It was great to hear that they had personal experience with using the products in stock. I have had great success repotting! Their indoor gardening area is a huge greenhouse and there are different plants being offered for sale every time I've visited. I had my eye on a plant and was on the fence about buying...and the next time I visited they were all sold out! They do restock, but this nursery is popular so if you're undecided just buy the plant :) They have a small cafe area which I haven't tried yet, but looks fairly popular with people bringing their dogs to hang out too. There are quite a lot of events and classes related to gardening on their website. One that I'll probably be going to is the rotating tool sharpening by Northwest Sharpening Services - quite cheap at $4 per tool.

Went to the help desk, asked about specific plants. The staff person just pointed and said, "go in there" to the greenhouse. Went there, was told, we just sell houseplants in here, go outside through the automatic doors". Went outside, no one, not one person out there. We walked around for a bit, still no one. Gave up and decided we could find help online and at another nursery. The coffee shop. Great idea, poorly managed. Saw some senior group had taken all but two tables and a couple of chairs for their get together. I found two chairs against the wall for my mom and I, but no tables. Made our order, sandwich and egg bites- they are brought in prepackaged from an outside company. I had to walk back and forth from my chair to the coffee counter to check on our drinks and warmed up sandwiches. After 20 minutes, have one drink and cold sandwiches. Had to go back since they forgot a drink. We ate a few bites of our sandwiches- threw away the rest. No more interest in getting the order right. Also saw one of the staff people counting out cash onto the counter next to the coffee machine. Cash and coin I believe should not be placed on counter space next to food or drink prep?

I ordered lavender rosemary latte but my coffee came as plain latte. The tall girl with short colorful hair is weird as if she has something against you! The food was even worse. My salad was full of wilted vegetables, and the bacon and potatoes were cold, hard, and clearly cooked hours ago. To top it off, the plates have deep grooves that make it impossible to eat--ketchup and egg yolks get stuck in the grooves. I genuinely worried about the material's safety. If you want to help people, start by serving fresh, safe food. I wouldn't be surprised if that salad was a health hazard. I just wasted over $30 for a very low quality food. Also, all the great looking food in the photos on yelp, on not served any longer.

Truly an incredible spot for families with little ones, but also just enchanting for anyone who loves plants, decor, or cozy vibes. The plant selection is massive, the seasonal decor is stunning, and the gift shop?? Dangerous. I wanted one of everything. On top of all that, they have a café on site with drinks and food, which makes it way too easy to linger longer than planned (no regrets). Swanson's is one of those rare places that feels like a destination, not just a store. An absolute gem & I'm obsessed.

When I was interested in certain plants he asked the location and area and made recommendations against some of them because they would likely die. Last year we bought about 15 perennials which the sales lady assured us were natives. Well they might have been natives of the Pacific Northwest but as I discovered when I looked them up in the King County Native Plant List, they were not native to here. I've gardened for over 65 years. I know how to care for and plant nursery plants and I was very careful with these because the plants were expensive. Of the fifteen, only a handful survived the winter. Of course we had a record breaking cold in the winter of 2023-2024 but the cold didn't kill my other plants which I know are native. So take your time. Check out each plants before purchasing it and thank you and god bless for planting native plants on your property.
