We lots of discipline, we got our tickets and entered the incredible children's museum. You walk into a woodland wonderland and it only gets better from there. We are pretty partial to our home museum in Cincinnati and haven't found a better one but this comes very close. Theres so many interactive areas. There is a treehouse down toward the right when you walk in along with a small town. A walk on airplane that allows kids to work with parcels, a train engine you can walk into with model train set behind. A water station as well as stairs to the outdoor portion with an extensive jungle gym, musical instruments, mini golf, and an excavation site with dinosaurs! They had science exhibits for older kids and younger kids alike. A toddler area as well. You could keep any kid toddler to about 10 years of age entertained for hours. Parking isn't free unless you can snag a coveted spot in front but it's not too pricey. Admission is $22 a person. They have last half hour free during summer which is nice. Staff are dressed in purple and nothing but kind and friendly. There is a cafe at the top (well, a "food truck" theme) and tables and benches to eat. Looked like you could pack your own food. Also looked like you could host birthday parties and field trips. All in all, impressive children's museum. We can't wait to come back!

Thursday nights are all about both kinds of music -- Country AND Western. Come for the music, and be sure to check out the amazing art. The building is the perfect mix of historical and modern. I loved how close you can get to everything--you can really appreciate the size and details, and you can even step inside some of the aircraft. The WWII planes and tanks were especially fascinating. The museum is spacious, well organized, and easy to explore at your own pace. Even if you're not a huge military or aviation enthusiast, it's still really interesting. Can't believe a museum with a collection like this is free. Definitely a hidden gem!

Hibulb is absolutely worth the time. I am a fan of tribal history and arts, worldwide. There is so much to learn from the past. I greatly appreciate the artistry, with emphasis on the stories and meanings behind each work. Native American arts, especially carvings, are so potent in their story telling. Hibulb did a fantastic job with their many signs, photos, sharing tales and appreciation of nature. I wish they have a museum book in the gift shop. Things not to miss: - Sit in the Longhouse room and watch the video. - Observe the military service of the Native Americans. - Look closely at the two welcome statues; see below the feet of Kaya. - Enjoy the old restored totem poles and the associated signs for their meanings. - Learn about using cedar trees in different ways (without cutting them down) and later see photos that they are passing on the knowledge to the new generations. - Find the touch and feel boards. At the first address I reached, I found flat paved ground with no building. I was more successful at the second address, finding a small museum building, which was not open at the time. Seeking to see if I could find another exhibit, I remembered the Grimm house that I spotted while exploring North Cove Park. To one side of the Paul and Bertha Grimm House, located on the south side of North Cove Park at the time of my visit, was a small parking area. The gates to the grounds were unlocked, so I made my way to the front door through which a decorated interior was visible including a Lake Stevens Historical Society sign. Outside the front door was a plaque with background about the house, which was constructed in 1903. Fun sites to explore, including just finding the buildings.

They charge a very reasonable $100/hour and they provide the tables, chairs and linens. The room is part of the museum, but allows for 8 round tables and a buffet table. There is a kitchen area that you can use as well. The place is old, but has a lot of character. Guests are free to walk through the museum during their event. The museum is small, but speaks a lot about the city. There is no fee to enter, but donations are accepted.

They have recently moved into their new and much larger location and are still setting things up, but have a great small museum display so far. The Norwesco Telephone Museum has incorporated with them so they have some collections space as well. It is definitely worth a visit.
