Shanks, veggies & mac n cheese
    Brooke L.

We ordered the "take out for 2 option", from LUC- got the shanks, mac n cheese & veggies. It was very easy to call in an order and everything was ready on time as promised. This by far has been the BEST family style take out meal we've tried since the stay-at-home order went in place. We definitely will be trying more of their entrees in the very near future given how extremely yummy this one was!! Can't recommend it enough

This wedding venue is incredible. They can do everything in house, with the exception of photographer and DJ. The food is delicious. The desserts are delicious. With all the candles lit, it looks like you stepped into a party thrown by The Great Gatsby. The people who work there are friendly and patient. I never once felt stressed about any of the details. It was also a great value compared to the average wedding price in Seattle. Thank you Tasia and all the LUC staff!

We LOVED working with LUC for our wedding! We were planning a wedding from across the country and Tasia made it seem like we were there throughout the entire process. She set up phone meetings, allowed my parents to come by and do a site visit, and even scheduled a special food tasting for when we were home for the holidays. Leading up to the wedding, Tasia and her team made it seem like we weren't even having really intricate planning phone calls--we were just casually chatting on the phone with our friends on a Tuesday night. Tasia kept track of every little detail, allowing us to spend the time leading up to the wedding focused on other things. The day of the wedding went absolutely seamlessly thanks to Tasia and her amazing team. We still marvel at how we can't think of a single thing that went wrong on our wedding day and we know it is specifically because of the team at Lake Union Cafe. Thank you for making our day so special--we will never forget it!

Got married here on 2/24/18. Blown away by absolutely everything here. Tasia and JJ were amazing throughout the whole process and my wedding was a dream come true. Everything from the food, cake and JJs amazing flowers were beautiful and delicious! I can't say enough amazing things about this place and I have zero regrets from my wedding. I would do it all over again exactly the way it was. Everything was beyond my expectations. They are a well oiled machine. Thank you so much for making this day so magical. I cried so many happy tears! Photo cred: Images © by Sasha Reiko Photography | www.sashareiko.com

(Sorry for the text) So incredibly happy with the outcome of our cake.

Trying to find a black cake is a lot harder than you'd imagine. I'm so pleased with the outcome of the cake I ordered. I wanted a matte black cake with gold covering the top, and falling down. What I received was so much better than I envisioned. It was perfect, and taste so amazing. (Got the vanilla cake with Bavarian cream) Kevin was so easy to work with and really understood what I was going for! Thank you!! I highly recommend this bakery if you're trying to get a speciality or "Pinterest" cake make. Or any cake really. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be using them in the future. Thank again for a great cake!

Kevin made my wedding cake and it was the best cake I've ever had. I just showed him a couple of cake decor ideas and was able to combine the elements from each picture to make one beautiful cake. He was able to deliver it to our venue in Issaquah for a reasonable fee. LUC provided us with a cake sample tray and picking out the flavor was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make. The flavors were so rich and so amazing. We decided on the Chocolate Chip Raspberry Mousse. I highly recommend this bakery for your wedding cake needs, even if you're not getting married here.

Our own flower arrangements and LUC's candle package. We also rented the purple table runners from LUC at $3/ apiece

Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! And that Photo Booth: all are essential part of throwing an epic event. All events should be this fun!! I guess they will be if you throw them here: weddings, birthdays, corporate events, sweet 16th. I wouldn't mind coming here for a photoshoot: hello contents!!Or just a fun anything event.Did I mention the views?? Ahh the possibilities!!!

A family member was married here. $2500 gets you a beautiful space overlooking the water. We had use of the venue from 10am - 12 midnight. There was a bar area that had various sized glasses for 150 people. We brought our own beverages. We had use of the kitchen and did all the food ourselves. The bridesmaids decorated the chairs and gazebo that was made for the wedding. Two employees helped facilitate setting up plates and bussing tables. There is a dressing room for the bride (and wedding party) that has comfy couches, a dorm sized fridge and a counter space for hair & makeup people (if you bring them). There is a places to hang clothes. I saw hangers by the coat rack but I would bring hangers for gowns and dresses. The door by the kitchen can be locked. If you want privacy for this room, it is s good idea to have someone posted by the door. The facility has members that aren't restricted during your event. We saw a few people making their way to the dock that were not on our guest list. It would have been nice if they could have discreetly entered and avoided our dining area. We had 150 guests and a bridal party of twelve. There were only two stalls in each bathroom. If you want photo opps by the water, the bride and groom can take pictures on the dock. There is also a lovely place by the water that is a short walk from the building. The venue has various vases and containers that you can borrow to put on tables. The sound system is simple. There was a microphone. We brought our own music. There is a baby grand piano inside. Bonus points for the pretty views at sunset.

I was scheduled to have my wedding here on August 3rd. After booking in December and being told that construction would be completed in March my family and I checked in often to make sure everything was on track. The venue was not completed in March and we were given excuses every week since then about why things were not happening. My fiancé ended up going to see the construction progress on a date not scheduled with Peter and Crystal which is when he found the stop work order posted on their front door. Every time we had visited they covered this with a poster advertising the venue. We confronted them about this at our next meeting where they denied any problems and assured us that the venue would be completed. After looking into it more ourselves we found out that they do not have permits for the construction and have multiple people trying to get money back from them. At our next meeting we confronted Peter with this information where he finally said that our event would not be able to happen. The stop work order had been in affect since January. He chose not to inform anyone of this and keep taking people's money. We asked for our money back and he said if he wrote us a check it would bounce. They do not have any money and are scamming people. He promised to pay my dad back on Monday and it has not happened. He has stopped responding to us. Do not use this venue or their other venue called The Landing at Tyee. The construction has been done with out permits and the owners are lying to couples about what is going on with construction. I have attached a picture of the stop work order.

The staff here are unbelievably kind and understanding, especially given everything that we were all going through; including their accommodation for the changing dates of our stays. At one point the staff even went so far as to give us a tour of their ADA accessible rooms and had the pull-out sofa made up into a bed for us. The hotel itself is walking-distance convenient to nearly everything in the U District, from restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, the university and its medical facilities, including an Emergency Room. Of course, this is an urban area, so you should be prepared to encounter some colorful characters when walking around. On that note, the hotel itself does have at least one security guard, and the doors, underground garage, and elevators are secured by keycard. Like other Residence Inn properties, the rooms all feature fully-equipped kitchenettes, with full-sized refrigerator/freezers, dishwashers, a stovetop, full-sized microwave, and all the cookware, dishware and glassware you could need. The rooms are all very clean, and any problems are fixed promptly (we had a thermostat randomly go out in one of our rooms; it was replaced in under an hour). The rooms are remarkably quiet. Each day a delicious full buffet breakfast is available, with some rotating items for weekdays and the weekend. They do not have a make-your-own waffle station, but they provide pre-cooked waffles on weekends and a breakfast sandwich on weekdays. They also have sausage, cereal, muffins, bagels, fruit, vegan sausage...a very wide variety, such that even the pickiest eaters will be satisfied. The on-site gym is well-equipped with dumbbells, two adjustable benches, a weight stack cable machine, several treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes, along with medicine balls, exercise balls, and a foam roll. There is no pool, hot tub, or sauna. Each floor features two washers and dryers that use an app to pay for each load and cycle. Detergent is available at the sundry market in the lobby. The hotel's underground parking garage features EV charges, but has a 6'8" height restriction. The hotel does have several spaces for overheight vehicle parking, but it is not in a secure garage, the spaces are in a surface lot directly behind the hotel. These spaces are not necessarily for oversized vehicles; we had multiple instances when other vehicles had parked on the lines or across spaces, making it impossible to use the adjacent spaces. The front desk staff are incredibly understanding about this, and happy to help find and cover the costs for alternate spaces. Bottom line: if you need to stay in this part of town, and especially if you will have an extended stay, this is the place to be.

Just something neutral, classy, and easy to work with my vision for my wedding. Apparently I was asking too much, because every other typical wedding site was $3000+ to rent, required you to use their vendors (boooo), had hideous carpet or tapestries, or their coordinators liked to ignore me. Then, in a final search of desperation, I found a link to Great Hall at Green Lake. It was meant to be. Nelda was super prompt in responding to me (major cookies and points here), friendly, and didn't just want to throw numbers at me. My fiance and I scheduled a tour of the place and Nelda showed us every nook and cranny, and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. Very reasonable rental prices (in comparison to all the other wedding venues out there) and Nelda is very up-front about any optional/additional costs. I am not a bridezilla, but I do expect a professional attitude and level of interest from someone acting as a vendor on one of the most important days of my life, and I am happy to say that thus far, the communication process and tour of the space has been perfect; I cannot wait to have my wedding here next spring, and I will surely return with another review.

I also really liked that it got a lot of natural lighting in the building. We initially wanted an outdoor wedding but being in Seattle, that was too much of a risk to take even in the month of August. We were initially concerned that it would be too hot and that we would need to rent air conditioners but it was pretty cool outside that day so we did not need to. They also had some large portable fans on the stage if needed but we did not need them on our wedding day. The staff was very hands-off. We scheduled a tour twice and sometimes it seemed like they were not expecting us. I think it was because someone was on their way out of the job and some things needed to be communicated. They were very flexible about letting us come in to look at the place for a second time with our wedding coordinator and set out chairs and tables to see what it would be like, they basically left us alone and said we could leave whenever we were finished. They have one larger room upstairs to be used as a bridal suite, and then one smaller room downstairs that seemed too small to be a second bridal suite. I ended up letting the groom/groomsmen get ready in the main, larger bridal suite, then us ladies got ready at my friend's house, and then we told the guys to leave when we were on our way and that worked out pretty well. I had about 120ish people at my wedding and it was pretty tight when the tables were out, like my husband and I could barely walk across to get to our table and people had to stand and scoot in. During there ceremony, it was perfectly fine. The main thing that was an issue for me is that they do not have a dumpster that we could use and expected us to haul our own trash out after the wedding reception. They charged quite a lot of money if we were to leave trash for them to dispose of. I think that was the most stressful part, and they also said that we can't dump garbage in the neighboring dumpsters. This was the only reason for me taking off one star. Otherwise, I loved this venue for my wedding!

I was initially attracted to the idea of the social club. The lounge, which has a traditional college pub feel, includes a pool table, shuffleboard, a large flat screen, and lots of seating - a great space for hanging out. The venue which consists on two floating vessels has a large dock off the back. We were blown away by how much fun the dock has been. On nice summer days, we would come down for a couple of hours and lounge/lay out on the dock or hop in the water and swim for a bit. There are number of singles, couples, and families so it brings a nice balance of people. (We don't have kids but I've always thought this is the perfect club for those who do - without being too annoying for those of us who don't.) Also throughout the summer, they do Wednesday happy hours and a fun outdoor Thursday night concert series on the dock. I've talked to a number of serious rowers who enjoy the club for the boat access. My husband and I aren't rowers but to our surprise, we've had a lot of fun taking out kayaks (and paddle boards) - both with free access as a part of the membership. The gym isn't fancy but it's clean and has some good equipment (stationary bikes, rowing machines, weights). There are never more than a few people in the gym at once. I've liked it so much that I canceled another gym membership and only come here now. I wasn't sure if this would be a better "summertime" club but we've enjoyed into the colder months. In addition to my ongoing use of the gym, they offer fun social events like college football viewing parties and wine tasting events. Lastly, I have nothing but great things to say about the staff. They genuinely care about their members and have helped create a warm and welcoming environment. They really help set the tone for the overall feel of the club, especially for the social events. I'm glad we made the choice to join. It's been a great addition for us.
