A good venue with a unique mid-sized event footprint. They use their differing spaces well to allow a group to traverse a multi-level building and by this do a good job breaking up the event into zones. With a rooftop, and outdoor space on ground level there is a lot of variety - and convertible space for room transitions from event to dance floors. Work with your designers to highlight the modern elements and you'll do well, simple decorations provably shine here over others. The only downside side is the location where the scenery is industrial histories and not as great except on the rooftop. Great cheap parking for the event nearby. read more

We had the absolute best time at the Fremont Foundry!!! It's an absolutely amazing venue for throwing a party - so many of our friends had been there before and our high expectations were exceeded! One of the most important things for us was finding a venue "that had a space for everyone" and that's EXACTLY what the Foundry provides. You wanna dance? It's an AWESOME dance floor. Need a breather? Check out the courtyard or the rooftop. Want to be involved but just watch? There are various side-rooms and balconies to check out the action. Of course, another huge pro is that catering is provided in-house, so it made that part of the process so much easier. We also used their list of recommended vendors, all of whom are familiar with the space, and it made set-up on the day of the event an absolute breeze. We do need to respectfully acknowledge that communication with the venue was... a little suspect at times. They experienced a lot of turnover over the past year (as well as some pricing changes), and while we were ultimately very happy with our experience, we hope they can get back to some consistency so that all couples and events get a smooth experience! (A special shoutout to Brittany who stepped in for our last month and really brought things home for us, thanks friend!!) Overall, we are so glad that we picked the Foundry and we hope you consider them for your event!! read more

Terrible food, lame drinks, dour staff, and poorly maintained facility. Bartender denied mother of the groom a Gin & Tonic because it wasn't on the menu? WTF! There's the gin, there's the tonic what's the problem here? In my view a Total disconnect between concept of hospitality, overly zealous management bent on placing policy over experience and the omnipresent threat posed of losing one's job. I encourage you to look elsewhere for your events. This group does not care about you, they just want your money and to deliver the cheapest product possible without evoking a true assessment by the client as to what they just paid for. The holds true for any Landmark event space. The Ruins in particular is a shell of its former self . . . behind the scenes it's a pigsty! read more

We had to plan our wedding in under 3 weeks and when we found Fremont Foundry Events had availability on our date, little did we know at the time, we completely hit the jackpot. These guys know what they are doing, not only that, they are kind and thoughtful in the process not skipping a beat on anything. They weren't frazzled at all with our timeline and even our request for a full vegan dinner menu and special allergy-free meal options for the kids. Thanks to them, we were able to pull off a wedding of our dreams in such a short period - a wedding everyone will be talking about for years to come. It was flawless and beautiful and we couldn't have asked for anything more. They went above and beyond and I can't recommend this venue for your next event more. You're in good hands! read more

I have to admit that I was nervous to come here based on another reviewer's apparent negative experience. But not only does the business' Yelp page provide a lot of information about the space, so does their official website (linked off said Yelp page). I wrote in to request an appointment about hosting an event and it was responded to not just with an email, but a phone call first. The email came after I missed the call due to a work meeting. Our meeting lasted about 40 mins (only because I had to dash) but I was given not just a tour of the entire building, because it's actually a lot of unique spaces put together, I was also given a history of the building and effectively, a history of Fremont. This space is absolutely incredible. As an event planner in Seattle, it's one of the most memorable tours of a space I've seen in 5+ years. I could easily see one or all of the spaces being used for corporate events, industry events, art parties, and of course weddings. You could just about do anything here! Depending on the layout and the spaces used, you could host 10 people or nearly 800. They have an actual cook-in kitchen, a bar/service area, and moveable walls to create and customize the event. There's a built-in sound system that works in all or some rooms, depending on the need, and there are gorgeous industrial touches everywhere. Lots of wood, concrete and metal. Outside there's a patio with lights that zig zag across the yard, space for food trucks or carts, and more. You could really do anything here. It seems to me that whoever decided to open this space as an event rental space has a ton of experience. I left the meeting with a pamphlet that clearly outlined prices per space, package deals, weekend versus weekday pricing, and more. One of the best features here? 6 weeks before your scheduled event they calendar in a time to sit back down with you and go over final details. Way to put you at ease! They also offer you access to software that allows you to drag/drop things into the blueprint of the space to better understand your own layout. Tables, tents, chairs, etc. It's amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better tour and am now absolutely dying to get into this space for a party. I also sorta wanna get married here... (We came here for the Hendricks event) But the Foundry is a very beautiful space. Very spacious, with different rooms feelings atmospheres and beautiful. Wish we could've seen the rooftop though!!!. We will consider it when we get married that is if we don't run off and elope in private, lol. Hendricks Grand Garnisher: 5 freaking stars. I want to tell you all about it, but I wont. The anticipation of not knowing was probably made it even better! I was admittedly frusterated bc I wanted to know what we were going to, but... they fed us, fueled us w delicious gin, entertained us on SO many levels and after everyone had a few people opened up and made alot of new friends & aquaintances with very different walks of life and that is kinda priceless. Both Jessie and Megan are always super easy to work with and do a great job of ensuring all the details are taken care throughout the entire process. I loved working with Fremont Foundry! We had our wedding here and it was absolutely one of the best decisions we made. The location is phenomenal, the space was perfect for our needs and allowed us to have several different areas during the wedding - an outdoor cocktail reception, a beautiful ceremony space, a great location for dinner and dancing, and a perfect spot for a sparkler grand exit. So incredible! I think what was even better than the space itself was the people we worked with. Dani and Holly were AWESOME and helped us to plan and coordinate the entire day. These two are special people working with folks on one of the most amazing but also most stress-inducing days. I loved them, their kindness and patience, and their great ideas. My office is in the neighborhood and I have attended other events in this space, so when it came time to throw a company party choosing the Fremont Foundry as our venue was a no brainer. The space can accommodate over 800 people, but we only were expecting a couple hundred for our event. Fortunately the building layout allows them to rent either specific sections or the whole building. For our needs we chose to just use the atrium, which worked out perfectly. The staff was super helpful and flexible with all our requests. They met with us on two separate occasions to first tour the space and then later to help us lay out the event. They used some software to build a floor plan, put us in touch with vendors and assisted with our needs on the day of the event before, during, and after. One nice thing was that they already have a nice sound system with wireless mics in the space, which we were able to plug into for announcements and to play music. They also have some lighting features built in which can change color to match the theme and some other lighting elements that we rented directly from them. This reduced our overall cost as we didn't have to rent a bunch of expensive equipment from another vendor. Our guests were very impressed with everything, even commenting that it was the best company party they'd ever been too. 10/10 would use this space again. read more

Beautiful spot for a wedding, staff was wonderful but I witnessed multiple people at the wedding I attended have to trek up 4 flights of stairs to attend the rooftop ceremony. The fact that events are held on the (scenic) I'll give it that, rooftop, means this venue is NOT ADA accessible. I watched a woman with a broken foot, another with a walker, as well as someone in a wheelchair try and figure out how they were going to get up there. There are also no restrooms on the top floor. Something to think about before you book! All that said, the wedding was lovely. But just seems like a high-end venue such as this should have a better way for all guests to enjoy events. read more

My husband and I got married here in November and we were beyond impressed with both the space and the service. You can't ask for a better location for a wedding or other event, with easy access to both downtown and North Seattle, and the space is huge and truly beautiful. This is a very busy venue that is used for many private and corporate events, but despite a crazy schedule, Dani and Holly made sure that everything got done perfectly. It was a pleasure to work with them both and we had several meetings over our year (plus) of planning to make sure that every detail was accounted for. We had a live band and the sound quality was great. We used Fremont Foundry's bar services (unlimited beer and wine package) and they provide a choice of local craft brews and Washington wines, all of very good quality. The staff of this venue truly care about creating a superior product for their clients. They are attentive to detail, flexible, and helpful with budgeting decisions. Our wedding day was beyond wonderful and we are so glad we chose Fremont Foundry! read more

Very cool place. There was plenty of space here for so many different kinds of events, and the rooftop area was great with nice views of the Aurora Bridge and the Fremont Bridge (when it was up). This venue could hold quite a few people and is updated and modern. I'm giving 4 stars as the main level seemed very warm. Lots of people there today, so not sure if the coolers were just not turned all the way up or not, but that was my ONLY critique of this event center. read more

Wow, did we hit the jackpot with Fremont Foundry. With a wedding in October, we knew that weather could be an issue, so we were looking for a place that could be entirely indoors, but could fit our crowd of 115 easily without feeling crammed. The Foundry was the perfect spot for us. The rooms transitioned well from each section of the wedding, and the space is simple, yet so unique in its own way. It didn't take much to decorate it because it was already such a cool space! But the best thing about the Foundry was the staff. We worked really closely with Jess and we are so grateful for her help, patience, and support throughout our year of planning. She was always responsive, and worked with us to ensure things remained within our budget while still having the perfect day. We can't recommend the Fremont Foundry enough. It is beautiful, unique, and the perfect wedding venue from start to finish. read more

This is such an amazing and versatile event space. You could seriously host just about any type of event here from wedding receptions to private tasting events, I'm sure these guys could make it happen for you. The layout is pretty awesome with three floors filled with so many different types of usable spaces including both outdoor and indoor areas. The highlight of the building just might be the rooftop patio which is huge and features some pretty awesome views of the Fremont area. Even the courtyard entry way is laid out beautifully and helps to really make this a one of a kind destination. All I can say is if you have a chance to attend any sort of gathering or event that is being held here, you definitely want to make it happen. read more

I would have loved to review the actual venue and space; however after repeated attempts to obtain information from Fremont Foundry, including a price quote or time to take a tour, I gave up after 7 weeks. I initially filled out their online contact form, waited two weeks and never heard back. I then called the number listed and left a voicemail and when I hadn't heard back after 4 days, I found a contact email and sent them an email. After two days of sending the email, I finally received an initial email back, apologizing because it was the holiday season and they were extremely busy. I completely understand that...however, I quickly sent back an email with a few more questions, and that was a month ago...and never heard back. Meanwhile, we toured numerous other venues and have already decided on another venue for our wedding. While we are quite happy with our choice, it's too bad about the Fremont Foundry not getting back to me, as the photos look like it is a beautiful place! read more

I recently attended a Yelp Event at this location. It's a lovely building with lots of character and interesting architecture, and I loved the courtyard. From the pictures, I see that there is a rooftop deck but, unfortunately, it was not open during the event I attended. The reason for 4 Stars is the ladies bathroom... The ladies room only had a couple of stalls and no ventilation. I realize this is an old building, but the bathrooms really seemed like an afterthought. read more

There was allot of great venues and met allot of people, food and drinks were good, my wife got her t-shirt sprayed and the guy had talent, also the photo booth is neat thing to bring to a family event to take some silly photos, had a great time and lots of positive people there to make it alive! So the Fremont Foundry just opened in the downtown Fremont area a few months ago. Having been to six weddings/events this season (with three more to go), I am feeling like a professional (drunk) party goer. The good: the space itself from top to bottom is absolutely fantastic!! The main floor is more industrial with clean lines and spacious areas for the guests to congregate. The roll up doors let in much needed cool air and added another element to the space. The space used for the dance floor was awesome. It was glass see through blocks on top of a terrarium pit. Very cool when uplit. The only thing that was better than the ground floor was the HUGE rooftop deck!!! Even though the day was a little overcast the view and spaciousness were just fantastic. The almost 200 guests were able to spread out and enjoy a few glasses of wine while they reconfigured the room downstairs after the wedding ceremony. Very, very cool area with an expertly done penthouse to boot. The less than good: It was a little warmer in the space than totally comfortable. The sweat dribbling down my back during the ceremony was the only thing that kept this from a 5 star rating. I can't even call it bad . . . . .just less than good. Also be aware that to get to the rooftop deck you will need to climb a few stairs. Later, I was definitely ok with the extra exercise as I made a total pig of myself from amazing catered food. :) All in all this space rocks!! Great elements will make this venue a force to be reckoned with in the Wedding wars. Great lighting, acoustics, indoor and outdoor spaces means that it should be around for a long time to come!! Really bummed about the horrible service from this place. My fiancé and I were searching for wedding venues, and the pictures of this place were great! However, I basically had to stalk the staff in order to set up an appointment for the viewing. After 4 phone calls and 2 email attempts, I finally got a hold of Kierah. We saw the venue and really loved it. Kierah blamed the communication problems on the fact they were busy with events that month. We decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and asked for a proposal because the venue was gorgeous. After a week, I hadn't heard back so I reached out again. We were really interested in booking the foundry for our wedding. A month later, I still have yet to receive a response. Needless to say, we will be going with a different venue. Really disappointing experience and I would never recommend to anyone, especially for the most important day of your life. read more
