We paid over $150 for a night at Stevens Pass Motel expecting at least basic cleanliness. What we got instead felt more like a halfway house than a hotel. Sketchy long-term tenants loitering outside, doors open to trash-strewn rooms, and within five minutes of walking into ours, I found classic bedbug stains on the mattress. We left immediately. The front desk guy didn't seem surprised at all about the bedbugs and told us there were no refunds. We did a chargeback and got out. Absolutely do not recommend. read more

Can I give this zero stars? What a dump. We paid $110 for this! The pictures actually aren't that bad...well, on Hotels.com where I booked it. Should have looked on Yelp! Anyway, overall the room is spacious. There's a big TV and it's got all the Roku stuff like Netflix, Hulu, and a bunch of channels. There's actually a decent refrigerator as well. Big for a room this size. Didn't try the microwave but it looks like it's in good shape. The bed...the bedspread is paper thin. Now, it's summertime but it was still cold last night. It's also got stains on it. The sheets were rough and not soft. The pillows are hard and lumpy. Inside there are paint marks, dings in the walls, actual mold in the corners, and just a feeling of "I don't care" when maintenance is being done. Let's talk about the bathroom. The toilet isn't secured to the floor. When taking showers this morning we found out that the floor isn't secured to the floor! Thought the unit it looks like they used that cheap peal and stick fake wood flooring. Not sure. I'm not a carpenter. Anyway, I'm always very careful not to get water outside the shower. However, the shower head is EXTREMELY high flow and was coming out at many gallons per minute. This was flying all over and soaking the thin, useless shower curtain and that was dripping all over the floor. I bought it in the shower, of course, but it didn't help. Not only was there water everywhere out side the shower but it got in the cheap floor boards and soaked all the way to the sink! This is likely why they were coming up to begin with last night. Anyway, it was looking like it would be a cute little motel in a cute little mountain town and it has every potential to be that. But, it's a dump and I need another show and probably some antibiotics. Oh, and we just bought a new car and the parking lot is NARROW. There were people milling around all night, including two women with latex gloves on at like 11pm. WTF? Anyway, at least the wifi isn't that terrible. read more

Never stay at that motel. I knew it was not the best. It was clean and I could walk to my sons house. I knew they had people that lived there. People with issues. Had stayed there before without problems. Not this time. A guest complained about the TV. Started banging on my door. Also the manager. I didn't know it was the manager. The rooms have no phones. I tried calling the office and no one picked up. He demanded to be let in. So very scary. I called 911. The police came the so called manager disappeared. Called my son. Packed and left. If you wanna get a good night sleep you don't want to stay here.. There was druggies in the parking lot and nodding off in front of our room on the balcony.. the bathroom was scary, there was no toilet paper, shampoo or conditioner. There was gold fish Crackers on the floor and a scum ring inside the toilet that was breeding.. The beds were badly sprung, It was cold, they had thin sheets for bedding.. With the loud patrons outside the bar downstairs, the police cars running up and down the highway and the trains coming every hour it was one of our worst weekends away ever! read more

This was a last minute trip and booking, we paid $100. Which is astronomically overpriced for the accommodations. Location was good, but kinda unsettling in how ghetto it was. Normally we kinda enjoy the older janky motels but this was a S*** hole! Cops were called in because of the tweaked out ppl squatting in the room next to ours. The furniture was just gross. The nicest thing in the room one the clock on the wall. And that wasn't even working. It was a bigger room. And has potential. They could fully refurnish for free from stuff online. I stayed here during two trips across Stevens Pass. The rooms are very clean. Everything is spotless. There is kitchen service and cable tv. I wish negative stars was an option. What a disaster. After booking a room online, we arrive to the office, where we were greeted by the man working there several minutes after ringing the doorbell to be let it. After some small talk, payment time came. We had each used our own credit card's before arriving at the motel, and they both worked. Here, they were declined each time he tried. First, he was inserting the card with the chip on the outside, then swiping them, and claiming it was our cards, not his handheld card reader. When we asked if he could manually type in the digits on the card (as majority of these card readers are able to do), he ignored our question, and sent us to the ATM on the property. Since our cards were not the issue, withdrawing cash was no problem. The ATM, on the other hand, shoots the money out directly on the ground. If you aren't speedy or paying attention, you might lose more money than you already are by paying to stay at this place. We return within a few minutes to pay and get the key. The man is no longer at the front desk. We ring the bell on the desk at least 6 times with no luck. We both call "HELLO" loudly, as we can hear him in a back room with a TV on and talking with some of the guests that live at the motel. After waiting 5 minutes, I go back to ring the doorbell on the OUTSIDE of the office. STILL didn't come to the front desk. We are about to make a phone call to the front desk (While standing right there) just to get him to come back and help us. He tried to brush it off, and was quite surprised to see that our "declined" cards were able to get cash out of the ATM. We finally get the room key, and are on our way. We had seen the photos posted online for this motel, and felt it would be more than okay for that night. Unfortunately, the photos posted online are quite different than the reality. Cheap blinds with pieces missing allows for people from the OUTSIDE to peer in through the window. A curtain rod with no curtain. Stains on the carpet. Dirty walls. Everything felt dirty in that room. The only positive was the oscillating fan. The sink/mirror combo that's outside of the bathroom has a soap and lotion dispenser, both empty. The furniture is dingy and beat up. The top lock (deadbolt) did not work. Nothing felt clean. Not only was this dump was a waste of money, the man running the show is unprofessional and disorganized. This place is very, very poorly managed. In fact I would say these people don't know anything about making people comfortable. It was 25 degrees out and ice everywhere you walked, nothing was salted or shoveled out for safe paths even the stairs were very scary. The room had no heat, no TV that worked. We complained so they brought a space heater that popped the breaker off. The Styrofoam coffee cups had holes in them as if used before. My sister and I recently stayed at this motel and had one of the worst experiences ever. Among other things: Many things in the room were broken such as drawer knobs, moulding around doors and windows, tile. The bedding was questionable. Walls were so thin that the people next door shook our bed when they made contact with their wall. There was no closet in which to hang clothes. In general, the room was old and dingy and in great need of remodeling. Our neighbors were loud, used abusive language and were disruptive from 10:30 pm to 6 am. We were unable to get help from the manager since this was outside office hours. Unable to sleep all night, we finally left early the next morning. First the pros: this place has reasonable rates, the front desk was relatively polite when it was staffed, and there were some nice views of the mountains from my window. Now while I was expecting modest accommodations for the price, I was pretty unhappy with the lack of care they seem to take of this place. 1. The WIFI password in the book was wrong. When we got the up to date password, the connection was weak and could not connect to one internet site, so it was pretty much useless. 2. The room was not filthy, but it wasn't very clean, either. There was random stuff in the drawers including what looked like a drug baggie. Although it's non-smoking there was a cigarette butt on the floor. Under the mini fridge were crumbs which our dog kept going for. The bathroom tile looked dirty. 3. There was no coffee pot in the room even though there was coffee and tea to make. I didn't realize this until the morning, and I couldn't get a hold of anyone at the front desk from ringing the bell or calling the phone number. Also a heads up about pets - while on the web site it claims there is a 10 dollar per night deposit, when you get to the front desk you'll find out it is actually a flat fee. I don't mind paying the fee, but they shouldn't call it a deposit if you don't get it back. All in all this would be an alright place to stay in a pinch, which is close to a lot of activities, but you should be skeptical of all the amenities that they advertise. read more

We were charged $85 for one night. I swear the owners went to every dumpster in the Sky Valley they could find for the beds, blankets, sheets, and furniture. No, I'm not kidding! They don't even try to make it nice looking, no doubt, getting their design knowledge from Homeless Digest. The frigid floors are concrete covered in broken tile probably from the 70s, and a tiny little heater took all night long to warm the room up on a snowy, windy night. It's worth driving west 15 more minutes to get a decent motel room in Monroe or Sultan. I've stayed in many hotels and motels and hands down this was THE WORST ever. read more

We went to Stevens pass for snowboarding on MLK Day and called around 15 other hotels that were all booked for the weekend and we were happy that this place had a room available. However, when we arrived the ladies at the check in desk were a little confused on sales tax and the price they were going to charge us.. We called ahead of getting there, they said it would be $160 for two nights but then kept asking each other what the total price for said room, so I reminded them we called and they said $160, just a little strange. We got into our room and started unpacking, only to notice there was no television, again just a bit strange. I asked them and they said a manager had just quit so they had no idea it was even missing and they fixed it right away. Staff was friendly enough but the place could definitely be spruced up a bit. The Mexican restaurant across the parking lot was pretty good, so that's a bonus. read more

Like another reviewer, I'm puzzled by the bad reviews. The descriptions don't sound anything like the room we had. I wonder if there are new owners, or they've done some remodeling? Or maybe because we were on the second floor over the Mexican restaurant? Anyway, our room was quite nice - nicer than you would expect from the outside of the place. The beds were super comfortable with nice pillows and comforters, there was decent carpeting, and everything was clean. There was a kitchenette with a full-size fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker (but no dishes). And it was surprisingly quiet considering the train tracks across the street. I'm a light sleeper and the only time I heard a train was when I had just wakened on my own anyway, and even then it wasn't very loud at all. I doubt I'll ever be in the area again, but if I were, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Honestly, this place is way better than some Days Inn and Super 8 motels I've stayed in. read more

I'm so confused by the other reviews. Unfortunately I avoided staying here in the past because the reviews. But with a last minute trip to the pass this was our only option. So here's my opinion... For a motel, this place is a 5 star motel. Maybe there are new owners or maybe they remodeled since the other reviews, but our room is squeaky clean even the carpets look new! Probably the cleanest motel carpets I have ever seen. Either way a smoking good deal for $90 for a double with a kitchenette. Full size fridge, microwave, clean bathroom and no exaggerating... 1000 channels on tv. I will definitely stay here again! read more

We had reservations for November 4th and 5th. We arrived on the 4th to signs saying back soon and call 425-422-*****. I Called the office and the other number and got no answer and left a message on the office phone. We have family in town so we went to see them. They called the Bar/Restaurant and the person who answered said there was a mix-up and we wouldn't have a room that night. We had to back track towards Monroe to get a room. . Whatever the mix-up was this is no way to run a business. At the least a sign should have been posted stating the situation. If we had not had family in town who were aware of another number to call we could have been sitting there waiting for hours. The best case situation would have been someone calling those with reservations explaining that rooms would not be available as soon as the mix-up was discovered. read more

This is possibly the worst motel I have ever stayed at. Dirty. Bare light bulbs. Internet doesn't work. Surly guy at desk, who charged more than what Travelocity had confirmed. Stayed here a couple of times, because of the cheap price. But I gotta say that this place has very poor service and manager is very rude and pounds on the door loudly and rudely. They also have no phones or alarm clocks in the room, how am I supposed to get a wake up call to be up before checkout? Place is very dirty and it has mostly people living in the units, rather than renting for a couple of days. Doesn't seem very sanitary on that note. I will no longer be staying here, I'd rather throw my money in the river than return back to this tweaker/hooker environment. read more

I wished I would have checked on reviews before trying to stay here. They have never replied to any out of 3 emails for reservations. When I was finally able to make a reservation for room 6, the indian guy could barely speak english and over charged me for a filthy, ant infested, hair all over the pillows and bedding, stained towels, and the best part, was the bar next door had their door opened til almost 1 am with echo loud karaoke blasting us. This was last weekend, end of march. The bar fighting in the parking lot was quieter than the crappy karaoke. Someone had jiggled our door knob twice around 2-3 am. People at the diner for breakfast said they get broke into by junkies all the time. Don't quote me, but I think they have bed bugs as I was eaten up. I had heard good things about them a year back, but after my night from hell and paying over $80 for my husband and daughter, NEVER AGAIN! read more
