Had a very pleasant stay while in town for the weekend. I was amazed by how nice of a room we were able to get (2 bedrooms with 2 king beds and a kitchenette) for only like $120. I've seen Super 8's charge more for less. It was clean and the property well maintained. The employee working the front office was friendly. I took away a star for 2 reasons. The pillows are awful. Very flimsy and unsupportive. They seem to know this because they put 6 of them on each bed. But I'm a side sleeper and 2 of them weren't enough, but 3 was too many. In the middle of the night I woke up with horribly knotted up neck and shoulders and had to tuck a couple of folded towels under my pillows just to get comfortable . If I had stayed there longer than just one night, I would've gone to Walmart and bought my own pillow. The second reason was that the remote control was not compatible with the television. The buttons on the cable box had to be pressed manually to get the TV to work. Not really a big deal, but the tv keeps the kiddos entertained so they aren't bouncing off the walls and disturbing other guests, so a minor inconvenience. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. I'll just remember to bring pillows from home. read more

This was my second visit to Olympic View Lodge and I am so happy with everything!!!! Aimee is the BEST front-of-house person. Traditionally, I would stay at chain hotels, but after my two stays at this lovely little place, the big box hotels will never receive my business again. The room was super clean, comfortable, convenient and cozy. Water pressure was great, bed was very comfortable, and the location CANNOT be beat. Fabulous facility if you travel with dogs, because there are designated dog rooms and plenty of places to walk your dog safely right outside the room. Very quiet, which is not something I usually experience at other hotels. Absolutely a 10/10 experience for me and my dogs!!!! read more

Would I stay again? No. Lucky we were in a room in the back (128). Didn't hear any road noise but heard all the other lodgers. The people upstairs and the those next to our headboard. The shower was fine and having 2 sinks was handy. The towels were soft, the blow dryer was a bit more than a soft breeze. The bed was hard (I woke up several times because my hips were hurting), and the sheets were very scratchy. So it's a no for me. Next time I will check out the cottages by the Dungeness Pit. read more

This hotel canceled our confirmed reservation stating to Expedia that we had canceled. We made the reservation in May knowing vacancies would be limited for a Saturday in mid June. The hotel called me June 2 stating they had overbooked. We were definitely the people to cancel with the price they were now asking for the room. We stayed here for my daughter's golf tournament. The room was very clean but still outdated. For example, most modern hotels have beds with a board on the bottom so one can't crawl or stuff can't accidentally go under the bed. This one doesn't so my puppy was able to crawl from one side to the other. Also I couldn't open the door to the bathroom or shut the door until I lifted the toilet seat because the toilet seat cover was too long. We had a room facing the street and it was LOUD. Lots of cars drove by even at 5 am! I really wanted to cancel and leave after the first night but they don't allow you to cancel without 48 hours notice. Stay away. 1. Safety issue!! Desk closes at 10. After then, they will leave the key in an unlocked room for you to find. The motel is on a busy road and anyone can be in your room!! Scary. There is no staff there after hours and no one to call for issues. Summer sunset is at 9:00. Light remains until 10. Not accommodating to travelers. Office opens at 9:00 AM when we were already out for the day. 2. SEVERE Mold issues in the shower. Emailed, texted and left a message. No response! Some minimal scrubbing was done the next day but most of the mold remained. I used a towel so I did not have to step on the disgusting floor. YUCK and YIKES (Scary). read more

By writing this review I will be placed on the hotels "do not rent a room to this person" list. Yes the owner has one. We booked our room 2 months before a kids sporting tournament. After driving 3 hours we arrived at the hotel at 6.30pm, 2.5 hours before they close. We were told our room had been cancelled by Hotels.com and the hotel was full. We contacted Hotels.com and they told us the hotel had cancelled the booking, no doubt to sell it at a higher price. There were no more hotels in the area and so we had to withdraw from the tournament losing $150 and drive the 3 hours back home. DO NOT STAY HERE AS YOU MAY FIND WHEN YOU GET THERE THE GREEDY OWNER HAS RENTED YOUR ROOM TO SOMEONE ELSE! read more

We've been to Sequim several times but this is the first time we stayed at the Olympic View Inn. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and given a quiet room upstairs. The bed was quite comfortable and the room seems to have been refreshed. Everything seemed new: the paint, fixtures, and the refrigerator kept things very cold. This place was nice and reasonably priced. You can walk to many food places, Especially our favorite restaurant for breakfast, the oak table. We heard the Hwy 101 Diner has good pasta and chicken fried steak. We'll have to try that next time. We will definitely plan on staying here again. read more

The most bonkers slow internet I've ever used in a hotel. It was like being transported back to dial up. Place has a funny smell.

We have not yet been to the hotel but I have now spoken to two staff members who seemed to be very rude. First was when I called to make the reservation. Staff was not friendly then says well this is a pet room do you have a pet? I told her no and I asked if could still book room. I ended up booking online due to her rude service. About 8pm we received a call wanting to know where we were and an estimated time of arrival. I told her not sure at the moment is there a time we need to be there. She informed us closes at 10. Okay well thanks for informing us but when you make these calls you should consider why one may be in the area staying in a hotel not everyone is here for pleasure, work, or vacation. Had to stay over for my teen to take the ACT. We don't usually stay at Inns but I booked at the last minute. Most recent reviews on Expedia gave 10/10 so thought I'd try it. Glad we did. Nice hotel it's an older hotel but it has been kept up and is aging very well, The room we had was suite it had 2 large king beds and for a change enough pillows to be comfortable... Our room had nice colors on the walls of each room, the bathroom had been updated with modern amenities. Over all the place is nice and has been kept up unlike other hotels we have stayed at. Booked this place for an overnight stay after a work reunion. My husband, our dog and I found our room to be exceptionally clean, if somewhat unremarkable. The beds were very comfortable and the dreaded traffic noise was not a thing at all. The place was not worth our money. The shower was warm never hot. Which is needed especially in the colder months. The bed sheets were extremely thin and we were freezing at night so we had to turn on the heater to 74 degrees. The first night we settled in and there was a "Giant House Spider" that was crawling around which was very scary! My bf and I caught it and threw it outside. Also the front desk person "Daniel" was so unprofessional and extremely rude to my bf and I because we had pets and our reservation/room that we made online was supposedly not pet friendly. It didn't say anything about specific rooms being pet friendly. Which the online reservation to the hotel said pet friendly, that's all. So the room we booked wasn't and we were coming in late night and we asked if we would get charged more on the room and Daniel asked the manger/owner if we could possibly not get charged for the 15 per night extra for pets and the manager/owner said no. As we complained about being charged extra and how we needed to decided if we even wanted to stay there we told Daniel we'd call back. Literally 8min later Daniel calls us asking if we are going to cancel or not in a very rude tone the entire conversation. At this point I was not having it (especially after we told him we call him back Just a few minutes before). So I told him that we still had time to think about it and as I was talking Dainel rudely cut me off and kept saying they close at 10pm so he needed to know now. Which the time was 9:15pm! At this point I was rude back because what the hell! I told him we still have 45min and I had to speak over him as he continued to try to cut me off. So I told him we would call him back when we figure it out and we didn't need to tell him right then because they didn't close until 10pm. Extremely rude and unprofessional to speak to us that way. I've been in customer service for a while and no way would I ever do this to a customer/paying guest. Since we didn't have another other place to go and we didn't have much money to spend we had to stay here and get charged 45$ extra for our dogs when the reservation didn't say we would be charged more. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

We checked in and were told that a group of golfers were staying at the hotel and that it was completely full. Shortly after we were made aware that the golfers were using the room below us as a party room. About 35 of them were drinking, swearing and generally being extremely noisy. One of them said "I cannot believe they gave you that room. We're here doing this every year". He attempted to switch rooms and take ours himself but the manager said that they wouldn't do that. One of the golfers, quite drunk by 6 pm swore at and insulted my wife for no reason. We finally received a refund and went to another motel. This situation was absolutely unacceptable. Needless to say we will never stay at this motel again. read more

It was my fault for not calling; however, when I did call and explain that we were in quarantine, they said it did not matter and I was charged full price for a stay that never happened. We stay here every time we come that way! They are so nice and most accommodating! We needed our room a bit earlier then check in and they made it happen! We get the same room with a cute little porch outside to sit and drink wine after a long day of selling at the fests. The rooms are clean and nice with a small coffee pot and all the comforts one might need. Ice machine and sodas down the hall. The owner is so so nice and is happy to help anyway he can. I'm giving 5 stars because this little Inn met all of our expectations for a much-needed road trip exploring the Olympic Peninsula. We were looking for simple but clean, safe, pet-friendly and well-maintained accommodations that fit our budget. We weren't looking to spend a lot for luxury or amenities, we wanted a place to get a good night's sleep before getting up to go exploring the beautiful PNW scenery. This was also my first and much-needed venture out since the beginning of the Covid pandemic. Our double room was very clean - and I'm a strip the bed down to the mattress inspection kind of girl. Beds were comfy, it was a quiet and peaceful night, and so awesome to bring our dog. This was exactly what we were hoping for, stopping for the night in Sequim. No breakfast included, and nobody even at front desk in the morning to check you out, so they just send an email with receipt. They charged us $60 more than what we were quoted. Emailed back; nothing. Called and spoke to young kid who couldn't help, but said he would speak with manager. One week later; nothing. I get that it's summer and rates are typically higher, but this was mid-week and there is nothing special about this hotel. $220 per night is not only outrageous, but it's not what they quoted over the phone. And I know we didn't misconstrue as we had compared against the option where our close friends stayed, which was at the casino and they said was incredible rooms for $150 per night. I previously gave Olympic View (used to be called Red Ranch Inn) a very good rating, I am creating this second review for a particular reason, noise and safety. The last 2 times I have stayed at Olympic View there has been disturbances in the late evening, between 10:00 PM to Midnight. I called the Police on the first instance of a crazy/drunk young man running around and yelling, the second instance was someone pounding on the walls. I would suggest the owners have someone available later in the evening or all night if possible, I probably won't stay here again and will only lodge where there is someone posted all night at a lodging. read more

The rooms are okay and I feel like the price is not very fair considering I had to clean my room the last 2 days that I have been here. Housekeeping has not touched my room the last 2 days and when I brought that to the attention of the gentleman at the front desk he apologized the first time but the second time I was directed to the ladies that cleaned the rooms. I had asked for a vacuum to clean my room and ask for new towels as we were out. The lady asked if I wanted her to do it or I do it myself which she should have just vacuumed the room considering the last 2 days they failed to do their job so I told her I would do it. We knew housekeeping started cleaning at 9 so we would leave at 9 in hopes our room would get serviced but sadly no luck. For doing someone else's job I should get a discount on my room bc as a guest staying here I should not have to do someone else's job. read more

Did some research and found this diamond in the rough. Stayed Friday 4/6 thru Sunday 4/8/18. Check in was super easy and the gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant and gave us some good tourist tips! (Thank you!). This hotel doesn't look like much on the outside and is split into two buildings separated by a small side road. Looks can be deceiving as it has a nice charm to it AND it's super quiet. The "annex" (back building) was nice and quiet and provided a great base for our tourist operations. Microwave, small fridge, coffeemaker, hair dryer, ironing board and iron provided in room. Direct Tv was. I've as well with a flat screen. The room was renovated and the bed was nice and room and bathroom were spotless. Linens and bedding were clean and bed was comfortable. I checked to see if there was dust on the headboard of on the picture frames. NOPE! Your cleaning staff clearly knows what they are doing. Anthony Melchior would be proud. The hotel is towards the Walmart side of town. Easy ingress and egress. I would recommend this over a chain hotel ANY day! The wife and I plan on staying there again when we come up the peninsula. And the location is fantastic as there are plenty of restaurants and coffee places close by, even a Convenience store next door where the proprietor offers hot homemade Indian dishes! Okay, so this place is old and nothing fancy, but there's certainly nothing wrong with staying here for a night or two! We actually had a room on the first floor, and it had a patio area with chairs. It was nice to be somewhere that we could sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean. THEY STOLE MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND TRIED TO RACK UP HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS!!! The credit card I used to book the room, I hardly ever use.. I mean, I NEVER use it.. but I decided to use it to book the hotel over Thanksgiving.. a few days later I received a fraud alert from Chase Bank (THANK GOODNESS!) I had to deny those charges and cancel the card. I knew it was them because that was the only thing I used that card for in over a year! I'M BEYOND DISGUSTED! DO. NOT. STAY. AT. THIS. INN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only that... We got there and our room keys didn't work!! They said "it's weird it's been happening all day"... I read some of these other reviews from a year ago and other people said the same thing!! It took them FOREVER to get us into another room and we were standing outside most of the time in the freezing cold! The beds didn't feel clean and an hour before check out housekeeping comes BANGING on the door! We were told that wouldn't happen. This motel was nothing spectacular, but a good place spend the night. It loses a star for being highly overpriced at $129 before taxes ($143 after). It is a basic motel. It looks like it has new carpet and furnishings, but in a very outdated motel style. Not sure why they would do that. The beds were comfortable enough, but the sheets were very scratchy. One weird thing is that when I dried my hands on a washcloth, my hands were glittery. Hmmmm.... My son and I were on a weekend adventure up in the region. This was one of the more highly rated places online and the price was reasonable so we booked here. What you get is a pretty basic motel room. It felt old, but was clean enough. Noise and temperature control were the biggest issues. You can see light all around the door frame so noise and air from outside were free to enter. The HVAC is an old-fashioned unit under the window. When we got into our room, it was off and the room was freezing. I cranked it up and got the room to a comfortable temp, then backed it down to 65 to sleep, but it came on all night and is pretty noisy so it woke us all through the night. The bed was comfortable (once I pulled off someone else's hair from the exposed blanket ). When planning our weekend we had thought we might stay two nights, but after getting to the room, decided to just stay the one. read more

We were happy with this motel for our stay of three nights. The rooms were large & clean, the rates were very reasonable, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Despite its name, there wasn't really a view, but the location felt safe and it is convenient to Safeway, downtown and the 101. THE GOOD This is pretty nice for a motel. It's more of a utilitarian room than a luxury place, but it's on the high end of the motel range in terms of comfort & quality. I wouldn't choose it for a romantic weekend or special occasion, but it wouldn't ruin one either. The beds were plenty comfortable--not luxurious but nothing that anybody would complain about. There was a little bit of road noise but nothing unreasonable. The bathrooms were clean and nice, and there was ample place to hang clothes. The interiors were nice, but the decor is nothing special and we didn't have much of a view. The WiFi was free, reliable and fast. We had ample bandwidth to stream video at full quality from Amazon on two of the three nights, and at low quality on the third night. Nicely, the WiFi had standard encryption and a WPA2 password rather than the insecure pop-up proxy used by most hotels. There were no issues with using a VPN and other non-HTTP traffic. (For the non-technical, this means the WiFi is less vulnerable to other guests spying on your browsing than most hotels and it's less likely to have issues if you need to use special software for work.) We had reasonable cellular reception for both AT&T and Verizon (this can be an issue in Sequim). MINOR ISSUES We did find that the iron was broken and the TV's picture was messed up. Presumably they would have fixed it but we didn't have a chance to let them know until we were checking out. The refrigerators weren't very cold: our drinks still needed ice and we decided not to try to store food in them. (We didn't see a way to adjust the temperature, but didn't try very hard.) THE "SUITES" One mild word of warning: we had the "two bedroom with two kings." They describe this as a suite, but that's a bit of a stretch. You enter into the main room, which has the television, the kitchen, the desk and a king-sized bed. Then there's a door to a small second room that contains the bathroom and the second bed. In this "suite," the person staying in the front room can't use the bathroom without going right through the back bedroom. The person in the back bedroom can't watch TV, use the kitchen or leave without going into the front "bedroom." To be a two-bedroom suite, I would expect both people to be able to watch TV, use the restroom, and exit the suite without walking through someone's bedroom. I would describe this instead as a one-bedroom suite with an extra king bed in the sitting area. It was more private than just a single room with two king beds, but it's probably closer to that experience than truly having separate bedrooms. It wasn't a problem for our trip, but the layout would make any kind of intimacy nearly impossible. Walking through each other's bedrooms while people are sleeping or getting ready is virtually unavoidable. That said, it could work for two couples if they just wanted a place to sleep and weren't too anxious about people walking through to get to the shower & bathroom. If you're looking for private space or more than just a place to sleep, I'd spring for two separate rooms. (We were only two people and really just wanted two separate king-sized beds. It still ended up being an inexpensive upgrade from a single room with two beds. I would book this room again, but felt a little unhappy with the way it was described. I think they should put the floor plan on the website so people are clear about what they're booking: it currently feels a bit deceptive.) OVERALL: RECOMMENDED I've spent much of my review on the things people should watch out for, but please note that this is a four-star review. I would *absolutely* stay here again, and probably will. I would absolutely recommend the Olympic View Inn to anybody looking for a clean, comfortable place to sleep. read more

I would give this 4 stars because my room had a strong artificial scent when you walk in and the windows were open. It was cold at first but warmed up quick. Lamp shades could be replaced. Yet the room was super clean. What makes it 5 star is the front desk. They allowed me to use another room for a meeting to ensure good internet connection. They were very protective of the patrons having a good experience. Above and beyond. Not sure many would offer that as a solution. I made sure to think them. read more

Not much wrong with this place. We were a family of four, staying in a two bedroom, two king bed room. The room was massive, and obviously freshly renovated. It was great sized place for a family of four. The "suite" was nicely appointed with a King size bed, large TV, coffee machine, mini fridge, and a small table with two chairs in the front room, and in the "bedroom" it had another king bed, and an arm chair. The bathroom was located off of the back bedroom, which was fine, but it did mean whoever was staying in the front room had to pass through the second room where people were sleeping. Also the air conditioning was only in one room (the one with the bathroom) so the door had to be open to circulate the cool air. Overall it was a very nice, clean, well appointed and very reasonably priced motel. Would definitely stay here again. read more

We've been traveling across the country and spent one whole day in Olympic National Park. We didn't have cell service most of the day and realized quite late that we had never booked a room. At 9:45, we found an online vacancy at the inn and booked it right away. It wasn't until 10:15 that we realized check-ins were no longer accepted after 10 pm. We had missed the call of the inn owner and by the time we got back to him, we were still 10 mins away. He graciously said "no problem, see you soon" and when we arrived, was super friendly and accommodating. We were very grateful and appreciative that we were still able to check in. The room was simple and nice, the bathrooms look recently updated and everything was very clean! Especially the bathrooms. We had a quiet and comfortable night's sleep and enjoyed a nice, hot shower before heading out. The view from the inn is pretty great and the town is quiet and cozy. If you are passing through town, don't overlook this place - great value, great service and a great night's sleep! read more

The hotel itself is near a trailer park which affects the view as you aren't looking to overlook a trailer park! The room itself was spacious, clean and well stocked. The toiletries were nice and so was the bedding. It did have a fridge and microwave. It is near stores and restaurants. It didn't have a phone or safe in the room. read more
