Lovely within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Langley. Well appointed, quaint, and very clean. The bathrooms have been updated, which was nice. Rooms are ample in size. The vegetarian breakfast that's included with your stay is absolutely delicious, everything freshly prepared. The quiche and potatoes were hot, the cut fruit was cold, and the muffins had to be made not long before we sat down. The porch on the front of the property is lovely for sitting and enjoying the morning sun with loved ones or friends. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. When we pulled in to the parking lot, there was a deer standing there waiting to greet us. read more

We stayed at the Saratoga Inn for the 2025 Mystery Weekend. What a lovely treat. Jason, the proprietor, took immediate note of our names, remembered my avocado allergy, was chatty about our interests and connection to the Mystery Weekend and was so gracious. Their public spaces allowed room for us to engage in crafts, reading, tea-drinking, and mystery-solving. They have EV charging, offered space to hang to guests in town for the mystery weekend but who werent staying over on Sunday night, and provided an amazing 4:00 PM wine tasting and snack opportunity open to all. We will absolutely stay there next time we're back in Langley! read more

Oh my! What a fantastic stay we had at Sartoga Inn. The rooms are amazing with a nice warm fireplace. Our room had a peek-a-boo view of the water and was just beautiful. I cannot say enough about the staff who provided excellent customer service that made you feel right at home. The breakfast the next morning was the best of the best. We were so pleasantly surprised that it was all vegetarian which was perfect. The breakfast had many amazing choices and even for those of you that usually eat meat, you will feel like you were eating at a first- class restaurant. This is my go to place when we go to Whidbey! I absolutely love every aspect of this place, the location, the charm, the porch, the robes, the view!!! We will always come back and tell others about this incredible find. I only have two gripes from our most recent visit this March: *The heater/fan/air conditioning unit is intermittently loud, even when it should not be on. I am a super light sleeper and woke to this unit cycling on several times through the night. *The new breakfast structure absolutely breaks my heart. I loved the served breakfast with all the muffins, fruit and hot dishes; the whole experience was impeccable. I was so disappointed to learn they moved to a continental/buffet serve yourself setup and the options were just not even close to the quality of our last two stays--it was a big downgrade from our prior experiences and to be honest, once we realized, we skipped it and ate elsewhere. I understand the time and staff resources may not be there and that makes it really hard to keep up with the service, but I'd highly recommend looking into warmed chafing dishes and steering clear of buffet items that do not hold up well sitting out (like avocado toast). Bring back the muffins and quiches!! read more

Relaxed, warm and completely at home; that's how we felt when we stayed at the Saratoga Inn recently. We've wanted to stay there for years; we regret it took us so long. These folks really understand hospitality. The building is beautiful, well kept and upscale but comfortable. Our room was perfect; the bed was the kind you want to stay in all day--in front of that nice gas fireplace in your room looking out at the water. Furnishings are quality and tasteful. We felt the room was a good size and the price was great. The breakfast served in the morning was great; a very tasty artichoke and sundries tomato strata with fresh fruit, coffee cake and juice at no charge. With a nice level of music in the background, this is a place that makes you want to linger longer. The staff was just as professional, warm and gracious as the surroundings. Because the Inn is just a one block stroll from Langley's main downtown district, the only question is how soon we can return. When the weather warms, that great wrap around deck overlooking the water and the many local bunnies hopping by will be an easy reason to come back. Please note--while we were there a poor gentleman arrived to check in, only to discover he had booked his room at the Saratoga Inn in California.... Double check your location before you book to make sure you are booking WA and not CA or NY! read more

My husband proposed to me 3 years ago on Whidbey Island at a cute VRBO. We happened to be in WA celebrating my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. After those festivities were done we had to go back to the Island that had so much meaning to us. Due to Covid a lot of the VRBOs, including ours, was closed. My husband found Saratoga Inn and we thought we would try it out. Absolutely adorable! The people so friendly. Janet was super friendly and made us feel like we were at home. She was so welcoming and accommodating. The chef made the most delicious breakfast and was so sweet. And the manager was so sweet and talked to us about our trip. The room was decent. We had our own balcony which was a plus. The breakfast is very limited, all vegan based so no meat which was a bummer. I have never written a negative review, but had to share to help others avoid this place: The Innkeepers are extremely rude, negative, and judgmental. They asked us to leave because my 16 yr old daughter got chocolate on a chair. She told us we got chocolate on a chair in the library. My daughter assumed the room with shelves of books was the library and told me she hadn't been in that room. So, I told the woman my daughter didn't go in that room. She passive aggressively snapped back, " I literally saw them on the security camera get chocolate on the chair." So the room without books is the library and indeed my daughter did get chocolate accidentally on a chair with food that was served in that room. We also moved a dining chair less than one foot over to accommodate a table of 3 and the woman sprinted over with her pursed face to exclaim, " We do not move furniture!" She was on the attack at all times. The creepy husband and asked me to step outside with him one on one to ask for us to leave the inn. I have to reiterate we were friendly, pleasant, quiet, smiling guests the whole time. Perhaps he's had other guests shout and yell at him, so wanted to ensure the other guests weren't disturbed. I didn't stand up for myself because my jaw was on the floor. I was too shocked to know how to respond. Additionally, the innkeepers were charging the incorrect cc which they said was my fault. I don't have a cc ending in the numbers they were trying. Instead of trying to figure it out with me, they told me I didn't have enough money to stay there. So there I was with my 2 daughters on our first day of summer vacation and no place to stay.(Thousands of miles from home) We pieced together 6 nights at different hotels and created a wonderful vacation in spite of being kicked out of the Saratoga inn on our first day. The woman is hateful and spiteful and I still can't wrap my head around the ugliness she spewed at us. I paid $385 to be harassed by this awful couple. Avoid them at all costs. By the way- she got the chocolate off the chair easily. I do highly recommend Captain Whidbey Inn, Ship Harbor Inn, Grand Hyatt in Seattle. No problem with my cc being charged at each of these fine establishments. read more

UPDATE: Received call from front desk person Sherri this morning informing me that they had credited $100 on our bill. I told her it was not sufficient for the poor level of service they provided; she also went onto my Google review and accused me of "yelling" in front of other guests. First of all, I did not "yell." Secondly there was ONE woman who had walked away from the desk when I was asked how our stay was and I told her. She then proceeded TO HANG UP ON ME. Nice PR for the town of Langley that has few accommodations; reinforced my opinion of this facility and its staff. Told me she would have had the air mattress removed if I had asked. Okay, so THREE guests could sleep in ONE bed all because they failed to update their website with correct information until AFTER I POSTED REVIEWS. Their failure was the ONLY precipitating factor in this fiasco. PERIOD. read more

We had a less than satisfactory experience here. Since we booked last minute and we have a little toy poodle, we had to go with the carriage. It is a big space above garage, with a huge balcony. We arrived at 7:30pm, the lady at front desk was nice enough to call us ahead and gave us the code to the key box. Because they get off work at 6pm. When we opened the room, we were happy that it was big!!! And there are two cookies on the night stand, there is also a teddy bear on the bed but to bring it home would cost us $24 dollars. I think we paid 345 for the room and you are gonna charge us for the stuff animal? Not smart customer service. We are here for the meteor shower and even tho our room is facing east, we cannot see due to the street light directly below the balcony. Thankfully the park is just 2 minutes away. We were able to see some shooting stars there. We spent one night here, after the star viewing I was exhausted but I woke up after 4 hours of sleep at 5am. Why? Because the bed has NO SUPPORT, it is so soft I woke up aching all over! Second, there is literally just a thin paper covering the balcony glass door and since we are facing east and the sun comes out at really early in the PNW, the right is lit like in the day at 5am!!! Lastly, the blankets are so freakishly heavy and warm, it is August 11th and the night is cool but the blanket is in a awkward situation where I'm cold without it but hot and buried with it. I wasn't able to fall asleep again after 5am. This place also offers free breakfast, save yourself and go to the cafe next to it. The breakfast doesn't even have scrambled eggs and sausages, fruits they offer do not look fresh!! read more

EXCELLENT Customer service from the front desk/reception staff to the kitchen. They were graciously able to accommodate my dietary restrictions and even asked to make sure that every thing was ok & I had enough to eat. That was not a problem as the breakfasts were outstanding: creamy oatmeal, yummy quiches, french toast casserole, plus baked muffins, scones, etc.. Way beyond what we expected. Room was clean, comfortable & roomy with a nice view of the water. Loved the fireplace and it was very quiet, with mostly couples as guests. One family with two tweens were there during our stay, but not sure why you would take younger kids here, it's really more a nice romantic getaway spot. They were quiet, but personally it would be nice if it were for adults only (18+) at the Inn. Close to town for easy walking to shops and restaurants and waterfront. read more

I was fortunate enough to stay here for a week in July and I am still dreaming about this place. The place is right on the water with amazing views of the mountains; scenery you can take in while sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch. The inn is simply amazing. The owners are so sweet. All the staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The rooms---where do I begin?? I'm not sure if it was the fire place, the high ceilings, the turn down service with chocolates, the movie rentals at the front desk or the stuffed animals with the turn down service that made it feel like home but it was. For a few nights, it was a great place to come home to. The breakfasts were also quite tasty. They kept you coming back for more with the foods, the fresh cookies, the hot coffee throughout the day, the appetizers in the afternoon. Everything you could think of this inn had for you as a guest. I forgot my umbrella, there was a stash of umbrellas at the door. I forgot cotton balls for toner, they had plenty in the bathroom. I could go on and on. Coming from the Washington DC area this Inn was the best escape one could hope for. One day I will return to Whidbey and I will be staying at the Saratoga Inn again...for sure! read more

We had a fantastic bed & breakfast and will definitely return. The location is walking distance to the local restaurants and market. They do have a couple electric car chargers outside. On arrival we were very pleasantly greeted. The customer service was top notch. Our room was spacious, comfy, and clean. The room had a decent view of the Tulalip bay with Everett lights in the distance. Noise levels were OK, but the old fridge was quite buzzy. The breakfast in the lounge was fantastic. The quiche was the best I've ever had. The variety was OK, not huge, but everything was great quality. Even if the weather is bad the Saratoga Inn is a nice getaway, because of its close location to wineries and restaurants. Highly recommended. read more

At check-in: This place has been flawless so far. Even before we got here, when we included with our reservation a request for blankets instead of a comforter, we got a personal note from them saying they would be sure to have blankets for us. Now we're here and the room is lovely and little pieces of high-quality dark chocolate were on the turned-down bed and yes, there are blankets instead of a comforter. Later, back home: 100% happy. The toilet got stopped up, which could happen to any toilet. They had an after-hours number to call. The person I spoke to was cheerful and apologetic, even though I was interrupting him at home on the day after Christmas. He had someone to our room to fix the problem as soon as possible and then called to make sure the problem had been dealt with, offering to move us to another room if necessary. The bed was comfortable, the gas fireplace cozy, the view out the window sweet. In the morning, the buffet breakfast was gourmet: eggs benedict on a bed of garlic spinach, hash brown potato wedges with homemade applesauce and raspberry scones. We'll be happy to stay there again. read more

My mother and I had a lovely stay at the Saratoga Inn for our two-night stay. Check-in was simple and straightforward, but it was the rest of our stay that won us over. Our room had two firm and comfortable beds and we both slept so well. It was also really quiet during our stay. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace in our room. Breakfast was delicious, with a Greek scramble as the main dish one morning and breakfast enchiladas the next. The muffins were also amazing. The snacks, tea, and wine at their afternoon teatime are an added bonus. The Saratoga Inn also has a great location, and it's an easy walk to the beach or to the main part of town. I definitely recommend the Saratoga Inn. If I return to Langley, I'll be sure to stay there again! read more

Saratoga Inn was the first hotel I saw when I entered Langley. I checked in around 2100 on Sat. night. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant. Upon entering she asked if I would like muffins and wine before bed. As a host the young lady walked me around to the three available rooms that night. I picked #12 on the corner w/ an angled view of the water. Breakfast in the morning was very yummy. Homemade quiche, blueberry scones, coffee, tea....My very clean room included a fireplace, TV...I enjoyed my night at Saratoga Inn. Probably can't add much more than is already here. Was here a couple of months ago for a friend's wedding and my experience here was wonderful. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and well upkept. Breakfast was delicious! I wish there was meat (bacon, sausage, etc.) but even without that, the food was amazing. Staff is very professional and receptive...they refilled the free cookies in the lobby within a minute of me asking! Prices are definitely not cheap, but I think are comparative to other places on the island and the quality of what you get is top notch. Highly recommended. read more

We stayed in the Carriage House at the Saratoga Inn in Langley for just one night - wish it could have been 10!!! Super clean, huge bathroom with tiled shower and clawfoot tub, beautiful view of Saratoga Passage and Camano Island, full kitchen, well laid out, extra comfortable king size bed, wonderful welcoming note and cookies. Had the afternoon wine/cheese, and the breakfast the next morning. All great food, fresh and appealing. The chocolate covered strawberries were an extra special touch. The staff are friendly and well trained, put forth a great effort to make you feel welcome. I have long wanted to stay in the Carriage House and am so glad we did! late 7th anniversary treat. We just returned from the Murder Mystery weekend, we have been staying at the Saratoga Inn for 12 years. We love coming here, it is by far the most relaxing time being here. The breakfast in the morning is always top notch (going to miss you Cindy). And at 4:00 they have snacks and wine. They go out of their way to accommodate their guests. They will make reservations for you at neighboring restaurants, and even have a basket by the fireplace filled with menus to help you make a choice. Kaycee, who is expecting her third child (all since we've been coming here) was working the front desk on Sunday, and got plenty of hugs from the regulars, it's a nice all around family atmosphere. read more

Tea time at 4pm...should really be called wine time...they served a Chauteau St. Michelle merlot that was easy on the lips. We spent one night here and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The staff was extremely sweet and helpful. Checking in and out was very easy. Parking was plentiful. Rooms are very tidy and cozy, the fireplace was an added bonus. The shower was spacious. The living room was super nice and has a nice selection of games, puzzles, recommendations, and DVDs to rent for free. We do feel that the Inn should post on their website that they serve vegetarian breakfast. And that the breakfast hours are 8:30-10 am. We've been coming to the Saratoga Inn for five years now, and this stay was lovely as always. Top notch, incredibly friendly staff. Breakfast is always good with a variety of options. The first day we had a potato dish with poached eggs that was just divine. Rooms always cleaned very well. Also the rooms are very well soundproofed which I appreciate. They did stop the evening cookies last year, apparently, which was a bummer. I'll also say the afternoon snacks were better a few years ago as well. Still good, we just got spoiled. All in all the Saratoga is lovely and relaxing and I think the best value for the amenities & service at this end of the island. read more
