Echoing some of the reviews below, the BrewCade is exactly what Stanwood needed. What a relief!!!!…read moreThis place was great! We were running errands in town & I had seen the BrewCade on a local fb group. We decided to stop in. Games, beer, what could go wrong? Everything went *right*. The bartender was welcoming, friendly, prepared, great selection of beers on tap & in the fridge. Yum! The games were so fun. I expected to feel intimidated (Think: Stranger Things/80s movie arcade competitions), but no. Big Buck Hunter, NBA jam, PinBall of every shape & size; Jurassic Park, racing games! My bf turned into a giddy 12 yr old again - & same! Another huge plus is the TVs. Yes. Why has it always felt so hard to watch the game at a bar in Stanwood? The BrewCade appears to be designed by someone that *also* wants to watch the game at a bar. Deep joy. While there is no in-house food, they had snacks for sale & there are 4 restaurants within the same complex. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Shockingly - prices were GREAT. $6 for a beer. $0.50-$1 per game! At most venues in AZ, I would expect to pay at least double that. I could have spent all day here. We will absolutely be back!

However, I can't tell you how disappointed I was with my two pizzas. I have been wanting to try pizza from Oak Bowl & Mario's Pizza for the past few months and ordered it today. However, I ate slightly under one slice from each of these limp noodled pizzas and the rest went straight into the trash. It's hard to explain how I felt after trying the pizza. It's not really good, it's not really bad, it's not really flavorful and it doesn't even feel like I'm actually eating a pizza? The crust is missing that firmness, the bubbles, the crunch, the flavor and the ability to even support itself when grabbing a slice one handed out of the box. My only advice would be to reexamine your entire pizza making process. I would prioritize researching a school, or individual trained in the art of making pizza dough and sending an owner or trusted employee to go learn the process and bring that knowledge back to the business and train others. In the end, I wish I would have taken a few photos to add to this review but I didn't think it would be fair to this business digging slices out of the trash just for a review photo.

Tickets are around $7 per adult, and you get to watch 2 movies. They also have an arcade and a huge food menu, which makes it feel more like a full night out instead of just watching a movie. The food itself is nothing amazing. We got the curly fries and they were a little soggy for our liking, but honestly I'd still order food there again because it feels like part of supporting the place. The whole spot has that small local community feel, and you can tell it's one of those places people keep coming back to for the experience. If you've never been to a drive-in before, this is such a fun one to try. I'd take this over a regular movie theater any day.

With high theatre prices, seeing more than one movie for less money is a gift. Especially where you can freely take whatever snacks you want (even if it's a whole meal that you somehow got there). And if you forgot your snacks/drinks, no worries because there is a shop where you can get food. There's also an arcade, so if you need something to do while you wait for the movie to start (other than reading a book or scrolling through social media), that's something.

The 80s called... they want their arcade back (and maybe their joysticks too)!…read more We first spotted Crave 80s Arcade Bar while staying overnight at the hotel that shares its parking lot. At the time, we couldn't check it out because we had our dogs with us. The name came up again at the Marysville Strawberry Festival, and when a friend was in town, we decided to give it a try after dinner. While I was born in the 80s, I wasn't exactly hanging out in arcades back then, so this was a bit of a nostalgic first. When you walk in, the walls are lined with pinball machines. There are a few other games scattered around, but pinball is definitely the star here. At the bar, I asked if there was more to the place, and the bartender pointed us to a "living room" behind the bar where you can sit and play Atari or the original Nintendo. The menus came in trapper keepers, complete with the satisfying Velcro sound, which was a fun touch. The guys jumped on the Atari first, but the joysticks didn't seem to work quite right. They moved on to the Nintendo, which was actually a Raspberry Pi loaded with multiple games. After a short stint there, we headed back out to the pinball area. I'm no pinball expert, but we happened to be there during a tournament, and the boys got schooled by some regulars, which made the experience a bit more fun. I also enjoyed the glass case filled with 80s miniatures and artifacts, and the vending machine stocked with nostalgic items like games, books, and snacks you'd expect from that era. Overall, it was a cool concept but felt a bit underwhelming. It's worth checking out once if you're in the area, but it's not a place we'll likely revisit.
