I have stayed here for 3 years now and appreciate the staff, service and offerings of the Element. This Element is connected to the Aloft to share pool parking and fitness room. And what a bomb fitness room! Great facility! Well maintained- and super busy! The rooms are well maintained and clean. They are quiet. Srsly no complaints. Staff are superb. The breakfast is good. Location is easy to access everything you need. Plenty of Lime scooters around. There is a shared bar/lounge with limited food options. It gets very busy on Thursday. We decided to have a staycation and booked a room at Elements hotel in Redmond. This hotel is next to AC Hotel. Location is great. Close to very good restaurants in the area. Front desk was very friendly. Gave us a great room. Came with a buffet, excellent breakfast. There is even an omelette station. So many to choose from. Very good deal! Parking is underground. Very safe and very accessible to the hotels. Hotel rooms are very clean. We had a one bedroom with a sofa bed and a kitchen. Complete kitchen basics. Will definitely come back here. read more

Element is hands-down the BEST hotel I've ever stayed at, bar none. The rooms are HUGE, clean, and absolutely modern. This was the first hotel in which I've stayed that didn't seem like a hotel, it seemed more like a nice apartment. Staff was over the top with their friendliness and helpfulness. My travel companion and I were in town for a charity fundraiser run, and the front desk had gift bags for us, with bottled water, electrolyte powder, etc. to help us on our run. THAT is nothing I've ever experienced anywhere else. Breakfast was lovely. High-quality and unique items, such as guava juice. The parking garage layout made for easy parking and access to the hotel, which was also very thoughtful. If I'm ever in Redmond or Seattle again, I'm DEFINITELY going to stay at Element. read more

We loved our stay at this hotel. We were in the Seattle area and tried a couple of hotels. This was our favorite. It was new, clean, bright and spacious. My expectations were pretty low as I thought this hotel line was more economical and European-style-tiny (like Aloft). But we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of space in every aspect: - bathroom had lots of room - living area had so much space, we put our suitcase anywhere (usually this takes a bit of planning for a family of 4) - so much closet space - kitchenette was new and well sized / spaced out - the pool was a real pool. Not those half size dinky things Breakfast was delicious. Breakfast lounge area was beautiful. Lobby and social space were also very pretty. Paid parking is added to your hotel bill. We didn't try but you can use their bikes. The area / suburb was nice too with diversity in good eats. Overall, very neat place. We would hop on the opportunity to stay again. read more

I stayed at the Element this week for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. I didn't realize the Element and Aloft were connected so I was a bit confused when I arrived the first day. The two hotels share a parking garage and you can access in and out of the parking garage with the hotel key. The parking was $13.62/ day and billed onto my final invoice. Upon entering the hotel, it had a clean and modern look. The staff was friendly and provided me with suggestions of where to eat around the area. I stayed in a king room, which was a tad small but contained everything I was looking for: kitchenette, microwave, mini fridge, plates, utensils, and a work desk. I also really appreciated the Brita- filtered water stations located on each floor by the ice. The second floor of the hotel connects to the Aloft Hotel, which has a bar and gym that Element guests can use. The gym is open 24/7 and it was empty when I went around 8pm. It was a fair size with a good variety of cardio and weight equipment. They even had 2 peloton bikes! In the mornings, the Element also serves breakfast on the second floor. They have standard breakfast buffet options such as eggs, bacon, potatoes, and pastries. Coming here for a work trip, this hotel had everything I was looking for. This was a 4 night stay in February 2020 (right before COVID-19 exploded in Seattle). I am a Marriott Gold member, which I'm not sure does anything. First, location: The Element is located in Redmond but right next to Bellevue so it's close to shopping, restaurants, and of course the Microsoft campus. Atmosphere: What an interesting hotel. The Element and Aloft hotels are two hotels that share one building. It's a little like one side is the upper class and one side is the lower class. At least that's how it seemed to me. There's a part of the floor that is split down the middle and on one side it's Aloft and decorated differently and the other side is Element. What a curious concept. Obviously, I was on the Element side and I recommend it. It seems the lighter, brighter, nicer of the two. The Element side also includes breakfast every morning and happy hour in the evenings. Service: No problems here. Reception personnel were friendly and welcoming. The employees manning the happy hour station were also conversational and welcoming. I went on a road trip with my family after a long time. I needed a double or suite with a full kitchen for the stay and this hotel fit the bill. Of course, being a Marriott platinum member, I always prefer a Marriott hotel and this one was a part of the Marriott chain. I was not expecting much in terms of quality of service due to Covid, but I was pleasantly surprised. The checkout process was easy and I did pick up the underground parking option. The parking was very convenient, especially when traveling with young kids. The room was clean and I loved the full kitchen with updated appliances and the large bathroom. The best part though was the breakfast lounge. Hot breakfast with a chef to cook your special of the day was amazing. The gym and indoor heated pool were open and both were amazing. I highly recommend this place for family trips but do pick the parking option. 100% will stay here again. read more

The entryway pulling up to the hotel is rather small and was an inconvenient when traffic started to come in while trying to check in. It's a dual property with A Loft next door which they share amenities. Front desk lady named Chipo was cordial and attentive, answering all my questions upon check in. Modern furnitures while scoping the lobby during check in but wasn't satisfied with the "grocery cart" style luggage cart they provide for the guests. I thought it was literally a grocery cart for guests to use for their shopping and had to ask Chipo if this was their luggage cart. I was traveling with my infant at that time so I knew I was going to make several trips to and from our room. The room is rather smaller than what I had imagined. There's a table right under the tv so if I have to watch while working, I'd have to move away onto the bed or the couch which is placed on the corner at the foot of the bed. I had expected a full kitchenette to cook but I guess our room didn't come with it. Before calling it a night, I had called the front desk in order to get a late checkout the following morning. The lady who picked up was rather annoyed and said she will see if there is availability and in the end said only gold members are only allowed to have late check out. I tried asking how that's possible if I've always had a late checkout as an silver elite member. She hanged up on me and called her right back asking why she hanged up on me. Again, she hanged up on me. I went downstairs and attempted to speak with the lady. I approached one of the lady behind the desk and asked her if she was the one I was speaking with. She answered no and I looked to my right with a lady talking to a couple who was getting checked in. I asked a few questions to the lady infront of me while trying to kill time and waited until the lady finishes her check in with the couple. After she checked in the couple, I attempt to approach her and asked why she hanged up on me. She refuse to speak to me and said to talk to her supervisor tomorrow as she walk away to the back. I told her I'm trying to diffuse the situation here but she wasn't having none of it. I forgot her name but she seems latina and about 5'3 or shorter in height with glasses. I have never in my life been treated with utmost disrespect after all the hotels I've stayed in the past 30 years of my life. It's quite appalling knowing people who works in hospitality industry where customers needs and wants are disregarded and ignored. I can understand if she was having a bad night or just not having a good day but it's very unacceptable how she approached the situation. I've worked in the hotel industry the past decade and I would've fired her if I was her supervisor knowing she lacked empathy or sense of leadership skills especially showing her new co worker what not to do during a confrontation with a guest. I called the next morning asking for the supervisor but was unavailable until noon. I attempted to ask the front desk lady if she could give us another hour to check out which she happily gave us. It took less than 5 minutes for her to make it happen without any questions asked. I wish I took her name down because she deserves a recognition for doing well at her job. She is African American and was the same lady who checked us in the previous day. Its people like her who may or may not enjoy her job but knows damn well the criteria and what it takes to work in the hospitality industry. No matter what, I've always said fake it until you make it while working in this industry. After checking out, I called the hotel back again and informed the supervisor the mishap and what went on the night before with her night auditor. He apologized but didn't seem like he honestly cared or was genuine at it. I didn't seem to get that he was going to talk to his employee and re train her how to assess situations like that with his tone of voice. Anyways, I liked the hotel and the ambiance. The lady who checked us in and checked us out made our trip worthwhile. Would I recommend it? If the rude lady isn't working there and the rest of the employees were as nice and passionate about their job as the lady who checked us in then I'll highly recommend it to my family and friends. Its convenient to a lot of restaurants and walkable/drivable to nearby shops and grocery stores since it's right next to the Microsoft campus. The hotel was clean, modern and liked the fact they're green, environmentally friendly. My first time staying at an Element property and not going to let one rude employee ruin my future stays. read more

Bare bones peaceful sleep. Think of an Extended Stay without the name. Fully equipped with mini fridge and microwave but oddly, no toiletries. Had to ask and they only gave packaged hand soap and lotion. There is shampoo and conditioner, in one, in shower, along with body wash, so I guess, not much else was needed. It just surprised me. Bathroom and room is spacious and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, which is another pleasant surprise. They provide complimentary bagged breakfast 6am-10am, consisting of: Light yogurt (yuck), Nutrigrain bar, two oranges and an apple. Another surprise, no water, although, you can purchase Figi or Pellegrino (another great surprise) at the front desk. You also retrieve the Breakfast bag from the front desk refrigerator. Parking is $12 per day, which is a great hotel price and you can exit/enter as much as you want, via your room key. Service was congenial and efficient. Location is close to grocery stores, restaurants and highway. Aside from being home, I could not have asked for a better night's stay! Will return when in the area. read more

This is a nice hotel! Feels brand new. My room was a Studio Suite, and came with a well equipped kitchen - fridge, freezer, cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, everything you would want for an extended stay. Room layout flows well, and the color scheme is neutral and pleasant. The work desk has plenty of room for my laptop and phone, paperwork and coffee. The Element maintains a small fleet of bicycles for guests to use. Normally I'll go on long walks to explore an area and take some excercise. The bikes extended my range, and helped me experience a lot more of the area than I'd have seen just on foot. I had a great stay, and this hotel is on my short list for next time I'm out this way. read more

Check in was simple. People with pets, there is $100 fee per your stay. The room do not have water bottle for your coffee so bring your own. There's a fridge and microwave. They have full length mirror. The bathroom is simple, soap and towels. Beers in their restore is $7. I couldn't find their ice machine, it should have been somewhere in between aloft and element. The element could be a nice place. But it is not. It is located next to construction and the construction causes the fire alarm to go off constantly. Then they do the monthly test of the fire alarm and it goes off for 3 hours. The windows to do not open so you cannot get fresh air. They do not clean on schedule and the cleaning is incomplete. I know everyone is short staffed but at least leave me towels. The Google people in for training party late and night and the staff will not ask them to quiet down. There are other places that allow for rest. Go there and not the element unless you like constant fire alarms and no rest. read more

The room I checked in was on the fourth floor! And as me organizing everything in the room and getting ready for bed and putting my suitcase on the right side of the second bed corner this is the image and what I discovered mind you I'm very exhausted and I'm very jetlagged! I had to discover a used condom! Yes a used condom! The lady downstairs was so shocked and helped me as much as she could by switching me to a new room! On the seventh floor! The next following day the manager checked in and had no condolences over the situation his name is Curtis and all he did was take care of one night? Of $139? And I told him I owned many businesses and I am a family man if you had a daughter if you had a son if you had a wife if you had a husband and they discovered a used condom on the side of the bed what would be your reaction? Would it be normal to you to discover a condom because that's the way you're acting the way you're acting is normal like you see dead condoms every day in your life! You did not tell me I hope your mom makes a recovery I'm sorry for the situation but what you tell me is you'll take care of my one night!? As me being a business owner and as me being a family man I would have to care of anyone that dealt with a uncomfortable situation! For instance I am a restaurant owner! I first saw this place and Aloft, was kinda confused about the two properties because they had the same address, being Element has breakfast I went with Element(I think it was extra $14). Upon arriving I was lucky enough to find a 3/4 parking spot on the street across and able to squeeze in to avoid their parking fee. I did drive around and there are only about two dozens of parking spots on the street for multiple properties, they should really remove this stupid parking fee(half star deducted). one of the best place I stayed in Seattle, but it's so new there are still some adjustments they need to do, shower door has a gap and doesn't close all the way so water did escape onto the floor. But being said, everything is new and good value for what you paid for, if the blackout blinds could complete blacked out then it would be perfect(see pictures). Breakfast was quiet nice, however the coffee machine was broken just like I expected from previous reviews, hopefully that would be fixed by now(I stayed mid Nov 2017). The only problem I had was to get into the breakfast area, all you need is a key card, or someone who walks you in, or just walk in when people are leaving, since Aloft is the same building, many people could get free breakfast, I saw a large group of international(I won't bring up nationality) students who came in and grabbed a ton of food and not eating them all, one guy grabbed all the meat, and saw one guy who keep using his hand to grabbed muffins and then putting them back, while there was a set of tongs on the tray the entire time, kinda disgusting to watch.(another half star deducted) will I repeat? likely, but I hope management can looking into the above issues and make some adjustments. read more

Me and my honey stayed at the Element Seattle Redmond for 2 nights in Feb. 2019. Overall, this hotel is pretty good! It's connected with the Aloft hotel... both are pretty new hotels a little off the beaten path in the Bellevue area. If you don't mind driving into the Seattle... and into downtown Bellevue... Element is a pretty good choice! Our stay includes a free breakfast... I like the new feel to the hotel. The rooms are pretty big and everything is new and seemingly clean... I worked out at the gym and its pretty nice. The equipment is top notch and its got a nice feel and layout. There's free wifi, but underground secured parking is $12 a night... (reasonable). Reasonable weekend rates, clean, comfortable, large rooms with nice lighting and kitchen area with ample amenities. Only two minor gripes was that no attendants were around in the evening. Would have liked to purchase a few things in the small shop but was unable to. Also, in the buffet breakfast the scrambled eggs were lukewarm and not "real" eggs. Also, the cappuccino machine was weak and bitter coffee. Otherwise, the fruit was fresh, nice yogurt bar, and the eating area was tidy and clean. Perfectly nice hotel. But 2.5 stars docking for Starwood's terrible customer service policy -- would not charge room to corporate card despite booking online. I've booked dozens if not hundreds of hotels/airbnbs/flights for myself at multiple companies. This is literally the first time I've encountered this hurdle and not been able to charge the original card on the reservation at checkout. Someone ought to run the customer service experience up the corporate flagpole -- it's enough of a hassle to make me think twice about staying at a Starwood property in the future. Never had an issue with Airbnb or multiple boutique hotels. Starwood's "donotreply@" email address says everything you need to know about their eagerness for feedback. read more

We booked this SPG property after learning it was newly opened and had amenities that suited our plans. We prepaid via SPG reservations and had high hopes. When we arrived, we parked out front to check in and were immediately directed to the neighboring ALOFT hotel to check in. Apparently, the lobby at the Elements had been "unexpectedly" closed for some type of testing. We checked in at ALOFT with some bewildered staff who provided us no information on Elements (how the parking worked, where the complimentary breakfast was and when, etc) and walked around to our room at Elements. Our room overlooked the entry area and the buildings HVAC system. Construction was apparent with workers crawling all around the property (no other guests were seen). When we walked across to look at the pool, we found the elevators at Elements to be out of service and staff that were less than helpful. I asked to speak to the manager and was introduced to 'Joe', who was apologetic, offered us appetizers at the ALOFT restaurant to make up for the trouble. He said the work was last minute, but it was evident that the construction remains on going. Overall, this hotel seems nice. However, it isn't fully open at this point. Construction workers continue to be seem and event the chandelier in the lobby is sitting on the lobby floor waiting to be installed. Not exactly what we expected. I would give it a few more weeks before I considered booking here if I was to do it again. UPDATE - we awoke in the morning to construction crews all around us, inside and outside the hotel. GOOD MORNING. The much anticipated hot breakfast was pathetic! Almost nothing hot and out of coffee. Seriously! Out of coffee. This place is a joke. read more

Unlike many other hotels in the area, Element Redmond charges extra for parking. However, you don't have to park in the garage because there are some street parkings outside the building with no time limit. There's no guaranteed you'd find a spot, but managed to, on two separate days. It's a pretty new, modern looking hotel next to microsoft. There is a construction site right next to it, but I did not notice any construction noise in my room. In fact I did not notice any noise at all. But I don't know if it's because they have good sound insulation or because the hotel is empty. An annoyance is the bathroom lights turn off when I took a long shower. The second time it happened, I was able to turn it back on by leaning out of the shower door to trigger the motion sensor. But just to be safe, I suggest leaving the door open and the hall light on. There are two window shades per window. One is light blocking, and the other is a sheer. The go up and down instead of left and right. Though they look modern, the opening mechanism does not work very smoothly. There are plenty of metal utensils and serving plates, which is unusually nice. read more

First impressions: very chic. Our studio like room was spacious, very well lighted with large windows, super clean. Was a pleasure to be in, especially with two little kids. Fascilities: pool, breakfast, housekeeping, front desk - all very good, very pleasant people. Very close to all restaurant and groceries. Cons: On street parking, or you pay for garage parking. Laundry room: good to have at hand but be ready with lots of quarters because the card readers are total cr@p! Thank goodness the staff here is super helpful ortherwise soggy laundry at hand sucks. Hotel is really nice & brand new. The staff are still very new to the hotel and I think they are doing their best. The only thing is there's always unexplainable frequent shaking/ trembling of the building when we are sitting inside the room. Maybe its because of the construction next road or Seattle is having many earthquake tremors? But it just feel very uncomfortable to have it often when you are sitting down in the room at the desk whether its daytime or nighttime. To test it, we put a water bottle next to the table. Element has become one of my favorite hotel brands, and the Element Seattle Redmond lives up to my every expectation (except one, described below). The Element Seattle Redmond is practically brand new. It is ideally located for easy access to Redmond/Microsoft, Bellevue, and depending upon the hour of the day, downtown Seattle, and SEA-TAC Airport. In my opinion, the Element Seattle Redmond deserves every one of Five Yelp Stars. The staff is warm, helpful, efficient, and professional. The hotel is impeccably well maintained, and the Housekeeping Department keeps the rooms and common areas immaculate. The hotel design, and rooms, are contemporary, minimalist, functional, and most importantly, comfortable. The only area of the Element Seattle Redmond that hit me in the face, as needing attention, is the food and beverage operation. In my opinion, it seems like someone choreographed the Element brand, only half way. The brand allegedly has nature, good health, and the environment as core values, but, in my experience many of the food offerings at the Element Seattle Redmond are anything but that. In addition to a robust supply of unhealthy, heavily processed, institutional grade foods, many of the allegedly hot items at breakfast, and the evening refresh were cold, overcooked, and were carelessly prepared and poorly presented. Speaking of unhealthy, heavily processed foods, there is no better example, of where I believe the Element Seattle Redmond misses the mark, than by serving instant oatmeal (heavily processed and laden with junk), rather than the non-instant, non-flavored oatmeal, that I have found at other Element hotels. Despite its food and beverage shortcomings, I still give the Element Seattle Redmond Five Yelp Stars, and would encourage anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel, in the Redmond/Bellevue area, to put the Element Seattle Redmond at the top of their list. read more

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of tons of restaurants, coffee shops and shopping areas like Marshall's, Goodwill, and Sears. There is also a Safeway nearby for groceries. The hotel is newly built and the lobby is nice and spacious with a fresh clean interior. The rooms are kind of small even with their studio rooms and offer a little kitchenette area with a small sink, some dishes and a microwave but no stove top. The room and bathroom was clean with plenty of windows for open light. Its near the Microsoft offices and you can easily take a bus to get anywhere right on the street. The freeways are nearby if you would like to venture out to Redmond Town Center 5min drive or Seattle via 520 bridge is like 15-20min drive. Parking is pricey as with most hotels but they have there own parking garage located right out front with hourly and overnight parking rate or if you get lucky street parking is free since its the Eastside but can be hard to find at times. Since this is located by new construction I did see a dead mouse on the sidewalk which totally grossed me out when walking by but other than that the hotel itself is clean and in a good location. Definitely not a tourist spot and you will either need to Uber or take a bus to downtown Seattle. read more

Such a great hotel! My husband and I spent the weekend her as a "stay-cation". It is so clean and so well designed. I felt like we were in a luxury hotel! Loved the modern vibe. The lady at the front desk was SO SWEET! I asked if there was any way we could get a room with a tub, and she made it happen. About 15 minutes after we got to our room, she had called from the front desk to ask us if we were satisfied with our room. Talk about customer service! I was so impressed. It was obvious she went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was not bad. Obviously not a Michelin star restaurant, but a great spread as far as hotel continental breakfast goes. They didn't have a huge pool, but that wasn't a deal breaker. This is the best place I have ever stayed. The room was nice and clean and had all of the essentials, and then some. All of the furniture in the room as well as the bathroom was modern and extremely comfortable. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. We had a room on the 7th floor and it was very quiet. The only downside was that there was no hot tub, but that is no reason to give this place less than 5 stars. They offered complimentary appetizers around 5:00 and served wine and beer for free as well. I definitely will stay here next time I need to stay in the area! read more
