The space itself is lovely and versatile, providing a unique value proposition for the size of space and delivering on quality across the board. Liz and Nate were very helpful throughout the evaluation and planning process and Shane was a terrific day of partner in helping put on our party. It's also great to work with folks dedicated to the community in such a tangible way (they are a nonprofit and support other similar organizations as well). Would highly recommend these folks and I hope to have the chance to come back in the future!

This venue is exceptional for so many reasons: not only is it a non-profit venue, but they light over 100 candles for your event and provide so many things that you would typically need to rent at other venues (chairs, tables, glassware, etc.). Also there are so many things for your guests to do in downtown Ballard if your wedding is mainly out-of-town guests like ours was. Nate and the team were so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend our special day at Cathedral Ballard - it was truly so special!!! :)

I was impressed by their board that lists everything on tap with ABV and IBU as well as prices for all ranges of sizes that they offer. They had 2 stout options and I tried a 5 oz. Extra Loud Irish Stout Nitro ($3.50). Lady bartending was friendly enough and answered questions well, although my 5 oz was 4 oz of foam when she handed it to me, so patience before drinking was necessary. If you like Guinness, it very much reminded me of that, although I prefer my stout more sweet and less coffee-esque.

In general, all ages are welcome until 8pm. Beer, cider, non-alcoholic drinks are available and a few other goodies. Including 2 groovy bathrooms on site that are of course covered with stickers. Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. This is true grassroots community gathering and beautiful accoustics, friendly volunteers and a respectful audience treated to up and coming and successful touring musicians. It feels like you are going to a dinner party as you meander through the neighborhood with neighbors toward the home like venue. The seating is very clean and comfortable. It's a no frills wholesome experience that feels almost speakeasy like. No concessions or parking , just neighborly goodness and talent. Grab yourself a bite before you go and enjoy your night.

This particular 101 level course ran for 2.5 hours with presentation, reference handouts, evaluation of pour over results manipulating ratio, grind, and time, and an overview of technical equipment. Plenty of opportunity for interactive tasting/cupping and to ask questions while seated around a kitchen island. The Ballard Homestead is related to The Fremont Arts Abbey. Very nice well maintained neighborhood events center.

We had a garden suite, on the 5th floor. The *tub*, friends. The tub is legendary. We had heard this previously -- and more of less came for the tub. We fit both spousie (6'2) and me (5'2) in it. No small feat, friends. No small feat. Staff were friendly and accommodating. When we arrived to our room it was beautifully prepared with chocolates, bath bombs and champagne to celebrate our special day. Along with a card signed by all the staff. Do you want a cozy-robe-by-the-fire-weekend with your sweetie? Because this is the ideal place for that! Having a fire in the fireplace with the flick of a switch simply did not get old. The house and grounds can probably accommodate up to 150 people. Parking at the house is limited, so it's best to plan on offering valet parking for your guest. There is ample parking at the bottom of the hill under the Magnolia bridge. Inside the house, you'll find several rooms, including a bar and fireside room, as well as a large dining room with a dance floor. Outside, a circular driveway around the house offers access to an amazing view looking north over the bay. You'll look past the marina where the cruise ships dock to downtown Seattle and Mt.
