Let me tell you that I just lucked out when I found this caterer! I hired them to work my Mother's Memorial Service (10-1-23). Anyone who has planned a similar event knows the feeling of emotional overload that you are during this time. Al was so patient with me as a stumbled through planning the food and drink portion. He makes it easy by providing sample menus for memorial celebrations. He was also flexible with the choices that I made within each option. I had looked at several other companies that just didn't fit. The others that I interviewed were either ridiculously expensive, rude, impatient, inflexible or wouldn't bother to return a call! Following the event, Al contacted me to find out if I was satisfied with the service. I mentioned that there had been an oversight. It was not a major issue but Al got back to me right away. Pacific Northwest catered my daughter's wedding on Dec 2. I cant count the number of compliments we received that night and even over the next few days regarding the catering service and meal. We had the prime rib with their golden mashed potatoes, vegetable medley along with the salmon bow tie pasta and three different appetizers. It was incredible! the food was outstanding, the Prime rib was delicious and cooked to perfection but the dish that stole the show was salmon bow tie pasta. The set up was beautiful. The staff was professional and worked wonderfully without our wedding planner. I will be honest, I needed communication and customer service a lot over the year of planning the wedding and Al was there for me each and every time. They were all so patient with me. They answered all my questions and even lent some encouragement when I thought I was about to lose my mind. We had the best experience with Pacific Northwest Catering for our wedding back in 2021. Like most couples in 2020, our wedding had to be postponed to the following year. Al and his team were super flexible during the planning stage and graciously allowed us to change our contract to the rescheduled ceremony date. From our tasting session to the day of the wedding, Pacific Northwest Catering was very responsive and helpful with all of our questions. They handled all of our banquet rentals, catering and bartending services, which made it easier than us having to coordinate multiple vendors. I also appreciate the insight that they provided when it came to menu decisions and adjustments. We ended up adding in a cake, desserts and an additional food item for the buffet outside of our initial proposal, and Al was great about offering suggestions and asking for references of what we were looking for. I enjoyed a tasting at their restaurant a couple months ago and really loved many qualities about the food and service. Scheduling was very easy and Al got back to my fiancé and I right away with a quote. The quote was very reasonable and competitive with other caterers. Al was always super polite and prompt in all his emails. Upon arriving at the restaurant they seated me and offered me some coffee. One of the chefs came out and sat with me to review our estimate and menu. There had been some confusion and the menu items weren't correct, but that can happen through email. They were great about getting things together for me to sample. Their gluten free chicken was really delicious and I also enjoyed several of the other items I tried. Ultimately we chose to go with a caterer who was also able to supply us with all the gf cupcakes for our guests which simplifies our lives, but I would definitely suggest checking these guys out if you're looking for a company to cater your wedding or other event! read more

I cannot recommend these guys enough! For the past few years I have been attending a Rotary event in December and each time I am blown away by the food. This year they had prime rib as the main entree and it just melted in my mouth! My husband even went back for second. The jus that they served with it was salty but the good kind of salty. Their garlic mashed potatoes were equally delicious and the asparagus was cooked perfectly, not mushy at all. There were a few other side dishes they had that I skipped on but everyone at our table said the dishes were very good. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, taking away dishes as soon as we were finished. These guys will be first on my list of places to call when I have an event in the future. read more

This pop up in Edmonds, Five Corners, was just what a rainy night dinner take out is about. For $12 I was able to take home the Carnita Dish for me and the Pot Roast for my husband. The Carnitas with beans, cheese, tortillas, sour cream and sauce very tasty and surprisingly good. Husband's pot roast, gravy, potatoes and carrots, great. The gravy was almost to die for. Would have bought the clam chowder, but at 5:30pm, sold out. Next time will go at 4pm, then heat at later time. So glad to have found this couple, they are working hard to make a go of things. read more

We had our wedding reception catered by Pacific Northwest Catering this summer and can't recommend them highly enough. We wanted to do heavy hors d'ouevres and were impressed from the start with the options and responsiveness of the company. Scheduling a tasting was easy in their quirky little restaurant, and they continued the pattern of excellent responsiveness and customer service after we booked them. To be completely honest, we weren't crazy about the food at the tasting, but we were really impressed how how all-inclusive they were, with respect to what they would do for the price, and the customer service. We made some changes to the menu, post-tasting, and figured we were paying for the service - anyway, who expects wedding food (on a reasonable budget) to be outrageously good? The day of the wedding was so smooth, and the servers were seamless in doing their jobs. They handled the buffet line beautifully and were willing to cut the cakes up for all the guests (even though they did not supply the dessert). They did an absolute rockstar job. But here's the kicker: the food was amazing. We loved what we ate (my husband promptly charged off for seconds), and we got a ton of comments from guests about how good it was and wanting to know who had catered. My best guess is the menu we had picked for the tasting just wasn't right for us (our bad; not theirs!!), and when we made changes, it made all the difference. Our particular highlights (because everything was delicious): the lime chipotle steak skewers (WOW), the deviled eggs, the hot artichoke dip, and the crab-stuffed mushrooms. Our vegetarian guests loved the Vietnamese spring rolls with Thai peanut hoisin sauce. Prices were absolutely reasonable for what you get, food was EXCELLENT, and the customer service both before and during the event was phenomenal. A special shout-out to the day-of crew: their hustle during the event (especially in a quirky church basement setting) was amazing. Definitely recommend this catering company. read more

We are so glad we chose Pacific Northwest Catering to cater our afternoon wedding. After a thorough search, I decided on PNW Catering because it was less expensive than the competition and rated well. They also rent items like linens, cake tables, plates, silverware, etc. for an additional cost. You can also hire one of their servers if you want setup, cleanup, and help throughout your event. Since our reception was in the middle of the afternoon, we went with appetizer platters. It took a while to set a date for our tasting appointment because our schedules didn't line up for a few weeks, but when we finally tasted some of our chosen platter items, we were set. They also increased their prices between our initial quote and our tasting appointment, but they honored the original price. We were so thankful for that! Our wedding guests loved the food and the server we hired was very helpful. They are extremely busy so sometimes it might take a while to respond. I found that sending a follow-up email was helpful. Even though this was not a big order, Al was happy to provide a tasting of the items we were contemplating, something I didn't really expect and that other caterers understandably won't do for such a small group (25). The food was very good and Al was very accommodating. We had an assortment of appetizers and he delivered everything right on time, gave me instructions on how to finish cooking/heating the hot items as needed for serving, and was very flexible about coming back sometime after the party to pick up their pans, since we are not too far from their location. read more

We used this catering service for our wedding. The food was good, but all other aspects were terrible, especially service and pricing. They increased the price, charged for things like guest table cloths that any other caterer would provide free of charge, and made it through the entire wedding without lit the actually talking to anyone about what they were doing. As a result of this, they lit the decorative candles from our centerpieces and risked our $500 venue deposit. There was one server who thought it was difficult to walk around the room and decided that she should be stationary during the cocktail hour and have the guests come to her. Also, they charged us for a "service charge" and a mandatory 15% "tip" and then had the balls to put out a tip jar and ask for money from our guests. I asked them kindly to remind me what the service charge entailed and they simply ignored my questions. Our contract stated that they would bring leftover boxes so guests could take food and cake with them. None were brought and the caterers had everything broken down, packed away and gone before the reception had even ended; without telling anyone of their plans. We were about 20 people under our guest count, so there had to have been plenty of leftovers. read more

We chose an Italian menu, and they hosted a lovely tasting for us (though it is a little confusing trying to fine their building). Food was great quality and the chefs are very nice.
