They have so many great things for decorating around the yard and pond, and most of it I have not seen anywhere else. Their koi are lovely, and what a selection! We have had our koi pond for over ten years, and have always heard great things about this place, but never got around to going there until last month. So happy we went! Love their selection of pond plants! I couldn't resist when we went there and have been thrilled with how well all of the plants have done since bringing them home! Most of all, they are knowledgeable and helpful! We had a leak in our pond and about a thousand questions. They know their stuff! Amazing selection! This place exceeded my expectations, with the selection of water plants and pond supplies. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. I've kept ponds for over 30 years and I know bad advice when I hear it. These people really know their stuff! Very fun atmosphere too: alpacas; peacocks; and a play ground for the kids. Do NOT miss the gift shop! So many gorgeous, fun things. Website does not do this place justice. Went looking for plants for the edge of my ponds and was blown away by the selection. I bought some pretty water garden hyacinth today. They had pretty flowers on them. He put them in a plastic bag, no water. By the time I got home the flowers were damaged. I don't think I would go back to buy anything. I do like the fish in the ponds. read more

I have driven by your nursery (to call it a nursery does not do it justice) countless times, and always wondered what was back there but never inclined to stop in!! When we needed a chunk of liner and my Mount Vernon store was closed on Sundays and I happened to be in Lake Stevens anyway, I thought why not?? (I HAD heard great things about your koi...) I arrived in mid afternoon on Fathers Day and felt like I had entered an enchanted garden. Felt like I was Alice in Alice in Wonderland. And then the skies opened up with the most torrential waterfall lol but I perservered......Lauren was AMAZING, not only super helpful and knowledgeable, but we had many laughs as well always making for a fun shopping experience. I left with a truck full of awesome, unusual, and well priced aquatic plants and a beautiful koi planter, a stunning dragon to mount on the greenhouse (GBH deterrent perhaps) and believe it or not, the Loch Ness Monster. (a lovely cement piece that is so unique). So to anyone else that has driven by wondering what's back there, don't do what I did. GO IN you won't regret it! Next time I am hitting the labyrinth!! I recently bought a rather expensive yard kinetic eagle that moves in the wind. The first one I bought did not work properly. So I took it back after a few days and they reluctantly gave me a replacement. I had the same problem with the second one with wings getting caught under the tail. They would not give me my money back and basically said tough, it is beyond 30 days. So I advise caution doing business with them as they do not stand by there expensive merchandise and were actually very rude to deal with. read more

We are novice Koi owners and have visited twice now. Both visits, once in early Spring and the other just yesterday, were super positive experiences. My first visit was to check out the location and get some insight as to what was available. I had an opportunity to speak in great length to the owner, Rick, who advised me on basic Koi maintenance. He made sure I had proper water testing kits, an idea of food choices, and to let me know that they offer various on-site consultations/Visits. {Fee based on the type of visit.} The ambiance is sunny - multiple ponds and water features, farm animals, music pouring from outdoor speakers, well maintained plants in varied sizes & species... and a spectacular gift shop with with a dedicated section just for Koi. Yesterday's visit was exciting as we purchased 8 new Koi for our pond. Minnow (am hoping I am spelling her name correctly) was exceptionally helpful. She spends quite a bit of time with the tanks/ponds so she knew which fish to select for us that were matching the color profile we described. She's very much the master with the net! A few of the little guys were FAST! As we made our way to the front for payment, Rick acknowledged us and took a moment away from his "filter project" to speak. Very personable. We will be enlisting Rick's help with a future water feature project and continue to patron this establishment for our fish needs!! read more

We had our wedding here a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely amazing. Working with the owners was a treat, they were very accommodating and took fantastic care of us! They were happy to answer all of our stupid questions and provided great recommendations on those little extra touches to make our wedding memorable. The gardens are beautiful and make for a very special outdoor space to celebrate. We were thrilled with how everything turned out. Definitely a 5+ star wedding venue. The use of the glamping tents on the property gave us a nice retreat to get dressed and relax before our wedding and reception. read more

My family is incredibly disappointed with this company. I'm actually shocked at the way I was treated and I'm still really blown away. We purchased a Christmas tree from them Sunday Dec 4th 2016. We took very good and proper care of the tree as protocol. Set up our tree in water and put it in our living room where there is no direct heat in front of the front window. The next day Monday we noticed the tree looked quite sad, limp and droopy. We thought this was odd, so we only put up the lights and gave it another day thinking maybe it will perk up? The tree by Tuesday looked as if it went through the entire month and was at this point not a a good plan to continue to decorate it so I took photos and called the store we purchased it from. I was perplexed but hopefully to get a return. I left a detailed message and then got a call back. WOW.... Needless to say Rick, or Randy, don't remember then name went off from the get go. First thing he said to me was in 8 years of buisness this has never happened and continue to educate me on what I must have done wrong. I tried to tell him we did everything your supposed to do and he litterally refused to listen to me and said his tree was perfect when it left his lot. I asked him if I bring the tree back with the receipt may I please have my money back. Absolutely not! He told me I could then have any tree on his lot for half price. I really at this point never want to step foot on his lot nor pay for another tree from him or wanted to take the chance of this happening again. This place I warn you is the most grinchiest place EVER! I'm grateful that I was ABLE to buy another tree somewhere else and did so. Not everyone is and that is what gets me the most. The uncaring nature of this entire ordeal! This guy could care less about how this really could have messed up someone's holiday and events! What if I wasn't able to return this or replace it! To be sure I showed EVERY place I went the pictures of the tree purchase from falling Water Gardens and they ALL agreed it was a bad tree. Please BUYER BEWARE! BTW the store is the most ridiculously over priced plastic crud I've ever seen. I shop on amazon and they do as well. read more

This place is awesome! We showed up on a random Sunday knowing the season for plants/koi is winding down as the evenings get cooler and expecting to just look around and decide if it was worth a visit in the spring. However, wandering around the gardens and greenhouse would have been a wonderful afternoon in itself at any time of year. Free-roaming chickens, multiple serene pond setups, gardens, and sculptures made it a fun place to explore. You can feed some giant koi their snacks for a quarter - so neat to get close to those big koi! Our largest fish could probably fit inside their mouths! There were lots of things for sale and outlines of prices to build certain features DYI and professionally. We were checked in on, but we weren't made to feel pressured as we took our time enjoying the fall afternoon. When we were exploring the gift shop, we inquired about backyard koi pond tips as we do any chance we can talk to anyone with years of experience. Rick was fantastic in giving us advice about our pond we started last summer. Our fish have outgrown our homemade filtration system, and we have been weighing the costs/benefits of building a larger, sturdier system for the past few months. Rick outlined how we could do our own passion project and the pitfalls/benefits of going with a more professional-grade commercial filter similar to what they use at Falling Water Gardens. He was very upfront about the costs and the amount of work involved in all of our options and managing our expectations. We were happy to purchase our filtration system with FWG at what I feel was a fair price, especially for a small business and with excellent customer service. We will definitely include Falling Water Gardens in our future fish and plant shopping adventures. What a great local business. It's a full-service garden center and retail nursery. They have two beautiful rock slabs in their water garden out front. The service was EXCELLENT! Went in before the holidays and bought a Christmas tree. It's now mid January and still going strong. They have a cute little shop in the front house so don't miss out! When Falling Water Gardens moved to Monroe I was thrilled. This is my go to place for all things aquatic or, for that matter, anything with quality and artistry. We have purchased several koi from them and many pond components. The free classes and all of the ongoing free advise has truly been a godsend. We can't say enough good things about Ken and Ric. They truly are an inspiration in the support they provide their customers. I've heard that one of their next projects might be creating something with wine bottles.
