Their web page is also very polished, which exudes professionalism, quality and sleek style. Most top soil places have lackluster web pages, but not these guys. I drove over at the crack of dawn and gleefully purchased a cubic yard of their illustrious Booster Blend, which was advertised as an 'Ideal blend of compost and dairy manure'. Further described as 'Locally and organic produced from garden prunings, food products, and vegetable trimmings', this sounded like the best thing I could add to my garden to support growing food for my family with the best of the best quality nutrients. It would boost my ego as I would feel great as a responsible and caring human for sourcing a local product that didn't contribute to excessive carbon emissions due to long distance transport, unlike those 'other' soil company conglomerates where you have no idea how far they source their products from. I couldn't wait to bring my load home to show off to my family, friends, neighbour's and random passerbys and flaunt my prized purchase, which would eventually revolutionize my garden to epic levels of nutrient dense and delicious fruits and veggies to eat. I carefully covered my trailer with a tarp to protect my fresh pile of compost and manure for the journey home. Upon returning home after a perilous journey with my tarp flapping in the wind the entire way home, I was ready to get shovelling. However to my surprise, I noticed that this booster blend had an innovative sparkly effect with a rich spectrum of colors that I've never seen before in compost from other soil companies. With closer inspection, that's when I noticed that it was packed with a special unique blend of booster particles consisting of plastic bits, shredded shopping bags, chewing gum, metal and glass shards. While the price was good, the time cost of having to pick out the bits, made this purchase a lasting and memorable experience (and not in a good way). No epic stories of heroism for me. No boosted ego, just a bruised ego.

I misjudged how much dirt a cubic yard was, so I ordered too little. I called the company and expressed my disappointment that the dirt we bought was barely enough to finish even half our projects. My fault, totally. The gentleman I spoke to brought another load! I forgot his name, I'm sorry!! I am SO happy. This dirt is full of compost and will make my veggies very happy. The veggies themselves are super fresh and it's a great variety. We've definitely had more variety when we were in CA since it's bigger farms but we still walked away with chard, Tokyo Bekana, 2 types of lettuce, delicious beets, herbs and more. Super happy to have access to the fresh veggies for the remainder of the season and having it be an interactive family outing and learning for our 2.5yo daughter. Stephanie and Claire are amazing and have such great customer service. Due to the heatwave we brought our fruit from the Redmond market in and in our rush, we forgot it there and by the time we got back, someone took it on accident. Stephanie called all the members with fruit pickups to see who mistakenly took it. To our surprise they found the person the day later and we're getting our fruit! (Was super sad since I couldn't find cherries and stone fruit of the same caliber at PCC yesterday).

Their prices were significantly lower than the competition. So low, in fact, after the first quote, I asked the lady on the phone to run the numbers again just to make sure it was correct. I was able to buy 14 additional yards of gravel than I could have bought if I had gone with the other guys. They delivered on time and without any issues. Their drivers were courteous and professional, and very patient delivering to a bunch of amateurs wielding rakes and shovels. I bought $600 worth of garden soil and compost that is nothing but a disaster of sticks, rocks, plastic garbage, and is the deadest, driest soil imaginable. I see my container plants that are in regular bagged soil flourishing while the plants in the four raised beds I broke my back on filling with this garbage just stagnating. I called him mid job, saying I was new to the area and is it normal for the soil to look like this and he assured me it was. I emailed him afterwards and got a "sorry you don't like it." They should be ashamed of themselves, selling this stuff. There are other online reviews I missed that would have helped me avoid this -- I'm hoping my review here helps someone else.
