    Red wine flight

Such a sweet winery! A flight of 4 wines is only $10, and on Thursday's it's happy hour, which means buy one flight, get one free (yes, you read that right). The winery has a pretty view of the bay and some bunnies running around, and the service was lovely. There's also plenty of heat lamps! The only downside is that the winery is placed between two other private properties, so it feels a bit like you're intruding on other peoples land. But overall, would definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful views at this winery of both the water and the vines. When we arrived the small parking lot next to the tasting room was full so we parked behind in the overflow area. They have a lot of different wines available for tasting, glasses, and bottles. We got a bottle of the Cab Franc which was nice and dry. Would like to come back and taste more. We also sat next to Kilo the parrot who was a bit noisy, but cute to look at while we hung out.

Great wine with an even better view

The staff were all very nice and the location was amazing. There is a fantastic view of the water over the Vinyard and plenty of the families animals running around to keep everyone entertained. We got the cab franc and it was a fantastic flavor, this Vinyard is the best all around package on the island.

Absolutely loved Holmes Harbor Cellars! What a neat place with wonderful wine and beautiful views. Shout out to Steve who was super knowledgeable and friendly! We were celebrating our friends Bachelorette party and Steve went above and beyond to make our experience special!

Holmes Harbor Cellars has a great selection of wines to sample. The outdoor tasting area is beautiful and has a gorgeous view of the bay. Apparently, the owner even has a cockatoo that spends time outside in the garden, but was not present when we came to visit. I highly recommend this winery to anyone looking for a relaxing way to pass an afternoon.

Fabulous winery in Freeland. We even joined the wine club which is really great. Today they had a wine club party with some great food and wine parings. Can't wait for the next party but they also do wine tasting when ever open.

Wine maker was nice enough to sign a bottle for our anniversary

I wanted to write a review and thank you to Greg Martinez, the owner and winemaker at Holmes Harbor Cellars. My boyfriend and I visited Holmes Harbor four years ago during our first dating anniversary and thought it was by far the best wine we tried on the island. While there, Greg was kind enough to sign a bottle for us to commemorate the occasion. Fast forward a few years to our fourth anniversary and I decided to order a few bottles to surprise my boyfriend and remind us of our first visit. After discovering the vintage I had ordered was actually no longer in stock, Greg sent me two bottles from his personal collection and again signed a bottle for my boyfriend and I. We just enjoyed celebrating last night and sharing the bottle took us right back to that first year. The exceptional wine Holmes Harbor Cellars makes is reason enough to visit or track down a bottle for purchase, but the personal touch and genuine interest in their customers is something that has made me a lifelong fan. Thank you again for the special memory and I hope to visit again soon.

Wine is outstanding. Love the ambiance of the tents. The grape vines are well tended to. It is fun to see the eagles flying overhead.

Lots of sunny and shaded outdoor seating with some on a patio and some out on the lawn with picnic tables, or inside the building. This is only the second meadery I've been to, and I feel like their flavors are much lighter, without any that I tried leaning towards the sweet dessert style mead. They have flat and bubbly options, as well as some really cool flavors. They have preset flights but on certain days you can create your own, so that's what I did! I personally really liked the spiced apple, PNW chai, and the hopped meadjito was my favorite! They don't make food but they do have a fridge with some items to make mini charcuterie boards! I found out that they sell their products at pcc's and metropolitan markets so I'm excited to grab some more from there!

The meadery is a quirky, welcoming, family-friendly spot and for this event they featured live music, cosplay (sword fighting in full armor) and fire dancing, along with food vendors. They have picnic grounds, a great taproom, and plenty of mead flavors. You can bring your own food m, or visit during an event when they have food available to purchase: for Summer Solstice they had Whidbey Pies (known for their strawberry rhubarb, marrionberry and cherry pies) and a local wood fired pizza maker, as guests. A hierophant is a guide to sacred mysteries, which feels like the perfect name for a spot prepared to introduce you to the mysteries of mead. We recommend checking out their online calendar, to catch an event here.

I was very impressed with the town and really liked Greenbank Cidery which was in the heart of downtown. For one the tasting room for Greenbank is wonderful! The tasting room has a pleasant wooded and sleek look to it but the main draw are all the magnificent views you get here at the taproom. So definitely don't be in a rush when you come here and admire that view from the windows of the water! The cider is equally great! I had the Hi Boy Dry which was a dry cider... as the name implies and it was perfection! It had a great flavor of apple as it should but it wasn't too sweet or anything of the sort and was just sheer perfection. Such a great experience coming to Greenbank Cider and I will definitely pencil it in on a return visit to the island!

The property is in a quiet location, and the fact that it is a working winery as well is unique. It is located just minutes from Langley which is one of our favorite small towns to visit. The property is pastoral and the modern building nestles into the setting well. The rooms are clean, tastefully appointed, and very comfortable. The room we were in was spacious and had plenty of storage and open area. The custom bed frames and headboards really added to the spacious room feel. The common kitchen area is well set up, and the common reading/living room is inviting. We had a view that looked across to Clinton and south Everett. We understood there was a simple breakfast, but wow! We got homemade granola with yogurt and toasted homemade apricot/walnut bread with an apple/pear/fig side salad. We were having battery problems with our vehicle - requiring an overnight battery charge, and finally a jump-start. They were very helpful and made sure we got jumped so we could get over to Les Schwab and get a new battery. This place is our best place to stay in the area! We will go out of our way to get here.
