Coffee is basically Keurig machine even though the hosts brags and sells thier own roasted coffee. The front host/attendant basically uses the front lobby as an office so you will hear them on the phone and zoom/conference calls. Don't try and get any reading or work done in the main room while your staying. If thirsty you are provided two bottles of water in your fridge for a two day visit. Otherwise you can drink faucet water from your bathroom. Also no ice machines or microwaves unless maybe your a vip? Hosts either live in the basement or the attic.. and you might have a preacher living in the white barn by the front gate. No walking access outside the property.. Showers are the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel.. the beds are stiff as a board and the pillows are weirdly over sized.. sheets were awful also.. As for the food could of been a saving grace.. expect every dish is basically sugar... They offer maple syrup but there are so cheap you can tell it's just high fructose corn syrup with coloring.. Hope this saves someones money from this awkward social experience..

It was a delicious meal prepared with seasonal and organic ingredients, much of which Mark actually grew himself! Stuffed tomatoes, shrimp with herbed cream cheese on baguettes, blue cheese dip with crackers - everything was scrumptious and beautifully presented. And the pickled garlic scapes were so incredible, I believe I embarrassed myself. Mark's task was complicated by serving outdoors, in a garden and a somewhat limited budget. Happened upon this "Sequim gem" by chance, a lucky accident. I was looking for a weekend getaway…read moreto Port Angeles/Mt. Olympic but all the lodging was booked so I widened my search and found Creekside Haven in Sequim! Kris, the owner, was absolutely a joy to talk to! She helped me book my stay, 2 night minimum, and was very helpful every step of the booking process. The property is 1 mile off the 101 hwy and only 15/20 minutes from Port Angeles. The town of Squeim was great too. Lots of great places to eat in a small town feel. Creekside Haven is a dream. Each room with it's own full bath and each with its own unique personality. The hosts are so accommodating and you can clearly see they care about thier guests from the moment you arrive! Actually, from the moment you book! If you are looking for a tranquil, beautiful place to getaway or rest for a few nights, this home is perfect! There is so much to discover at Creek Haven but you'll have to see it for yourself! The three course breakfast was absolutely delicious, and although I wasn't able to each all of it, they even offered a protein ball to make sure I was okay. Recommedned for an informal friendly bed and breakfast in Dungeness…read more A family run business, breakfast shared with all guests, Glenda and Bob Clark. Small and very friendly with fabulous views of the Olympic mountains and average views across the flats of dungeness. The farm has excellent cute-ness qualities: White picket fence, the building is surrounded by a large porch; inside family portraits dating back to the turn of the century, big cllaw-foot baths with Oooodles of hot water (I had 2 per day, heaven!). Two elderly intelligent friendly resident owners who live in the building behind the Inn and still run the farm. Glenda Clark (ne Chambers) explained that the farm is the oldest family run farm in Washington state. She is thinking about trying to get it 'registered', the UK equivalent of 'listed'. It is no coincidence that Clark Chambers farm is the first building on 'Clark road'. Bob Clark is a never ending source of stories about farm life and the social history of the Dungeness region of the Olympic peninsular. A chirpy cheerful couple, they remind me of cockneys, with a different accent. I spent 2 nights with them. During one day I was able to explore Dungeness, During another I drove passed lake crescent and visited beaches on the West coast, Ruby, Beach 4 and Kalaloch. The B & B is n ot central for the Olympic peninsular but it does afford easy access. You can walk to Dungeness spit in less than a mile. Bob and Glenda talked about previous guests who liked to run, or cycle. The flat lands around dungeness are ideal for people who like these sort of activities. I'll definitely be going back in the summer...

We had a very comfortable room with the modern bathroom (I am glad I chose that). Breakfast was a highlight! Praline French toast, sausage, fruit, and coffee. Plenty of fuel for our hike to the Dungeness spit lighthouse. Sara, one of the owners, even went out of her way to find tide information for the spit. It felt like staying at your own family's farm house. Great location, close to lavender farms, Dungeness recreation area, and 10 min away from town. Very peaceful. In the evening we watched two bald eagles on the barn and sat on the porch. Doesn't get much better than that!

Amazing hospitality. The location is perfect, steps to downtown, yes, the inn is up the hill, but that is how you get an amazing view of town and the water. We couldn't have asked for more on our first visit to PT, we will certainly be back! I worked at a B&B for four years long ago and know what a challenging business it can be. We were headed to Sooke Harbor, BC for a much-needed, long weekend. Imagine our disappointment after driving 2+ hours from our home in Kirkland to the Black Ball Ferry in Port Angeles, only to find there was no room for us on the only afternoon ferry to Victoria!! Note: we learned a valuable lesson - make reservations if you want onboard!! Our spirits dashed, we began to formulate Plan B after canceling our reservation at Sooke Harbor. We searched the interweb for hotels or lodges in the vicinity and came across the Bond Retreat Ranch. After finding other places booked solid or not yet open for the season, we were very relieved when Tess said we could have the Cottage for the weekend! We headed straight to the Ranch where we were greeted by the congenial Tess and her sidekick, Goofy the hound dog. She took us on a quick tour of the Ranch - a lovely, well-maintained spread, which includes 5 guest rooms with the B&B, a large pasture for the two resident horses, a cute wedding chapel, covered patio for gathering, breakfast room made from a converted barn, pavilion for dancing, and several other outbuildings. Then we were escorted to our private little cottage with a cozy living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and a private yard with chairs, porch, picnic table, lots of trees and a nice view of the ranch. The B&B wasn't open for the season, but Tess was happy to put us up. All the buildings on the ranch were built by Morris, the 70 year-old owner and Tess' longtime partner. Morris bought the land when he was 18, logged the trees, milled the lumber and built it all himself, including their home on the premises. The workmanship is impressive and the entire place is clean, inviting, rustic and charming. The ranch is a lovely venue for a wedding, family reunion or group getaway. In season they have a nightly campfire and serve breakfast in the barn and patio. The Cottage was spotless - not a speck of dust or cobweb in sight! I found this very impressive considering we arrived off-season. The bed was so cozy - we slept like babies! There were lots of warm quilts and fluffy pillows to snuggle into. The kitchen has a fridge, sink, small range and is stocked with enough dishes, pans & utensils to prepare light meals. If you want to grill, there is one at the pavilion or they will bring one down to the Cottage. There is a book of local restaurant recommendations, some magazines about the area and an electric fireplace in the living room. What they don't have is a TV or wifi - so you are delightfully unplugged! The pavilion does have wireless if really needed (cell service on Verizon was sketchy at best). We spent two full days exploring the surroundings and east side of the Olympic National Park - Salt Creek State Park, Crescent Bay, Madison Falls, Hurricane Ridge, the Elwha Valley, Lake Crescent, Marymere Falls, the Lake Crescent Lodge, etc. We hiked a LOT! The weather was nice - our last day it was fantastic! We had a delicious dinner at the Alder Wood Bistro (highly recommended) and a crazy-good breakfast at the Oak Table Cafe, both in Sequim. We picked up some groceries at the Sunny Farms Country Store with its great selection of organic and local produce & meats, raw honey, etc. All of these are within 10 min of the Ranch. For our 2nd night we picnicked in the front yard, enjoying the vibrant, northwest skies for sunset. This was the best Plan B ever! We can't wait to come back and explore more of the area and hopefully spend another stay at the Ranch. Sadly, Morris & Tess are Looking to retire, so the Ranch is on the market. How I wish I had the youth and money to buy it! What a lovely piece of paradise. Fortunately, the Ranch will be open in the meantime and we highly recommend you check it out!

We stayed in room 6. It's an old Victorian house with a number of antique artifacts including instruments, guns, books, etc. There is no elevator - you have to climb the stairs to get to your room or downstairs to the billiards table & guest fridge. The innkeeper is extremely sweet. She welcomed us in and explained about the house. At 9am (prompt), she serves breakfast, which was a delight! It was a full 3 course meal - everything home-made (or from a local bakery). Honestly, the breakfast here was better than our dinner at a restaurant the night before! Our room was very cute - it looked like the inside of a doll house. For my husband, who is a tall man (6'2), he felt a bit claustrophobic because the ceiling comes inwards. But for my 5' self, I didn't mind. Everything was clean and had a nice presentation. They even had home-made cookies waiting! We really enjoyed our stay, and it was nice to have a sit down breakfast with the other guests and chat together. There's also a sweet doggo named Ursa who you may see putter around. For a nice weekend away from the city, this is a very cozy quaint place to stay.
