Imagination activated the moment you step in. There's so much that grabs even an adult's attention when you walk into the doors that it is hard to focus on paying admission to get in. We lots of discipline, we got our tickets and entered the incredible children's museum. You walk into a woodland wonderland and it only gets better from there. We are pretty partial to our home museum in Cincinnati and haven't found a better one but this comes very close. Theres so many interactive areas. There is a treehouse down toward the right when you walk in along with a small town. A walk on airplane that allows kids to work with parcels, a train engine you can walk into with model train set behind. A water station as well as stairs to the outdoor portion with an extensive jungle gym, musical instruments, mini golf, and an excavation site with dinosaurs! They had science exhibits for older kids and younger kids alike. A toddler area as well. You could keep any kid toddler to about 10 years of age entertained for hours. Parking isn't free unless you can snag a coveted spot in front but it's not too pricey. Admission is $22 a person. They have last half hour free during summer which is nice. Staff are dressed in purple and nothing but kind and friendly. There is a cafe at the top (well, a "food truck" theme) and tables and benches to eat. Looked like you could pack your own food. Also looked like you could host birthday parties and field trips. All in all, impressive children's museum. We can't wait to come back! read more

What an amazing experience! We have been to the Seattle, Bellevue and Olympia Children's museum and this definitely amongst the top 2. The museum is definitely little smaller in size which helped me understand the no stroller rule unless medically required. What my kid and I enjoyed the most were - water play area - train track with toy trains and actual working toy train set and the train whistle - marble room, wish there were more marbles for the kids to play - the model airplane and the cargo hauler And lastly, the open area in the roof which we didn't go due to the weather. - air ribbon flow or whatever that's called and seems to be common in all children's museum - writing with light! That was new for me as well! - clean restrooms with toilets and washbasin for the kids to use! We came in late so the paid parking was easy to get, will need to plan for future! We haven't been here for years. We used to take our toddler son and he loved it here, running around. So many interactive exhibits . This building is filled with floors where all children (and adults) can engage in a lot of useful knowledge while having fun. The water exhibit is fascinating. There are a lot of photo opportunities, like driving a bus, riding a tractor, boarding a plane, navigating a ferry and even milking a cow. Even more cool is that the exhibits that feature the Pacific Northwest, which highlights what are our region has to offer. But my favorite, just as what my toddler loved then are the wobbly rope bridges. Everyone can have fun here, for a whole day! read more

It's a cute spot for kids and I can see kids spending a couple hours here touching and playing with all the displays and things that they have. There's everything from waterworks to x-ray stuffed animals to running a train to walking through a giant treehouse and so much more. There is no parking designated for the spot so you'll have to find street parking in the area. read more

There is so much to do at the Children's Museum that there is never a dull moment. Flying a plane, looking for dinosaur bones, driving a bus, learning physics, playing on the playground outside, learning about the oceans and bay, sorting packages. Honestly hours of fun and entertainment. Everything is kept in good working order and there is something for everyone. A great place to let the kid's imagination go crazy! Lots of places to climb and run around to get all the energy out. My son slept so good after his visit. There were a LOT of people, and it is usually pretty busy. If you get a family pass it is a great deal, especially if you are going to go often (honestly there is so much to do you could go every week and do something new)! It is a bit on the pricy side, but the value is definitely worth it. Only gave it 4 stars due to the cost, but again, worth it in my opinion, but still on the expensive side. read more

Came here for an event called Camp Yelp and it was stellar. There were something g 20 vendors all dishing out food and it was amazing. But apart from that, what a cool place to visit! It reminds me of this place called the Exploratorium in San Francisco, with lots of science exhibits made for kids of all ages. They make science fun. My favorite exhibit was this box of kinetic sand with a light above it that was sensitive to how you formed it. If you build a mountainy structure, the light projects a volcano with lava coming out of it. Make a whole then it makes a lake. It was fascinating. They also have ramps to play with, loading cranes, and other things that you can spend a day on to help your kids to be curious. This is a must visit for parents whose kids have a penchant for STEm. For kids who don't, they'll still have a blast! read more

Went here for a special yelp event a couple of weeks ago. No expectations with this place but 4 year old me would be screaming in joy to be in a place like this! So much for kids to be playing with and they will not be bored. I enjoyed a few of the activities for sure! I still can't make a proper paper plane, that's for sure. read more

Imagine Children's Museum is hands down the best museum in Washington state - and the largest by far! Olympia is pretty impressive, but it's got nothing on Imagine (in the nicest way). My first visit was two years ago for my daughter's second birthday, and now it was my son's second birthday this past weekend and due to rainy weather, we had to cancel our zoo plans. While Everett is a deep drive, we decided to pivot and bring him here to celebrate, too! You can easily spend 2+ hours here, maybe even the whole day depending on your kids' ages. My son only lasted about two hours but if I brought my older two here they could easily play much longer! All of the interactive play is clean, updated, and well executed. My son loved the water area and the outdoor rooftop playground, too! We managed to get out there in between spurts of rain and it was a ton of fun. I personally love the second floor with the giant whale and the fun ocean exhibits! There's a soft toddler play area there as well as on the first floor. The third floor is where you can take your lunch break - there's plenty of seating for you to bring your own food and snack, or they have a cute food truck with simple lunch options and coffee. Overall we had a super fun time and we'll need to return this summer with all three kiddos to have a full day of play. read more

Love this location. We have been here many times. My kids love the large airplane, train, tug boat and bus. It is always very clean and friendly here. This place is amazing! Everything is well taken cared of and I was surprised how clean everything was kept considering there were so many families and kids running around. It seemed that every section had an attendant or two and enough bathrooms to never have a line. The rooftop adventure area is so cool but gets VERY hot. Just know that strollers are not allowed inside unless medically necessary. They do lend front carriers for babies that you return at the end of your stay. Also no food or drinks allowed except in the cafeteria on the third floor. read more

My children enjoyed this museum so much. We happened to stop by on Tuesday without knowing that they have discounted tickets every Tuesday. If you have wic, ebt or state insurance they give you an additional discount. Im not sure how much since I didn't have any of the requirements. You must pay for 90min street parking or pay $5 por the parking lot behind the museum for a maximum of 3hours. You will find, animal, nature, water, theater, farm, aircraft, train, restaurant play spaces. Your child wont want to leave. read more

Tree house area is the raddest - for both kids and kids at heart alike! So creative, tons of options for creative play, and staff lead activities. The Wildlife Rescue activity has the coolest interactive stations, from x-ray machine that corresponds to the specific stuffed animal on the table, to a microscope with various slides to view. There's a catch and release fishing pond with enough details alone for a game of I-Spy. The original museum is still in tact too, so you really could spend a solid few hours here. Outside food is only allowed on the third floor outdoor playground area. Admission was a flat $22/pp, only 12 months and younger are free, a little pricey for caretakers, in my opinion. No cafe, not very many spots for grown ups to sit and rest - makes sense, they want you to actually stay with and watch your kids. read more

We have been to a lot of different childrens museums all over. We live far from this one, but I will say, this is an amazing one. One of the absolute best ones we have ever been to. There was so much that it is almost overwhelming. When you first walk in, you see this giant tree climbing type of play structure. Each room has so many details and care, and it's incredible. They even had a stop motion section. They had a plane that you could go into, have the kids really feel like they are sitting in a real plane, etc. There's an outside area on the rooftop with a giant play structure, a dinosaur fossil site, and some musical stuff. A room where you can get snacks or eat food. Room after room after room with so many activities. I have a 3 year old and an 8 year old year, and a lot of the museums are too boring for my 8 year old, but this one actually had things that entertained her. This place is amazing, if you live close, you're lucky, if you live far, it's worth the drive. Definitely recommend this children's museum as it's one of the best. read more

I'm impressed this huge museum space exists with a lot of variety of interactive exhibits. It definitely would be popular spot for rainy days to entertain any child. The roof top playground is huge and spacious which was arguably the best looking area. Weekdays are definitely the best and least crowded times. Parking is limited to barely any street parking that has time limit or a paid lot behind the building. $22/person for anyone over 1 year old is a bit steep. If you have young toddler that barely walks, it's not worth it full price. They do offer a 50% discount though for members of Bellevue KidsQuest so that was more reasonable, although I still don't agree a younger toddler should be charged the same rate as an adult. read more

Great museum! They sure built it out well. I have taken my son to the children's museums in Tacoma, downtown Seattle, and Kids Quest in Bellevue and this one is by far the best. There is so much to say about this museum i'll have to sum up this review with key words and pictures! Here is a list of some of the things your child will experience and learn about: Wilderness, fishing, camping, big foot(for fun), construction, trains, an airplane, shipping and receiving industry, movie production, rooftop playground, dinosaur fossils, miniature golf, kinetic sand, woodshop work shop, painting and art room, cafe on third floor, water works with a water table and much more! There are a couple of things I missed in that list. The place is huge. My 2 year old had a blast with the whole museum. But if your hesitant with your kids age, there are two areas for kids under 3. One on the first floor, one on the second. Parking is good, but you gotta pay certain times and it's free other times. Note the sign where you park, it explains it. Have a good time! read more

One of the coolest places for kids. Your children are absolutely gonna love this place. It has creative puzzles things to do places to see different things to touch and fill and fun materials for all ages. I caught myself wanting to play with some other things. This museum has it all and it is absolutely the coolest place, if you need somewhere to go take your kids where they learn things things and know things try this museum. You won't be disappointed. It doesn't cost much. They have great services there for children and their employees are absolutely wonderful. We learned so many different things and had so much fun. I would take my grandchildren there over and over again. read more

This place is awesome for small kids. Lots to explore and activities to do. Great place to let kids run around and explore. No strollers allowed so you will need to baby ware if you have a small baby. They have lots of arts and crafts projects and interactive play. They have member only hours too and that helps cut down on the number of guests for an hour. Definitely would recommend checking this place out with small kids. read more

Daaaang this place is amazing! I had been hearing from other parents how great this spot was but frankly didn't want to make the journey to Everett. I'm so glad we finally did (and regret we haven't done it sooner). They've thought of everything. It's HUGE! With multiple levels and each experience is incredibly well thought out and detailed. Some kids will love the calm areas for building structures or putting on a play. Others will love the non stop action of the tree house ropes course. Then they can transition to a play campfire, a veterinarian clinic with an Xray machine, a water area, a cinema, upstairs playground, dinosaur dig - not enough space to name everything!!! Food and drinks are only allowed on the top level cafeteria. Bring your own or buy from the limited selection they have (think Uncrustables, hotdogs, Mac n cheese, grab sandwiches etc). They do have drip coffee for parents but not much else. It's expensive and depending in where you are might not be convenient but it's hands down the best kids museum / kids activity we've done in 7 years in the area. I've seen this museum several times and finally decided to purchase tickets to take my toddlers; I'm so happy I did!! Within 20 minutes my husband and I were talking about becoming members. This museum is exactly what's needed for any parents with children under the age of 5. It's really rare to find a place that both of children can enjoy simultaneously, my 3 and 1 yr old equally enjoyed themselves. We only made it through the first floor, but are already planning our next visit later this weeks since we our members! I'm really looking forward to the sensory classes for my youngest and the continued exploration my 3 year old will be able to do during our next visits. The expansion upon the museum is almost complete yielding even more adventurous activities. This establishment discriminates against children with disabilities. I took my niece who is mild-severe autistic came all the way from Idaho. Being an autistic child she has a cognitive ability of a 5-6 year old although she is older than 12. They do not let children 12 or older in even with a parent. Nothing on the main page of their website on this policy. They denied her entry even when I explained the situation and they could see her disability. She was heartbroken not understanding why other children were allowed in but not her. I can understand they not wanting to mix big kids and little ones but there is absolutely no consideration with individual situations such as disabilities. I will be filing a Disabilities Rights violation with the WA State Human Rights Commission. read more

I am so happy I made the drive to this amazing museum! The kids had so much fun! This place is huge and we spent the entire day exploring all the exhibits. The museum was clean and well taken care off. Exhibits were reset regularly and cleaned. My favorite was the giant inside treehouse with all the rope bridges and rooms to explore it was very impressive. The food options are slim at the food court and some of the items were expired. I've come here a few times with my daughter and it's always a fun time! During the summer, their rooftop play area is amaaaazing! It's huge and has a variety of activities for the kids to explore and play in: dinosaur area, musical instruments and large slides and play structures. In the museum area, we've enjoyed the water area, plane, and the ball gravity activity (no idea what the name is). Only down side is that they don't sell food and you can't eat upstairs, oh and street parking is only 2 hours. Either way, it's a fun time and great way to kill time when the weather sucks.
