Beautiful venue but the management is less than 1 star. Our grandson rented the venue forhis wedding and was upset to find that their staff had been snooping in the bridal and groomsmens suites during the event. They were also wondering around the venue during the wedding and reception in jeans, tshirts, and ballcaps criticizing any and everything they did not like including the set up of tents that they were paid $1,750.00+ dollars for due to the possibility of rain. Highly unprofessional behavior and attire during the event. We would give them zero stars if that was an option. I highly suggest NOT renting this venue. read more

We got married at Pine Creek Nursery 1 year ago and it was absolutely the best. Gwen (Scattered Seeds Farm, and owner of Pine Creek) is so talented with her flower arrangements, she carried out my vision for my bouquet better than I could have imagined. Karlyn was our day of coordinator and also helped us greatly throughout the entire wedding process. Karlyn really cared that we had the best day. The venue is beautiful, you have access to the gardens and lawn for photos and you hardly need decorations with all the natural beauty that surrounds you. We toured five total locations that we knew were in my price range for my daughters wedding. Pine Creek Nursery is not only a gorgeous venue. They offer multiple locations on the property for you to have your ceremony as well as some unique add on items as well as different areas to set everything up for each persons unique ideas. The moment my daughter put her gown on it started storming... Paul, the owner and our day of coordinator Karlyn worked as a team to assure our family and most important my daughter, that they would leave everything to a gametime decision. She had her heart set on getting married out by the pond with the specific wooden background. Paul took the chairs out set them up. Make sure they were covered. There was a moment in time when the rain stopped they were able to get married, although part of the ceremony it did rain! I'm going to tell you if you choose this venue hiring Karlyn, the day of coordinator is worth every penny. She worked seamlessly with the venue and the caterers and all of the other event people that we had dropping off and picking up items. As the parents , they made our experience so much better! We were able to visit with guests and enjoy my daughters wedding instead of worrying about where these flowers go who's putting the pedals down and lighting the candles. Alexa's at that time, the required caterer. Although the food was amazing, and the staff that they sent out did a beautiful job setting up and tearing down dealing with that owner was less than enjoyable. Other than that the wedding experience was fabulous! PCN is such a unique and beautiful property for your wedding. The value of what we got was unmatched definitely check it out. I will shout out to the photographer, Whitney Davis. She also worked seamlessly with the venue as she knows every bit of the property. My daughter and her new husband so their experience with her was absolutely enjoyable and they love their pictures. I hope this helps people in the future and I would definitely recommend a wedding at the time of year when you can utilize the entire grounds for your event. read more

We chose Pine Creek for our wedding September 2023. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, with multiple areas for beautiful photos. We loved the option for having the ceremony/reception in multiple areas. They could arrange for outdoor/indoor options as well, pending the weather. It felt like a close knit family between the owners and list of recommended vendors they often work with. It made planning a wedding from across the country much less stressful! Special thanks to Karlyn who we hired as our day of coordinator for the wedding. She completely took charge of setting up decorations, tables, etc and allowed my sisters/family and I to truly enjoy the morning getting ready together and not having to run around ourselves. She would check in and confirm some details periodically, and execute it flawlessly. I was also able to pace my planning with our meetings/emails leading up to the wedding. Another special shoutout/thanks to Whitney who we hired as our photographer (and has a special partnership with PCN). She did an absolutely incredible job! We loved that she includes a photo session before the wedding so we could get to know her, and her style. Afterwards, we were so excited she would be the one to take our wedding photos! Since she is so familiar with PCN as a venue, we knew we would get the most incredible photos from what was in bloom, navigating the lighting etc. read more

Nice small nursery with friendly staff. They were out of several things when we went by mid-May (during the corona virus pandemic--they are considered an essential business). But the staff was extra helpful and kind. Some social distancing protocols in place. They aren't perfect at it (yet), but they are trying. Pine Creek Nursery is such a beautiful place for a wedding venue. They had a lot of flowers that bloomed for my client's wedding and all the family members that came during the winter were all so pleased at how beautiful everything was! Paul (owner) and Karlyn (event manager) were so friendly and helpful in ensuring my client had the best wedding. They also have round tables, six feet banquet tables and chairs at the venue so that is one less thing to worry about renting when planning your wedding. They have an amazing bridal suite which we were worried about it being too warm for us but they had a fan in there and it wasn't hot at all, it also comes with a fridge. Thank you guys so much for making my client's day perfect, your venue is beautiful and look forward to working with you guys again! read more

My friends planned a wedding with Pine Creek's 6 month pay in full in advance rule and due to Covid-19 they have refused to offer the wedding space and refused a refund. Pine Creek's breach of contract doesn't say good things about their customer relations and ethical standards. Hotels, cruise lines and events of all kinds have refunded their customers in full because they value their customers. I would caution future couples of engaging with Pine Creek. If there are unforeseen events, and Pine Creek renegs on their side of the deal, not only will you lose your venue, you'll lose all your money. Do you feel like gambling with your wedding? Horribly run place. Very dishonest. My fiancé and I were told that a date was available to book our event. We made an appointment. Showed up and wanted to pay for the event date and book it. Upon by a lady named carlyn. We told her we want to pay and sign an agreement. She lied and said she was going to get a contract and came back with the owner who denied us the event date. Because another couple was interested in the date. And they were coming 4 days later to tour. The owner was also not wearing a mask. Very unprofessional. Bottom line. Don't trust these people when they say dates are available for your event. They wasted a lot of our time and all they told us is someone else wants the date. But they haven't given us any money. Or signed a contract. Or even toured the place. So frustrating. There are a lot better venues out there. Avoid this one! read more

I just want to post a rave for Events at Pine Creek Nursery just outside of Monroe. My son and daughter in law had their wedding there on August 25 and it was so wonderful that I had to issue a shout out. First of all the venue itself was just gorgeous! But the people were so nice and really went out of their way to make us feel like our wants and needs were the most important thing to them. The owner, Gwen, did all the bouquets, arrangements, and decorations from flowers specifically grown in their nursery for this wedding. Paul, the other owner (Gwen's husband) was literally working his tail off finishing sealing concrete, creating water features and a ginormous fire pit all summer. Just when we thought the venue couldn't get any more beautiful they open a whole new area! It turned out incredible and I CANNOT sing their praises enough. There is a kitchen for the caterer, an indoor building for food, multiple REAL bathrooms, a bridal suite, and super scenic locations for beautiful pictures. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner there on the Thursday evening before the Saturday wedding for a small charge, using their tables and tablecloths, so that was super convenient as well. No leaving the rehearsal and trekking to another location. Anyway, I guess I'm still a little excited because it was a wonderful, joyous wedding and I want to tell everybody that if they are scouting for a location that has it all, please check out Pine Creek Nursery! read more

This is an awesome adventure for a couple/someone wanting to get out of the city and spend time thoughtfully looking for plants as meander through the venue. We found our visit to be a bit of a daycation as well as a great source of quality plants with a very knowledgeable staff. Staff wore masks while working with customers and took the time to answer questions, and at times there was a wait. The venue alone is reason enough for a visit. Will go back again. read more

This venue is a disgrace. During a pandemic they have no regard for their brides or wedding parties. If this isn't a hard enough time for everyone, they have refused to give refunds and are asking for more money to reschedule to next summer. There's no way that is even legal. My sister had a wedding here and it was amazing until Lisa started walking around monitoring everyone. (No one was doing anything she did cut someone off from drinking but realized he wasn't drunk and allowed him to drink again) it was almost comical to see her waking around trying to find something but unnecessary and her constant questions to my sister (the bride) really put a downer on her special day. Like others have mentioned, we were planning our wedding for 2020, but COVID hit and the venue was VERY unapologetic and unempathetic. We were not given or offered a refund of any sort. We were only given the option to move the wedding date, which we did because COVID continued to impact our communities and the world at large. Regardless of this "option", we were only allowed to pick specific weekdays or a Sunday. A Friday or a Saturday would force us to pay additional fees, even though we already gave our full deposit over... To be very honest, I don't write reviews very often, but I have gone out of my way to tell EVERYONE I know about this venue for doing what they did to us and not batting an eye at our situation. Because it's not just OUR situation, it's many couples who unfortunately chose to wed in 2020, CLEARLY NOT KNOWING COVID would happen. I understand you need to make money, but we have completely lost thousands of dollars for you to do nothing. We are at the point where we no longer want to have the wedding and will definitely not be doing it at Pine Creek Nursery, as they've left such a bitter taste in our mouths that we cannot support them with any more of our money or business. I cannot speak to how they operate as a nursery, but as a wedding venue, CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE. Literally anywhere else. I am so disappointed and upset by the fact that we gave this venue our time and money, only to end up with NONE of it back. Can you imagine being happy, excited, and in love, only to have COVID hit and while the government is even offering a stimulus check, Pine Creek Nursery is taking over DOUBLE that away from us? That amount of money back could help us get back on our feet after having lost our jobs, but instead, it is pocketed with no cent of empathy given back to us. read more

I CANNOT speak highly enough about this place! We fell into this place after we ran into problems with the first venue we booked, and honestly we are SO THANKFUL that we ended up here. The property is GORGEOUS, the staff is the friendliest staff you will ever communicate with, and we really truly felt like the staff wanted us to have the day of our dreams. Gwen and Paul are the best owners ever, and Karlyn is super helpful when dealing with planning and answering all of our questions. We also chose to go through Scattered Seeds for our flowers, and it took such a weight off of our shoulders knowing that Gwen (one of the owners of the property) was handling our flowers. She was so attentive to detail and messaged me many times wanting to make sure that she got the flowers just right for the vision I was going for. She helped throughout the day making sure the boutonnieres were staying on, making sure our bouquets were not wilting, and she created the most gorgeous arbor for us! I could go on and on about this place and how much we loved it. They have the most beautiful property, and have plenty of rental items to choose from for a very low cost which helped us a ton! Paul helped set up and take down for our wedding, and we didn't feel like a bother to any of them (because trust me, I emailed and called and asked PLENTY of questions!). They were also flexible with special requests and worked with us on accommodating a couple things. This is truly a little hidden gem just outside of Monroe, but it is WORTH. THE. DRIVE. The guests at our wedding were so floored at our beautiful every piece of the property is! If I could get married again and again every year here I totally would. WARNING!!! Do not use Pine Creek for a wedding venue!! I got married here in July 2017 and was excited as the venue is very beautiful. The downside is the staff and lack of professionalism throughout the venue. 1. The Venue coordinator personally insulted me multiple times throughout the planning process, complained about other brides in front of me and my family, bad mouthed my family during the wedding saying "we weren't the type to clean up" after ourselves, left for 3 hours in the middle of my wedding, wore gardening clothes to the ceremony, accosted my mother multiple times to move her car, and yelled at my day of planner and bridesmaid on the day of the wedding to the point of tears. 2. The bartender closed down an hour before our scheduled time and we were charged double the contracted price. The bartender is actually a professional pourer and does not have a license to serve alcohol. They didn't chill our white wine until later in the evening. The venue did refund me for part of the bar cost. 3. The accounting for the venue is done very oddly. They cashed all of our checks weeks to a year after we paid. 4. The event staff wore see-through shirts and complained about the cleanup process. 5. The owner of the venue had nothing to say about any complaint we had, claiming it was all about perspective and they didn't want to be held responsible. 6. We were out of the venue an hour and a half before we thought we had to be and the owners closed the gates on us. 7. The staff walked around and carded people not in line for liquor constantly. Emptied out water bottles and searching for underage patrons. I'm not okay with underage drinking, but the way they went about it lacked professionalism. They were just mean people. 8. The Venue coordinator and owner lectured me on how to communicate with them, meanwhile, the venue coordinator would forget about our meetings we set up and sent me text messages with "Love mom" as the signature. My family is a fun and energetic group. We did not damage anything and were extremely respectful of everything in the contract. I work in the hospitality industry and can't believe what I saw. I have no idea why Pine Creek would not take responsibility for anything but the bar. I would sincerely think twice if you consider having your wedding at this location. You have been warned. read more

Pine Creek Nursery is family owned, and it's the sweetest little nursery ever. The grounds are beautiful. It doesn't look like much driving into the parking lot--just a few little greenhouses and two small buildings. Some of the plants aren't labeled and it can be hard to find what you're looking for, as it is not as well organized as some of the bigger nurseries I frequent. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and bend over backwards to find a what you're looking for or something else like it. I was looking for barrenwort. They didn't have it, but they ordered a few flats just for me and called when it came in. All the plants I have bought there were disease free and healthy. Great selection for such a small nursery! Reasonable prices! High marks for professionalism and great service! read more

My wife and I were married at Pine Creek Nursery in July 2017. Not only was the venue beautiful, but the event stuff was helpful and respectful, and event coordinator was a dream come true. Leading up to our big day, Lisa, the event coordinator, helped us to plan, organize, and make decisions early so that our special day turned out to be stress-free. Additionally, just days before our wedding day, my bride and I decided to add a tree planting ceremony, but we couldn't find the tree we wanted. So, Paul, one of the venues owners, dropped what he was doing to call one of his suppliers to make sure that our tree of choice would be there at the venue on our big day. On the day of our wedding, the event staff was nearly invisible - in the best possible way. They made sure that everything ran smoothly, that the venue remained beautiful, and that all guests were having a great time. Likewise, Lisa made having a wedding feel effortless. Any problem that may have come up, she took care of without question. Our flower girls tore their dresses before the ceremony, and Lisa pinned them back together. The mother of the bride broke her shoe, and Lisa glued it back together. We actually ran out of beer early into the reception, and Lisa volunteered a member of her event stuff to run to a local grocery store to buy additional beer selections to finish out the night. The venue's bartender made the transition from kegs to bottles flawlessly, and very few of the guests noticed the mishap. Pine Creek Nursery proved to be the best, and easiest, choice we made when planning our wedding. We would recommend this venue and its staff for anyone looking for both a naturally beautiful backdrop and a hardworking staff intent on making your wedding day perfect. read more

From the first moment we saw Pine Creek Nursery, we knew it was going to be our perfect venue. As we got to know the location and team better, we felt increasingly lucky to have found this hidden gem - although I suspect it's far from hidden now. Pine Creek offered one delightful surprise after another - the gorgeous scenery including wisps of clouds in the valley and the Cascades above; the rustic greenhouses that offered incredible photo opportunities; the event buildings including a truly stunning atrium and a great stone fireplace room that was going to offer the perfect vibe for a cozy autumn wedding and that's just the half of it! We so appreciated the lovely and communicative staff, and appreciated their willingness to work with our vendor team to create our dream wedding (including some very ambitious flower installations). Two really special aspects of working with Pine Creek were first, the flexibility to decide - even up until the day of - between an indoor and outdoor wedding and second, the giant fire place and fire pit outside which let us end the evening with s'mores (a big hit with the groom and the guests). Exceptional! They have an abundant selection, are locally owned and operated, offer classes, and are in an extensive remodel to create a beautiful wedding venue on site. We came in just to get a feel for what we might need on our new home in Monroe, WA and stumbled into the busy owner. Although he had multiple tasks to accomplish he still took the time to talk to us for about 30min show us around the facility and make us feel welcome even though we were not ready in our landscaping phase to purchase. It has been over a month since my daughter and son in law had their wedding at Pine Creek. I cannot tell you how wonderful of a day this was. When our daughter was much younger she dreamed of someday getting married at the nursery. Since then, it has evolved into much more than a nursery. It is a destination for all to see. Paul and Gwen Sayers have created, in my opinion, the best wedding venue in the Snohomish/Monroe area. It is a magical place that even the photographer would agree. Not only is it beautiful, it has everything you will need. There is a bridal suite that is huge for the bride and her gals to get ready. There is a caterers dream kitchen. An atrium connecting two buildings. Large sliding doors that when open allow for an indoor/outdoor space. And to top things off, Gwen, the foraging florist, created a cutting garden that is not only perfect for pictures, but she grew all the flowers, hops, greenery, antique roses and much more to create the bouquets, corsages and boutineers for the wedding. The boutineers were hops with coriander seed and seeded grass. The owners were on site the entire time to make sure everything was perfect, right down to an indoor wood burning fire as well as a beautiful fire backed up to an amazing water feature outside. There is a large lawn, stained and stamped patio, walkways, gardens....You MUST check this place out. You will not be disappointed! Paul, Gwen and all the staff at Pine Creek Events and Nursery made our daughters dream wedding come true! Thank you! read more

Yes the venue is beautiful, however our issue was the small amount of set up time we had before our event, 1 hour, which we found out was not enough time. In fact we found ourselves scrambling to accomplish set up, as guests were arrived. Overall the lack of time to set up really set the tone for our event, it shouldn't have been so stressful. Just so the reader knows we did ask to have more time to set up, but the answer was no, and we also asked to set up the night before, and we got a no. Why we couldn't set up the night before was a mystery, because there was no other clients before us. We also were reminded over and over again that we had to be cleaned up completely at a certain time, or we would be charged for an extra hour. They also wanted to store their 100 or so stacks of chairs in a corner of the venue barn that we were in, and I told them no, we are not paying for this room so you can store your chairs here. They also wouldn't let us drive between/around the buildings to unload our items from our trucks, so we parked our vehicles and unloaded in front of the gift shop entrance and hauled in items in by hand. The manager then complained that we couldn't park in front of the building, as she was obviously seeing us unloading. So just where did she expect us to park to unload? I felt they we not very accommodating, and there was a bit of harassment in a lot of respects, so I will look elsewhere for my next venue. There was no alcohol served at our party. read more
