Like most nonprofits, Treehouse can always use help. My (former) workplace ran a clothing drive and then a group of about 10 of us sorted and tagged clothes for the Wearhouse. The questions were *very* familiar, some were almost exactly what I saw on the crams, in the books, and what we practiced in class with games. I feel like I could hear the instructors (Deborah) voice in my head drilling in the information and correct answers that I needed to answer the questions. I followed Rockwell's advice about passing all the cram tests with at least 90%, I tried to not rush through the state exam, but it felt easy. There was one thing I hadn't heard of or seen before on the test, they used the term "mutual assent" to talk about a "meeting of the minds," I had never heard of mutual assent before, but this was minor. The math problems were even easier on the state than the ones on the crams, so that was nice. Overall, if you're like me and you want to avoid all the nervousness of taking a major exam by being prepared, then Rockwell is a worthwhile investment - worth every penny and every minute of time. I love that I felt the exam was easy and moved through the questions with ease.

When I was able to start my studies again I was faced with expired but you can renew it by paying nearly the same amount to extend for 90 days! I sent a message requesting they consider reducing that if possible. I was barely into month seven at the time. After a few days of no response I sent another message expressing my disappointment that I had not received a response good or bad. After waiting a few more days it was time - I have since purchased the class I needed for less money through another provider. My clientele have always received same day responses! I have no patience for a company that offers "No customer service!

Some of the services available include career planning and education counseling, five on-post colleges and universities, as well as access to 19 different off-post colleges. The Ed Center also offers test proctoring for those students enrolled in online courses. There is also a digital library for soldiers who are looking for a specific Army manual. There is a nice computer lab on the second floor and anyone with a valid military ID can utilize the computers and print documents. The MWR Bookstore is located on the first floor and allows college students the opportunity to purchase textbooks and school supplies. The staff at the bookstore are very friendly and helpful. Battle Bean Coffee Shop is right next to the bookstore and offers a variety of coffee and snacks. Parking is ample and convenient. For those who are utilizing the Fort Lewis Shuttle, the shuttle stop is directly in front of Stone Education Center.

The atmosphere is energetic and "neatly appointed", to boot (the Brooklyn, NY wallpaper in the bathroom stalls is always fun). I am a graphic designer who wanted to get Front End Development skills. I checked out other Seattle locations as well as online courses and GA just made sense for me. This FEWD course focused specifically on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As a designer who was skeptical about learning code, I only wanted to focus on these three languages as a way to introduce myself to the world of code. I also have tried online courses only to be distracted while taking them. I figured being accountable to show up for a class two times a week for 10 weeks was the perfect way to go for me. My instructors (you get two!) were VERY knowledgable AND passionate about what they do. You could ask them anything and they knew the answer. They were very generous with their time and answering questions outside of class as well as during. I can't recommend Steve Minor and Noah Collins enough. One caveat - as a designer whose brain is less wired for code than it is for design, this class moves FAST. Be prepared to put in a lot of time outside of class. It was clear to me that General Assembly is heavily invested in their community and making sure their students get the most out of their experience. Also, they provide a TON of info sessions, workshops, bootcamps - they have a lot to choose from if you are looking to get involved in the tech community and the Seattle community in general. I decided to have my daughter attend because she has traveled to most places in the US and to my home land the last couple of years. I wanted COVID to be a positive experience and not coup her up in the house. Since attending DLEC my daughter has learned her basic education her cousins are learning in Kindergarten. My daughter learned so much and worth the experience. I travel from Seatac and sometimes Auburn to drop off and pick her up but it's so worth it. She has even got accepted into her local school without testing to join kindergarten when she turns 4. I'm glad to have her start her education very young. Everyone thinks she's very smart and a fast learner, visually and physically. Also her social skills has improved so much. She's not shy around people and communicate with those when spoken too. Thanks to all the staff for making her beginning education experience so much fun and challenging during these tough time in our lives. I appreciate very single staff!

A google search for Ramco in Seattle is misleading. Overall this is a bare bones, generic training for corporate folks who need to up their skills in certain software suites (advanced Excel skills for instance). They provide the computer, the instructor and some coffee/water/pretzels. The class is all day (8:30 am call time in my case). The instructor was good. The class was varying in skill level (some people really should have been in more intro classes) but that didn't really deter from the pace. He stuck to the material which is good, but I would have preferred more time spent on things like shortcuts and tricks. Overall, this was a good class that I think is worth the time if you need to quickly gain some speed on software for work.

I figured I'd give it one more shot now that we recently moved from Bellevue to the Plateau/Highlands area. I purchased a bargain voucher for six sessions for one subject, admittedly not expecting much. (hint: their name ends with "on") Originally learned about this BIC location during kids' swimming class when I saw a pair of third graders doing their BIC tutoring homework in the bleachers. When I ran into a former neighbor of mine on our second week, I knew I might be onto something. The Issaquah location is open three times a week (Tue, Thur, Sun) and is managed by Mr Victor Ho. Victor also started a new Wednesday sessions at the EX3 Teen & Rec Center on the Samm. Plateau. BIC "Enrichment Courses" are divided into English and Math subject. Each session is 75 minutes long for one subject. Victor Students seems to be grouped by age/grade You have several students under the supervision of an adult teacher, and the students are expected to work on their own, "study hall" style, until they are stuck or otherwise have a question. Private tutoring this is not. Most of the hard work is at home, where the parents have to establish ad maintain a daily study routine for each kid. I've also noticed lot of anxious parents prepping their 6-8 year olds for the Cogat and achievement exams (I'm no sure if the latter is ITBS or Stanford10). Basically it's whatever BSD, ISD and LWSD are dishing out. I have no opinion on this particular offering, other than that it's popular and probably worth checking out if that's your focus. Ultimately, what sets the Issaquah operation apart is the dedication and accessibility of the branch manager, who has been receptive to and patient with my many questions and concerns about our kids progress (or sometimes, the lack thereof). Victor has been willing to tweak things so we can emphasize topics where there are gaps in understanding or merely insufficient mastery. Vic is also eager to hear about any errors / typos in the problem sets, as well as of any subpar tutoring sessions. As you'd expect, the tutoring competition is stiff on the Eastside but they seem to be thriving. Don't let their unassuming exterior and frankly, dingy interior fool you -- what they save on rent / furniture, they pass on the savings to you! (Seriously, BIC rates are lower than our previous tutoring programs.) This is a system that appears to be working for our children.

There is a kitchen that includes a 30-cup coffee maker, as well as two lovely water dispensers, and much more. There is a large screen with the electronics and speakers to show a slide show or movie. The parking lot is huge, the place is easy to find, right off the road, but it feels peaceful and secluded. The proprietor, Autumn, met us there to go through the electronics and the other details, and before I showed with all my snacks and flowers, she'd already put white tablecloths on all five (huge) tables, and pulled out additional smaller tables for pictures and memorabilia. Everything was spotlessly clean, including a large bathroom and cloakroom. Really, we couldn't have asked for more. I whole-heartedly recommend this venue!
