Great cottage stay with just the right amount of charm and care that isn't found in many places anymore. The private beach is crawling with crabs and hermit crabs, and the Dungeness NWR 10 minutes away is a great spot to recreate. read more

i love the peaceful setting of Juan De Fuca Cottages Yet a short a drive to wonderful PNW sites like Hurricane Ridge, Dungeness Spit, Ho Rain Forest, and so many more. The staff at the cottages goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Special Hi to Noreen! There are many different types of cottages to stay in. The Bay is across the street for water activities. There's gorgeous sunsets down the street 5 min drive or 15-20 walk. On your walk you might see bald eagles that nest in the trees. i guess you can tell I love the Cottages. read more

So happy we stayed here! It was easy to check in even with the office being closed. We received detailed instructions via email. Our room was definitely thought out, as we had everything needed (cozy robes, enough pillows & blankets, and even binoculars to see out over the water) and more. Very clean and comfortable. We would definitely come back again! Thank you read more

I had an absolutely wonderful stay. The location was perfect for me! The cottage room was clean and it had everything I needed! The front desk gal, Noreen thought outside the box and fixed a small issue that I had (that was my fault)! I was so grateful for her problem solving! The views were amazing and the beach access was perfect! I will be back!!! read more

The BEACH across the property was a beautiful spot for sunset viewing; Cline Spit, which was a minute drive away from the cottage, was also great for that purpose. The property is LOCATED in a quiet neighborhood. Easy access to downtown. (For food, Oak Table and Salty Girls were great, by the way.) The game farm, lavender farm, and other places of interest were just few minutes drive away. COTTAGE 4 was cute but a bit tight for five adults. It did not bother us much because we were out most of the time. It did not have AC but an electric fan was provided. Overall, it was clean which was a priority to us, and it had all we needed for our stay. The STAFF and owners were gracious and accommodating. Ask and you shall receive! read more

We absolutely loved our stay here! This locally owned hotel was so much more than we expected. Would recommend to anyone looking to travel to this area and hike Olympic National Park. The cottages are so adorable! Ours had a very spacious room inside, full kitchen, and a nice bathroom with a skylight. The large windows were perfectly positioned for us to see the mountains and the water from our bed at the same time, such a unique and incredible experience. We really enjoyed the private beach as well, went on multiple walks along the water without a soul in sight. The homemade breakfast was a great surprise too! We paid for it in advance but had no idea how amazing it would be. Huge quiches, giant slabs of bacon, muffins the size of my face, fresh fruit salad, I could go on! Everything was delicious and it was a huge convenience to have food delivered to our door rather than driving far out of our way and wasting time in the morning. There are multiple great hikes not too far drive away, we definitely appreciated being able to stay so close to the National Park. We even bumped into some of the family that runs the place and they were super nice and welcoming happy to help with any questions we had about the area. read more

This review is not for lodging, but for kayaking. I had the opportunity to kayak on their beachfront in the Dungeness Bay... and it was such a beautiful sunny day with low tide, and the calmest water I've ever seen. It was so peaceful to be out in the water with the one sunny day I had while staying in Sequim... and the best kayaking experience I've had. No one else was in the water, so we had the bay to ourselves. I love the quietness and privateness of it all. If you're looking for a nice quiet getaway, this would be the spot to both kayak and to lodge. The views were lovely. And the kayak rentals were reasonably priced and the staff was so very kind. read more

Dear Travelers, This spot is a gem and totally worth a 5-star rating. It is quaint, but clean and cozy. The service is personal and over-the-top delightful. My husband and I stayed in the "fireplace" cottage with a crazy jacuzzi and view of the Dungeness Spit from the rocking chairs on the front porch. A morning walk on the road running along the coastline, or venture down to the beach where there is a campfire pit and kayaks (too cold while we were there, but it looked so very inviting). Be sure to order the generous breakfast that will be delivered to your cottage at 9AM, and enjoy the peace a quite some more. FYI, We paid almost 6x more for a large house in Seattle over the holiday weekend just prior, and they DID NOT get a 5-star rating for anything except the view. read more

Charming well-kept cottages right across from the shoreline of the Strait. Friendly staff and easy, convenient check in and check out. We loved our unit and found the location convenient to everything we wanted to do. You can select amongst several layouts and setups. They also accept pets in some of the units. There is a lot of grassy area, a private beach with a fire pit, and a lovely, heated gazebo where you can gather to play games or whatnot. They have really thought of everything. Would stay again. read more

We stayed here for a weekend in the fall. It was beautifully set - a small one room cottage and access to the private beach. The overall set-up and attention to detail is top notch. None of the peculiarities you might find with an Airbnb, with all of the thoughtfulness. We'll definitely stay again. read more

Such a beautiful and peaceful environment around these cottages, and they had everything we needed to have a wonderfully relaxing weekend. We loved the nostalgic feeling of picking out DVDs/VHS from their movie library, and the 2-person jetted tub in the honeymoon cottage was amazing. the bathrobes were luxurious and the kitchenette was well-stocked for light food prep. We slept well and were awakened by the sun. Had some great walks on the beach and the road overlooking the coast. 100% recommend! read more

Juan de Fuca Cottages is one of the best places to stay in the entire Olympic Peninsula. I have stayed at many accommodations on the peninsula over the last decade and this place is my favorite. It shines for its location and for its management. Location wise, it's the best of both worlds. It's right on the sea. Literally. Fresh air and peace can be had. If you want a nice dinner or espresso, Sequim is only a 10-minute drive. It's surrounded by nature and trees and lavender fields. Besides location, when it comes to a quality place to stay this place is a winner. I've stayed in at least 2 different cottages and two of the main building rooms. While the cottages are more private, the main room is also a good choice. The upstairs room, called the Eagle's Nest, is modern and full of sunlight. It has all of the touches you need like USB ports, microwave/fridge, and is very thoughtfully decorated. The current management is also stellar. A lot of pride goes into the maintenance of this place and the family who runs it are wholesome and hardworking. I'd recommend offering the high speed WiFi for free rather than an up charge, but otherwise all of the touches are great. When I've had feedback to improve something, the owner is attentive and will make the improvements. Overall, really quality place to stay for the Port Angeles/Sequim/Olympic/Hurricane Ridge area. You won't regret the experience. read more

What a beautiful place. Scenic beauty along the Strait of Juan de Fuca looking right across to Canada. Glorious sunsets and sunrises with Mt. Baker in sight! We stayed in the Sunset Bay Cottage near the end of September. It was about $700 for 2 nights (better price than the Holiday Inn Express and Red Lion!). This was our 2nd stay at the Juan de Fuca Cottages. All the wonderful things: The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. There are 2 tables and plenty of room to move about. There's a wonderful heater in the bathroom and a gorgeous skylight in the shower. There's a heater in the main living area that gets it toasty & comfy in minutes. The view from this cabin is beautiful, you see sunsets, the spit, wildlife, ships, and the STARS (omg!!). There's a really neat in countertop dishwasher that's super convenient. There's a huge variety of movies in the 24-hour market..highly recommend "Goodbye Mr Chips"! Beach access is easy, just use your room key. We got some firewood and made a fire in the large fire ring they have (there are 3 large benches around the fire ring..plenty of room to share the fire and meet fellow cabin renters...like we did!) A few things to note: The shower head is low, I'm 5'2" and it fit perfectly for me any taller would need to bend over. The pillows appear fluffy but turn hard hard hard once you're laying on them (if you love hard pillows this is for you! If not, bring your pillows from home). The 24-hour market has very light snacks so if you're looking for more of a meal-snack (frozen pizza, hot pockets, etc) head to Safeway (less than 10 mins away) read more

We rented 2 cottages and they were great unfortunately there were no A/C's and it was hot! The in room breakfast was delicious and the view was priceless! Cottage furniture in our unit was surprisingly very dated but cottage was roomy. We enjoyed our stay I would suggest adding night pathway lights as it is extremely dark walking from one unit to other or to your car. I would definitely recommend staying here just for the views and experience. Checkout is early so plan accordingly. read more

Wonderfully quiet and peaceful place to get away to. Rooms were very nice and clean with everything we needed. Location is incredibly beautiful. Only suggestion I have is that they allow parking next to instead of in front of the cottages. The cars get in the way of the view! read more

Loved our stay here and wish we could've spent more time in the cottages (we spent much of the day out in Olympic national park). The backdrop of the mountains was stunning especially during sunset and sunrise. We were lucky to get the cottage furthest back so we looked out onto all the fields and mountains. The private beach to the bay was a lovely place to see the sunset. There is a field of cows nearby and my first night I thought I kept hearing my phone buzz when in reality I was hearing Moo-ing - it wasn't a bother and by the second night I was already used to it. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone in the area! read more

Everything is taken care of for you. I spent about 11nights there and loved every moment. It's quiet and peaceful and has exquisite views and gorgeous sunsets. A place to rest and revive spent energy before leaving the state. The staff is exceptional. The kitchen was stocked with everything you'll need to cook with. I loved the quaint old fashioned feel to the decor. Very nurturing for my age. I'd stay there again, anytime!! I can't imagine anyone not enjoying every moment. Happy trails y'all. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottages! We were able to enjoy the beautiful water and mountain views from our hot tub. Being so close to the water we were able to paddleboard easily, even in February. I highly recommend staying here. The staff were attentive and friendly, the kitchen had everything we needed and there was plenty of wood for our fireplace. We especially enjoyed the nostalgia of having a full library of VHS movies to choose from. We cannot wait to return! read more

Amazing ambience, breathtaking setting: the Dungeness Bay and beautiful sunsets on one side, and the mountains that make you feel like you're in Switzerland, on the other. There's peace and calm, and solitude to be found. Special mention to the VHS tape collection they have in their rooms: The Forrest Gump section of our evening just added to the whole experience. Great service too, smooth check in process. I'm definitely coming back! read more

Juan De Fuca Cottages - A sign posted inside our cottage :-) - Hotels Near Me - Sequim, Washington

This was our 4th annual stay at the cottages. Our cottage was not ready at the promised time, due to needing a deeper cleaning as the previous guest had a very furry dog. However, we were offered an upgrade with no extra charge! We have always had a warm welcome & appreciate the suggested local travel destinations & cafes, especially Heidi's knowledge of cafes that offered vegetarian options! It was also a nice addition, since our last visit, that a dog station, equipped with potty bags & a separate pet waste can for disposal, had been added. We (furry companions included) highly rate the Juan de Fuca Cottages. read more

Our first time in Sequim, and we chose Juan de Fuca cottages, which is right across the Juan de Fuca Strait. Cottage 12 was so lovely. It was clean and the pillows and king size bed were comfortable. 2-person whirlpool tub was great for a nice hot bath followed by stargazing on the deck. We had the electric fireplace on, which made the 200some sq ft cottage nice and cozy to sleep in. We also got to reserve a BBQ grill, which made for a delicious home cooked dinner. Room in the fridge, huge kitchen sink, dishware and utensils provided. I didn't mind washing them. I also ordered a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and they were so delicious, and so were the free cookies we got at check-in. Really cute private beach across the street. You can see Canada across the strait! Parking was perfect - right next to our cottage. We could see the car from our kitchen table. Not that there's anything shady going on; it's a very safe area. Plenty of grass for our dogs to run around. The property is really nice to walk around. We saw lots of birds (we're amateur birders) at the beach and on our deck. We wanna come back every summer! read more

We have had a wonderful stay here! Very clean and cozy! The listing, pictures and details about this place were accurate and just how they described them. Very friendly staff and they even sent an email a few days before we arrived to see if they could provide anything when we arrived. Also great attention to detail. Love the chairs at the front of the property overlooking the straight Juan Da Fuca even though it is a bit chilly this morning and we were not able to sit outside. Very nice place. Friendly and efficient staff. Great location, across a quiet road from the seashore. There's a private beach directly across the road. It's a short drive to Dungeness Spit, a spectacular thin beach jutting out into the Strait; a definite must-do! We stayed in a "Cottage on the Bay". These units are standalone cottages, consisting of one large room with kitchen, dining area, and sitting area. There are two beds: a queen and a full. The full bed is cleverly nestled under built-in shelves; you pull the bed out for sleeping and push it back during the day to give more living space. Both beds were comfortable. We'll be back! read more

My partner and I just spent a fantastic weekend at Juan de Fuca Cottages. We got a Lodge room with a Groupon deal. Our minds were instantly blown upon unlocking the sliding door to our accommodation. The room was tastefully appointed. No cheesy wall-mounted headboard for the bed. Many pillows. Pretty bedding. Thick and plush shag carpeting. Fireplace. Flat-screen TV. Modern furniture. We were also delighted to find little personal touches here and there to make the room feel even more homely--the handwritten welcome note on one of the nightstands, the provision of utensils and beverages on the sturdy writing desk, etc. The bathroom took our breaths away: we loved the skylight directly above the Jacuzzi tub! Jumbo-sized toiletries, too! We had an amazing time in Sequim. Calling Juan de Fuca Cottages "home" for a couple of days was delightful. A huge thank-you to the staff for the warm welcome and making our first ever stay here an outstanding one. We cannot wait to come back! :) read more

Overdue review of Juan De Fuca Cottages! We stayed here for a night, which was too short, but I absolutely loved it! The view of the bay was amazing! They have kayaking available which we really wanted to do but weren't able to fit into our trip schedule. I definitely regret not kayaking the bay. You can walk the beach area and its neighborhood. Its a very peaceful area. If you want peace and quiet with a small town nearby... this is the place ! Theres also a organic market nearby and they recommend a bunch of restaurants. The staff at the cottages were so friendly too, we felt very welcome and our room was spotless. I got excited because it was the perfect size for two people and comfy. Theres view of the lighthouse that you can go to also. read more
