Lovely little spot w a beautiful view and welcoming hospitality. I tried a glass of the 2017 Radieux and it was delicious. My husband has a glass of 2027 Syrah Boushey which he thoroughly enjoyed. We met the winemaker who was very personable and engaging. It was a delightful afternoon and will definitely be back next time we visit the island. Highly, highly recommend. read more

Whidbey is blessed to have many wineries dotting this island sanctuary. Ott & Hunter is without a doubt, one of the crown jewels of the island. The wines are wonderful and the tasting room is with out parallel. Be sure to take advantage of live music on Saturdays in Summer. We really enjoyed our wine tasting at Ott & Hunter. Chris was incredibly welcoming and we loved each of his wines, from White, to Rose to Red. One of our favorites included the Winesap Syrah and a fantastic Grenache. Chris has amazing sources for his wines from Winesap, Boushey, Elephant Mtn and many other wonderful vineyards. Fun little tasting room in the heart of Langley. While dining at Saltwater across the street, we meet the owner, Dave, and decided to taste some wines. Dave let us know that the little porch (4 seats) was dog friendly so we sat there with my pup and tasted some wines - the tasting included 1 white, 1 rose, and 3 reds. The Saratoga and Syrah were great and I liked the rosé, which I bought a bottle of. The tasting is $10, and is waived if you buy a bottle. Since we sat outside, I didn't see much of the inside but it appeared very busy and preparing for some live music that evening. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed hearing about the wine-making process from Dave. A great experience and fun afternoon activity in Langley! Bonus points for allowing dogs outside and for generous tasting pours :) we will definitely be back next time we're in the area. read more

Good selection of wines - the Malbec and Viognier are standouts. The menu lists no nibbles, though we saw some served to others who knew to ask. Beautiful view and a lovely environment with comfortable seating! The biggest downside was people talking loudly on their phones at their tables. We'd come back if they'd place a sign at the door politely informing that this was a phone convo free area or politely asked guests not to talk loudly and long on their phones while on the premises. It happened twice during our time there, with two different guests, which was a ding that diminished the relaxing feel of the overall experience. read more

We had a phenomenal time at this spot during our honeymoon. We stayed in town and happened to stop in for a glass of wine. Before we knew it, we had made a new friend in our winetender Victoria who was friendly, personable and knowledgeable! I didn't catch the name of the women who was waiting on us but she was very attentive and waived our tasting as an apology for "forgetting about us" when we didn't even feel that way. We joined their wine club years ago, so each spring and autumn we receive their newest offering. It was 5:30 P.M. when we made our way into this wine bar. We asked if we could get flights because it said we could, since they do them until 6:00PM but our server said they stopped doing them already, though it wasn't 6PM. We asked for some appetizers but again they can only serve those after 6:00PM, but we were able to get some hummus & nuts and decided to go with the $10 tasting of five (5) wines. So the wines were fine, the service was okay, the nuts were way too salty & overpriced (They were only Costco brand nuts anyways), and the hummus was nothing to write home about. The worst thing about this place was the GNATS!!!! They were EVERYWHERE!!! I was constantly swatting at them, and it was so FRIGGEN annoying. Maybe this is a time of year when they just get them, I don't know but it ruined the whole experience. read more

Yum! My family and I come at least once every time we visit Langley. The wine selection here is quite small but everything is delicious, my favorite has got to be the Possession and their Rose. The Malbec and Double Bluff are tasty as well. They have musical performances every Sunday and occasionally throughout the week. The food here is nothing to write home about, the nuts and hummus are from Costco and their other foods like the bread plate are only available after 6pm because they're delivered from the local bakeries. That aside, the service, music, wine and people here make it a great place to come back to time and time again. read more

My mom,sister and I were on a girl's weekend to Whidbey. This place looked cute. We each had 2 glasses of expensive wine for the size pour we received. I even bought a bottle or wine. We were there a little over an hour and spent $150. Then out of nowhere this chicken nuggets looking turd of a server asked us If we could wrap things up as they had people waiting. My mom still had a half a glass of wine and this beast asked my sister if she was going to finish her glass of wine as my sister had the glass up to her mouth. Poooor service. Would never step inside this place again. When we asked to speak with a manager a worker actually came over and said he "could be the manager" what a joke. read more

This is by far my favorite wine bar on Whidbey Island . I love that they have live music on the weekends. Not to mention mention their wine is really really good. We chose to stay with white wines and had the Roussanne and the Viognier. The Roussanne take a while to mellow out but it was crisp and somewhat sweet . The Viognier was full of personality, just like and old friend from New Jersey. Full of attitude but you can't help but love her I really love the ambience especially the cozy chairs and the amazing waterfront view. The music was really really great. We enjoyed Dmitri Matheny and his accompanying guitar player Mylo. All in all it was fantastic and we will definitely be back read more

We stopped in for wine tasting and we were pleasantly met at the front by Samantha. She's fun, bubbly, and very knowledgeable about the wines. We ordered a flight and a few glasses. She was right on top of our every need. I thought she might be an owner, but she's not she just loves her job. We really had the best time ( 3 gals on a girls retreat ) and we felt very cared for. I had a 5 dollar tasting here . That 5 bucks comes with 3 or 4 (I forgot which is which haha) tasting of different wines that you choose. The wines are really good. You can really taste the spices, complexity etc. For the 5 bucks, they will also give you the wine glass that you used with their name and logo in it (otherwise I already forgot about the name of this establishment). The interior is also very neat. The store has 2 large windows sweeping with great vistas (mountains and lake). The lady who works there is also friendly and knowledgeable about the products. read more

No complaints here. Stopped in here after lunch across the street. We sat at the bar and for $7 tasted all their wines. The pours weren't quite as generous as you might hope, but It really seems to be a fantastic spot to have a glass of wine as you enjoy the waterfront view. Their logo looks a bit like Oy instead of OM, but i suppose that just makes it stand out more. i believe the Marsanne was the crowd favorite for us. The other half and I hopped on the ferry one sunny summer afternoon to go explore the wineries on Whidbey Island. Of course because we both are terrible with time management, we arrived on the island when most of the wineries were closed! Luckily Ott & Murphy was still open. The tasting was VERY affordable and the wines were delicious! The decor of the small tasting room is absolutely beautiful. Very inviting sleek and trendy. We sat at the bar for a bit and chatted with the gentlemen pouring our wines. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We selected our wines for our full glasses and left the bar to enjoy the seating near the windows to enjoy the view of the water. We enjoyed our wines and left. Later in the evening after dinner across the street we gravitated back to Ott & Murphy as we could hear the wonderful live music pulsating from the open door! We ventured back inside to find the very small tasting room nearly filled to the brim with happy wine tasters. Some were dancing, some were sitting and enjoying the music but everyone was sipping and having a great time. It was fantastic. And a truly wonderful way to end our day trip to the island! My fiancé and I enjoying coming here for chocolate + wine after an always incredible dinner across the street (Prima Bistro). I always order the spicy Ghost Pepper gourmet chocolate--which satiates my fledgling sweet tooth. Nonetheless, feedback from teeth sweeter than mine indicate that an expanded desert section would be highly appreciated. Recommended pairing: O&M Tempranillo. read more

Great vino! Everything in town is supper close. Park your car and hit up the locals! The creations of wine have never disappointed. Living on the "main land" as the local islanders call it, getting over to Whidbey isn't just a quick car ride but well worth going. If you can't make it over check out other venues they hit up during the year. I was pleased to see them at the zoo tasting a few years ago. read more

We had fun sharing a wine flight- 9 wines for $10. It was a casual afternoon activity and the bartender, who I think was Ott, chatted with us and we were well attended to. He immediately gave us glasses of water and we munched on the salted pita chips that were out. We really enjoyed ourselves. The interior is well decorated and has a leather-library feel. The view is stunning. The only downside, which was in no way the fault of Ott& Murphy, was another patron who came in during our tasting and was kind of obnoxious and attention seeking. For instance, they announced to the entire bar that they were going to go use the "toi-lettes." Oh well, we had fun rolling our eyes at each other. read more

First of all, the views are excellent. But that's not where this enjoyable experience ends. So many of their wines were so delicious. We did a tasting (group of 4 of us) and everyone really enjoyed the Tempranillo, double bluff red blend, and Malbec. We took a bottle of the Malbec with us an enjoyed it on a sail around the San Juan Islands the next day. Absolutely perfect. read more
