We got a room booked for the day to change gear after hiking in the snow with our dog and have a safe warm place for our dog to rest while we went out for a few hours on snowmobiles. When we booked mountain home lodges Pounder Rock cabin, we were excited for a weekend away from the…read morehustle and bustle of full-time jobs, kids, and pets. What we didn't know was what a special place Kathy and Brad had created for their guests. Our adventure started once we headed up a gravel road. At first, we thought we'd take a wrong turn - but no sooner that thought than a sign on a tree, "Mountain Home Lodge 2.2miles." We knew we were on the right track. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Sierra and Millie, the MHL doggies. Brad came out with Carlos to say hi, ask if we needed anything- and loaded up our things to take to the cabin. Brad made sure we knew how the things worked, turned on the music, and left us to settle in. The cabin was perfect! Chairs in front of the fireplace, fluffy king-sized bed, large jacuzzi tub, rocking chairs and table on the porch, and a comfy couch in the loft to watch a movie. Small details were not missed - light toiletries, kurieg, and coffee. Blankets on every chair inside and out and plenty of towels. Did I mention the water pressure was awesome!? Around 5:30, we headed to the Lodge for appetizers prepared by Kathy- squash soup shots with crustini, cream cheese, strawberries, and a balsamic glaze. The view was amazing while we munched on our goodies. Kathy and Brad are so friendly and full of easy conversation. After appetizers, we headed back to our cabin and played a couple round of chess - the upstairs hutch had a few games for us to play. We fired up the jacuzzi tub and enjoyed a drink while basking in the mountain. Millie and Sierra stopped by to say goodnight, which we loved being dog people. We sat on the porch with them and watched the sky change from light to dark. In the mornings, there is a delightful breakfast offered. Everything was delicious. Kathy and Brad made lovely recommendations for things to do and food to eat. We were considering a hike, and millie and Sierra offered to come along. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for a hike- but we will definitely go with them next time! While we ate breakfast in the lodge, we decided to check out the mountain with the binoculars. I think my husband spent most of his time peering at the mountain with the binoculars at the Lodge and cabin. But like I said, the small touches make this place special. It's definitely a wonderful place to unplug. The quiet, views, and accommodations are amazing. I'm so happy to add Mountian Home Lodge to our not so far- feels like a real vacation getaways.

We JUST got home from MHL…read more My husband and I stayed two wonderful nights there, perched up on the mountain, away from the hustle and bustle of the Oktoberfest celebration going on downtown, but still close enough to walk in or take a cab (we did both) when we wanted to get in on the fun. As parents of a 3 year old and a 1 year old, we have not felt this relaxed in a LONG time. Brad and Kathy have thought of literally everything. Need a wine opener? No problem. Champagne chiller? You got it. Trail maps, walking sticks, snow shoes, movies to watch, games to play.... no problem. It's all there for guests to borrow. We stayed in the Mountain Trout room, which was nicely appointed with a queen bed, super plush carpet, comfy robes, oversized towels, and really nice sheets. As we were lucky enough to squeeze in after someone else canceled, we didn't get our pick of a room, but we didn't mind at all. Included in our rate was a healthy and delicious breakfast made by the lodge chef, using many ingredients harvested from the property. We were also treated to complimentary appetizers and wine in the evenings. It was divine. Brad and Kathy take great pride in the lodge and love to share their knowledge of the local area, from where to have dinner or where to hike. Like another reviewer said; nothing feels fake. You feel like a welcomed guest in a very comfortable setting, and you leave feeling like you have made new friends. A nice touch was the balloons that were in our room upon our arrival. They knew we were there for an anniversary and this was a very sweet gesture. We also found a small bottle of port waiting for us in our room each evening. A typical day was waking up, enjoying the lovely breakfast and views, chatting with the hosts and other guests, hiking the trails immediately behind the lodge (We did the Peshastin Lookout; approximately 5 miles RT and spectacular) with the resident dog "Millie", coming back for a soak in the outdoor hot tub, then walking or driving into downtown for shopping, dinner (if not eating at the lodge), or Oktoberfest shenanigans, then back to the lodge for a game of cards in the media room. Repeat. We would come back to MHL a million times over. 5 stars all the way around. Thank you so very much!

***Get Everything in Writing***…read more We stayed at this Easton RV Resort on a monthly basis from May through July with the intention of remaining until winter. Before leaving for a one-week trip to Montana, we informed management multiple times that we would be gone temporarily and would be returning. Our vehicle also remained on site, making it clear that we had not permanently left. We were under the impression that our monthly stay would continue using the card already on file. We later learned the campground calls each month to obtain payment authorization, and because we had little to no cell service while in Montana, we missed Lisa's call. When we returned, we were told our site had been given to someone else because we hadn't answered the call. We were then informed that if another site was available, it would cost an additional $100 per month, when we said we'd rather not, Lisa said the owner wanted us to reapply for monthly and that we would be charged a daily rate until she accepts us again. When I respectfully asked to see the campground's policy to avoid further miscommunication, I was told they had "cut us a lot of slack," that they had "been good to us & bended the rules" that I had an attitude, and that they no longer wanted us there. At no point was the requested policy provided. What disappointed us most wasn't simply losing our site. It was how the situation was handled. We had communicated our travel plans in advance, intended to continue our monthly stay through the winter, and our vehicle remained on site. While there was clearly a misunderstanding about the monthly payment process, we had hoped for a more professional conversation and a willingness to explain the applicable policy rather than dismissing our concerns. If you're considering staying here long-term, I recommend getting all agreements, payment procedures, and campground policies in writing so there are no misunderstandings.

Location is 5 minute bike ride away from state park trails and lake Not paved so gets a bit dusty as the campground and RV/tent spots are on dirt/gravel Can be a little too crowded for some $10 reservation change fee no matter what To be honest if you are staying at any RV "resort" then I wouldn't expect serious camping by any means (seclusion, primitive, etc). That being said if RV "resort" camping is your thing than I doubt this is the classiest place you'll ever camp. BUT if you're like us, who are just middle of the road, enjoy a good time and good location, then this is a great little gem! If you can't get a spot in the park but want to camp near at Lake Easton than this is a great second choice. Easy access to everything and you can easily meet up with friends and family who might be staying in the park. We were NOT disappointed!

I stopped in both times in hopes of indulging on an espresso drink in the afternoon hours and have been utterly disappointed and heartbroken when I parked, went inside, and was greeted with a sign that declared that the espresso stand was closed. I am very unhappy that there appears to be no one available to operate and serve espresso either time I have taken the time to stop in. The lodge looks like a nice place but I feel that it is very deceptive to advertise espresso so prominently outside and not have it available for customers. I'm really uncertain if I will ever take the time to stop in for anything at this point after being so disappointed.

We waited until they were done to fill up our 6 5-Gallon water jugs. The drive to the location was pleasant, and it was so simple to get the water since there were a lot of water hoses to use. Nice setup for the filtered Spring Water! Good to obtain and try since it's much closer than the previous location we used to go to. Outdoor area for the water is kind of hidden, but liked the convenience to get it for a small donation. Nice and scenic trails are available, too!

Wish that there was staff on standby during business hours to address any questions or concerns that you may have because I was genuinely worried about parking as it was tooooo empty for my liking...

You check out of the room by 11 and the hotel by 11... there your problem is solved. Please don't embarrass us Romanians like that next time and listen to your wife about not being rude to staff (this was when we were in the sauna and you just couldn't seem to stop talking)... I tried so hard not to pay attention to you but you couldn't help but draw attention to yourself. Next time please be quieter or just don't talk at all. I know this is embarrassing for you. Everything at this hotel is EXCELLENT as usual. The only thing that made it less excellent was your complaining. I can already see the future, you calling the hotel to complain about my review because I'm 100% sure you're about to post a complaint and will stumble upon this... please when you call to complain to the hotel about my review, will you let them know you're the short Romania man that I'm talking about...... who complained about having to check out of the room and still being allowed to use the amenities. Salute. Pool staff is excellent, they stay very professional and have classy behavior. The only time we've had issues at the pool is when there are needy guest. They draw so much attention to themselves when we're just trying to relax. Thankfully it's only been a few of the times we've been there. These people usually strike me as those less fortunate in spirit and at the bank. It's clear they over extended their bank account and are trying to milk it for every cent. I wish I could tell them to just go home but that would be giving them the attention they desperately seek.. and I'm sure would cause the staff more issues. Reception and dinning staff also excellent. They are very professional and kind. I've gotten so used to coming here I hate to say I have forgotten some of the formalities like waiting to be seated in the dinning room but the staff didn't make me feel bad for it. The entrance is locked, so I used the call button, and a staff member told me I could come in with a few questions. I walked the few steps straight to the front desk. It quickly became clear entry was for me alone perhaps I missed this part over the intercom, and my group was commanded to "get out" outside like we just trespassed and they obliged fast, legit they were scared. Now how a hotel wants to run its business is the hotel's call to make, and I don't dispute it. What I take issue with is the delivery and lack of respect. When I calmly mentioned this wasn't a great first impression with a light chuckle to make light of situation and tried to explain how it came off , the front desk employee, who identified himself as Michael, cut me off with "stop, stop" instead of a brief, courteous explanation. His reasoning was that this is a "guest exclusive" hotel, which is an odd thing to lead with toward someone who walked in specifically to ask about becoming a guest. I have no issue with a guests-only, adults-only policy. My issue is entirely with how a prospective, paying customer was treated at the door. For a property with this reputation and price point, I expected warmth and patience. What I got was curt and dismissive from the first moment. I'm 34 years old and I've never had a hotel interaction like this. This is only the second review about a hotel I've written in my life and the first negative one. I don't make a habit of complaining. I walked in genuinely hoping to book, wanting to become one of the five-star reviews I'd read. Instead I left having been talked over at the front desk. If you're weighing whether the glowing ratings tell the whole story, take that for what it's worth. To the Johnson family and Steinbock Resorts: five generations in Leavenworth, a hotel you designed and built with your own hands, a reputation people drive across the state for. That legacy deserves better representation at the door. One employee, in one minute, can undo years of what your family spent decades building. Everything was absolutely delicious and truly a highlight of our stay. We highly recommend dining there. That said, there were some areas that could be improved. The biggest issue was the lack of clarity regarding which amenities and activities were available to hotel guests versus guests staying in privately owned properties, as well as what was included in the stay and what required an additional fee. Our arrival was particularly difficult. We had communicated in advance that we would be arriving early after traveling from California, but our chalet was not ready until after 5 p.m. We had perishable food with us and explained the situation, but unfortunately received very little assistance or compassion while waiting. Some of our food had to be discarded. One staff member assisting with cars and luggage was incredibly kind and brought us ice to help, which we greatly appreciated. Despite these issues, Suncadia is a beautiful property with tremendous potential. With clearer communication, better coordination for guests staying in privately owned properties, and more organized family activities included with your stay, I think the experience could be exceptional.

We arrived & the valet guy was incredibly helpful with the check-in process & transporting our bags to the room. The property is beautiful and our room with hot tub was impressive. The Source bar within the hotel has great drinks & food, but the service staff was the best I've ever had anywhere. The bartender, she made the drinks strong enough that it felt worth the cost (which I was greatful for) and made them sweeter when I needed them to be. The waiter Mason........ literally the best waiter I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Just attentive enough to feel taken care of, but not so much to be annoying, he was also training a new employee and was doing a fantastic job from what i was seeing. Explaining the job to such a degree of understanding that I only wish every restaurant had a "Mason" to train new employees. I want to give 3 Gold stars to the chef for the perfectly cooked lobster and shrimp mac. Im no pro, but I know how hard it is to cook lobster & shrimp to perfection thanks to the Food Network and the perfectly Al Dente bucatini with marsala mushrooms were sauted to ultimate tastiness. It's been a long time since we've had a meal that well cooked & it was delicious. Day 2, My husband & I had couples massage & facial at The Glade. Emily & Hailey were absolutely amazing massage therapist, they both listened to our needs in detail & they were executed to absolute perfection. Not once, did I need to tell her softer or harder and I have a severely broken foot i had surgery on 6wks ago. Every move she made, was made with my absolute comfort & relaxation in mind. Conversion was easy & relaxed, it felt like we've known them both for years. I would suggest that management consider Hailey's ideas in adding soundbath therapies. That would have made an incredible experience that much better. After our massage, I had a facial with Abby. She as well, listened to my needs and gave me the most spectacular & soothing facial with an equally easy & relaxed conversation. It felt wonderful to be taken care of to such a degree. The oxygenating fizzofoliant was so wonderfully bizarre that I purchased a bottle for myself. We had dinner reservations made a few minutes down the road so we were given shuttle service by Doyle, a hilariously quirky lovely older gentleman that played the best music for our 5 minute trip and Ben who jumped in to pick us up after dinner when Doyle was busy shutting other guests. The food at The Stovehouse was incredibly delicious, the tortilla chips were freshly made & perfectly crisp, the salsa had just the right amount chunk to sauce to heat & the guacamole was so good it had to be handmade. Clearly by someone who has a 100 year old family guacamole recipe running through their veins. The tuna was perfectly seared and the greens fresh & crisp, but again, our server Brennan was just as fantastic as we had at The source. He was perfectly attentive without feeling overwhelming & was incredibly helpful with a few silly requests that I had. All the staff seemed genuinely happy and content to work there, not a single word or action felt forced or even only nice because they were being paid to as part of the job. I really hope they're paid well, because Suncadia hit the jackpot with all of them. The only complaints we could nit pick about was that with my broken foot I wasn't able to take the 1,000 steps down to the river, the coffee shop doesn't open until 7am & The Glade could use a cold plunge pool for the people who like to use the mineral pools & sauna for long periods of time. It happens to be in downtown Cle Elum, and as in with walking distance to a few local bars and restaurants. From the moment we stepped in, we felt so much at home. The space was warm and charming with attention to detail on all levels. The room had an appealing modern atmosphere. The cozy bed with luxury sheets and pillows were amazing to sleep in. We loved having our coffee in the morning in the front room with the small kitchenette. We also enjoyed having access to a fridge where we could bring back a nice bottle of wine for a nightcap. When we went to check out, I have the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ellen and her adorable dog Lady. The lobby is quite elegant with treasure troves a beautiful treasures. I shared with her that we truly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back!

I did see they were listed on Airbnb as well, but I booked directly through their website, we got the King studio for around $200 for the night. The morning of check-in I received an email for a contactless check-in, that was a nice touch! The hotel is in a great location and main street is just around the corner from it! We parked on the street, got into our room with the code they emailed us, and walked into town for dinner. The room is super cute! Nice modern touches all around. The walls are kinda thin, later in the night we heard ppl downstairs, it sounded like in the staircase, and it was pretty loud, but didn't last for long. The bed was comfy, they had dishes, mini fridge (no freezer in this room), and a convenient microwave. I did notice this hotel is listed on Redfin for sale ($4+ mill, I was just poking around Redfin and noticed the listing). Hopefully if they sell, the facilities will stay as nice! I asked the front desk and they have been open for almost 2 years they said. Looks brand spanking new still, especially compared to the historic buildings of Roslyn. Loved our stay here and would recommend to friends under current management! (which a friend did end up booking for a weekend because she saw my photos I posted on my IG hehe)

Confusing room service options. TV displayed options that werent available and didnt match what was shown online. Staff on phone was dismissive 2. Room wasnt ready. We had to wait and staff at front desk were not the best 3. We went down for smores and at 9:01 pm after trying to find the table ( not near fire pit) , we asked for marshmallows/chocolate and someone had it in hand walking into back, and when we asked, they said " sorry were done for the night". Like they could have just given us the treats even if 1 minute late, plus it was hard to locate where supplies were. No signage or anything. 4. Misleading info making it seem Nelson Family Pool is available to lodge guests on website 5. Pool lifeguards and staff were rude. Lifeguard was in charge of making slushies at front pool desk and seemed like he could care less. 6. Ketsup out for almost the entire afternoon at food truck at pool. Like there's fries and chicken strips- kinda need ketsup? They also closed up early one day 7. We tried to add on tie dye after the kayak experience but staff seemed annoyed we were asking about it. Also there was dye on the grass that stained our feet walking to kayak. 8. Parking at lodge was lacking. The restaurants next door at Social werent open yet. We had to order swiftwater cellar to go just for lunch options cause food was lacking for kids. Also, to note- door dash is non existent here. Don't even try it. Just go eat at swift water cellars or make your own stuff from Roslyn Grocery
