The building is shared with The Upper Crust Catering, which has its own page on Yelp. The first floor of the building is the catering kitchen and the second floor is the event space. This is from the perspective of someone who attended an event there, but wasn't involved with any of the planning or coordination, so I can't speak to that aspect. I enjoyed the feel of the space. It is a building from the 1920s and has a sort of "classic ballroom" type of feeling, classy without being pretentious or trendy. I liked that the restrooms were right off the main dining area and didn't require a long trek to find. It's a good medium-sized space, not tiny but not huge either. There's a little side room where the food is served out of, and an open dance floor space towards the back of the room. At this event, catering was provided by Upper Crust and it was a vegan dinner. The food was flavorful and filling; I enjoyed it despite not being vegetarian or vegan. It was served buffet style and there were a number of options, including quinoa pilaf, pad thai, a potato dish with a vegan roast, watermelon with balsamic dressing, a salad with crispy noodles, and possibly one or two other things that I am forgetting. Instead of cake, they opted to have peanut butter and jelly bars for dessert that had a sort of crumble topping. I think the quinoa was my favorite. Overall, I would recommend the space UNLESS you need a wheelchair accessible venue. Being an older building, it doesn't conform to today's accessibility standards. There's no elevator to the second floor, and the restroom is very tiny and I don't think a wheelchair could fit in there. Also, if you want your event catered, you will need to use Upper Crust since the building is owned by them and they have an exclusive partnership, so it's probably not the best choice if you have your heart set on a different caterer.

Clean and comfortable, which are the first two things I look for in a hotel. Parking was easy in…read morethe garage across the street, although signage could certainly be better. Staff was helpful and efficient, as they typically are with Marriott properties. I was a bit concerned about noise due to proximity to I-5 and the light rail, but we ended up on the opposite side of the hotel and didn't hear a thing from outside. We did hear a barking dog that someone left in their room, someone's noisy kids at 6AM, and the doors slam pretty firmly. Not docking points for that, but just be aware - it's a hotel, there's noise...and the noise inside is worse than outside. Two things keep them from that 5th star: - the $30 fee for parking. Pretty sure this exists for some combination of "because we can" and "everyone else does it." Neither of which I find compelling. There was no shortage of available parking, so this irks me a bit. - the breakfast. I understand that it's free, but in this case you get what you pay for. Probably the worst breakfast I've seen at a Marriott, and outdone by several at lesser hotels. All of the "hot" food offerings were room temperature. The biscuit sandwiches had dried out tops and soggy bottoms. Oh, and I was there at around 8, so it's not like I was in the waning minutes of service. One of the cereal bins didn't work. The toaster was able to warm my English muffin slightly, but didn't actually toast it. There only seemed to be one harried staff member managing the breakfast - although at one point a maintenance person was apparently drafted to bring plates and bowls. There was also apparently only one bus cart, which would periodically disappear and then people stacked their plates on top of the trash can. At one point this leaning tower shifted and dumped what I think was yogurt on a little boy nearby - something that would have made me significantly more upset if it was my kid. Poorly resourced would be a fair description overall. Bottom line - the hotel gets 4 stars, the breakfast gets 2.

They have a small mini store across from the front desk for any emergency needs like snacks or basic over the counter meds. All the staff were polite and accommodating. Cons - If you're a light sleeper, make sure you ask if there are any rooms opposite of the train. It didn't bother me, but the train does run quite often if that is an issue for people with noise sensitivity. Overall, I would definitely come back to this location. It was about 15-20 min from downtown but nice that it was far enough outside the city. Target and convenience shopping was just a short drive, maybe 5 min in all directions. Plenty of restaurants just minutes away as well. Enjoyed the parking structure that always has available parking, even though it was $25/night.

The food is very good and consistently so... when you can get it. The restaurant is always PAINFULLY short staffed so while the staff is very friendly, they're simply never around. We have had to cancel food orders more than once because sitting there waiting for an hour to order (literally), then waiting another hour and multiple reminders for the bill before you can close out is just untenable. We live right up the street and since the food is so good, we try over and over and over again and it always the same experience: endlessly disappointing. Sitting there for 15 minutes with empty glasses and not a bartender in sight, or waiting 20 minutes in an empty restaurant only to finally order and have the server tell you they just sold out of what you wanted is not the way to run a restaurant. I'm only giving it two stars because the food is so good, but I'm afraid we've been disappointed one too many times. Until they can either hire staff or train their current staff on how to deal with their sections, we're out.

There are plenty of cars and play areas with big blocks and little play stands and areas for all ages, from first starting to sit up to toddling to enjoy. He really enjoyed watching the other kids and crawling around, discovering neat things to play with. It is a huge space in the community center with a nicely sized parking lot. I don't put my son in day care so it is great to have convenient, indoor, free spaces like this in Seattle. Highly recommended for parents to little ones!

My daughter was not welcomed at the ballet dancing class for 5-7 years old. My daughter was too shy and scared to go to the instructor's place because even tho we were only several steps away from her, she ignored us. I could not change another class for her because I was told that it is considered refund and they could not refund me anything. But I would not dare to take my daughter to that cold class again to "try" as the front desk staff recommended us to do it. Perhaps some sort of racism, but it's fine, keep going your way.

The cafe area is spacious and it had a nice display of chocolate that you could sample and choose from to be used in your drink. I had the mocha with Colombia chocolate. The drink tasted too strong and bitter for my taste, though. I don't think you could make it any less strong because Colombia chocolate seemed to be on the lower side of cacao percentage among other selections here. The bitterness could've also come from the espresso shots too. I prefer Spinnaker's mocha to the one here because Spinnaker's is not as bitter and more smooth. But if you prefer your chocolate more bitter and espresso stronger, you might like Cocoa Legato's mocha better. The place was giving good vibes, so I'd be happy to take friends and hang out and maybe I'll get a different kind of drink next time I'm here.
