Showers are the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel.. the beds are stiff as a board and the pillows are weirdly over sized.. sheets were awful also.. As for the food could of been a saving grace.. expect every dish is basically sugar... They offer maple syrup but there are so cheap you can tell it's just high fructose corn syrup with coloring.. Hope this saves someones money from this awkward social experience..

They have several units to choose from, but we chose the "Perch", which was the largest. It didn't disappoint! We didn't even use half the space! Currently, check-in is anytime after 2:00pm. We checked ourselves in and upon entering, found a spacious "home"! Divided by a set of stairs, there is a murphy bed (sleeps 2), bath & shower, dining area and full kitchen to the left. On the dining table was a lovely note addressed to us by the hosts Craig & Michelle, accompanied by a bottle of wine and a bowl of granola bars. Then, in the refrigerator, there was a nicely adjourned box nestled with yogurts, orange juice, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, a small bottle of Prosecco (for mimosas) and chocolate! We turned around and on the kitchen counter was a plate of local pastries! In the room on the other side of the stairs is another bedroom (sleeping 2-3), king bed, full bath and sitting area with coffee maker and coffee pods. Downstairs by the front door is a living room with TV, comfy couch & chair, wet bar, small fridge and washer/dryer! As everyone knows, with a home or business, there will always be times of repair and/or construction. Currently, the upper deck is being repaired, so we weren't able to take advantage of that. Instead, we took a long walk along the water, watched the eagles soar overhead, waved at people passing by and enjoyed the fresh sea air! Eating at local restaurants is always a plus and enjoying wine in the evenings watching the sun lower gently on the horizon out of sight made this trip, along with our fabulous hosts, Craig & Michelle, all worthwhile. It's stunning yet cozy with the most inviting, homey feel. The bed was out of this world comfortable and I had the best sleep of my life here. The hostess is an absolute sweetheart, kind, helpful, and thoughtful in every detail. The grounds are gorgeous and her little homemade treats are delicious. We skipped breakfast simply because we're not big morning eaters, but the spread looked wonderful. My only tiny suggestion, and it's not even worth docking a star, would be to add a lock to the guest room doors when you leave. The main building is locked and it felt completely safe, but a personal lock would give that extra layer of peace of mind. I let my guard down and felt perfectly at ease. This isn't just a stay. It's a memory. The place I turned 40. A hidden treasure I'll always hold close to my heart.

Olympic but all the lodging was booked so I widened my search and found Creekside Haven in Sequim! Kris, the owner, was absolutely a joy to talk to! She helped me book my stay, 2 night minimum, and was very helpful every step of the booking process. The property is 1 mile off the 101 hwy and only 15/20 minutes from Port Angeles. The town of Squeim was great too. Lots of great places to eat in a small town feel. Creekside Haven is a dream. Each room with it's own full bath and each with its own unique personality. The hosts are so accommodating and you can clearly see they care about thier guests from the moment you arrive! Actually, from the moment you book! If you are looking for a tranquil, beautiful place to getaway or rest for a few nights, this home is perfect! There is so much to discover at Creek Haven but you'll have to see it for yourself! During our family reunion, this was a constant meeting spot, barbeque area, and general hang out place. The adorable cottage sits back from the road so no water view (see the Duplex for that) but the generous deck overlooks farmland, the mountains, and the friendly neighborhood alpaca. Best news is that Karen's Cottages allows dogs which is getting harder and harder to find in Sequim. Now we just have to worry about fighting over this place in the future.
