They charge a very reasonable $100/hour and they provide the tables, chairs and linens. The room is part of the museum, but allows for 8 round tables and a buffet table. There is a kitchen area that you can use as well. The place is old, but has a lot of character. Guests are free to walk through the museum during their event. The museum is small, but speaks a lot about the city. There is no fee to enter, but donations are accepted.

The building was built in the early 1900s and has probably undergone a few facelifts, but features original to the building can still be appreciated. After we chose and were having fun he would call out tips to us, as in how to pick up items in the game and use them, apparently in our chosen game you have to remove your mask in order to don a hat. We called the owner, Karla, and left a voice message. Later that afternoon, she graciously returned the call and let us know to come by on Friday to see the gallery, opening of a new show, and tour the sculpture park. So thrilled we were spending a second night on Camano Island to be able to meet Karla and enjoy her vision of this art Mecca. There aren't words to explain the magnitude of this Camano Island jewel. The gallery and park feature dozens of regional artists, including Karla. Seven times a year, she hangs a new show in the gallery - we happened to arrive on the day the latest show was opening which included an evening reception. Tours and receptions are free and, so, you can't put a price on the value of this experience. Of course, all of the art - inside and outside - is for sale. I did purchase some cards from a large selection of regional artists. Karla was kind enough to spend some time with us and provide some background on this (second) gallery she owns on the island. The weather was cool and cloudy the day we visited. Just nice enough to spend nearly two hours wondering the grounds. Three other women arrived while were there - two from Seattle and one from Napa - they had come to pick-up some paintings they had purchased. Wish we could have attended that evening's reception, but there was still so much to explore on Camano Island. Hopefully, we'll get there again.

Consulting a maps app on my mobile device to find the Lake Stevens Historical Museum on Wednesday…read more19 July 2023, I found two different addresses. At the first address I reached, I found flat paved ground with no building. I was more successful at the second address, finding a small museum building, which was not open at the time. Seeking to see if I could find another exhibit, I remembered the Grimm house that I spotted while exploring North Cove Park. To one side of the Paul and Bertha Grimm House, located on the south side of North Cove Park at the time of my visit, was a small parking area. The gates to the grounds were unlocked, so I made my way to the front door through which a decorated interior was visible including a Lake Stevens Historical Society sign. Outside the front door was a plaque with background about the house, which was constructed in 1903. Fun sites to explore, including just finding the buildings.

There are snacks, NA drinks and juice available for purchase. Great afternoon outing with friends or family.
