A parent and their small kiddo can skate for two hours on Saturday mornings for less than $20, which has to be one of the best deals in the Valley. My six year old loves it, and he's mastered the chicken dance and hokey pokey. Tons of fun! read more

Prices are reasonable. Has all of the typical features of a skating rink. During open skate, they had a mid- day race event. One round, races grouped by age, no awards given... it was awesome clean fun. Workers all very chill but still doing their work. read more

First impression looks amazing..food option looks good and facility super bright and clean. I really wanted to like this place, but for 50% capacity, the place was really busy for a Wednesday afternoon. I understand it was Spring Break, but I was really surprised how many little kids(5-10yrs) were there. Compared to another skating rink(Lynden), I found that there was way too many little 1st time skaters on the rink. I even saw someone pushing a baby in a stroller on the rink? Is that even allowed and safe? Apparently it was allowed cause no one said anything to her or the kid who later pushed his baby sister around all the skaters. It really made me feel uncomfortable because what if I fell on the toddler sitting strap into an umbrella stroller trying maneuver around them? There were a lot of small kids and many were going fast not paying attention to the learners. For some reason today, there were a lot of learners. You can tell they were learning in how they seem hesitate in moving around the rink. Many would just stand in the rink. I kept feeling that I would accidentally run into a kid or they into me. It really took the fun out of skating. I can tell many of them(adults included) were not aware or practicing the basic skating etiquette in regards to passing or using the inner lanes to pass. Tip: If you are learning how to skate or teaching your kid how to skate, stay on the outer lane. Usually the inner lane is for those that know how to skate. Also, whoever thought it was a great idea to have steps into the rink should really REconsidered that. I watch so many kids trying to enter the rink and end up falling on the steps as they try to go onto the rink. The floor should be flat or level to the rink. Tip#2: please do not gather and block the exit and entrance. It's really not a place to chat with your friends or kids while skaters are trying to exit and enter the rink. Over all the place has so much potential to be a fun place to spend a few hours. Just some minor adjustment and enforcement and it would earn my 4-5 stars. Also, maybe throw in more diverse music selection-- throw in some 80's and 90's music to appease more of us older GenerationX patrons. Or offer theme nights..ie 90's skating time or 80's night so we can go. read more

The good: The place is clean and has been updated since pre-Covid. I've been skating here for years, both for fun and previously with my roller derby league. The pizza is exactly what you would expect. It was hot, tasted good and was delivered to us on time. The two younger staff treated us well. The bad: I hosted a high school ladies reunion, with women coming to the PNW from all over the country; many of us haven't seen each other in forty years. We do this annually and it's the hostesses job to share her community with the group. Because I live in the valley, own a business in the valley and have skated at Skagit Skate for many years, I was very excited to host our 80's costume event at the skate rink; the 80's event is always the last thing we do before flying back to our homes the next morning. I rented the rink for this private event. My excitement ended almost immediately upon entering the rink. We were greeted, and I use that term loosely, by a very unfriendly woman named Misty. Misty was rude, curt and incredibly uninviting. Every single person in our group felt awkward and unwanted. I was mortified. I was very much looking forward to showing these 80's gals our local rink , and ultimately ended up just wanting to skate the other way, and we hadn't even hit the floor yet! Additionally, we had hung up a photo booth backdrop, using painters tape (we are 55 year old adult women that respected the property and took care in not damaging anything). Somehow there was a miscommunication, as I had been advised this backdrop would be OK, perhaps I misunderstood, which I'm willing to say very well may have been the case. After we hung it up, here stomps Misty, frowned face and angry, demanding we remove the backdrop; instead of delivering the bad news that we had to take it down, kindly, she appeared to actually relish in being able to deliver said news. Misty needs a job working from home, not with the public. This woman clearly hates her job, or her life, or neon, or the 80's...or maybe women that are laughing and having a great time. Regardless of why Misty was twisty, I can no longer recommend our local rink. I suggest that you make the drive to Marysville!! Their skate rink is great, the staff is wonderful and the floor is the best in the state. The soda was flat but we didn't dare complain. The fact they changed their tiny tots policy is why we will no longer be coming here. In the past we did our Birthday parties here and now that parents can't skate with their tiny tots and the guide rails cost money isn't worth the cost. Too bad. We used to come here all the time. read more

I mean if I were a kid and had a birthday this place would be where I'd want my party to be! It's truly a phenomenal skating rink, it's family owned and the staff is always super friendly. The prices for snacks and food is priced low in my opinion. It always clean and they keep things fun for the kids with skating games and also play the top music which is appreciated as an adult. They have a few games too like basketball and air hockey for when you need a break from skating. read more

Skagit Skate is awesome!! The best place for a kids birthday party. We just had our son's birthday party here today and everything was perfect. Their staff is so friendly and very helpful. The kept coming back and checking on us the whole entire time. They made the whole process of booking the party so easy. Our kids had so much fun and so did the adults. We had 19 kids and 12 adults skating. They had great music too!! So much fun. I would definetly come back again and have another party too! This place is fun!! Fun for me and my 18 month old!! There are some older kids who go really fast and don't watch where they are going but kids will be kids. Some of the staff is younger and like most young working adults, they need to work on customer service skills, I get it.. but they should know better. Nice atmosphere. Decent skates. Love that they have arcade games and toys and stuff for sale. Took off a star due to the food. Pizza is ok. Too much processed food. Would be nice if they had sub sandwiches and salads. When we were there, half the menu was not available for purchase. Asked for mini donuts and they didn't have any. Asked for fries and they didn't have any. They need to plan ahead and stock up on the popular food stuff. Besides the food, is a great place to take the family. Watch out for parents who don't watch their kids and let them run wild. Love that they have small sessions where different age groups can skate. They also have races where kids can win prizes.
