It's exactly like being a player on all those game shows, many of us grew up watching like family feud and wheel of fortune, etc. Then they add all of their own unique fun games. With the way they have each room/"set" set up, you really feel like you are on a game show, but to be clear, you are not being recorded and will not actually be on TV. It's such a fun environment to experience and participate in. It would be equally fun with a bunch of friends, as it would be your family, even my family who are in their 70s would love it. And, they do a really great job of making ADA accommodations for those that need it. There was a couple of things I wasn't gonna be able to do, even though physical things are very minimal, they simply let someone else fill in for a small part of that, but I still got to experience the full thing. And I forgot to tell them about my limitations before the event, so I told them in the moment and they quickly adjusted. And happily. The host of the "show/game"did an amazing job, and with enough practice could definitely be in the running for being a host on a live television show. He was very good at what he did and continuing to make it a game show like experience, in addition to the setup, etc I would highly it. At the time I went, which was late September 2026, you just needed a minimum of eight people and it was about $42 each, which is absolutely worth the two hours of great fun you could not have in another way.

This venue is exceptional for so many reasons: not only is it a non-profit venue, but they light over 100 candles for your event and provide so many things that you would typically need to rent at other venues (chairs, tables, glassware, etc.). Also there are so many things for your guests to do in downtown Ballard if your wedding is mainly out-of-town guests like ours was. Nate and the team were so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend our special day at Cathedral Ballard - it was truly so special!!! :)

There is a ground level and an upstairs. Upon coming in staff greeted us and informed us of the going-Ons upstairs. There were 3 bartenders all of whom were very nice. Lots of seating and small music and dancing area. The food was self-serve, buffet style, catered La Cabana. The salsa and guac were good and was nicely laid out. Cathedral donates much of the earnings made from the use of the space and are also known for their candles which I've received as a gift and can say are nicely scented and benefit causes. So, if you see one in a local shop or otherwise it makes a good gift. Not sure they sell them at this actual location of Cathedral though. If you 're looking to host an event or know someone who wants to, Cathedral has a decent space to be rented out with nice staff who will help manage it.

Their communication was clear, thoughtful, and reassuring, which meant everything when our family was overwhelmed with grief and trying to make difficult decisions. The venue itself is beautiful, warm, and welcoming. Somehow they managed to create a space that felt both respectful and comforting, exactly what we needed to gather and support one another. What amazed me most was how smoothly everything ran. Organizing a memorial could have been incredibly stressful, but the Georgetown team handled every detail so thoughtfully that it felt easier than planning a Sunday barbecue. They truly took care of everything. The food was wonderful, the service was flawless, and every staff member treated our family and guests with kindness and dignity. It was clear that they genuinely cared about honoring our daughter and supporting the people who loved her. My only issue came the day before the wedding when I found out that the round tables (I had been promised) had been rented out to another wedding happening the same day. We had already purchased round table cloths, and our seating chart was for round tables which seat a different number of people than the rectangular tables that were left for me. So my husband and I redid the entire searching chart the day before our wedding. Luckily I had awesome bridesmaids who came to my rescue and helped me sort it all out. The response from the pavilion was, "Well you have enough tables right?" Technically yes, but you caused quite a headache for us the day before our wedding.

Format is 7vs7 so we went against a random family, and had another small family added to ours - so fun!! They put together rounds of maybe 10 different games, from trivia, to block stacking, to chip dropping - Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy-theme games, not to mention a little family feud. Games are apparently different each time you go, or at least refreshed. Great live host guiding you through the experience. Such a great hang with new people that value those interactions!

There seems to be an abandoned building across the street that has some odd people hanging around. Be sure to lock your car! There is parking available so that part is nice. Once you're inside the environment is very cozy and friendly. Our game host check us in quickly and have us a locker to lock away our things. If you haven't played an escape room before, they recommend that phones/wallets and etc. Be placed in the locker. Make sure your most "responsible" adult has the key. As they will be the ones to hold it for the duration of the game. The escape room itself was creatively built and just the right amount of challenge. They have a variety of rooms that offer different and unique experiences. We were able to escape and then captured a nice little picture at the end. For the price and experience - this place is worth it.

Awesome theme, great room decoration, and a solid mix of puzzles that were a nice spread of challenging. THOUGH! I will say, I recommend you take on this room with a group of people you know well/have done an escape room with before (so you know what behavior to expect). I can't imagine trying to do this room with strangers or people who shut down when frustrated. The Facility. I wasn't sure what to expect trucking all the way out to the Georgetown warehouse district, but I was pleasantly surprised! Its clear that having such a large building allows Seattle Escape to build big games with multiple rooms and lots of decor/detail. There is also plenty of space to park, which is a rare and beautiful thing in Seattle. THOUGH---I will say, if you are an out-of-towners/generally nervous about parking in odd places---I recommend booking a room during the day. This is definitely a warehouse district that might look sketchy to anxious individuals. The Staff. We had Maddie as our Game Master, and she was wonderful! She did a great job explaining everything, was patient with us in all the right moments, and was generally a lot of fun. I also LOVED that Seattle Escape had a system set up to digitally tip the game masters! Seattle Escape won a lot of points from me by having a system like this in place to support their staff. All in all, great experience, highly recommend, and my group will definitely be coming back to try out the other rooms soon!
