Best place to stay in Port Townsend Washington. It is a delightful and completely redone bed and breakfast with all the modern necessities. The breakfast made hot every morning is just amazing. Hot cookies every night. Wonderful staff, wonderful linens, wonderful rooms. You will not be disappointed. Walking distance from everywhere in town.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Inn. Decorated so elegantly and very calming. Perfect place for a mini vacation romantic break! The pictures online are nice but seeing it and being here in person it's even better. We stayed in the Rainier suite. Absolutely gorgeous, heated tile floors by bathtub and bathroom. I loved it, had a nice view of the water and the bed was very comfortable! Pauline is so gracious! Had breakfast platter in our room and it was the perfect way to start our days! We will definitely be returning here!

Came by on a Friday in August for the weekend. It had been several years since I was last in Port Townsend and glad to have the opportunity to return. The Inn is a beautiful home situated in a fairly central location within walking distance to the downtown shopping district and the weekend farmers market. We booked a room on the 2nd floor and the views were quite impressive. We shared the balcony with other guests on the floor but this was not an issue with us. Unfortunately the weekend we stayed was a very hot weekend and the lack of air conditioning did make sleeping a challenge. The breakfasts are beautifully presented and nice to have the option for lattes in the morning. The fridge in available to store beverages or leftovers if needed and we loved the freshly made chocolate chip cookies in the evening. The owners, Dave and Carolyn, were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. They also allowed us to store our bikes in their garage and gave us advice on bike trails, parks and beaches. And just a heads up, the Ravenscroft Inn, like many B&Bs do not have TV's in the rooms nor do they have a common area with TV viewing access. Wifi is available if needed. While B&Bs are not for everyone, if you are looking for a quality B&B in Port Townsend, then look no further than the Ravenscroft Inn.

    Complimentary celebratory bottle of Champagne!

We decided to treat ourselves to a staycation and wow was it a treat! What an exquisite experience with top notch accommodations and luxurious amenities. Five stars for the room, service, communication and food! We were celebrating a birthday and we're treated to a bottle of Champagne upon arrival along with an early check in. As the Inn is located uptown, the walk downtown is a breeze right to our appointment at Soak on the Sound followed by dinner at the Fountain Cafe. We enjoyed the robes, plush bed and fire place. What a relaxing experience. Stay here, your host Pauline will take the best care of you. From the owners of La Cocina Port Townsend!

Just spent the night here for our 23rd wedding anniversary and it was absolutely wonderful! Our host Pauline was an excellent communicator and greeted us at the door when we arrived. We were immediately offered everything from coffee to shortbread cookies and other snacks. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was quite comfortable. Chocolates on the bed and more cookies next to the coffee machine! Breakfast was also lovely. We had a salmon and goat cheese frittata with roasted potatoes and an apple crumble cake along with yogurt, fresh fruit and granola. The bed-and-breakfast is just a five minute walk to all the downtown has to offer. And Pauline is more than happy to give you a map with suggestions. We would totally recommend this spot and definitely would stay again!!

I decided to do a staycation I live in seattle area and had a long weekend to get away nearby. I say this place and feel in love I stayed for the weekend and every second of it was relaxing and peaceful. I know I will be going back. The inn has menus and books of local places to try, its walking distance to almost anything you'll want to see. The rooms are clean and decorated well. They make you breakfast in the mornings and it is local and high quality. Everyone that was at the inn or worked their were extremely welcoming. After writing this it makes me want to go back ASAP. Such an amazing place I will recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed in room 6. It's an old Victorian house with a number of antique artifacts including instruments, guns, books, etc. There is no elevator - you have to climb the stairs to get to your room or downstairs to the billiards table & guest fridge. The innkeeper is extremely sweet. She welcomed us in and explained about the house. At 9am (prompt), she serves breakfast, which was a delight! It was a full 3 course meal - everything home-made (or from a local bakery). Honestly, the breakfast here was better than our dinner at a restaurant the night before! Our room was very cute - it looked like the inside of a doll house. For my husband, who is a tall man (6'2), he felt a bit claustrophobic because the ceiling comes inwards. But for my 5' self, I didn't mind. Everything was clean and had a nice presentation. They even had home-made cookies waiting! We really enjoyed our stay, and it was nice to have a sit down breakfast with the other guests and chat together. There's also a sweet doggo named Ursa who you may see putter around. For a nice weekend away from the city, this is a very cozy quaint place to stay.

My husband and I stayed here three nights, and, since I added the third night long after our initial reservation, we had to change rooms. This gave us a peek at two of the three rooms offered. First off, Charlie and Barb are two of the nicest people I've met - so warm and friendly, wanting to make sure you're happy. Their house is up the hill from the downtown area, but still an easy walk unless you have mobility issues. If you're staying in one of the 2 rooms upstairs, be forewarned that, as with many older homes, the stairs are steep and narrow - so lugging up large luggage isn't easy - but isn't terrible either - well, I had the hubby get one bag, and Charlie grabbed the other one. There's coffee or tea out in the mornings early (based on what you've told Charlie you drink), plus more at their wonderful, large, creative, made-with-love breakfasts. Oy-vay! We were spoiled! There was no TV in our first room, so we did what we saw another guest do one night - we used the common area TV for a late night viewing w/ our store-bought nibbles. Although, Barb already had nibbles out for people - yes, I had both hers and mine! Our last night was in the cottage (or carriage house?) down in back. It has cork floors (so neat!), a large modern bathroom, spacious bedroom, and a TV. Oh - and a mini fridge too. Wow. A great room to escape to. Lastly, I loved the little town of Port Townsend. I WILL be back, and I WILL stay w/ Charlie and Barb again - if they'll have me!

There is a cute garden filled with the owner's sculptures for reading. The backyard has chairs with a great view out over the water and surrounded by striking scuptures, lavender, and even a small hen house. One detail - if it's very hot, leaving the windows open at night is a problem because the town chooses to blast hourly church bells even in the middle of night!? This would be a problem for any B&B on the bluff. I hope that was a temporary set-up, what a bad idea! It is about 5 blocks from the coastal downtown, an easy walk along the top of the bluff.

I would have liked some breakfast from the happy and fat chickens in the back yard but was not asked :-(( All in all, would not stay again. It was lovely and clean but the noise was too much. Also, no TV in the small room which would have been a nice distraction to drown out the bells and the continuous police sirens, motorcycles and car horns going on. Opt instead to take the staircase that connects Uptown and Downtown vs. the Monroe St. hill that runs directly into downtown. While on your way to the stairs swing by Aldrich's for a cup of coffee. I would encourage anyone that has had a negative experience to reach directly out to Ann with your concerns. Port Townsend's main economic driver is tourism.
