    Exterior - about 14 rooms

I stayed two nights here due to last minute work. The bldg is from the 60s but the rooms have been remodeled inside. There are about 14-15 rooms. My room was very clean and organized. The nights were quiet no rowdy people. Parking infront of rooms. The Korean pretty lady who runs the place is friendly and a hard worker. She keeps the place well maintained.

Here is a pretty awesome motel than I expected! There is a Clean bathroom and room. First of all, there is super quiet and fresh air. I recommend it here if you are looking for a motel in concrete, like the clean hotel. And I love the owners who operate and manage this motel. They are really kind and lovely. They check what I need frequently. So, the basic shampoos, conditioners, and body washers never run out while staying in that room. And this motel was remodeled and redecorated recently. That's why I recommend you guys use this motel. It was a special time while staying here. Thanks for their good service. Thanks, Kate and John! I'll stop by there if I plan another travel to that place again.

This is our favorite place to stay in Concrete! Always super super clean and quiet. Cozy rooms, wonderfully fluffy pillows.

Stayed here a few weeks ago. It was clean and quiet. Dog friendly. The new owners also own the Korean restaurant next door.

Ok, we decided it was worth the adventure of a cheap motel, and certainly, I've stayed in worse…read more Hands down, though, Eagles Nest Motel in Concrete WA is the ugliest room ever. It's almost a parody of itself. Paper-thin walls and ill-fitting doors brought the outdoors in, highway noise "and all." The mini-fridge was warm. There was no coffee, and the plastic disposable cups tasted like the bar soap they sat next to. The clock was off by many hours, if it worked at all. There was a certain random artistry to the generous white paint splotches on the wood-stained trim and doorknobs. The broad collection of artwork was absolutely resistible, especially the eagle prints in our room that were $100 each or $375 for the trio. Yep, $75 more for the set than to buy each print separately. When we asked to use a bottle opener, we were pointed to purchase an unbelievably tacky Indian beaded one for $15. We decided it was cheaper to head down the road and buy something that didn't require an opener. It was. Warm, relatively clean room on a cold day with a comfortable bed, a tv and a mish-mash of well beyond slightly used tasteless 60s furniture... worth $55+tax? Not sure. For being a good sport able to giggle (a lot) at this place, hubby said he owes me one. I plan to take him up on it!

Ahh, Whispering Firs. A tale of two sides, if there ever was one. My wife and I stayed here…read morerecently and had some very good experiences and thoughts...but also had some very negative things as well. We had originally booked two nights, but because of the negatives we ended up staying just the first night and checked-out early. Here's the tale of the tape: The Good: - Linda and Vic (the innkeepers) are very nice. Extremely friendly and easy to talk to, Linda made us feel at home straightaway and was great company and conversation during breakfast. - Speaking of, the food was really good. We had blueberry cream cheese pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Along side juice, fruit, and coffee/tea. Linda was also very accommodating toward dietary concerns too. - The property and view is gorgeous! Located up on a mountain area, Whispering Firs overlooks the valley and you can even see the Sound and Whidbey Island. - The house itself is warm, comfortable, and inviting. There's a beautiful deck on the backside that it multi-tiered and has a walking path around little ponds. This would be great for entertaining and lounging. The Bad: - To get there, you have to drive up a half-mile gravel road that is full of potholes and bumps. It's narrow and not something that a regular car can navigate quickly. Wish we had a 4x4 vehicle. - The bed in our room (the North Suite) was way too high. It sounds weird to say that, but at roughly 3 feet high, it was a struggle for my 8 month pregnant wife to literally climb in and out of. - There were no curtains on the windows...just blinds that didn't block out all of the light and sight lines. So, there was a big lack of privacy seeing as the windows looked out onto the deck. - This room is located right next to the breakfast room, so it is extremely loud in the mornings. Breakfast is normally served at 8:30, but our morning had a group that wanted to eat at 7:00. That meant at 6:30 things got rolling on the other side of the wall and we heard it all. Neither Good nor Bad, Just Depends on You Point of View: - There is a large collection of stuffed animals (the taxidermy type) throughout the house and bedrooms. A hunter's paradise...so may not be up your alley. All in all, this could be a lovely place to stay; but it just didn't suite us and fit our needs. For someone else, it might be perfect. In this review, I'm simply wanting you to be better informed that I was. Hope it helps.
