Absolutely wonderful. Carl and Rita have a fabulous setup. Winery and B&B were outstanding. Beds were so comfortable, food was delicious and wine was exquisite. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended. Some places ooze that casual, inviting afternoon stop-off look. The Comfort at Whidbey Winery is such a place. Overlooking the Puget Sound from the quiet of the countryside, this is a family-run winery, bed-and-breakfast, and farm, on the south end of Whidbey Island. We stopped in with a group for an afternoon lunch. The pictures with captions below say it all. This place is a fast-casual eatery in the Whidbey Island countryside with extras -- a Nosh spot, and a Bread and Breakfast. Carl and Rita Comfort bought this 22-acre farm in 2006 and converted an existing building into their winery and tasting room in 2009. In 2016 they finished their new tasting room, winery, bed-and-breakfast in the event space. With close to 6000 grapevines planted in the Estate Vineyard, most of the year is dedicated to pruning and nurturing the plants to ensure the best quality grapes. Vines include Siegerrebe, Madeline Angevine, Madeline Sylvan and, Pinot Noir. Carl will tell you he spent a lot of time living overseas drinking red wines. When he bought this farm, it came with white wine vines. So, he tries to make white wines that a red wine drinker would drink. Taste is always the best indicator of success, and Carl and Rita have hit the jackpot. If you like white wines, put this place on your must-visit list! It's another great example of Culinary Tourism in the Camano-Whidbey Islands in Washington State.

Carl & Rita have an amazing B&B and they provide outstanding service! Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable! Breakfast was great and the evening wine tasting was delightful. They serve wines from their own vineyard! Such a lovely, peaceful setting with water views. My only suggestion would be to provide a hair dryer in the room.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at Comforts of Whidbey and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Rita and Carl. The room was very nice, well appointed with a lovely view. Great location, just minutes outside of Langley. Wine tasting was included with our room package and we truly enjoyed all of them. But the highlight was Rita's spectacular breakfasts (served on weekends). We'll definitely venture back the next time we're on Whidbey Island. Thank you, Carl & Rita, for making our stay so enjoyable.

The rooms at the B&B are very nice and rooms have a wonderful view of Puget Sound. The breakfast is made fresh and has local produce. We enjoyed both the red and white wines. The owners, Carl and Rita Comfort, are very friendly and provided information on places to go and do in the area. Hope we can go back again someone.

    Just so pretty!

Absolutely amazing! Rita and Leslie could not have been a better hostess! We stayed upstairs over the weekend and had a wedding event. They were there assisting and guiding for our set up to our break down. Rita is a one woman show for sure! She cooked breakfast for us, Fed all the animals, mowed the grounds, took care of the guests, etc and had a smile on her face the entire time! Wine is amazing. B&B was even more amazing. Breakfast is home cooked and included with your stay. Tasting flights are $7 and well worth it to decide your bottle of choice. The views are incredible. Two farm dogs that just want love when they see you! Cows & llamas in the pasture between the tasting room and vineyard and they are just as cute as can be! Very nosy as to what's going on up at the main building. Be sure to stop here for a day or a night stay!

This place is the best! We were skeptical about staying at a bed and breakfast as we'd never done it before but the Comfort's made us feel right at home. Complimentary wine and cheese + farm fresh breakfast was amazing. Such a nice touch. The property itself was beautiful and our room was clean and fresh. We will certainly be coming back here for another getaway, very relaxing!

Omg! I loved this place. I stayed for one night their B&B and wish I had booked for longer. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was yummy. I sat outside with a view of the water. So beautiful. My room had the pasture view and it was beautiful too. I want to go again!

Stunning views from the winery deck!!

I was very impressed with the town and really liked Greenbank Cidery which was in the heart of downtown. For one the tasting room for Greenbank is wonderful! The tasting room has a pleasant wooded and sleek look to it but the main draw are all the magnificent views you get here at the taproom. So definitely don't be in a rush when you come here and admire that view from the windows of the water! The cider is equally great! I had the Hi Boy Dry which was a dry cider... as the name implies and it was perfection! It had a great flavor of apple as it should but it wasn't too sweet or anything of the sort and was just sheer perfection. Such a great experience coming to Greenbank Cider and I will definitely pencil it in on a return visit to the island!

It's easy to drive right past (and we did the first time), but we found the small turn up the driveway coming back the other way. They have the signage out there, we just needed to slow down and get on island time. Cute place with an aviation theme based on the owner's work as a fighter pilot. Thanks for your service. The lady working the tasting area was very kind, but not very knowledgeable about their offerings, nor was she able to steer us in any direction based on our preferred taste profiles. She loved the wines at HHC, which is honorable, but not incredibly helpful. All the wines available for the tastings this Sunday were ok, but their big reds were not part of it. She said they weren't able to open any for tasting since the weekend was over, which is too bad. Other wineries like Wedge Mountain do this same thing, which I fail to understand. We stated we like big reds and are members of two other wineries on the island. Seems to me worth taking a chance on a customer that makes a jaunt a couple times a year and spends money on club wines, expressing a desire for what the winery has dubbed their flagship offerings. The pods and outdoor heaters are very nice, the grounds are attractive, we just didn't care for the lighter reds, blends, and whites we were offered. We did buy a bottle of one decent blend at full price, and they didn't comp or reduce the price of even one tasting. Fine, if that's the policy, but it won't bring us back.

The squeeze of lemon was delightful and brought all the flavors together beautifully. The main dish of seafood risotto was delicious as well and incredibly flavorful. I enjoyed the oil/sauce the meal was served on and every bite was fantastic. My only disappointment was the size of the entrees as they were small portions. The burger was also fantastic although the size was on the smaller side and there were not a lot of potato wedges included. Overall I loved this place and the service was great. The atmosphere was lively as they had live music playing which was a nice touch. I'm excited to try more dishes from this cute little restaurant.

We were here in the winter time so the gardens were dead but you could tell come springtime and summer it would be an amazing place to spend some time outdoors. The room was super nice and the cottage hosts were very friendly and nice to deal with. The only thing I would caution you on is to not barge into the area where it says Entrance. That lead you into a porch like area with a second door that leads inside to what might be the hosts residence. When we went to open the second door we were met with strong verbal cues to stop and sign the guest book. It was as if they didn't want us to enter any further. Come to find out this may have been there personal residence. The breakfast was amazing too. We had the raspberry clafouti and was super delicious.
