room for everyone to get dressed in one area and have hair/makeup done in the other. The grooms room was far enough away to make sure no one peaked until it was time. We also had such beautiful grounds to take pictures in. It was too cold and rainy for an outdoor gazebo ceremony. But the pictures we took there are going to be magical. We didn't really have to do too too much to the venue itself for decorating because there is so much natural charm and beauty to the venue. I also have to mention the exclusive catering company, Wooden Spoon. I was nervous to have them as our only option but we had the most delicious meal and received sooo many compliments. Tyler was able to work within our budget and not make it feel like we compromised at all. They also have an awesome rental room with so many decor pieces that we didn't have to worry about bringing with us or taking out of the space. I know I'm biased but it was the best wedding I've been too!

I was a guest at a wedding held earlier this month at Hidden Meadows. According to the website,…read moreHidden Meadows has been owned by the same family for five generations. It used to be a working dairy farm too, before it was a sod farm. Cool! Hidden Meadows isn't too hard to get to from the Seattle metro area, but you definitely need a car as it's in a rural/farming area. We passed some apple farms on the way which made me want to stop and pick apples. Alas, no time. The parking lot was right in front of the building's entrance. Even though you can have weddings outdoors, the ceremony was held inside as it had poured earlier. It's nice to have that option in case the weather doesn't cooperate. It wasn't too clear where the bathrooms were. I probably could've found them eventually, but I asked a person familiar with the place to point me in the right direction. They're on the other side of the chapel, away from the reception area. The reception was held on a covered patio which was next to an uncovered patio. There was a fire pit and also eye-catching views of the countryside. Apparently you can see mountains off in the distance but it was still a little hazy from the earlier rain shower. Speaking as a cold-averse southerner, a few more heat lamps in the reception area would have been great but I was happy to see two. The banquet hall was right next to the patios. It wasn't heated but was more enclosed. It held the wedding of nearly 200 people comfortably, with a open area in the middle for speeches, dancing, games, and other merriment. Dinner was served buffet-style on the covered patio. I had a lovely time. Glad I was able to attend a Hidden Meadows wedding!

We were sad that we found out about this space because somebody he knew had passed away, but... now we know that Maltby has a community center/club. I haven't organized any events here, but it seemed like a good space for a memorial service (and is probably good for many other kinds of events). We did end up having to park someone in because this event was very big, but I think they have enough parking for most events that are held here. The main room is pretty big and open, and the building has plenty of windows that people can open. They also have a stage, at least one storage room, and probably other spaces that I haven't seen. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood so it was a pretty quiet event, but we did get interrupted by a couple of loud motorcycles driving by. I'm guessing that was pretty unusual. I'm not sure if this would be a great space for a "loud party" type of event, so I guess that's something to ask the people who manage the space (if you're organizing something like that). I'll probably never have a need to rent this space or find myself attending one of the dance classes that I believe they host here, but I'm happy to know it exists (and hope this review will be helpful to people who are looking for event spaces in the area).

I called him earlier in the week to see if I could schedule a viewing at which time I disclosed my date. He advised me that due to the venue being entirely volenteer run the only time they show it is Thursdays at 7:30 pm. He was kind of short and standoff ish on the phone but I chalked it up to him being tired and scheduled the viewing. When I arrived not only was I not greeted upon entry he didn't even remember who I was and frankly why I was there. I had to remind him of the phone conversation we had less then 2 days ago. After looking around a bit more I started to talk to him about deposit and when I should put my name on the list for my date. He stated that usually they don't fill up until 2 to 3 months prior. Then he asks me for my data again, if your counting this is time number 4, I advise him 11/4/17 to which he replies without any remorse, is that the first Saturday of November... yes it is... sorry it's booked up by bluegrass I wish I would have known your date before. Thank you Scott for saving me the trouble of working with a bumbling idiot like yourself. I hope any brides looking at this venue reconsider. This would be a disaster waiting to happen I doubt he'd even remember the date you chose and end up double book your date!

When our venue was shut down 14 days before our big day we felt absolutely helpless - we had no idea where to even begin to find a venue, cater, day-of coordinator and not to mention re-plan all the logistics, etc... I had a wonderful experience working with Stephanie when I was in my cousin's wedding party last September, and so we reached out to her for advise. She immediately jumped into action while on a drive home from a hike with her family and had three venues all with in house catering available on our date and standing by for us to visit for a tour. Stephanie was already booked with TWO weddings our weekend, but still stepped in with a big smile on her face ready to save the day. Within 48 hours Stephanie helped us get from feeling defeated to excited and confident that our day was going to be better than we could have ever imagined. I like to think of myself as a pretty organized, type A personality and always said "I see the value of a day-of coordinator, but planning my wedding will be fun! I don't need to hire someone to do it for me!" What I didn't realize until working with Stephanie was that with the right wedding planner, it actually becomes MORE fun! She was able to work right along side me and helped me flesh out my vision and made suggestions that made my ideas come to life. Not to mention that because Stephanie has relationships with so many wonderful vendors, she was able to linked us up with those that were able to be respectful of our budget and helped us SAVE money! I am now a totally converted and am the biggest advocate for hiring a wedding planner (specifically Stephanie) :). Day of Stephanie and Jen were both SO wonderful - they worked hard to make our day stress-free and fun! As well as all of her incredible vendor contacts that all jumped in and helped execute the new plan flawlessly. That day we were able to completely forget about the major change in plans that happened just 14 days prior and were able to live in the moment with all our guests! I have attached a picture of the selfie Stephanie took of me, my husband and my cousin who's wedding she planned and coordinated in September. She is the perfect combination of professional and making you feel like family and we feel incredibly lucky to have had her on our team those two weeks. Stephanie, we are forever grateful for the memories that were made because of your hard work and dedication.

I sincerely wanted to explore every inch of the property and take a million pictures, but unfortunately, I was Non weightbearing on crutches and really couldn't! I appreciated that the bathrooms had a good grab bar and felt safe. If I get lucky enough to attend another event there, I would not sit by the speaker in the dining area because it was extremely loud and it was hard to hear the people at my table, will leave that table for the younger generation! lol. The food from the Cabbage Patch in Snohomish was outstanding. The beef tenderloin and the spinach salad with homemade raspberry vinegarette was delicious. I'm telling you I have been to many venues in my lifetime, and this one might be my all time favorite. Kudos to the family run business!

The aesthetic leans towards modern country-tiki chic, which was great for photographs! The only downside was that since there were not many paved areas, my heels were ruined by the end of the night between the grass, gravel, and gaping floor boards on the dance floor. This space is definitely more wedges or flats friendly, which you may want to warn your guests about ahead of time.

Save yourself the headache, don't rent this rundown building with half-ass and dishonest contacts…read more I hosted a surprise birthday party here for my dad. I picked this place because of its affordability and its proximity to my sister's house (I figured day-of setup would go more smoothly if we the back-and-forth trips weren't very far). Our party was great, but I will not recommend this place to anyone. The office is open for a grand total of 8hours/week (9-11am M-F) which means walking through for a preview is very difficult to schedule. Additionally, the office manager, Tanya, was not at all interested in showing us around when my sister and I stopped by to check it out. The day of the party, we did receive a formal walk-through with all the rules. Here's what we had to work with: (1) there was garbage floating in the pond - Tanya was aware of it but didn't explain why it wasn't cleaned out and assured us that we would be charged if any more garbage was found in the pond. (2) chairs in the entryway are FILTHY. We hid them upstairs out-of-sight (3) bullet-hole in the front window? Classy. (4) outside outlets and some inside outlets didn't work. Maintenance was unaware and did not offer a solution. (5) Men's room urinal only flushes when it feels like it (6) front door is broken (7) the air vents are totally covered with black dust/cobwebs/other growing things. Hopefully none of the guests looked up. (8) a gazillion chairs are available but they're a mishmash of unmatched folding chairs. But we are awesome party-throwers, so we decided the show will go on and we had a great evening. We cleaned like crazy and left that place in better shape than when we arrived. So how disappointing to receive an invoice that charged cleaning fees that were nothing less than dishonest. For example, we were charged for food stains upstairs - funny, since we served food downstairs and no guests were upstairs; that's where we stored extra tables/chairs. Also, she said the kitchen counters and range were not clean; I don't know what to say except YES THEY WERE. She wanted us to vacuum the carpeted entryway, which also wasn't used because the front door was broken, and it's not like there's a vacuum in the facility anyway. I contacted the office with my concerns over the invoice and received no response. Clearly this place needs a lot of repairs and overcharging renters is one way to pay for that.

The parking lot for pickers is just north of the address on Yelp but they had plenty of signs that made it easy to find. You have to go down a gravel road to get there so keep that in mind if you don't want your car getting dirty. They had quite a few rows of strawberries for picking, and had 4 different varieties available. We also saw some apple trees where the apples were growing for picking in the fall and some peach trees. They also have veggies to pick but we didn't walk that far back. A lot of the strawberry plants had been pretty picked over but still had plenty of fruit if you pulled up the leaves and looked. We ended up picking about 3 lbs of fruit to take home. The fields are super dusty so make sure to wear sneakers you don't care about because they will get covered in dirt. We enjoyed a relaxing time picking berries and enjoying the beautiful views. The scent hit us--warm, sweet, and sun-soaked and in that instant, we knew we were exactly where we were meant to be. No one can convince me there's a better smell on this planet than fresh strawberries in the summer breeze. Not rain, not bread, not even raspberries--though those came in close second. Bailey's Farm is a dream. My mom and I spent the afternoon picking strawberries and raspberries together, surrounded by blooming fields and buzzing bees. The strawberries were bright red, perfectly ripe, and so fragrant it felt like walking through a natural perfume. That smell alone could heal your entire nervous system. The raspberries were generous and delicious too, but it was the strawberries that made time stop. We picked slowly, laughed often, and let the wind guide us from row to row. It wasn't just a farm--it was a pause button in the middle of our road trip, and a memory I'll hold close forever. The only thing that could use improvement is the parking lot. The entrance and exit are one-way, but it's not clearly marked. It's a small detail, but clearer signage would make arrival smoother. Still, nothing compares to stepping out of the car and into that scent. Bailey's Farm gives you more than berries--it gives you a reason to breathe deeper. And I already can't wait to go back.
