Stayed just one night at Huber's Inn. I had a very relaxing stay, overall the Inn was good. Down side - Too expensive for what was offered.

We stayed in room 6. It's an old Victorian house with a number of antique artifacts including instruments, guns, books, etc. There is no elevator - you have to climb the stairs to get to your room or downstairs to the billiards table & guest fridge. The innkeeper is extremely sweet. She welcomed us in and explained about the house. At 9am (prompt), she serves breakfast, which was a delight! It was a full 3 course meal - everything home-made (or from a local bakery). Honestly, the breakfast here was better than our dinner at a restaurant the night before! Our room was very cute - it looked like the inside of a doll house. For my husband, who is a tall man (6'2), he felt a bit claustrophobic because the ceiling comes inwards. But for my 5' self, I didn't mind. Everything was clean and had a nice presentation. They even had home-made cookies waiting! We really enjoyed our stay, and it was nice to have a sit down breakfast with the other guests and chat together. There's also a sweet doggo named Ursa who you may see putter around. For a nice weekend away from the city, this is a very cozy quaint place to stay.

The food was absolutely exquisite. We ate breakfast beside the sea both mornings and Natalie did a wonderful job serving us. She was so friendly and thoughtful around our dietary needs. We felt very cared for and the environment was so serene. Dave even offered to wash our car after it got some bird dung on it! This is still the best place to stay in Port Townsend, we'll definitely be coming back!

Authentic windows, big baseboards, excellent charm in doors too. That is just the beginning. Step inside! We booked this lovely home last minute as a four day getaway. Greeted by the owner's family we felt instantly at home. A quiet warmth with fireplaces, candles, easy chairs, a cribbage board, and a full coffee tea bar in the main room. Out the sliding door is a full covered porch and comfy chairs to watch the tides roll in or out. Very protected by the wind. Humming birds dance on the side. Wood deck chiefs and a swing on the lawn. We chose the Lighthouse room with king size bed. Amazing mattress, window view of the beach and lighthouse of Walden Park. Nicely decorated in nautical beach old time and up dated treasures. Window open to hear the surf. Steam heat is amazing warmth. beautiful room with a sitting room and full bath. If you need to take an extra person there is an extra room connecting with bed. We did not need this room, but nice if we bring a few with us. This is the one you want to check on first. If the website is not working with the WiFi (rain and storms happen in PNW). Then give them a call. Dave answered all our questions and booked us in. This is after one year of covid 19 and this place is clean and staff genuinely kind and responsible. We will come again. The sunsets are surrounding on walks from beach house to downtown port Townsend. We came in rain and still had a fabulous time. Beach house does not have a TV but doe totally relaxation who really needs one. WiFi and electric for cell phone is in place. We ditched it all to enjoy the simple time of a beautiful beach house on a walkable beach and close to marina. We will come again!!

My husband and I stayed here three nights, and, since I added the third night long after our initial reservation, we had to change rooms. This gave us a peek at two of the three rooms offered. First off, Charlie and Barb are two of the nicest people I've met - so warm and friendly, wanting to make sure you're happy. Their house is up the hill from the downtown area, but still an easy walk unless you have mobility issues. If you're staying in one of the 2 rooms upstairs, be forewarned that, as with many older homes, the stairs are steep and narrow - so lugging up large luggage isn't easy - but isn't terrible either - well, I had the hubby get one bag, and Charlie grabbed the other one. There's coffee or tea out in the mornings early (based on what you've told Charlie you drink), plus more at their wonderful, large, creative, made-with-love breakfasts. Oy-vay! We were spoiled! There was no TV in our first room, so we did what we saw another guest do one night - we used the common area TV for a late night viewing w/ our store-bought nibbles. Although, Barb already had nibbles out for people - yes, I had both hers and mine! Our last night was in the cottage (or carriage house?) down in back. It has cork floors (so neat!), a large modern bathroom, spacious bedroom, and a TV. Oh - and a mini fridge too. Wow. A great room to escape to. Lastly, I loved the little town of Port Townsend. I WILL be back, and I WILL stay w/ Charlie and Barb again - if they'll have me!

It is hard find on the web even knowing it's address, which is probably why there was space. We rented the room, apparently there is also a guest house that was already taken. Very nice room filled with artworks of many kinds, quiet, reasonable price, and the owner was easy to find and quite pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is an option we didn't choose. There is a cute garden filled with the owner's sculptures for reading. The backyard has chairs with a great view out over the water and surrounded by striking scuptures, lavender, and even a small hen house. One detail - if it's very hot, leaving the windows open at night is a problem because the town chooses to blast hourly church bells even in the middle of night!? This would be a problem for any B&B on the bluff. I hope that was a temporary set-up, what a bad idea! It is about 5 blocks from the coastal downtown, an easy walk along the top of the bluff.

We thought, "surely they will stop after midnight!" But nooooooo..... slept like 30 minutes all night anticipating the next dinging session. Also, we didn't get breakfast and wanted it, and didn't know whether to ask or not. Felt a bit awkward. I would have liked some breakfast from the happy and fat chickens in the back yard but was not asked :-(( All in all, would not stay again. It was lovely and clean but the noise was too much. Also, no TV in the small room which would have been a nice distraction to drown out the bells and the continuous police sirens, motorcycles and car horns going on. Again, not the owner's fault at all, but I have had quieter nights on Broadway in NYC. Good in a pinch! :-))

Take in the charm of a small community, the beautiful Victorian homes and wild deer that surround you. Opt instead to take the staircase that connects Uptown and Downtown vs. the Monroe St. hill that runs directly into downtown. While on your way to the stairs swing by Aldrich's for a cup of coffee. I would encourage anyone that has had a negative experience to reach directly out to Ann with your concerns. Port Townsend's main economic driver is tourism. All B&B owners in town are sensitive to visitor experiences in the area and want to make sure all of them are positive.

It is a jewel of a cottage - warm, cozy, comfortably appointed. Feels like home - not impersonal as a motel or hotel.
