Though it had a nice view and beautiful building with history on the walls we mainly came for a place for lunch. And was disappointed. The food was ok but this star is for the lack of service. The wait was long and the server left us another thankfully came an offered more watered down coffee. We had very simple orders. Friendly staff, rooms are clean and updated. Rooms was spacious and great local coffee offered. Only very minor complaint would be the chair for the desk was way too low. And no room service with four restaurants in the casino there. That just gave me a chance to get out and see the town and try a new restaurant. Definitely will be back! read more

This is your average 2 star hotel if it weren't attached to the casino a didn't have the bay behind it. I'm going with 3 stars because the view is pretty even though you have to look past the RV park. The beds are comfortable however a double room is double fulls not queens. You do have several options available for food and they are open late due to being connected to the casino. Cleanliness is about that of a two star hotel and right now especially that part is concerning. read more

This review is for the RV park. We stayed here four nights to explore the parks and little towns around Anacortes. Full hookups, great water pressure, perfectly level gravel pads, grassy area for each spot. No wood fires, propane fire pits ok. A great location for visiting state parks, and we took the Chuckanut scenic drive to Bellingham, just beautiful. Note: there are no facilities here (laundry, showers, bathrooms) so you must be self-contained. read more

They get 5 stars for sure! Rooms were perfect and exceptionally clean. Beds were comfy and the desk was really nice to set up two separate laptops and work with the sliding glass window overlooking the Channel. Staff was friendly and on point, they like everyone else in the hospitality business appeared short on staff. You wouldn't know it by how clean friendly they all were. We held a conference here and that also was on point with the food, staff, and meeting areas! We will definitely be back to host another conference here again. read more

We stayed here for a quick overnight. We had a king room with the bay view on the third floor. I liked the sliding glass window opening out onto the view. Nice touch. The room was clean and well appointed. The bed and pillows were comfortable and had no odors of staleness. One thing I noticed is the smell of stale cigarettes. I know this is a non smoking room and the casino is also non smoking so I couldn't account for it. It didn't ruin my stay but I thought I should mention it. One thing I noticed is it was very quiet there. Could have been because it was a Thursday but I was glad. I needed some quiet anyway. Even though two trains went by headed to the refinery it only enhanced our experience. We could hear the workings of the railroad bridge as it moved into position which the little kid in me was thrilled to see. The price was reasonable as well. We will be back. read more

Casino closed early, and basically got kicked out! It felt like Covid hours, with a good kick in the pants, I will not ever return.

Did a one night stay here to try it out, probably won't stay again. It was nice and peaceful by the bay but not enough to stay again. We got there and was able to check in early. when we got to the room, the bathroom slightly smelled like sewage. found that the toilet wouldn't flush so we called the front desk to get maintenance up to check it out. maintenance came up and said that they had to replace something in the tank. we went downstairs to use the bathroom and to check out the casino. the casino we found was too small. from the time we contacted front desk to when we were done with casino it had been 3 hours. that is how long it took for them to fix the toilet. everyone was nice and friendly but i wish they could have moved us to another room or gave us a discount for the inconvenience. read more

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. I deducted one star because we were quoted and emailed a price of $270 for two nights, but was charged $298 upon arrival. We were told the difference was tax. Wasn't explained why it wasn't disclosed on our quote. read more

We love this hotel. The view from the Bay Room is amazing. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are always clean. Every room has a fridge, water bottles and a Keurig machine. The casino is fun! They usually have really good entertainment such as live bands. The staff is very friendly, they have a amazing restaurant upstairs called 13 moons. It is our favorite place to go to get away for a night or the weekend. Anacortes is close by and you can jump on a ferry and go to the san juans. Doesn't get much better than that. We usually win at least something so that is always nice! The swin, as we call it, is our number one choice!! read more

I stayed the night here in June on my way to Friday harbor and was pleased with my stay. They have I think 3 places to eat, one a sports bar is where I had some food and a few beers. It was a sports bar so the food wasn't awesome but i think it's better than most and enjoyed the quesadilla I had. They had a lot of tvs and sports stuff on the walls, with a descent beer list. The hotel room itself was very nice. The bathroom was pretty large and the bed looked clean and was comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again anytime I'm in the area. There is also a gas station and fireworks sold (in opposite directions) in what seemed to be extended parts of the hotels parking lot. Everything you need In One place. read more

After looking for hours for a hotel that didn't cost an arm and a leg I ran across this one. I was skeptical since I have spent time in tahoe casino hotels and there is nothing to write home about when it comes to those. Also with two kids in tow I was afraid the smell of smoke might congest them. Last but not least I had read the yelp reviews for this place and was beginning to doubt what we had in store. As we arrive we noticed alot of construction and wondered what this meant. We entered the main lobby and our jaws dropped!! This place is gorgeous and everything looks brand new. As we check in we are informed that the hotel has not even been open for a week. I was getting excited! They sent us to our room and words can not describe how amazing this room is. Everything is so beautiful. Granite countertops glass enclosed shower and a keurig coffee pot!! We enjoyed lunch in the two salmon cafe. We chose the buffet and kids eat free! And I must say the buffet food was amazing! Tender roast, pasta, salad, and ice cream. The kids ate their food and us parents left with happy faces!! My very biggest hotel pet peeve: NO SLEEP TIMER ON THE TV! Who the hell equips a hotel room with TVs that don't have a sleep timer? Other than that, a nice, newer finishes, clean room. Quiet HVAC system which is always a plus. Roomy desk to spread out for business travelers like me. The Keurig coffee maker is a nice touch. I was a little worried about the railroad tracks others mention but, the one train that I saw go by was going very slow and didn't blow the whistle. If there was any trains that went by at night, I sure didn't know about it. Room service would be nice. Unlike a lot of 'I quit smoking' snobs, I still like the smell of a cigarette. I crave one every day. That said, I couldn't handle the only casino area with table games. The smoke free area is slots only. Maybe I am one of those snobs! Anyway, it was just too much. read more

We stayed for 2 days at the new lodge and had a great time! The staff were so friendly and helpful in the hotel and the casino. The food was good, the drinks were right on and the best part for us? Two count them two poker tournaments a day and the buy-ins were so reasonable that we both played in both tournaments. The poker room was well run and the games were friendly. There is a small RV camp ground right on the Fidalgo Bay behind the lodge. Short walk to the entrance so we might try that soon, although the rooms were so nice and comfortable and everyone that works there was so accommodating and the price was so reasonable that I think I'll probably just stay at the lodge. We had dinner one night at the 13 Moons restaurant so I'll write a review for that, I just want to say that it was wonderful, prices were good, food was fantastic and the service was over the top. First stay at the lodge. Honestly, wouldn't come back. The room is decent and it was clean... inside. We had a bay view room that when you opened the doors, the balcony looked like a haunted house with the amount of spider webs. Went to 13Moons to get dessert 30 minutes before they closed and we were told the kitchen was already shut down. We asked if we could have a slice of cake to take to our room and the hostess told us each slice is baked fresh and they already shut the oven off. It's a slice from a large cake in the fridge! Her attitude was beyond appalling. Beyond the amazing front desk manager, there is absolutely nothing special about this place and I wouldn't bother staying here. read more

Don't know why this has gotten so many seemingly negative reviews. We stay in the lodge quite often, get a room with a walk out balcony, the view is wonderful and the rooms are very nice. We have great meals at 13 Moons though it is pricey. On a nice day get a drink and lighter dinner on the deck, good prices. The hamburger special in the Sports Bar is very good. We have won and we have lost here, not much different than any other casino. I haven't noticed the smoking as a real problem but there is a non smoking section. It's typical, they need to learn though cheep food brings people in. A 23$ buffet (that pretty much empty) and 12$ sandwiches in the sports bar is not cheap. Angles OTW casino has some great food for 5$ and under. You do get 2 free bottle of water in the room, but whats that worth, 2$ ? One complaint is their wifi blocks my remote access programs, so I can't connect to my computers at work from their hotel. One the plus side the room are pretty clean and upto date. But no microwave, only fridge, they want you to go down to the casino each time your hungry. read more

My mate received a coupon in the mail (her birthday month) for one free night stay at the casino lodge, we live local so we decided to use one of her days off to try out the hotel with our child (8 years), figuring that while the little one and I were playing in the pool, my mate could go and relax in the casino. We were told that it was best to check in between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm so we showed up at 1:30 pm and wound up having to wait for our room to be ready. We were offered (each) a complimentary bottle of warm water for the wait. Around 1:50 pm we were informed that the room was ready, so we checked in. We were excited about cooling off in the swimming pool after the bottle of warm water, but the front dest informed us that...they didn't have a swimming pool. Our child was very sad about that, I tried to cheer up the little one by suggesting a splash in the bathtub...the front desk informed us that the room ... didn't have a bathtub. We asked if there was a hot tub or jaccuzi, ... but the front desk said, only in certain suites, not in our room. So, we checked in... after all, it was a free room.. we could find something to do. The room was freshly cleaned and everything looked ..okay. But after asking around, there really wasn't ANYTHING for kids to do. We spent about 30 minutes thinking about it and decided to check out and just come home. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO BRING YOUR KIDS (anyone under gambling age). There isn't even a bathtub in the room for the little one to splash in. Sad excuse for a hotel. For a "free room", I would describe it as yelp does with 2 stars "Meh. I've experienced better." only because I wasn't able to find anything really wrong with the room. Otherwise, I would give it only 1 star. The artwork in the room appeared original and native style, but clearly was production work done with a sharpie and colored markers, perhaps by a skilled Native American child. The room felt small but probably because it was so darkly designed. Though the king size bed looked okay... after the trip and 30 minutes, it really wasn't worth staying in. So we came home. This isn't a place for a family to get away with their kids because there simply isn't anything for children to do AT ALL. It is probably easier on their insurance budget this way though, no pools, no play area, no bathtubs...but then, they have to resort to giving away free passes to rooms that people don't stay in. Something seriously wrong about that. If you are retired and hate children or just want to get away with your partner...you might really enjoy this. But don't count on the room being "free", with so little else to do besides gamble, I imagine you will wind up depositing much of your money at the casino. read more

The hotel was very comfortable and pleasant. The staff were great and went out of their way to be kind and helpful. One front desk staff person even wrote down a list of recommendations for me (like places to eat) while I was in the area. It's also nice that they have a small and inexpensive cafe in the lobby. This is a review for the lodge only. No complaints at all with our stay. The room was exceptionally clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. I loved the large bathroom with tons of counter space, and really appreciated the in-room Keurig, numerous electrical outlets, and body-length mirror... it's the little things :) WiFi was a little on the slow side, but served the purpose. The staff was exceptionally polite and accommodating, no issues at all when we inquired about early check-out (due to a schedule change with the rest of our travels). Very nice hotel. The check-in experience was wonderful. We reserved 5 rooms and each were very clean and new with lots of toiletries. Had late night snacks at the Sports Bar and all were good. Brutal experience! Will never go back! Drove 2.5 hours after working all day only to find they had over booked the hotel and didn't have a room for us. The teenager who was left in charge to run the hotel was so unhelpful and obviously doesn't know anything about customer service. She barely apologized. Clearly she has never checked into a hotel before and doesn't realize what it's like to find out you don't have a room as planned. Said they would put us in the motel down the road, and we could shuttle back to the casino to spend our money. Really? Yup. We walked out and went to skagit valley casino where they were very happy to have our business and our gaming money. If I could give this hotel (who over booked because of Expedia ( yup that's who she blamed) even though we booked direct) a negative score, I would have. Shame on you Swinomish !!
