I have been a patron of this park several times of the past 5 years. I have always had positive experiences and enjoyed finding beach front amenities that are always family friendly. Plus- since it is private (versus state/city) you can being beer or wine in if you choose :) This private park on Lake Sammamish is a great alternative to state parks. This pay-to-enter park is maintained at a pristine level, has restrooms, picnic shelters with bbq pits and sinks, and even a concession stand. There is a boat launch, a designated swimming area (life guard during warm weather), and a small play ground for kids. There is a free private parking lot across the street that makes visiting with kids convenient. Designated picnic areas can be rented out for private events- there is also an option to rent out the entire park if needed. If you want to rent an area for a private event- it is best to do it months in advance- this is an extremely popular place. Picnic shelters can include bbq pits, sinks, power outlets, and plenty of garbage cans. Depending on the particular picnic area, there are even amenities like volleyball and beach front seating. This review is for the drive-in movie experience. The good: The park has a great set up for drive-in movies! Secluded dark area in the back with a huge screen. Very easy to see, and they also do a good job arranging cars by size so no one is in the way and enforcing people who randomly decide to turn their lights on. Real movie theatre popcorn! I had no idea how much I missed this after months and months of not having any. The neutral: Donations go to the nonprofit wing of the park! The not good: Sound is terrible. It's through the radio and the first fifteen minutes of the movie wasn't even working (they did not restart it). I guess you could say it made for a retro drive in movie experience with funny sound. Even with bad sound though this would have been a five star experience - IF THE EMPLOYEES WERE WEARING MASKS. Every single one of the guests wore a mask. Only two employees were - the ones working the concession stand. The other four I saw did not even have a mask around their neck. Sure; they were outside, but come on! It's the law, and you are yelling directions so projecting your voice. I had even asked before if employees would be wearing masks and they said yes - but nope. Why???? read more

We arrived on a Sunday with a 2 day reservation for our RV. There was a big event at the parking lot across the street and they suggested we park there... we are over 60' with toad and no way... Even the toad could not fit. Staff directed my wife to bring the Jeep into the gate and for me to follow. Rv would not make the turn and no way to do it without going into a crowded parking lot with dozens of kids. Manager was horribly rude and it helpful. My wife saw the site and it was undersized and not even close to level. I had to back out and drive 5 miles and turn around. On my return the parking lot was still full of many kids and now way to get the rig in. Manager seemed to not care in the least bit. Avoid this place if you don't want it o be frustrated. Horrible manager and no care for their clients.. I am left with a damaged Rv and a wasted 2 day reservation deposit! read more

The only good thing about this park is the view. The owner really needs to stay out of campers camping spots. She was walking around our spot in the late night. Looking into our camper and our tent. She was very off putting and made it so we avoided our camp all day. We only stayed the second night because we had already paid in advance. I will never camp at this location again. The spots are to close, the amenities aren't that great. We drove in to food trucks and people everywhere. That is not camping. It's a glorified party campground. Attended a company picnic at Vasa Park. This is not a public park, but rather a venue that is very park like. As a result, I saw numerous other company groups were also holding picnics here the same afternoon. Vasa Park is located on the shores of Lake Sammamish. It is located a bit east of Eastgate in Bellevue. You drive a long and winding road to reach Vasa. There is a parking lot across the street for your convenience. While you don't have to pay for parking, there is an entrance fee if you are not coming here as part of a group function. There are numerous picnic table areas here along with space for barbecue grilling. Since it is a private venue, I thought it was cool that my company was able to bring in a dunk tank and an ice cream truck for the event. You couldn't do that at a local park. I wouldn't come here on my own though. I don't think the day fee is worth it. There are numerous public beach parks nearby that are comparable to what they offer here. But as a private venue, this is a nice spot to hold an outdoor company event in the summer by the water. read more

We went for picnic in July 4th. While most other parks were busy with long lines of cars around them, we easily found parking and two picnic tables. You can do your own bbq with a portable grill of buy some bbq or other food from there. The park has activities for kids, access to the lake and kayak and even jet ski rentals (if I'm not mistaking). On July 4th they asked everyone to leave at 8pm to prep for the fireworks show and they opened again at 9. The show started after 10. It's a good spot to watch fireworks across the lake, there was a local show but the fireworks across the lake stole the show. Oh there is a 4.50$ entrance fees per adult. There was no fee for the fireworks show, it was open to everyone. read more

Loved this place! Stayed over night in campsite 4 - yes, the sites are close to one another but that did not bother us. There's plenty of room to set up your campsite. The staff is great - nice people making sure your stay is going well. They even come and drop off fire pits when you request it. The electrical outlets come in handy. Showers are $.25 per 5 minutes - not bad at all I'll definitely be back. read more

While there is nothing physically wrong (mostly) with the RV portion of this establishment, the constant loud, crowded daytime parties make it a nightmare. Children's summer camps playing outrageously loud polka music (not kidding) until 8-9 pm (enough to be heard quite well over our own loud movie, as the group was not twenty feet away), plus business parties with audio systems and shoutouts. There was always hundreds of people EVERYWHERE. There was a nice park and water access nearby but it was always so packed with people it was scarcely worth using. We opted for the full hookup site, which is by the water, but when we got back people from another party by the lake were sitting in OUR site. The other sites are packed in like sardines, with not an arms-span between each RV. Might be a nice place for day activities, but as an RV Park it SUCKS! read more

Had a company picnic here and the location was great! covered picnic areas to avoid the sun and there was access to the beach. The is a big parking lot right across the street so easy to access. Looks like a great place to go to access the lake but looks like their is a fee to enter if you aren't going for a company picnic. read more

It's ok, but the negatives of our campsite bugged me. We paid for the 30 amp service and the 30 amp breaker was defective (wiggle it to make it work, then would pop open at the slightest electrical load). The 110v service carried our energy load so we went on about our business just not feeling good about paying for the higher service. Also, there was no space next to or behind our campsite that was level to lay out our mat. As we looked around at all the other campsites we saw nice level areas next to the RVs where chairs and the big mats were sitting, so it is not like they did not have them. I used to live about a dozen docks south of here but now that I'm grown up and live in the burbs this place makes me want to go back to lakeside living! It cost me and the girls $8 to get in (parking was free). We had a great day - camped out by the water - with a picnic table and cabana set up, there were lots of people and parties behind us (but we didn't even notice them). Girls had a great time swimming and would definitely come back. The "ballroom" is the grange-like hall in the parking lot - I can remember coming to several events here but none were what you would expect in a "ballroom"....think arts/crafts shows, 50th anniversary parties, etc.... read more

This review is for tent camping. We came here with a group of friends and our families so we took up four of the sites next to one another. I would camp again if i was with other groups of friends. The cons were not enough to bother me. Pros: -clean bathrooms -family restrooms/showers -shower $.25 per five minutes -private beach with slides and diving boards -fire pits available upon request -playground -basketball court -snacks/ice cream for sale Cons: -camp sites are extremely close together. if we weren't staying with friends, it would be very uncomfortable -no shade on campsites -beach gets crowded -campers are not allowed to participate in the private events that are held there. it is a small place and events take up a majority of it. it is nearly impossible to keep toddlers away from bounce houses and face painting. -the ballroom is right across the street and is incredibly loud well past midnight with music -it's right along the road so at night and in the morning, the cars are really loud read more

During our October stay we enjoyed the lakeside, uncrowded setting close to Seattle. But at $60 per night it is quite expensive. I assume they justify that with the Resort title. Yes, there is swimming and boating in the Summer, but this didn't apply to us. Just wanted a place to stay. They indicate that Wi-Fi is available but the only way to receive it is to sit right outside the office door. Another problem is that is designated as dog friendly, but due to strict enforcement of rules it was less than accommodating. Dogs are only allowed on your campsite, or in a field across the road. So no leisurely walks with your canine friend through the park. read more

We stayed at the RV park recently and loved the location of Vasa Park. The staff was very nice and helpful and the facilities were very clean. But there are a few things to be aware of... If you reserve a water/electric only site they do not have 30 amp power - only a regular 20 amp outlet. While the full hookup sites seem more spacious, the water/electric only sites are right on top of each other - we could literally reach out and touch the trailers on either side of us and we were not able to use our awning. They provided a wifi password, but we were never able to successfully use wifi because the signal strength was nonexistent from our site. Also, the park seems to regularly host private events, so for three of the four days we were there, the majority of the park was busy with hundreds of people who arrived for corporate events. The location of this park was perfect for us and provided easy access to the city. It's in a beautiful setting right on the lake. We'd return, but only if we were able to reserve one of the few full hookup sites. read more

Did you Notice that the official pictures don't include any shots of RV camping area? There's a reason. The Google website search information says all camping spaces for RVs are paved and have full hook up...that is the opposite of the truth: 20 amp service unlevel gravel spots. This resort gets three stars because of the amenities for families... If you have kids, the beach and activities in the water are the real attraction and for some, might make up for the unacceptable RV campsites. read more

My company has it's annual picnic here, so really, so basically all I do here is drink a lot. But, it's a nice place to drink a lot. it's located right on Lake Sammamish, easy access from Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, etc. It's only about 20 minutes from my work. There is swimming, you can rent jet ski's, there are slides, and lots of fun stuff for kids. The park is big enough to have multiple parties going at once. There is also an area for camping. Parking is across the street, and unless you are there for an event, there is a fee to use the park, but makes sense since it is a "Resort". It's a great place for a Company Picnic, or maybe a family get together. You can bring in caterers, have alcohol, you know, all the important things. read more

We stayed in the RV park for one night in the middle of the week. The staff were WONDERFUL, the bathroom/showers cheap and very clean, the beach & view were lovely -- and as soon as we parked, the ducks came running to welcome us. Price was reasonable, hook-ups worked great. If you have some urge to take a cab into the city, beware of cabbies who offer a return deal & stand you up. And then beware of other cabbies who 'get lost' trying to find the park. Plan to stay again on my next trip! read more

I have not been to many private lakeside parks, so I'm not sure how this compares. My inexperienced opinion is that it is nice to know you can go to a pleasant, clean park like this, with bathrooms and other facilities, for a fee. Seattle beach parks are great, so I don't think there is any special reason to go here just to spend a day at the lake. They do have camping spots, which is nice for out of town visitors looking for a place to camp close to the city, and with a beautiful view! Also probably good for private parties. I love this place. Seriously. I have been coming here for company picnics since I was a tot and my grandmother worked for the phone company (anyone remember US West?). So yeah, right on the lake, nice spot for little ones to teens/adults. Plenty of picnic tables and shelters, the staff keep the kids in the water safe and the garbage cans emptied. They also accommodate a TON of vehicles in the parking lot across the street. Also they are right off the freeway. Let's just say, if I ever had a big event to plan outside, I'd look to book here first. read more

We visited the park today to make arrangements for my inlaws who will be visiting this summer. We will be staying @ the Embassy Suites while they stay in the trailer and this was hands down the best park in the Seattle vicinity. The manager Susie was very helpful and the grounds look amazing! You can tell they really care about keeping it up. My 2 year old really enjoyed the playground and the waterslides & swimming area will be so fun this summer when we return. We visited the restrooms and they were clean & showers inexpensive- 25 cents for 5 minutes. I'm not a big camper but this seemed like a good deal to me. Their prices are also a lot less than the other parks in the area which is wonderful. read more

I recently stayed in this place the last three days and let me tell you, there has been issue after issue with this place. The number one issue my group has encountered has been direct racism the entire stay here. My friend was constantly berated by the white staff on duty and when confronting the owner, she completely brushed it off and was completely inconsiderate of their feelings and placed blame upon us for the issues she and staff caused. When asking her for help with something, she was completely disrespectful towards and derogatory with everything she said. Also don't expect to buy firewood before they close, they will close the tills half an hour before the office closes, completely inconsiderate of people who don't carry cash anymore (due to a pandemic). It's a gorgeous park ran by racists and I would never recommend anyone to come stay here and I wish I never did. Don't waste your money, it's not worth it. read more

Vasa park rocks for swimming! Clean cold lakewater with a dock to swim from. No need to stick your toes in nassssty weeedses and muck -- swim straight from the shore dock to the swimming platform. Nice sunny patches to rest and warm up in. Water slides. This year -- diving boards! You have to pay a few dollars to get in. Who cares? Watch out for the goose poop!! And ... what ballroom?!? I had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth and her staff at Vasa Park Resort to plan a socially distanced corporate drive-in movie event for our employees during the COVID summer. Vasa Park was easy to work with and extremely responsive to my numerous emails and phone calls. I had many questions and concerns about safety and social distancing, and they answered/addressed every one of them. Their pricing was reasonable, and the facilities were clean and well-kept. The staff wore masks and were very skilled in queuing up the vehicles and arranging them so that the back-row vehicles could tailgate. The 30-foot screen was awesome and easily viewable by all 50 vehicles at the event. Sound quality was great, since it was broadcast over an FM station directly to individual car radios. An example of their flexibility was when we requested the ability to tap into their sound system for a company presentation before the movie. They went out of their way to make it happen; they tested several options and ended up having to purchase an adapter to make things work...we weren't charged for the adapter or their time! The venue even allowed us to distribute our own snack bags to our employees. Our guests supplemented the snack bags by purchasing other treats from Vasa Park's concession stand, because it was hard to resist the variety of goodies that they offered! Vasa Park did a fantastic job with our event, right down to the smallest details...like decorating the staircase to the concession stand with themed balloons and streamers. The concession stand is currently located in the Event Center (it was a dance hall in the 1950-60s!), and I had the opportunity to appreciate the original wooden floors and elevated stage. I'm really looking forward to seeing the progress they make on the renovation of the Event Center. Five stars all the way! read more

The owners were awesome and super accommodating, parking was plentiful, you can swim in the lake, there's a playground for kids... And the best part? Unlike all of the places in Seattle we looked at, you can serve booze here! (Yes, Vasa Park is private and we were looking at public Seattle parks, but is there an inexpensive private Seattle park? We have our company picnic here every summer and it's crowded but nice, right on the lake. It's privately owned so you'll pay a fee, but it is always clean and staffed. Swimming beach with dock, lifeguard and water slide and plenty of grass and trees. The site we always pick is next to the volleyball court and has a large covered shelter with a big grill and lots of picnic tables. There's also camping available here and weddings and events are held in the Ballroom, which acutally looks like a big modern barn. read more

I used to frequent this park as a kid, swim all day and then get sick overindulging on the blackberries that grow here. I haven't been camping here in a good long while, so I won't comment much on that (though camp spots are way too close to each other). But I have been here for some water play. They have playground equipment, beach & docks for swimming and laying out, plenty of picnic tables, snack shop, but the floating dock with short water slides and diving boards are the most popular features. Entrance here is $4.50 for adults, $2.50 for kids 6 & up. There are free parks around the lake with nearly as many amenities. So is it worth it? Maybe. But this place has a serious problem...PRIVATE PARTIES, all summer long. Best case scenario, these events (many of them local business summer parties) make the park amenities very crowded, annoyingly so. Often times, a few parties are going at once! Worst case scenario, they simply close the park to the public. You must check their online calendar to find days without reservations. Because Vasa is overrun with summer parties, and also doesn't allow dogs I took off a star. If you are lucky to find a nice quiet day to share with a few other families, go and enjoy. Sadly, those days are almost nonexistent anymore. read more

My company has been having its annual summer picnic here for years and years. The view of the lake is gorgeous, and the park itself doesn't look half shabby in comparison. I do second the "what ballroom?" sentiment... and word around the office is that we had to move our picnic from the always-planned Saturday to Sunday because the park overbooked -- ruh roh! They serve a decent assortment of your standard picnic/BBQ fare and alcohol is even permitted -- a rarity for Seattle-area parks as they're mostly public land. Vasa Park also allows space for huge blow-up slides and a steel drum band, they have a sand volleyball court, and as others have mentioned, well kept water area. read more

Vasa Park Resort hosted our nonprofit organization for a drive-in and event was definitely a hit. The manager Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with; responsive and accommodating. She was present for event and was helpful in providing last minute changes to ensure everyone had a great time. Sound was played through FM station and screen was very clear. Staff were on hand (and masked) to ensure everyone parked for maximum visibility of the screen for the group. Bathrooms were clean and concession area had plenty of room for social distancing. read more
