This is a cute little cider spot located in Langley village. They've got a bunch of fun and creative cider flavors. We took home the Espresso (yes, coffee-infused cider!) and Afterdark (a dry blackberry + blueberry cider); both were so good. We also tried Multi Pass on-site, which had dragon fruit and orange notes. It's a great little stop if you're killing time before the ferry or just exploring the village. There are a few small seats inside, and the guy at the bar (maybe the owner?) was super friendly. We weren't sure what to get and he let us sample a few; really appreciated that. Felt super welcome here. We'll definitely swing by again next time we're on the island!

Langley Village is a little treasure trove of places that make you feel like you've unlocked a secret place in a video game, and Misfit Cider is no exception. Across from the gems Tonic and Ultra House, you will find this lovely spot to sip cider. The owners are often pulling the taps to share their local creations. You can try a flight, get a pour from what's on draft, and take home a bottle or a growler. I prefer sweet things, so I'm a fan of their Harrison cider. It's a great little place to swing through with an island vibe - palm tree decor and reggae music playing. Give them a try - they are a great local business that I want to see thrive - they are rarely very busy whenever I pass through.

Hilarious and literal bathroom humor at this cidery.

Such a fine cidery to go to that is located on Whidbey Island! We tried several different ciders here as tasters like the Coffee Lover which was a cider with infused espresso. I am slowly starting to see this more and more with cideries that this was a good one but Steve felt like it was a bit too strong for him. I eventually got a glass of the Misfit Island Dry which was very good. It wasn't too strong or overbearing and had a nice balance to it. The atmosphere is just so fun and awesome. I has a beachy, palm tree kind of touch to it and with bright colors in the small tasting room and has a fun, positive vibe due to this. It is also a bit quirky too which makes it all the more fun. It sounds like eventually they may move to a bigger location where more customers can visit their taproom and there would be more space but I really like the quaintness of this place. It is definitely off the beaten path but signage to get there is good. Not a whole lot of space for parking but we got lucky and managed to park the pick up we were in so be mindful of that. This is a residential area so streets and semi-rural so streets aren't necessarily wide and it may take some maneuvering in order to get out but in a compact car life should be easier. Steve and I bought some t shirts to add to our memories of this very fun cidery experience. We would definitely return again to Misfit as we enjoyed it's authenticity so much. Hours are pretty limited at this point as they are only open on Saturdays from 1 to 6 pm. But if you go to their website you can see a list of other businesses that have their cider on as a guest tap.

    Yep!

Look what we found! It's a little cove of paradise...that serves cider! Dry, British apple, gluten free....freaky yummy ciders! Come on an adventure and experience a journey of flavors and some of the tastiest ciders ever with the coolest ambulance! 6 stars!

Great cider and colorful tropical vibes!

I was very impressed with the town and really liked Greenbank Cidery which was in the heart of downtown. For one the tasting room for Greenbank is wonderful! The tasting room has a pleasant wooded and sleek look to it but the main draw are all the magnificent views you get here at the taproom. So definitely don't be in a rush when you come here and admire that view from the windows of the water! The cider is equally great! I had the Hi Boy Dry which was a dry cider... as the name implies and it was perfection! It had a great flavor of apple as it should but it wasn't too sweet or anything of the sort and was just sheer perfection. Such a great experience coming to Greenbank Cider and I will definitely pencil it in on a return visit to the island!

People play Frisbee and cornhole, or just chill on the Adirondack chairs. On chillier days or if staying for the evening, bring a blanket, a poncho or a coat. There are multiple vendors that sell food (pizza, vegan ice cream and such), though they do not operate every week-day. There's a drinking room inside, which is also where people congregate in the winter. They've got a large variety of their ciders on tap accompanied by helpful descriptions. The bartenders are friendly and will steer you right if you need help making a selection. There's flights and glass pours. The flights are fun - I highly recommend doing it! My friends and I, we do a flight per two people, and then we each order a glass (or two) of our favorites. During cold winter, they also sell hot cider (not-alcoholic), which you can have spiked with apple spirit. On week-end nights, there's often live music playing in the early evening in the big tent / dining hall. It's open air, so bring a blanket or a coat

It is a stark contrast from the consumerist drudgery, hyper-stimulation, and quotidian violence of the modern U.S. market-scape which has metastasized like a bad rash over the land. An alternative way of relating to strangers and community members alike, around long wooden tables, listening to local folk performers stirs up a sense of communality from long-ago genetic and cultural memories. Eating good food, and drinking from a curated collection of ciders each infused and brewed slightly differently makes you feel "rich" in the true sense of humanity and wellbeing. I recommend this unusual vision of communal gathering -- where you can wander between wooden beam-constructed huts in which various food vendors are selling specialty items, then gather to sit down and eat in a large tent. Here you can also enjoy open farm vistas, and explore some planted rows. There is whimsical art festooned around the collection of low-slung huts. The ground is not paved so you can feel as if you are in touch with the earth. My food choice was a bahn mi sandwich which was excellently executed with toasted bread, both tasty and filling. It used a tempeh made with wheat grown in Chimacum itself. It had beautifully pickled daikon, carrots, and cilantro while the mayo was warming. Missing jalapenos were compensated for with chili sauces that you could custom add. I washed this down with a small six ounce glass of a mix of ciders because I couldn't decide my favorite flavors (strawberry infused cider was my jam that day). Be aware that food vendors will be different depending on the day of your visit. I feel that the care & finesse with which the bahn mi was executed is an indication of the high caliber of curated, prepared food available for purchase at this "farm" experience. Get back to the land and lower your blood pressure at Finn River Farm and Cidery!
