Beautiful place with a beach park near by and an awesome view of the waterfront. You can see the tides ebb and flow and the beautiful dawn and dusk. There's a little pier nearby where people are seen fishing and crabbing, and you can see the ferry arriving and departing. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean with great water pressure in the shower. The room I had offered a partial view of the waterfront and had a cozy gas fireplace. There is also free covered and uncovered parking. BUT I'm also rating the food! There is a complimentary hot breakfast offered with breakfast burritos (and of course salsa, avocado, and hot sauce), scrambled egg, breakfast strata, sausage/bacon, and potatoes. Of course, no breakfast is complete without a waffle maker with both standard batter and a rotating flavored batter. There's also yogurt, breakfast cereal, milk, juice, coffee and tea. There is a huge selection so there's something in it for everyone! And the views are just amazing just from the dining area. I would stay here again! read more

This is the most relaxing place to stay. We love it here and will keep returning each time we want to get away from Portland. The location on the Puget Sound is ideal and the waves breaking will cause you to relax and sleep like rocks. In order to escape my Eastside home with no a/c, I stayed here four three nights during the excessive heat wave we had. This is a nice hotel. Beds are comfy, to-go breakfasts are fine (the breakfast ciabatta sandwich is especially good). Amenities are nice. Service is good although I had requested a quiet room and the first room they gave me wa directly across from the elevator/ice machine/laundry! NOT a quiet room. Situated right on the waterfront, the Silver Cloud Inn in Mukilteo is a pleasant place to stay with great views at a reasonable price. Although the rooms are a little dated and could use a make-over, they were spacious and clean, offering plenty of room for folks to kick back and relax. I have heard and read comments from others complaining about the noise level. Fortunately for me, my room was tucked away in a far corner where I couldn't really hear anyone other than the guest next door opening and shutting their door. I also had a beautiful view of Possession Sound and Whidbey Island, a type of breathtaking view you don't normally see out in the mid-west. I really appreciated the complimentary breakfasts, wi-fi, and free local shuttles. This place really couldn't do more to make it convenient for their guests! For Boeing employees, this hotel is a short 10 minute drive to the Everett offices. Super convenient with a nice view and a delicious restaurant next door (Ivar's- Look for my review!). There's also a quaint lighthouse park down the street, within walking distance. Be sure to take a walk down there on Wednesdays as they host a little farmer's market filled with fragrant flowers, flavorful sweets, and beautiful handcrafted gifts. read more

This might be my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in -- for many different reasons. I recently moved out of an apartment but had a week to kill until my next place was ready. I wanted a break from the city but still be close because I would likely have to jet back once or twice. I arrived on a Wed night after being exhausted from a final moving day. I was deep in some post move anxiety and not happy. I arrived to a very quiet hotel at 10pm and was greeted immediately by a very friendly woman at the desk. I was in my room quickly. The room was clearly nice but i was exhausted. I decided to take a shower. That's when my world changed. The shower was AWESOME! It was so awesome in fact that i took a pic of the shower head and determined to order my own. The rest of my week long stay was very much inline with this little anecdote. The experience was full of little touches that were great. ROOM: I had a room that they call a partial view but it was still amazing. It had double doors that opened to a view of the beach and the water. It's partial because you have to look somewhat diagonal. Still wonderful. The room was extremely clean. I don't recall seeing one spot of wear or missed dust. The room also has a great desk with an awesome chair. I can say I got a ton of work done. Also, the room has a cool little fire place but it was summer so I just had to imagine it toasty. BED: Great! Extremely comfortable. I slept like a log. There are these cool little reading lights that pop out of the head board. Another little touch. TV is huge and front and center. I will say the cable system was terrible to navigate but not a big deal. HOTEL: Breakfast was terrific. There was a decent selection of food and it was cooked perfectly. The coffee pot was always full (Very Important). The breakfast was on par with much larger hotels that serve business folks. STAFF: Very friendly. There was always someone at the desk and they were always happy and positive. AREA: A little quiet gem. It's right next to the ferry so people familiar with ferry life probably know the picture. One great thing i discovered is the awesome pub next door -- Diamond Knot I believe. It sort of looks dingy on the outside but it is a very lively joint once you step in. The burgers are 5 star pub burgers. Just about every night i went in for a burger and 2 pints. All in all, my stay is going to be a memorable part of my summer just because of all the stress i was under right before. I totally expected to just chill out in some common hotel for a week but every little detail just went perfectly. I already miss my morning coffee in the lounge looking out over the water and watching the ferries coming in through the fog. I even saw some seals on my last day. I wish i knew about this place years ago just as a quick place to spend a night or two to get out of the city. My one tiny frustration -- in case the staff is reading this -- is that the lamps in the rooms sort of flicker after a while. I would assume its due to the bulbs but not sure. The tub is divine. Then view is even better. Both put together and it's pretty dreamy. Pricey, but worth it. Already booked a return stay for our anniversary. Few tips: the fan and jetted tub timer switch is on the wall. (Not just the button on the tub!) And, yes- the people outside can see you! The privacy blinds are tricky. I wish I would have been told when arriving how it all worked. Or, read a review. It was certainly an adventure figuring it out. Play with the blinds until they are set in a way that works. Last night, I didn't figure out they could really see me from outside - until it was a little too late. Then, it was a tricky towel get up situation. So - now you know. Diamond Knot is yummy and a quick walk. I would recommend walking with someone at night. It's a tiny bit sketchy when solo. Room service from Ivars is expensive. The coconut shrimp were great! Parking is free. On the street and undercover. Ignore the signs that restrict time - you are fine with the pass they give you for the dash. You'll get it when you check in. Bed is comfy. Room is pretty clean. Could use a good scrub of the shower area and the corners of the floors. Overall- I was good walking around barefoot :) Lobby is cute. Free breakfast (6-9am) is ok. Checkout is noon. Staff are kind. Have fun! read more

Seems you never know these days what you will get when you request a "scenic view". Whether it's water, city, mountain, sometimes you end up standing on your tip toes looking at an angle off a tall window. This was not the case here. It was a true view of the beautiful Puget Sound, and Whidbey Island. Being able to open a full door, and have a window all looking out, the sound of the water all night, it was perfect. Thankfully although we didn't get a beautiful sunset thanks to Washington weather, we also didn't have to deal with rain. It was just a very over cast, mild weathered day. We could see a sea lion right outside, as well as birds, the ferries, and fishermen. We walked next door to Ivars, got swirly ice cream congress and walked around by the water. Due to COVID there was no breakfast service, and not much conversing with any of the staff... But they were very friendly when we checked in and out. The room was clean, and worked out perfect for our quick little stay. We are from PNW and never thought of staying in Mukilteo... But so glad we did. Maybe after COVID we will stay again and take the ferry over to the island for the day. read more

This Inn is beautiful, the location is perfect, the staff are friendly and welcoming. We got caught waiting for the ferry and had to find a place for one of our children to connect to the wifi for a telehealth appointment. Even though we weren't staying at the inn, the staff went out of there way to make sure my child was able to connect in a quiet, private space. We experienced one of the best hotel stays that we have ever had! We were immediately impressed by the beauty of the location and spent some time just standing on the hotel's deck watching the water and the scuba divers. All of the front desk employees were helpful both over the phone and in person. We got a good deal at about $150 for the night with a partial ocean view, King sized bed, large flat screen tv, and blasting air conditioning. there was also an ice machine and free laundry room right around the corner from our room. With the long trip we are taking, the laundry was a huge plus for us! We spent a lot of time in the room, enjoying the comfy bed and watching tv. When we decided to be a little adventurous, we walked to a few of the super nearby local establishments. After a great nights sleep, we enjoyed their complimentary breakfast which included scrambled eggs, rosemary potatoes, mini breakfast burritos, breakfast sausage, Belgian waffles, Danishes, muffins, bagels, toast and some continental options such as cereal, yogurts, fruit, and oatmeal. It was awesome for a free included breakfast! If our life ever takes us back to Mukilteo or anywhere in the surrounding area, we would like to come back and stay here again! read more

If you get a chance to stay here-go for it! It is SO worth the money to get an ocean-view room (and jacuzzi if you can). We had room 321: corner top floor over pier with jucuzzi and great view of Lighthouse Beach. This hotel is so relaxing. Expansive windows that open to sea breezes, fireplace, large flat screen TV, lounge area, seawalk, books to borrow in the downstairs library... Seattle and shopping outlets are just short drives away when you want some adventure. There is simple breakfast in the mornings and an Ivers next door. Arnie's (amazing fish and chips and extensive menu) is across the street and tea and coffee in hotel lobby. Tip: Staff said hotel is less busy in winter but scenery is amazing and fireplaces cozy so look for internet deals then. We loved the noise of the ocean and fisherman on the pier, but if you are a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs. read more

The area was hit with an unexpected snow storm dimming our hopes for a ride service or cab to Paine Field...the General Manager went out of her way to provide us with very early morning transportation enabling us to catch our flight. A 5-star review that kept yo-yoing down to a final 2 on the day of checkout. You can read everyone's glowing 4 and 5-star reviews so I'll skip to what needs improvement. I also have a theory about the 5-star reviews: 1) they didn't spend more than 7 nights in the hotel 2) they stayed on the third floor 3) they didn't run into the night shift clerk 4) they are very sound sleepers. This is an old hotel with thin walls, which is what I've read on other reviews on TA, so I went ahead and asked for a top floor room over a month in advance. If I'm staying 8-nights and dropping $2,000 I'll need to be able to sleep. The manager was really nice and replied quickly, however I didn't get my wish and was placed on the second floor suite view. It was really nice but very noisy. I could hear creaking fixtures, people walking overhead, kids running down the hall on the upper floors, doors slamming, and even regular conversation; right.through.the.walls. I asked for earplugs at the front (which they have for the ferry, which ironically, was quiet compared to the guests and I have a suspicion these earplugs -totally useless- are for the thin walls of this hotel). After three nights and being up until 1230 AM due to the walking above me, I went down to the front desk and asked (nicely) to be moved to a room upstairs. The clerk reported that the people staying above me were checking out tomorrow but couldn't guarantee that I'd get the room and didn't explain any further. She said she could place me on the second floor. Now why would I want to be exposed to that again? I told her if that's the case, I'd have to check out. Not being able to sleep is ridiculous. She grudgingly told me they will move me upstairs. I thanked her and for her troubles and there was nothing but sullen silence. I was made to feel bad for asking. The 3rd floor room was better. It was a definite down-grade from the room we were in as there was no fireplace and the view wasn't as great but I was grateful to be able to sleep. I could still hear noise through the walls, but at least there was no stomping above me. This room also didn't have the creaking fixtures as the last room, so I was OK with that. We got a written notice stating the hotel would have to have access to our room around 9 AM as they were doing something to the headboards. No problem. What I didn't like was the arguing between a housekeeper and the maintenance man. He was clearly trying to help her and all she could do was raise her voice at him. He was the same helpful guy that helped fix a creaky fixture in my room on the 2nd floor that actually worked. Housekeeping was hit or miss. Some days we had 4 glasses, on other days, 2. Some days we had adequate towels and on other days, missing towels. I only got lotion 2 nights out of 5. The last night of our stay, the housekeeper left unwrapped soap on the toilet for us which was gross. I left a tip daily, so I don't know why they'd do this. Check out is what made me mad. The same clerk that gave me a hard time about moving rooms was there. Oh great. She made me sign another charge stating that I owed another $243. I said why? She said it was because I added on a night. I said no, not true. After some back and forth, it was discovered that the hotel charged me for 7 nights and ADDED on the 8th night. I originally requested to stay 8 nights, so they managed to confuse me even more, not to mention raising my blood pressure up a 100 points. People who definitely made my stay nice were Alison and the young maintenance man; I felt they went above and beyond to help me and were really nice. Alison raised the rating back up to a 4 but check out lowered it down to a 2. I have never had a more confusing and unhappy check out process as I've had here. Upon returning home, more hassles - had to email the manager, call the hotel and ask my credit card company to make sure they didn't charge me the extra $50 that was pending on my credit card without my approval. The manager was nice enough to assure me they wouldn't, but no guest should have to go through this kind of headache! read more

Love, love, love staying here when I'm on business travel in Everett! The staff are super friendly and the location is on the waterfront. Sometimes I get lucky and get the view of Possession Sound and other times I get the parking lot. Occasionally I get upgraded to the jacuzzi room too! Their Silver Rewards program is awesome and I've racked up so many points just from staying here at least a week at a time. Why would I pick a big chain in the city when I can stay at this quaint and homey yet luxurious hotel by the water? It's doesn't have a gym, but they have a partnership with the YMCA in Mukilteo and the community center up the hill. I go and take classes at the Y to stay active whenever I'm here, but that's another review. You only get one pass for the community center fitness center during each stay and then it's $5 per addition visit, but it is very basic. Ivar's is next door, a pub is a little further, and up the hill are plenty of other restaurants like a Thai place, pizza joint, candy shop, and Mexican cafe. I can't express how easy it is to get everywhere by foot. AND you can't beat the beautiful view of the water. There's groups that start their dives from the shore line outside of the hotel so there must be a lot to see underwater as well. I will end my long review with a recommendation for those of you who want a nice day trip idea, the ferry is right there. Drive onto it to get to Whidbey Island! read more

The pros: When I called to mention we would be a late check in the front desk associate was very kind and noted it down. The breakfast was actually good and they has a pico de gallo salsa that was incredibly tasty. The view of the water is very nice (though if you get there late like we did you won't have time to appreciate it). The cons: For one night with a parking lot view, it costs over $200. These were the most uncomfortably pillows I have every slept on, they were too small and fluffy without giving. The alarm clock in the room was set to go off at 6 in the morning for some reason and the ferry joined in the wake up call by blowing its horn twice (which I was told it frequently does in the mornings when there are a lot of boats out). All in all: You can probably do better. Try finding a nice B&B on the island. read more

Came to Washington for a friend's wedding and stayed here, as it was recommended by our friends to be married. It was a bit of a drive from the airport and definitely a scenic one. When we finally arrived we checked in and went straight to the room to freshen up. The room was very spacious and very fairly priced. We did not have a view of the water and instead had one of the very busy parking lot located across the street; not good. So let's address this "parking lot" ... apparently there is a boat that comes in to transport cars to the outer islands and the line goes very far up the road, then ends at this lot where they all file up to then drive onto the boat when it arrives. I must admit that this became a major inconvenience in more ways then one; i.e. waiting in traffic/boat line when all we're trying to do is get back to the hotel or the obnoxious honking. Another downside was the parking at the Inn. We sometimes had trouble finding parking at the hotel even though you're supposed to have a permit to park there, meaning either they gave out more permits then they had spots or they weren't strict with the permits so people without them were parking there -- either way it was a pain waiting for a spot to open up. In the morning they did offer a small breakfast buffet with waffles, eggs, sausages, pastries, and etc. It was great to be able to grab a bite to eat while sitting at a table with a view of the water. After we ate we were all able to take a walk along side the water, which was very soothing. Oh, and having internet was a huge plus. read more

My wife and I love this hotel it sits adjacent to the Mukilteo ferry with some railroad tracks not far off. These are both serenity sounds for me. The sound of the seawater hitting the sea wall as the ferries cross and the train occasionally rolling by with the toot of a horn. It is a very clean hotel as our most Silver Clouds with a great staff. The serve a continental breakfast that is above the regular fare in a cozy area over looking the inlet. read more

After staying many times up by Paine Field, I decided to try the Silver Cloud and enjoy "downtown" Mukilteo for an evening. I booked a regular king room but was upgraded on check in to a corner water view jacuzzi suite. And I must say, it was fantastic. The room itself was on the west end of the building, overlooking the ferry and Ivar's. It was a large room and had a bed, small bathroom, separate jacuzzi (overlooking the water), desk, fireplace and TV. All of it was super clean. The bed was comfortable. WiFi was free and fast. The fireplace was a nice way to keep the room warm. And that view...that view is awesome. Parking is under the hotel and free for one car per room, which is great since Mukilteo can get very busy on nice days and weekends. Being within walking distance of Ivar's for dinner and Diamond Knot for drinks was a big plus too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

Everyone was amazing! However the cleaning lady barked at me BC my bride needed an extra towel! She then said "when are you checking out", sorry I haven't had coffee not hit the food downstairs ask me that later! Clearly it was a big deal we needed to get it! I was asking the staff downstairs for everything and they really made it a great stay! The bride wasn't feeling good and they made everything all good! The continental breakfast with waffles, eggs, dairy free yogurt really helped the sick bride! Everyone was tired so I had to take food up and no one questioned me which was nice!! We spent our 15th wedding anniversary at the Silvercloud in Mukilteo, WA. It was outstanding. The room was clean, spacious and inviting. They were even nice enough to give us a free room upgrade. We stayed in a King suite with a jacuzzi. The views are worth the price. The only cons I have is they are a little noisy as far as the ocean is concerned. It did keep me up that night with the crashing of the waves, but that is my fault for a water view. read more

Great place to stay if you are looking for a hotel near Everett or in Mukilteo. I booked for one night but then later extended our stay an additional night. The waterfront room was great, the only downside was that there was a partial view of the neighbors room when you look outside. The room was decent, a fridge, a nice flat screen tv, bathroom with nice shower and a separate sink inside the room. The staff who worked there were very nice to us, friendly, and were never rude even if we were running late to vacate the room. The free breakfast that they include was pretty good, even though it took a little while to restock the items when they ran out. area. The hotel said they don't really have any discounts if you try to book with them directly, so I'd recommend booking with your favorite travel service/site. My stay for a full view waterfront room with a king bed cost around $135/night on the weekend, with a deal on orbitz. Overall I would recommend and would love to come back if I needed a place to stay in the read more

For a short trip to Seattle, Mukilteo's was a beautiful stay since it's true to its name and is right on the waterfront. Depending on your luck, you could get a view facing the waterfront. We didn't this time, but my sister loved it last time. We saw 2 types of rooms: one classic suite styled room with a main bedroom and a separate living room with a sofa bed. Another one is a getaway aesthetic with a bathtub in the room with waterfront views. Access to public transportation: the bus is a 2min walk away, and it can take you all the way to Seattle (~1.5hr trip) with one bus transfer. $2.25/person. Free continental breakfast, nothing special. If you're here for more than a few days, it can get boring. The nice thing is the dining room's access to the boardwalk surrounding the inn so you can take in your morning breeze pre/post-breakfast. read more
