Was pleased to visit this meticulously maintained, beautiful nursery in the Snohomish valley. It was our first visit and our intent was to price out a recent quote on some landscape work. - Joe and Jamie both proactively stopped to help us and shared their expertise. They each walked us around the grounds and we appreciated their proactive insight and suggestions. - clean and well maintained, people were leaving with truck loads of purchases! - refreshing to see their prices are more than reasonable! - we didn't make any purchases this time but I understand they deliver and that's exactly what we need for the tress we're looking to purchase. Yup yup yup!! This is an excellent nursery. I'll make this short. Prices are fantastic. Selection is fantastic. Service is fantastic. and its soooo pretty! A quick update: Someone said they are pricey. I buy plants from everywhere, this nursery has truly fantastic prices. Example: I just purchased 2 mini dwarf apples trees from a nursery not too far away, they were $94 each. Mcaulliffes has espaliered (very expensive way to grow trees) pears for $64 each! Espaliered! Blows my mind. That is the deal of the century. read more

The plant displays are very neat and pretty, definitely a step up from a warehouse-type experience. Folks seemed very nice and greeted me proactively. Didn't buy any plants but I did get a bunch of lovely handmade Christmas ornaments that I thought were reasonably priced. read more

Not only I got my steps but I had a relaxing afternoon after walking through the pathways of beautiful plants and trees here in this garden. It has so much to offer. I'm sharing some of them with you. Staff is very helpful and full of knowledge about their plants and trees. Prices? Great in comparison to other gardens I've been to. I am somewhere in the Snohomish area which is a nice little trip from Lynnwood. They deliver too! I highly recommend this place. It is endearing. You must see if you're in the area especially. if there were zero, stars, I would give them zero. Don't buy there. I saved up money so I can buy my mom a flowering dogwood tree for Mother's Day. I picked one out that looked really nice and it was in a big black pot and we paid for it and these two guys that work there took it out of the pot and started chopping at the roots. I gave it to my mom and she was very happy and now the tree is dead even though we watered it and gave it a good dirt. She is sad about it and so am I so don't buy there they killed my mom's Mother's Day present. read more

What a beautiful nursery in the farming area of Snohomish. It is so pretty that they should charge admission just to walk around. A great day to just walk around and admire the beautiful, and bountiful, trees, shrubs, and various plants. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable. Hubby and I went to find some plants for our front yard but found out it was already at the end of the season for what we were looking for. Will have to wait till next year for those. But that is okay, we enjoyed walking and see which plants to add to our garden. Will have a better plan next year...early spring. I was just at McAuliffe's and I LOVE going there so much! The owners and staff are always so friendly and helpful. I usually never know what I'm going for, but always leave with a trunkful of goodies to adorn my home and business with. I always get compliments on my purchases. I especially like going here over any other place that sells plants because of the peaceful atmosphere and culture the owners have set. It's more important to me now than ever to feel at peace. They had all of the precautions for COVID-19 available which made me feel even more safe. Some folks need to see the good around them and give grace when things don't go "their" way. Running a business is not easy, especially these days. read more

Beautiful nursery... poor business practices. I purchased two substantial trees here late Saturday afternoon. The trees together cost over $600. I got the trees home and figured out they were not the right size/shape for the space. Called Sunday morning to confirm their return policy was told that they could be returned with a 20% restocking fee. Wednesday morning I made the long trip back over to the nursery and was told I could only return the $159 tree with the 20% restocking fee. They said the other tree was damaged and would have to go in the burn pile. The tree had a small scar on the trunk from being moved. It was a healthy tree. It had not been neglected, it was watered, it had not been unwrapped and the root ball was in perfect shape. The only option was to take the tree back home or to leave it there and have them burn it. For the two trees I spent over $600 - I got $131 for the return. Poor business practices - with poor communication of their return policy. This is THE TO Go to Nursery. What sets it apart fr other plant nurseries is the customer service! You can certainly call ahead, especially during the Coronavirus crisis, if you want something specific. The staff is very experienced, will let you know what condition best suits the plant. Also will let you know if the plant will come in. In February I was looking for a osmanthus which they didn't have but the young man, Alex? told me that they would come in mid March in 1 or 2gallon sizes. Sure enough I got a beauty. Also picked up some healthy bareroot roses . My husband and I went again today to look for rhodies, the place was very very busy but staff wore mask and maintained SD, thanked us for our patience. Be aware that there is a 20% restocking fee if you buy a tree. We bought a tree here and they told us they would take it out of the pot for us and into a bag. They did not however tell us there was going to be a fat 20% restocking fee. No where on the receipt does it say that either. At the very least, customers should be told there's going to be this charge before buying a tree. I understand the purpose of a restocking fee, but it was literally a day after we bought it. Most nurseries don't even charge restocking fees. We accidentally bought the wrong tree and brought it back only one day and wanted to exchange it for the correct tree they had. When we told them we bought the wrong tree one of the workers told us the two trees don't even look alike (yes the one we wanted is taller, but they're both japanese maple trees with the exact same leaves). The other workers though are nice. The place overall is pretty, but it's just an unfortunate experience of their refund policy that will make me not come back and go to other nurseries that are much more lenient and understanding. read more

Went for one hardy fuchsia, drove away with a truck load. Very well designed and an excellent example of what a great nursery can be. Displays galore! Super selection of small, medium and large size native and nonnative plants accompanied by awesome service. They even play relaxing music throughout. A little out of the way and well worth the journey to Snohomish. Now back at home the work begins, digging holes for the new trees in hard-packed clay and "Marysville spuds" thanks to glacial till. Updating my initial review of McAuliffe's Nursery - 2 years later. Our yard is flourishing with all of the plants we have bought at McAuliffe's Nursery. In fact there are very few plants left from the previous owner of our house as many died or replacements from places like Flower World and other local nursery's never lasted more than a few months before withering to dead plants. As I originally reviewed - McAuliffe's is the only place I shop for plants now. I've learned my lessons and now I feel confident that Jamie and Tiffini are the best resource any home owner can have when seeking professional, friendly and supportive support in building and growing a wonderful garden or planning a landscaping project that will look amazing! Came here on the hunt for a veriegated azara. Truthfully, I wasn't sure what that was, but my friend was a man on a mission, and we stopped in here to see if they had his treasure. This nursery is pretty darn cool. Someone put a lot of thought into the landscaping and layout of the grounds. It gives you a lot of ideas for your own yard. It's very peaceful to just wander around the grounds and enjoy all the happy little trees. Speaking of the trees! Holy wow, there are bunches. Tall trees, short trees, leafy trees, evergreens and more maples than you could shake a stick at. Not that shaking a stick at a tree would accomplish much... in any case, it's gorgeous. Staff was here and there. It was a busy Saturday morning, so they were often assisting others, but stopped in on us a few times to offer assistance, or to, perhaps make sure that we did not get lost in the back lot (they left the gate open and we wandered back there,). They were great assistance in helping us locate an azara (which is a tree for those not in the know) and, though it wasn't of the variegated persuasion, it was still so pretty that my friend scooped it up and took it home. The thing I like best is that this nursery is pretty and functional, with great selection and really knowledgeable staff (shout out to Maria, she really knows her stuff), BUT it's not all hoity-toity like some nurseries have gotten. I felt comfortable there in my jeans and beat-up sneaks, not something I can say about other nurseries that I've visited recently. read more

Horrible customer service. Called ahead of time to make sure they had camellias in stock. Got there. Looked around for 45 minutes trying to find them. Asked for help finding them twice. Saw other customers with them who said they had staff bring them out from the back. Asked customer service again if they could do that for us. They said no. We left. read more

There is always someone there to help answer your questions or help you find what you are looking for. They also have a great selection and beautiful grounds. I just love going. I came here for the first time yesterday for some hanging baskets and it was AMAZING! I have driven by this place countless times going to (the also amazing) Dayville farm store and Bailey's Vegetables but have never stopped in here. I was blown away at the cleanliness and quality of the plants and flowers here and the super unique varieties here that i haven't seen before! I got two hanging baskets, one really cool "hybrid begonia" and one HUGE basket and both at super competitive prices! The grounds here are really well laid out and cute with the different areas labeled. And the customer service! Oh, the customer service! It was amazing! The employees were friendly and happy to help people! An employee noticed i was a little lost and actually acknowledged me and pointed me in the right direction without me even asking. At check out, I watched as a man asked an employee for help. When he told her he was deaf, she SO politely took a step back to maintain distance and pulled her mask down so that he could read her lips while she helped him, then proceeded to take him around the nursery to find what he needed... be still my heart! The employees here are just a wonderful example of how we should all treat each other! ( and all this despite the fact that it was thirty minutes to closing time! She never said anything or came across as in a hurry.) I am so glad to have found this place! And who knew, nestled in-between two of my already favorite businesses, Dayville and Bailey's!
