Had an amazing two nights in the king suite with jacuzzi and gorgeous water view. We requested the room where the fireplace was next to the jacuzzi and our accommodation was exactly as we asked. The water temperatures are fantastic, as the water instantly gets hot or cold; we do not even have this at home! We live just down the road but wanted to "vacation" somewhere romantic and this location did not disappoint. The view and jacuzzi in room are the things that really made our stay wonderful. The ability to turn the jets on and off from within the tub itself also came in handy as the jets are very loud while they are on. Ivar's is right out the door and always tons of people and they will take orders right up until the very last minute at 10 pm. We also went to the Diamond Knot which is just a few steps away from Ivar's and their ice cream was amazing. Ivar's has ice cream but I strongly recommend Diamond Knot's ice cream for tourists just visiting the area. The hotel offers breakfast in the morning. We were a little disappointed that they had sausage both days we were there as we were looking forward to the bacon we saw in pictures-- but we found solace in the best blueberry muffins I have ever tasted in my life. As for the critiques, I would give 4 1/2 stars if Yelp allowed me to do so, as there were only small details that we felt could use some adjustment. The shades go up instead of down, so we could not really watch the water from within the jacuzzi without having an audience from outside. This hotel does not offer room service for food as far as we could tell, and if they do it is definitely not advertised anywhere. The channel guide does not show what is playing on each channel, it just gives you a list of channels and it's a little quirky to navigate. They charge for toothpaste here, and even though it's only $1, I feel this should be complimentary as most hotels I have stayed in provide it for free. Overall, we had very tiny complaints, and we do plan to stay here again in the future. read more

Booked this last minute on Kayak, went to the desk & the gal was uber friendly , I shared my train ride story ( see Amtrak review ) & she said , let's keep this night exciting & she upgraded me to the fireplace suite ! Helooooooo!!! What a view ! Love hearing the waves crashing outside my window, fireplace was so cozy, the bed was super comfy! Very happy with this Inn. The view is fantastic. The location is wonderful as it is right on the water, near some great restaurants, near a lovely lighthouse and park, and right by the ferry. We took a walk through the park, sat by a fire on the beach, rode the ferry, and ate at the nearby pub. Never had to move the car once to do all that. Our room was on the third floor on the end near the ferry. I was worried the sound of the ferry would wake me up all night, but the hotel seems to be well built and we weren't disturbed by the noise at all. Let's start with this is my third time staying here. This hotel used to be amazing.....the location is excellent and the staff used to be very attentive! I have never been more insulted! The front desk staff was rude and only interested in talking with other staff members instead of assisting guests! The maid service was horrible we had to ask for everything! The complimentary breakfast has turned into a battle zone. The service attendant complained about everything and everybody out loud each day making it so uncomfortable to eat there! We stayed here for a short weekend getaway. The stay was nice and location is different than where I've stayed before. This location provides a scenic view of Western Washington's beautiful landscape. We stayed in their room with the jacuzzi tub over looking the water. We found this to be relaxing and enjoyed watching the ferry and the wildlife in the water. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The parking under the garage is narrow but adequate. The noise from the ferry on the 2nd floor was barely noticeable. The only downside to the room was the bed. It was hard to sleep on and very firm. This might be an issue of personal preference but I tossed and turned most of the night. Otherwise we will stay here again in the future. read more

We wanted to get away from the city, so we decided to stay at the Silver Cloud Inn, a place we see frequently from the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry terminal parking lot. It was a last-minute decision, but we managed to get a great rate on a top floor, ocean-view room, complete with a king bed, fireplace, partial kitchen, and large vanity/bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. 24 snacks/coffee in the lobby. Continental breakfast included. Cons: We had to have our fireplace adjusted, because apparently it doesn't work if the room thermostat is on (?), but we were happy to have it working. That is, until, we realized that the glass became SCORCHING hot. Far more than the small, bronze placard saying "Caution: hot surface" would imply, as even barely brushing by could have caused severe burns. So, despite looking pretty and being a selling point for the room, the fireplace was a bust. There was a large wedding over at the Lighthouse park this particular Saturday. Many of the guests and/or wedding party must have stayed at the Inn, as we were kept awake until after midnight by LOUD hallway conversations and running back and forth. Not quite the quiet, restful stay-away we were looking for, but it was peaceful from 1 AM on. No other noise could be heard in adjoining rooms, and the ferry itself we never heard. Waves were peaceful. Overall, we'd stay again, but maybe in the off-season or when the hotel isn't booked with wedding parties. read more

It's a beautiful setting. My room was a suite above the water. It's clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Complaints are few but there is no bar! Yes, Ivars restaurant is a few steps away so it's certainly convenient, but once I got into my room and got in comfortable clothes I wanted to have a glass of wine in my room and there was no way to do that. Disappointed. I am surprised there is no mini-bar either. I am not psychic but I predict this hotel will either be purchased or upgraded in the very near future. read more

We decided to book a room for a nice weekend getaway. We booked what we thought was the King Room with the partial View, we immediately went up to the room #205 before bringing our bags and were immediately bummed out to find out that our partial view was actually a GREAT view of the back parking lot full of construction!!! We immediately went downstairs to voice our concerns with us thinking we were getting a partial view but in reality it was the back parking lot full of construction. And to top it off they weren't very accommodating sort of like well oh sorry we are booked and that is all we have we can refund your money...... Not what we really wanted to hear. So fair warning to those who think they maybe booking a partial view make sure its not the parking lot full of construction!! read more

Great little hotel! The views from this place are spectacular. It is a nice location and can walk up to the lighthouse and surrounding parks and of course the piers. The room was clean and large. The bed comfortable and there was a fireplace in our room for extra coziness while looking out the bay window. The checkin and checkout was easy and the staff was courteous. Stayed here tonight because it was close to my customer. This is a really cool place right on the waterfront right next to the ferry and there are great restaurants close. This may be the most disappointing hotel I've ever stayed in. As an executive for a large company I put a good 75-100 nights on the road (qualifying my opinion), and this was worst room I stayed in this calendar year. Beautifully situated on the Puguet Sound, this establishment does nothing right. Everything felt cheap and dirty. The bed was not comfortable, and the sheets and bedding were very scratchy, I reserved a suite, so that I would have an extra room separated from the bed. The couch is this room was so worn and old, it was like sitting on springs. This property is situated where it should have a beautiful view. My view was through a dirty window. My bath tub was not properly cleaned either. So here is where I want to try and be fair. If you have never seen water, you may deal with the lack of quality furnishings and be excited about the view. Or if you are used to the low end of the hotel/motel spectrum (think motel 6, sorry) then you will be alright. I paid 30% above market rate in Seattle the night I stayed here. I was willing to pay to be in Mukilteo. It's such a nice little community, and I will post some nice food reviews, but this was just wrong - this place is no good. I will never stay there again. read more

Bear in mind that the Silver Cloud is a beautiful, well maintained hotel in a very nice location, with a tremendous view. Having said that, and acknowledging the excellent free breakfast, the room we had was very noisy; restaurant/bar patrons coming out next door could be heard at fairly low conversational levels, we could hear the traffic when the ferry was loading and unloading, and we heard footsteps from somewhere like whoever it was was walking through our room. Clean, well appointed, and a wonderful view from the lobby. BUT having said that, I would avoid the rooms on the ferry end of the hotel on the street side. We'll try again, but make sure we don't get put off in the corner. read more

Stayed in a suite here with my dear friend the bride and a few other bridesmaids saturday, the night before her wedding! The suite had a big bay window with goregous views over looking the sound! We all couldnt stop talking about the veiws! We left the window open over night and it was so relaxing to hear the ocean crash against the shore and feel that ocean breeze! Great place to stay. I travel often to the Everett area, I almost all the time stay in this cute little hotel. It location is just fabulous, right next to the ferry landing on the ocean front. If you the get the ocean view room, the view is simply marvelous especially during sunset. It has complimentary breakfast which is decent and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. The reason I reluctantly docked one star because they don't have a in house gym. They do give a daily pass to the nearby community center about 2-3 blocks. For some might not be an issue at all. My partner booked this room and as soon as I entered the lobby I was in love. The view is amazing. Right at water level, the large windows gave a fantastic view of the bay. Our room has a spacious and clean king size bed and a fireplace. It had a desk for me to do some work at and when I opened the french doors I had a great view of the snow capped mountains and bay. I even watched people learning to scuba dive. It was a very cozy room. I'd book here again if given the chance. read more

I read so many reviews of this place on the way here. I am only here for one night and they put me in a pretty dated suite with no screen on the windows. I also face a parking lot. I called the front desk and she said they had other rooms, but it would cost $50 to get one with a screen on the window. I always find it weird when I am staying one night at a hotel and they won't upgrade to better rooms to make you really happy with your stay. My partner books a room here. As we approached the hotel from the ferry, I knew that she had booked a good one. The view is absolutely stunning. The managers on duty were professional and very kind accommodating my family's need for a crib which was set up and bedded upon arrival. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathtub is big enough to bathe in, the tv is large and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. I slept well. The one snafu that occurred was a lack of blankets and my partner went down and came back with the housekeeper carrying five additional blankets for our comfort. That is amazing service. Their breakfast was hot and delicious. It included: eggs, sausage, an assortment of pastries and bagels, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee and more. I would strongly advocate any traveler to book a stay in the Silver Cloud Inn. read more

Stayed at this location on 2 different occasions. First time was great. Good clean room facing the water and a decent price. The second time was horrible. The change their rates on a whim and we ended up paying more for a room facing the parking lot, RR tracks, and line-up for the ferry. The reception staff indicated that their rates go up and down through out the season. We stayed the first time in July and the second in August. Doesn't make sense. read more

Other than the view from the lobby.. we were not pleased with our accommodations. The room temperature can't be turned below 68 degrees, the refrigerator in the room was broken so all of the food we had with us went bad. The bed was so bouncy it was like sleeping on a trampoline, The handicap rooms have a view of the cars waiting to get on the fairy. What they did to fix our complaints.. $40 refund.
