I got the time slot we wanted for an all-day meeting. I worked with Pam Dally, and she was great. When we arrived to the room, the guest login and password along with the phone extension were written on the whiteboard for us for the desktop we were using for the presentation. I had asked for an easel which wasn't there, but after asking at the front desk, one was brought up right away. The room was clean. GRCC doesn't set up the tables and chairs for you, but it was easy for us to do that ourselves for the small group we had. When we came back from lunch, I asked security to unlock the door for us, and he was happy to do so. He was a friendly guy who chatted me on the way there. The place was deserted on a Friday. I don't know if that is because there was a break in the semester or what. It was very quiet, which was perfect for us. We had one student bang on the door in the middle of our meeting asking to use the pencil sharpener, which wasn't a big deal. The only other disturbance all day was someone's car with the bass cranked up so loud it was shaking the wall on the third story for about two minutes. There is a big parking lot on the west side of Kent Station, next to GRCC which makes parking easier if the garage is full. There isn't a cafe or any vending machines anywhere that we could find so bring food or go out to eat. The bathrooms were well kept.

Though majority of my professors here are knowledgeable, kind and active in helping out students compared to the very very few who are not capable of communicating well... this wasn't really my main issue for the low rating. I understand certain teachers teach differently just as some students learn differently. The only reason I give it a 3 star is bc they tend to get political and push negativity about certain political parties! It's pretty awkward and uncomfortable when they get upset at a student for their political beliefs. Should only be focused on the study at hand, not education based on which party is best and hinting otherwise pushing you towards their personal beliefs... unless of course your taking political science and such.

When I was able to start my studies again I was faced with expired but you can renew it by paying nearly the same amount to extend for 90 days! I sent a message requesting they consider reducing that if possible. I was barely into month seven at the time. After a few days of no response I sent another message expressing my disappointment that I had not received a response good or bad. After waiting a few more days it was time - I have since purchased the class I needed for less money through another provider. My clientele have always received same day responses! I have no patience for a company that offers "No customer service!

Plus the employees were very sweet and helpful. This place was very helpful and answered any questions I had from start to finish. They respond to emails really quick especially when I had any concerns. We've been at WorldKids since 2021, across 3 locations and 2 kids. The education and care they…read morehave received has been excellent, the teachers and on-site staff are fantastic, and we've overall been happy with our kids' experiences there. The only significant downside has been that we have had continual billing issues going back almost 2 years. You have to stay on top of your statements to ensure you are not overcharged. We've had to manually prompt many times over the past year and a half to rectify these issues. This knocks *at least* one star off. I still highly recommend the school part - our kids have learned an incredible amount.

I also left three voicemails and, 10 days later, have yet to receive a return call. Their website provides no clear way to register online, making the lack of phone support especially frustrating. I was ready to enroll my teen, but the complete lack of communication left me no choice but to look elsewhere.

Office manager brought small dogs in building with her daily which was a distraction as well. Binders were out of order, instructor unfamiliar with a lot of materials. $1000 for 5 days instruction. Passing score was at least 90%...so over half class failed. You get one retake. I scheduled the retake and they denied me less than 24 hrs notice saying instructor was sick. Not my problem. I want my money back. Look elsewhere if you need this course credit to work.

And fun to listen to sea stories that are relevant to the lesson being taught. Prices very reasonable and Veterans benefits approved. Discounts for local hotels, application assistance to the coast guard. The office was extremely helpful and pleasant. I will be looking to take the 200 ton Master here and highly recommend the 100 ton Master course.
