Colette's Bed and Breakfast - Entrance to the Lavender Room

Colette's Bed and Breakfast

(39 reviews)

This is an amazing Bed &Breakfast! The best we've been to, and we're no strangers to B &B's. At…read moreColette's you will get a true B&B experience--from the pristine and romantic suites to the full gourmet breakfasts to all the added touches. I can't say it enough, this is one inn you dont want to skip if you're even on the Olympic Peninsula. and wonderful staff will have you feeling like a VIP. The common area is beautifully and stylishly furnished. They will supply you with clean, warm blankets to snuggle up to as you sit by the fire pit for Happy hour, which takes place every afternoon. The breakfasts are very tasty, and it's clear that great pride goes into their preparation and presentation! And might I say the garden area overlooking the sea is a slice of paradise. The grounds are lush and private enough that you're not running into other guests very often. The hubby and I loved the Lavender suite, which has a great view of the garden and sea. The bath was spacious and upscale as well. If you need ideas and suggestions for how to explore Olympic National Park, just ask. You won't be disappointed with the recommendations you receive. Yes, you will pay more than you might at a local hotel. But the experience here at Colette's makes it worth every penny. Don't ever change!

Truly beautiful place, right on the water. The landscaping is exquisite, and the rooms are very…read morecomfortable. The service was great as well. Would have gotten 5 stars except for the following; 1. Each time you come or go you have to get out of your car and manually open/close the gate. For what they charge for rooms they should have an electric gate and give people the code. 2. Breakfast is only served at 9AM, and often you want to get out early to beat the crowds to hiking/scenic places. 3. The ice machine has been broken for quite some time, so if you want ice later in the evening you need to hope the house manager is around. Otherwise it is a wonderful place to stay.

Just spent a wonderful weekend here. Dwight met us upon arrival. He gave us lots of great advice…read moreon what to see and do and where to eat. Our Dragonfly Suite had a nice outdoor area that faced the forest, great for summer evenings. Cozy, comfortable, and luxurious accommodations for sure. We arranged to bring our dog and this was such a perfect place. There was so much acreage to roam around and explore, which made it fun for our big dog and us as well. LML is a truly special place. And the breakfasts--wow. Chef-prepared food with local ingredients. This was a bit of a splurge but I don't think we'll want to stay anywhere else while we're on the peninsula.

Now THIS is a bed & breakfast! No continental breakfasts here, no siree! My husband and I needed a…read morequick, last minute getaway, and after a bit of research, we decided on Lost Mountain Lodge. And we are SO glad we did. We checked in Friday night and out Sunday. My husband handled the booking, so I can't speak to that, but Dwight (the owner) gave us a thorough rundown of the area and gave us some great suggestions for food and hiking when we checked in - no need to spend time researching! ROOM - We stayed in the Creekside room which was fabulous! So spacious, double sinks and shower heads, inviting fireplace and comfortable bed. What more could you ask for?? BREAKFAST - No continental breakfast crap here! How about a 5 star breakfast instead? So filling and tasty with veggies and fruit. You will not leave for a hike crashing. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Hidden Cliff Danger: Property sits on "dramatic height cliff" but deliberately hides this:…read more* Marketing photos show safe lawn - actually dangerous cliff drop * NO warning signs at cliff edge * Booking page lists bed heights/step counts but omits DEADLY cliff hazard * This is willful concealment that could kill pets or children Poor Design - Zero Privacy/Separation: * NO barriers between balconies - pets can easily wander between guest areas * Shared garden spaces mean other guests walk by your windows constantly * Pay $500-700+ for "views" but must keep curtains closed for any privacy * Can't enjoy the premium view you paid for without being completely exposed Disgusting Cleanliness Issues: Serious ant infestation throughout the room: * Ants crawling on the bed and carpet * Paying $500-700+ per night for luxury accommodations with bugs * Completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one claiming "Best Housekeeping" awards * Shows their "award-winning" standards are a complete lie Update to their response: Notice they can't dispute a single FACT I stated - instead they deflect with irrelevant details and attack my character. This proves everything I documented is true. Their response proves everything I said about deceptive practices: "We lowered from $250 as a courtesy" = LIE - They demanded $250 with ZERO documentation - Only reduced to $100 when I demanded proof they couldn't provide - I NEVER asked for a refund - they voluntarily dropped it because they knew they were wrong (btw we don't care about it) - This wasn't "courtesy" - they were caught overcharging "Policies in clear view" = LIE - Policy was placed ON THE BED, not visible at check-in - Their website details bed heights but hides deadly cliff dangers - Marketing shows "safe lawn" - reality is dangerous cliff drop Real issues they won't address: - Deadly cliff with no warning signs - No barriers between balconies - Ant infestation in "award-winning" rooms - Misleading marketing that endangers guests Instead of fixing safety hazards, they attack customers who expose the truth. Other travelers deserve to know about these dangerous conditions. lol looks like the owner has tracker record to be a scammer for a while : https://www.peninsuladailynews.com/news/jig-lure-restaurant-hopes-sink-as-new-business-model-folds/

Very uncomfortable experience, the space is cold and the service from the hosts is even colder. If…read moreyour religious this might be the place for you lots of religious reading materials laying around, oddly liberty bells. Coffee is basically Keurig machine even though the hosts brags and sells thier own roasted coffee. The front host/attendant basically uses the front lobby as an office so you will hear them on the phone and zoom/conference calls. Don't try and get any reading or work done in the main room while your staying. If thirsty you are provided two bottles of water in your fridge for a two day visit. Otherwise you can drink faucet water from your bathroom. Also no ice machines or microwaves unless maybe your a vip? Hosts either live in the basement or the attic.. and you might have a preacher living in the white barn by the front gate. No walking access outside the property.. Showers are the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel.. the beds are stiff as a board and the pillows are weirdly over sized.. sheets were awful also.. As for the food could of been a saving grace.. expect every dish is basically sugar... They offer maple syrup but there are so cheap you can tell it's just high fructose corn syrup with coloring.. Hope this saves someones money from this awkward social experience..
