We have stayed at Monroe Motel a few times now. Always enjoy our stay. So peaceful, fun and a great get away. We travel from Oregon a 3 hour trip. I stayed in room 7 the last few times. They updated the carpets, drapes and shower curtains. It's so nice and inviting. Never any noise, so peaceful. No maintenance issues or housekeeping. Highly recommend. Matt the motel manager goes over and above.

We were in town for a wedding. Had made the reservations months before. Wonderful, quaint and clean. So peaceful.

If you're ever in the Monroe area stay with our friend Mathew. Our stay at the Monroe motel was every bit of amazing. We will definitely be back!

Overall was a nice place to stay. We had a room with two queen sized beds, a mini fridge tv and big bathroom. I would've felt more at ease if the rooms had a dead bolt lock on them, especially since we were out for most of the day. It was a little warm during our stay, they do provide fans for the rooms, but AC would have been nice. The first night we got there, there was hair all over our bed sheets but we didn't sleep under the blankets cause it was to hot. The maid was by the next day and changed them. The motel is right across from a trailer park but I didn't see or hear anyone. There was also a women staying in the next room who would smoke on the front steps and it would blow into our room. We will defiantly be back next drifting season!

He felt that that exception and his "exception" to cancel the reservation and not charge me for a late cancellation fee was generous. Mind you, I made that reservation 2 months before the cat show WITH a notation in comments I was bringing 2 cats, but whatever. Worst customer service all around from Sky Valley Inn AND BW Corporate. ************* I made a reservation on 5/3/23 for my stay on 7/1. I placed in the notation I was traveling with cats. I called on the hotel directly on 6/24 at 6:42 pm and confirmed they accepted cats and I was told yes. I was attending a cat show on 7/1 and received a call from the hotel at 2:30 pm, telling me unfortunately they don't accept cats. I told the gal I had called and confirmed and that I don't know if I can find a hotel tonight and wasn't wanting to drive home. She contacted her manager. Mr. Guzman called me and reiterates they don't accept cats and no one at his hotel would say others wise. I must have called the main reservation line. Basically saying I was a liar, a couple of different times! Then he said again, no cats but for this misunderstanding, he would allow it, if I paid a pet fee, the cats were to remain in cages 100% of their stay and then he added an extortionist fee in them of an addition hefty room deposit! Thank GOD the Evergreen Inn and Suites had a last minute room available. Pet friendly and cat show friendly!

Details below original review. --Original Review: Buyer beware - SHARED BATHROOMS- Hostel Amenities, Hotel Prices The listing details every amenity down to the heated mattress pad, tv channels and Alexa, but somehow omits: 1. Shared bathrooms with the family and all other guests 2. Internal wildlife: multiple resident teenagers, a toddler, multiple dogs, and cats 3. Other guests - their group, their pets, all of it The virtual tour/pictures weirdly avoids showing the vacant/occupied bathroom slider or clarifying that your private space is just the bedroom. Their website and guest communications appear to be written by ChatGPT, screenshot included. They also accidentally sent me another guest's conversation. That's the level of integrity at Grayson. All the fun of living with your mother-in-law, at hotel prices. Book a hotel for privacy. Camp at the ren faire field for the same amenities at an honest price. If you want a hostel and hostile experience - book Grayson. -- Additional Update: The review stands. The concerns are real. I booked 5 weekends for late July-Mid August 2026 on May 5th at 9:41 PM PST. Within 48 hours, I discovered through another review that bathrooms are shared - something not disclosed in your listing. I raised this with you on May 7th at 6:15 PM PST and requested a refund for the dates, two months in advance. To address the "Fake Content" claim, I have the following: 1. Booking confirmation and bank statements. 2. Our email exchanges, including your statement that "specific terminology doesn't matter" and a policy being unavailable/not existing doesn't change things. 3. Screenshots from your own virtual tour showing the shared bathroom vacancy slider - partially hidden by the door handle. * Bathroom photos you sent me that entirely hide the slider. 4. Screenshots from your virtual tour showing your pets roaming the indoor property 5. A screenshot you sent me of your own Wix inbox containing other clients' information, which I have redacted to protect their privacy and your own. These are screenshots taken from your own website/virtual tour and going to the website link you provided. Also not a vendor, just guest of renfaire. You did not give a raincheck, you did give half of the money back and the above reflects the experience of booking with you. Ren faire visitors and peak season travelers: book somewhere away from the hostile hostel.

On the night of the Bomb Cyclone 2024, we thought we could make the drive to Lake Wenatchee from the SeaTac. Airport but traffic was horrible and the inclement weather was not permitting! According to the Washington Department of Transportation webcam, our future drive thru Steven's Pass was a complete white out with 80 mph winds. While driving, we could hear the wind howling and discovered that a few trees were knocked over, we ran over two of them with our Dodge RAM. It was also getting dark ....so it was in our best interest to turn around or keep going and possibly get stranded or DIE. We ended up turning around in Skykomish and drove to Monroe. We stayed in the ONLY room available in the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in! Since all rooms were booked nearby and we were brain dead, this was our only option. The weather was only getting worse and we were exhausted, it was in our best interest to STOP driving! We stayed upstairs in room 202. Upon entering, my eyes immediately started watering, our room had the most putrid overwhelming smell. It was HORRIBLE! It literally smelled like baby diarrhea combined with the most unbearable floral potpourri. Both smells were equally bad. Aside from this, the carpet was super stained, the fire alarm was ripped out of the ceiling and the underside of the mattress was covered in what was once a puddle of blood and the bathroom door had holes where it was punched and kicked thru. In fact, even our front door looked like it had been kicked in at some point from the repair work done around the door knob. For all we know, that weird pungent diarrhea smell was the smell of the substantial amount of blood on the underside of our mattress (which I should also mention is a major BIOHAZARD that must break a number of health code violations). It's also possible that the gross floral smell x 10000 was obviously an attempt to cover up that smell. Every now and then my bf would start coughing and gagging bc the room smelled so gnarly. I literally could not even breathe thru my nose after an hour (which was a GOOD thing!) bc the potpourri smell was super toxic and full of chemicals! Also, we were awakened at 3am since our dog stood up and growled bc someone was looming in front of our door for 2-4 minutes! Pretty sure the fire alarm was ripped out from meth smoking. When my bf went to return our room key in the morning, he mentioned everyone in the joint looked like a character that hung out in the Crystal Palace in Breaking Bad. He said that a few of them were slamming coffee and hoarding bagels from the continental breakfast. Honestly, that was also not that big of a deal compared to the horror scene that was our mattress and the STANK of our room. I felt like our entire experience could have been a segment from the Hotel Season of American Horror Story. Unfortunately, I am not exaggerating ANYTHING.

There was no one there to greet us and looked like that they were still getting the dining room ready. The hostess did not come out until five minutes before seating time. I was kind of disappointed since this was supposed to be a special Easter brunch, but there was nothing to indicate that this was for Easter other than a few of the desserts. No Easter bunny, there are a couple Easter egg decorations on every table, but that was about it. Still, the ambience was good, a fancy brunch at a fancy hotel. The wait staff provided excellent service. The food was provided in a pretty good spread. The prime rib and the fresh oysters were probably the standout of the food. I don't know why they only have one person with two tiny hot plates to man the made to order station there for everyone. The family did like the desserts, they were very cute. My wife thought that they were too sweet, but that just means I like them a lot. All in all, it was a good brunch to experience once for a special occasion. No huge complaints here.

Brookside is the cheapest motel in Monroe at about $300.00 per week. I stayed there for about two months. A good portion of the residents had been there for some time and most all of them were friendly. The room I stayed in was facing the main roadway which was Route 2 and it was noisy from continual traffic. It took a little getting used too. The bathroom was super small and the lighting was not that good. I had to bring in a clip-on light in order to see while I was shaving. The TV was old and the programing was terrible. Internet access was bad so I had to use my hotspot on my iPhone to get internet access on my laptop. I spoke to the manager about it several times but he was unable to do anything about it. I believe it was because the room out front was not close enough to the router. Either way the internet service was poor. If your going to stay here bring your own pillows. The pillows were old and not that good. Also the bedding is not that good. To stay warm I had to use my sleeping bag as a comforter. Please don't get me wrong, you get what you pay for. One good thing is there is a washer/dryer on the premise, coin operated. The best thing about Brookside was the manager and the price. It's possible that some of the units in the middle or back may have been nicer or larger. The gas station next door has good coffee and plenty of convenience food. The motel is located close to everything in Monroe so getting around is easy. While there were drawbacks, I would stay there again.
