The hotel is pretty good, the rooms are equipped with smart TVs where you can stream Netflix from your own account, has a desk for you to get work done and has a hotel restaurant. The restaurant is closed for lunch but they do have breakfast, happy hour, and dinner. They also had an indoor pool and hot tub as well as a gym.

I really appreciate how intentional this arboretum felt, it's easy to tell how the community and volunteers are intentional about its upkeep and serenity. This year, their summer art events are "Art of the Garden" at the main gallery and "Cambium Layers II" at the mezzanine gallery. They have events throughout the year, rotating in special exhibits, classes, summer camps, and more. I chatted with the staff working there, and they are always very personable. While the Fresh Paint art festival is relatively modest with the length of two city blocks, the exhibit inside the center makes the drive worthwhile. If I was more of an art creator, I would definitely look into their classes. They have an impressive array from ceramics and clay to digital to glass, and classics like painting, sculpture, and woodcarving. The facility looks new and is very clean. I would recommend them both to shop for art (at front gift shop or during an exhibit period) and for their classes.

The indoor area has a nice large bar and a big kitchen as well. The building itself is old but has seemed to be kept up nicely. The conference room was kind of smelly, but it could have just been the left over odor from the groomsmen getting ready in there. Lol! The area for the women to get ready was a nice big lavatory lounge with big mirrors and lighting. Thank goodness we had a fan bc it did get a bit hot I'm there. Make sure to be prepared to plan though because it seemed like there was lots of prep done by family & friends, so I am not sure if the venue offered a crew for set up & tear down. Over all it was a lovely location for a ceremony!
