A True Oasis After Work! "Spent two weeks here for work and…read moreabsolutely loved it. The host is lovely and makes you feel right at home. The grounds are incredibly pretty and peaceful--watching the hosts tend to the gardens and feed the chickens was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day. My room was a total restful oasis, and the sleep was amazing. Plus, the area feels incredibly safe and secure, so there was zero worry about my car. The perfect blend of convenience and country charm!"

SHARED BATHROOMS - Listing not what it seems!…read more May 15, 2026 Update: Google doesn't share the edit history from business responses, so I've added screenshots from The Grayson as additional pictures for context. To be clear: the review is valid, and I did do business with you. To address the latest claims: 1. You publicly posted a customer's full name in your response. Throughout my documentation I took care to redact your name, your clients' names, email addresses, and open tabs, including when you sent me an unsolicited, unredacted screenshot of your Wix inbox displaying multiple customers' full names, which I redacted to protect them. Please remove the full name from your response. 2. You accuse me of being a well-known ren faire vendor. I'm not. I'm just a guest who enjoys the faire. 3. You accuse me of stealing photos from another reviewer. They're not stolen. They are screenshots from your own publicly accessible virtual tour and an email you sent me directly. I combined them into a single image for clarity, but have included them separately below where your virtual tour URL is visible at the top. Original Review: Buyer beware - SHARED BATHROOMS- Hostel Amenities, Hotel Prices The listing details every amenity down to the heated mattress pad, tv channels and Alexa, but somehow omits: 1. Shared bathrooms with the family and all other guests 2. Internal wildlife: multiple resident teenagers, a toddler, multiple dogs, and cats 3. Other guests - their group, their pets, all of it The virtual tour/pictures weirdly avoids showing the vacant/occupied bathroom slider or clarifying that your private space is just the bedroom. Request a refund and you'll be told "specific terminology doesn't matter" - while they reference a policy page that returns a 404 error. Their website and guest communications appear to be written by ChatGPT, screenshot included. They also accidentally sent me a screenshot of their business inbox containing other guests' information. That's the level of integrity at Grayson. All the fun of living with your mother-in-law, at hotel prices. Book a hotel for privacy. Camp at the ren faire field for the same amenities at an honest price. If you want a hostel and hostile experience - book Grayson. Additional Update - May 14th 2026: The review stands. The concerns are real. I booked 5 weekends for late July through Mid August 2026 on May 5th at 9:41 PM PST. Within 48 hours, I discovered through another review that bathrooms are shared - something not disclosed in your listing. I raised this with you on May 7th at 6:15 PM PST and requested a refund for the dates, two months in advance. To address the "Fake Content" claim, I have the following: 1. Booking confirmation and bank statements. 2. Our email exchanges, including your statement that "specific terminology doesn't matter" and a policy being unavailable/not existing doesn't change things. 3. Screenshots from your own virtual tour showing the shared bathroom vacancy slider - partially hidden by the door handle. * Bathroom photos you sent me that entirely hide the slider. 4. Screenshots from your virtual tour showing your pets roaming the indoor property. 5. A screenshot of your own Wix inbox containing other clients' information, which you sent to me unsolicited and which I redacted to protect their privacy. These are screenshots taken from your own website/virtual tour using the link you provided. Also not a vendor, just a guest of renfaire. You did not give a raincheck, you did give half of the money back and the above review reflects the experience of booking with you. Ren faire visitors and peak season travelers: book somewhere away from the hostile hostel.

I had fries and rose in the fireside lounge, I had champagne and Fran's chocolates in the bathtub in my room, and I had barking frog room service for breakfast. There was no one there to greet us and looked like that they were still getting the dining room ready. The hostess did not come out until five minutes before seating time. I was kind of disappointed since this was supposed to be a special Easter brunch, but there was nothing to indicate that this was for Easter other than a few of the desserts. No Easter bunny, there are a couple Easter egg decorations on every table, but that was about it. Still, the ambience was good, a fancy brunch at a fancy hotel. The wait staff provided excellent service. The food was provided in a pretty good spread. The prime rib and the fresh oysters were probably the standout of the food. I don't know why they only have one person with two tiny hot plates to man the made to order station there for everyone. The family did like the desserts, they were very cute. My wife thought that they were too sweet, but that just means I like them a lot. All in all, it was a good brunch to experience once for a special occasion. No huge complaints here.

The tree houses are so quaint and relaxing. The property is 420 friendly, so it was awesome to be able to smoke in the tree house, by the fire pit, even in the lounge while getting our snacks/drinks from the fridge. This space feels very cozy and more community-oriented than something like a hotel or air BnB. Pretty close to town, so easy to access anything you might need within a 10-15min drive. The animals on the property were all so precious and calm and curious about us. This was just such an awesome experience and stay! Highly recommend to people who are 420 enthusiasts, chill/relaxed mindset, looking for a quiet and calm stay, and love the outdoors. Not a good place if you're looking for luxury and a high-end boutique stay. But so incredible if you're into nature, want to toke in the trees, and appreciate and revel in the little beauties of life.
