We got to start setting things up the night before, so the morning wasn't super crazy! Working with Kendra and Adrienne was superb! They are so kind and helpful making sure you have everything that you need, and all questions are answered. Kendra helped set up the weekend and every time we got to chat, she remembered all of our details and had the best suggestions for vendors and layouts. Adriene was there day of and helped answer last minute questions, located parking signage, and managed vendor questions with ease! The lodge made some recent upgrades so the ceremony and reception space (new tables and arch) was absolutely gorgeous! Check in/Check out is easy if you follow their list, and the flow of the wedding day was a breeze because everything was at the same place! Check-in was easy they simply asked for a voucher and then gave us the keys. There were quite a bit of people staying there so the side parking in front of the rooms were mainly taken but there was also plenty of parking in the front as well. The rooms were clean and surprisingly homy. The beds were also comfortable. A few questionable things like dark sheets and towels but who needs all white toiletries anyways? Overall we were happy with our stay here and would come back if we ever came back to the Cascades.

We booked over a year out and mentioned that we would be getting married that weekend and our entire wedding party were going to be staying there as well. We had issues from day one, my husband and I got to our room and noticed the bed had a visually noticeable dip on one side. When we laid on the bed it was lumpy and the springs of the mattress were no longer functioning properly. We called down to the front to ask for a different room or a different mattress. The woman running the front was very lovely and apologetic and told us that she would talk to the manager about what our next steps would be. The manager gave us two options 1. To cancel our reservation the night before our wedding 2. Suck it up and stay and sleep on a broken mattress and they would take $75 off our bill. Neither of these options seemed acceptable as this was the night before our wedding, so the front desk woman got creative and had us change rooms every night as the hotel was completely booked the entire weekend, but had guests that didn't stay the entire weekend. We are very grateful for the front desk staff as they were lovely. Next one of the groomsmen booked a double queen bed room for himself and another groomsmen, when they got to their room they discovered that they received a single king room. The hotel had no desire to fix their mistake, and our wedding party had to make it work amongst ourselves. Overall not worth the money, the rooms are mid at best. Some even had burn marks in the carpet. The elevator appears to be on its last leg.

The Hotel staff were helpful and friendly and the pool was great. Unfortunately the smell in the Hotel is very strong. The lobby and halls smell of heavy cleaning products and when we got to our room it was even stronger. There was also an underlying unpleasant smell of possibly smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The overall appearance of the hotel and rooms is very dated. I would hope a remodel is in the near future. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Many delicious options. We will use them again next year but hope some of the smell issues get worked out.

Sketchy long-term tenants loitering outside, doors open to trash-strewn rooms, and within five minutes of walking into ours, I found classic bedbug stains on the mattress. We left immediately. The front desk guy didn't seem surprised at all about the bedbugs and told us there were no refunds. We did a chargeback and got out. Absolutely do not recommend.

Anyway, overall the room is spacious. There's a big TV and it's got all the Roku stuff like Netflix, Hulu, and a bunch of channels. There's actually a decent refrigerator as well. Big for a room this size. Didn't try the microwave but it looks like it's in good shape. The bed...the bedspread is paper thin. Now, it's summertime but it was still cold last night. It's also got stains on it. The sheets were rough and not soft. The pillows are hard and lumpy. Inside there are paint marks, dings in the walls, actual mold in the corners, and just a feeling of "I don't care" when maintenance is being done. Let's talk about the bathroom. The toilet isn't secured to the floor. When taking showers this morning we found out that the floor isn't secured to the floor! Thought the unit it looks like they used that cheap peal and stick fake wood flooring. Not sure. I'm not a carpenter. Anyway, I'm always very careful not to get water outside the shower. However, the shower head is EXTREMELY high flow and was coming out at many gallons per minute. This was flying all over and soaking the thin, useless shower curtain and that was dripping all over the floor. I bought it in the shower, of course, but it didn't help. Not only was there water everywhere out side the shower but it got in the cheap floor boards and soaked all the way to the sink! This is likely why they were coming up to begin with last night. Anyway, it was looking like it would be a cute little motel in a cute little mountain town and it has every potential to be that. But, it's a dump and I need another show and probably some antibiotics. Oh, and we just bought a new car and the parking lot is NARROW. There were people milling around all night, including two women with latex gloves on at like 11pm. WTF? Anyway, at least the wifi isn't that terrible.

And Roni comes along during the day to take care of anything you need inside the room that may be missing or that you need more of. When I left, they were decorating for Halloween. The owner is incredibly sweet. Didn't get to meet her in person but all of our phone communication was great and she offered me so much great information about the area. The price was excellent for that location. Will definitely stay there again and I highly recommend!
